  2. Thanks and kudos for the excellent work guys! Most of the changes are appropriate, keep the design philosophies in tact/ mind, are well thought and not over the top. And the icons are freakin' beautiful! Well done! Can't imagine the blood, sweat and hard work that went into this. The fact that it's a community patch is especially important to me. Without a very wide range of players of this community using and accepting it, I wouldn't dare to touch such a mod.

  3. Weapon Mastery change is included in CommunityPatchExtra. I have added it to the changelog list As for wands - that will be in a future update. I will think about it) Meanwhile have added a few screenshots of the icons you made. Thank you again, for investing into them) Bingo! That's why I started that initiative with polishing thread and poll in the first place. Because I'm in the same boat)

  5. Was looking at the Owlcat forums, and it turns out somebody made a turn-based mod for Kingmaker. Looks pretty decent from the video the creator posted. Needs Unity Mod Manager, but so do most Kingmaker mods, as far as I'm aware. Just thought somebody might be interested in it. I definitely plan to give a try at some point (I'd like to finish the game normally first, though. Hopefully the kingdom management is less terrible now in the EE.)

  6. After a lengthy period of gathering players' feedback, theorycrafting and balancing, we have come with a Community Patch Mod - a community based collection of tweaks and improvements. Community Patch consists of the following stand-alone modules: Basic - includes a lot of suggestions from the Deadfire Polishing Poll - a poll made by players for players, in order to pinpoint the possible balance problems and address them. Basic mod - is a conservative patch, it includes only those suggestions that have twice more votes pro than votes against change. (note: in case of suggestion with multiple options - we were aggregating them) Extra - also includes the suggestions from Deadfire Polishing Poll. But only those that didn't make it into Basic package, but still have more votes pro than votes against. Additionally, Extra includes a few fixes for several bug reports that we have found on the official technical forums. Keywords - address the randomness and apparent lack of systematic approach to spell keywords. This mainly affects priest, and to a lesser degree druids, ciphers and wizards. Typos - fixes a wide array of typos found in the English version of the game. Icons - adds a completely unique set of icons for all passive talents and effects. They were handcrafted with being as suggestive, unique and fitting as possible, in mind. For more info, you can check the mod page, or original thread on these forums, here.

  7. I just now realized that what Andrea's mod does is "unnerfing". I seriously was wondering why it was an unnerving mod. Like if it had enemies who scratch over chalkboards with their claws or something.

  9. Yes. Load it after CP, just in case. @Boeroer Sorry for this little mess witn Icons - it seems like some weird data corruption in .gamedatabundle file, because i double checked it and find no technical mistakes. Unnerving)

  11. for those still wondering why josh no longer contributes on the boards am recalling how josh discovered deadfire might attribute were not working as intended only immediate before release in spite o' fact the quirky implementation o' might were a frequent topic o' discussion on these boards. have personal criticized developer overreliance on board feedback given fact we never provide meaningful consensus on any debated issue. have observed how even if we managed consensus it would be opinion o' only the most hardcore soopernerds as 'posed to the average game purchaser. have sympathized with developer board frustrations. nevertheless, we do see value in the boards. is too bad josh, as part o' his post mortem, did not recognize how his overreliance on a new toy (game telemetry) perhaps contributed to a few o' the game problems. HA! Good Fun!

  12. I could go back and quote myself from years ago saying that Cyberpunk would release 2020 as homage to the pen and paper game, but I'll instead just leave the announced release date here: 16/4/2020.

  16. Thank you! Hehe. It was indeed a lot of work. But it was also surprisingly fun to do. I'm neither a professional artist nor illustrator so my workflow and methods may have been terrible - but still I would totally do it again.

  17. Any water portrait experts able to make these strong beautiful ladies into Watchers for Deadfire? I think many would find them worthy to be played in on PoE I hope. 19. It looks fairly linear, which is a good thing. I like open world games as much as the next guy, but Lord knows we have no shortage of those. Sometimes, a deliberately paced, well controlled, mostly linear experience is just what the doctor ordered. If I were the cynical sort, I would say "How will EA **** this up?". And I am, so I'm saying it.

  21. I just noticed I spent the better part of two hours typing up posts. I seriously need to re-evaluate my priorities here. I think I'm out for now. Especially since this is the third time since TLJ came out that we're having the exact same debate, and I'm pretty sure it will have the exact same outcome as the last two times. Seems pretty close doing the same thing over and over again while expecting different results. Erm...

  22. ^ I feel like that's a particularly bad example 'cause you have two warring tribes in that forum, Divinity Original Sin fans and Baldur's Gate fans.

