The only game that will never "need" a remaster is Majesty, because it is already perfect.4 points

A commenter in that YouTube video showing the transformations had an interesting question: "One thing I never got. Why does she put on nail polish if the gloves will just cover it?"3 points

Alchemy 17 LAX03_02_si_fungus_table Through a cautious application of alchemical procedures, you purge the toxins from the beaker, replacing it with a potent admixture of growth enhancers. Arcana 20 LAX03_03_cv_enchanted_armor [Break the enchantment.] Athletics 22 LAX03_02_si_false_wall You throw the whole of your weight and strength against the wall and it collapses under you in a rush of dust and rubble. Bluff 20 28_cv_Kinnuq "I came to pledge my loyalty to Nemnok." Diplomacy 23 LAX03_03_cv_spore_hive_mind "This is wrong. You're clearly more than some parasite." Explosives 20 LAX03_02_si_false_wall You take cover as the expertly-placed implosion charge detonates. With a keening shriek, it tears down the wall, consigning the rubble to the void and leaving the path open to you. History 18 LAX03_02_cv_vithrack_leader "To be binding, this contract should've been ratified by the Huana monarch or their advisor. It was not." Insight 20 lax03_03_cv_book_pedestal_archive_01 Gears click and whir beneath the device's skin. After a few moments listening, a faint tap tap sounds on the inside. Tap, tap. Tap, tap, tap. It stops. Intimidate 22 LAX01_00_cv_whehami "You've seen me fight! I'm the Champion of the Hunt!" Mechanics 26 LAX03_03_si_archives_vault_door After an hour of sweaty, difficult work, a peal of clanging contraptions announces... something. Metaphysics 20 LAX03_04_cv_starmetal You open a metaphysical bridge between your soul and the entities inhabiting the mineral. Religion 16 LAX02_01_cv_hafjorn_confront "Rymrgand did not intend for his child to live forever." Sleight Of Hand 18 LAX03_04_cv_fungus [Harvest the pustules.] Stealth 18 LAX01_00_SI_Old_Bones As you make your way silently through the undergrowth, you overhear a group of kith nearby. You see them moving quietly among the trees, draped in hides and armed for the hunt. Streetwise 20 re_si_supply_wagon_trap "How about I pay you a toll, and we all walk away. This road need not be anyone else's grave." Survival 19 26_si_witch_guardians You trudge onward. Deep pits of water and sucking mud cover the ground everywhere you look, but you manage to avoid them through caution and attentive footing.2 points

One could speculate that Cyberpunk scared the bits, bytes and pixels out of other large publishers and they now try to prevent the same thing happening to them.2 points

I enjoyed that joystick, but I also bought the throttle aswell, if anyone else would buy it I also recommend going to the hardware store and buying some silicone grease. The throttle is really sticky and from what me and a friend found out, they don't grease the runners properly, so you're going to have to do that yourself.2 points

As an owner of a Thrustmaster T16000M I can wholeheartedly recommend it. It's a great flightstick with tons of axes and buttons. I used and loved it in X4 (once the 4.0 update and new expansion come out I need to revisit the game).2 points

My girlfriend is running a low fever and we had to cancel date-night in favor of doing something virtually so we ended up getting dinner from the same restaurant and watching something over Discord together, and that actually went fairly well. It's probably stress and not COVID but, still, we'll both feel better once the test comes back and that's confirmed.2 points

I wonder what "popular opinion" they are tracking, because it isn't Hong Kong, Tibet, or the Uyghurs.2 points

Yup, it's a bug. Will be corrected for next version. Here is the hotfix (you may have to enter a true combat to clear preexisting status) cl.ranger.heart_seeker.gamedatabundle2 points

something I realized recently in case it is not already common knowledge: I think that to avoid the first risky fight in the Oracle of Wael small room, you should not steal things in the rooms with big Wael Eyes looking at you and not use the mages quest scrolls on the machine in the Memory Hoarder room until you have already talked with the oracle2 points

Dear Obsidian, Waiting for NWN 3 for such a long time, please make it happen!!!! NWN 1 and 2 where so enjoyable, great story's and characters. Or a good remaster will do for the time being In both cases I would like it to be real time with pause and not a turn based combat system. Really had a amazing time playing Pillars 1 and 2, Tyranny and many more of your games. Hope the time comes for a new Forgotten Realms adventure soon.1 point

Yup, I'm aware of it. I tried 2 quick fixes yesterday and today but still does not work. Seems tricky. I won't correct it in next version (which main aim was to quickly bridge the gap with CP 2.0, probably released this weekend). I recommend not using this cheesy combo for now. But hey, we are all responsible adults1 point

I haven't finished watching it yet, but this new episode is gonna be good. Makoto cooking for the blonde guy Usagi likes. Depending on how many girls show up there things will get wild.1 point

Maybe if you never ever help them and come back in late game you get this interaction - which would explain why no one usually gets this variant? Or it could be cut content? Funny how random things still get uncovered in the game at this point . On a similar but unrelated note, I've noticed that the Amira's Blessing buff that you can get during the Arsonist event in Neketaka is not really referenced in builds/posts playing No-Rest, but it's a sweet +2 DEX that you can receive only if you get in the house, investigate but don't pursue the arsonists. I guess most players (like me most of the time) get in and rush to get the arsonists and the flame blights in the back. Maybe it's common knowledge, but I only discovered that it's more beneficial to not pursue them and debrief with the neighbors instead randomly.1 point

Yep. She was...different, but there have already been a few about as offensive as her previously, so I guess it barely registered for me. Episode 31 of S:1 point

Even if it is On Kill, it would make more sense to be centered on the target, especially for Fury.1 point

Ok wtf, the Streetwise 20 check is in the scripted interaction with the traveling Dawnstars near Port Maje. Apparently there's variant of the encounter baked into the same convo file, where you find an abandoned wagon and some bandits instead... has anyone ever gotten this encounter?1 point

Thanks for all the comments people. Apparently, some of my scores haven't been as accurate as they could've been, but then again, it might have come down to personal taste or just not being as thorough in testing. Well, it seems I slept on Wicked Briars. I never really used the skill much, and my score kinda reflected that, but upon testing it a bit further, I agree that it's definitely a really good spell, and I'll update the post to reflect that. Still probably wouldn't want to put it down in every fight but definitely not deserving of a 1/5. And you're right, looking over the list, I was a bit unfair to Venombloom. Range can be overcome, and the damage on it is definitely great. Ooh, that's a good shout, I'll have to make sure to put it as an option. Wouldn't Berserker Frenzy also make Storms and Insect spells also hit allies though? I know that it can be overcome, but it does sort of lock you either into Modwyr or eating a lot of luminous lobsters. And I know shifting isn't a big deal for some people, but I did want to use all bonuses of the fury, and the storm cloud form is a big part of it. I completely missed that, thank you! I'll have to update the spell listing, you do get a few free points anyway. I was not aware of the intrinsic PEN bonus, my bad. Unfortunately, I won't really be focusing on the Brilliant spam casting, as I did say in the post that I really dislike that interaction and don't use it. It's incredibly boring for me. I admit to not using Call of the Primordials enough before giving it a rather poor score, but since I don't make use of Brilliant in my runs, I only get one cast and usually found Rusted Armor or Weather the Storm more useful. Ooooh, great shout on the blunderbusses, knew that but completely forgot about it while writing. And yeah, I dislike one tricking the game. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't food and drugs counted as active bonuses and therefore don't stack with other active abilities? So coral snuff and rum won't stack with swift strikes, nor will stat boosters stack with inspirations? Overall, think I have a lot of work still left to do. Will try to update ASAP with the revised scores and additional suggestions. Thanks for all the feedback!1 point

Watched two more episodes of Steven Universe. More food. Food. I should not watch that at night. Where would I even get a cheeseburger now? I already had Sailor Moon themed dreams recently, but they were actually nice. I do have recurring nightmares, but they usually revolve around more mundane things, like showing up to exams unprepared (which I always did, so how's that a nightmare and leaves me feel uneasy?) or living the life of a complete stranger. Those tend to be the most disturbing dreams I have, because I actually wake up thinking I am someone else. Eh, and making SuperS look good would really take some doing, but Crystal is so far trying really hard.1 point

Yep, it isn't polling in the western sense. The policies they change and pay attention to are things like the price of pork or rice and whether people think they're too expensive, and any other simmering economic tensions since it's far more likely that they'll get significant regime threatening dissent due to economic reasons. Taiwan/ HK/ Xinjiang are more prestige problems after the century of shame, not existential threats. Their only existential threat is when the majority Han starts protesting because they're hungry or not getting the life improvements they expected. Pretty similar for Russia too, Putin will change policies to please his voting base, those who fundamentally want a different approach can't be appeased but are also a small minority overall, so can be simply suppressed instead.1 point

I actually found a leaked footage of Avowed. It seems to be set further into the future in some kind of dystopian setting. VO needs a bit of work though.1 point

I suspect when announced Avowed might have been in very early stages - I think the idea was to communicate what Microsoft owned studios are up to: very much like they like to do with consoles. But yeah, no fake gameplay demo showing like a game will hopefully look and play in 3 years time. As disappointing it is to not know more, I will take waiting over unreliable promises.1 point

For my take, the reason why Deadfire sold poorly is due its lack of marketing. DOS II generated its crowdfunding from kickstarter, the most prominent crowdfunding platform in the world. This allowed the game to generate a wider exposure to the gaming community. On top of that, the turn-based system in the game appealed to a wider array of gamers. Kingmaker was able to attain success due to the fact that the Pathfinder franchise was already famous, and this game provided a long return to the beloved franchise. Sadly, Deadfire hosted it's crowdfunding in fig.co, a platform that is unknown to a majority of gamers. The Pillars franchise is also fairly new, so it doesn't hold the same pedigree as Pathfinder, and the RTWP system is off-putting to a lot of people. However, with Microsoft's endless pockets of money and Elder Scrolls' hiatus, I truly believe Avowed can achieve the success it deserves. It'll probably even encourage some gamers to try out Pillars I and II similar to how the Witcher Netflix adaptation caused the Witcher 3 to increase in sales. That might just encourage Obsidian to make a Pillars III.1 point