  25. You know, I had just never considered that Brilliant would bring back spell slots. Oh my goodness. Now Xoti and I can keep me permenantly in Ascendant! Ahahaha! I Brilliant her, she salvations of time everyone every so often...! (I did do a retrain for her, since I did NOT have Barring Death's Door - I also took the opportunity to swap in Flurry for Lightning Blows and get Blade Turn and Uncanny Luck instead of Torment's Reach and also grabbed spell shaping (extra SoT radius!), which I don't think I'd ever really gotten any milage out of.) I also made the mistake of blundering into Belranga, having taken out my Chanter Brigade to try and earn some XP. Yeah, that went utterly terribly...! (Though, I can see, the Vaelendir/Xoti Infinity Brilliant/SoT Ascendant combo might be the way to do that fight - just keep everything occupied and then settle in to make me and Xoti keep everyone Brillianted and alive....) I am delving now into Forgotten Sanctum, ta Wormerine, which conveniantly should help train Fassina a good bit!

  26. Amazing dialogue in that trailer. $80 CAD for it, oof. I do like the GOG page stating that all your money goes to the CD Projekt Group

  27. on the ale front, have mostly abandoned stouts and gone to gose, become best friends with berliner weisse (raspberry coffee ale, must try to believe) spirit wise, still being best with bourbons, but enjoying a neat young irish whiskey by the name of Teeling that spent six months in a rum barrel

  28. Even though I didn't enjoy D:OS 2 as much as the first one, I trust Larian enough with this. This is a different game (even if it turns out different from BG too) and I expect different writing.

  30. Thanks Phenomenum. @Boeroer: Brings items pre-patch 1.1. Some items are quite good (Swift Hunter's Garb for Xoti), and I find it annoying that one always has to use the usual-suspect-equipment.

  32. Greenmangaming is doing an E3 sale. 25% off with the voucher code E3. I am mentioning this because it works on pre-orders. I just checked and it works on Bloodlines 2 and Age of Wonders Planetfall. The later interests me more, as Bloodlines 2 is a long way off - too far off for me. But it is the biggest discount on those pre-orders so far. (The discount doesn't stack and it doesn't work for Borderlands 3) Also. GOG has a Spellforce 3 + Spellforce 3: Soul Harvest deal. (well, they are giving Spellforce 3 at 60% right now, and owners of the original get the expansion 40% off) I spend 75 hours on Spellforce 3, so not sure if any criticism I have for the game should be seen as a non-recommendation I am having some difficulty with the stand alone expansion, as they changed UI, hotkeys and everything a lot from the main game, and I am too used to it now.

  34. I think it's wonderful that BG3 is set in King's Landing. Can even hear Drogon's rattling breath in the background. And to see Ned Stark again. The transformation into Bhaalspawn mindflayer wasn't quite GoT CGI-level though.. More like 1992 Braindead. I'm excited. J.

  35. I have a lot of dislike in DivOS2's combat- though I did like 1's a fair bit. And yeah, the encounter design itself was generally good and occasionally excellent, when it didn't also rely on cheap gotcha triggers like starting enemies with excess AP. I ended up enjoying DivOS2 combat mostly by treating it like a puzzle game instead of actual RPG combat. Find the solution, and it's trivial; up until that point it's impossible. Very glad they can't use the same system for BG3, the dual armour and initiative systems were plain bad ideas fixing something that could have been worked around successfully, and worse than the initial problem. Then again, one of the most common 'solutions' to combat in DOS2 was spamming summons, a solution that has a very strong pedigree in the Baldur's Gate games as well.

  36. Some random thoughts on the trailer: Body horror-themed main story with a full ceromorphosis sequence and hive mind menaces and Lovecraftian interdimensional threats? Sign me up, that does seem very interesting, if not necessarily Baldur's Gate-esque. I wonder how much this new invasion will lean on the illithid content in Baldur's Gate II and so on. Will we see a connection to the Hidden? That sort of thing. On the topic of classic "chosen one" narratives and so on that these games tend to love (the Bhaalspawn being one of them far as I see it), I wonder if we'll see the protagonist in this story assume a sort of Adversary role and the likes. I would expect to see as much from an NPC at least. The game's set a hundred years after the events of Baldur's Gate II which then more than likely means NO MINSC AND BOO. A travesty, this is! Minsc will live, these temporal bonds will not hold his wrath! Boo is outraged! See his fury! It's small, so look close. Trust me, it's there. We will slay those that need slaying! Butts will be liberally kicked in good measure! And if they are indeed dead, then we won't cry for the dead! We won't! Well, maybe a little... but we will staunch the tears with righteous fury!

  39. I absolutely loved it. For me it was one of the things that 100% assured me that I am definitely going to buy and very likely love the **** out of this game. For me, one of the key elements of freedom in an RPG is something as silly as being able to murder everyone if that's what you desire. I remember being quite excited about The Witcher 3 before it was released. I was at EGX in 2014 where CD Projekt Red were showcasing and taking questions. One of my questions were if you would be able to attack anyone, including random civilians. As soon as they told me no, that's where my hype and interest died. I realize I am very much in the minority here, but to me it is one of those extreme elements of freedom in RPGs, and there are so extremely few games that allow this. Seeing this in TOW filled me with pure disbelief... In the best way possible! The janky presentation just makes it all the more hilarious, honestly. I really don't care too much about the visual presentation. It's the story, mechanics, and level of freedom that makes or breaks it for me. I absolutely loved the presentation.
