I have used strand of favor like item swapping to prolong several out of combat items buffs (e.g. tenacious) and it has been accepted in my psion/troubadour ultimate challenge run, so unless using it to prolong single class assassin vanishing strikes is considered differently it should be allowed3 points

Frankly, I personally dislike Fighter/Paladin combinations. Sure, they can tank for days, but... well, being an incarnation of a wall, an immovable object is just not exciting for me. Damage output will be pathetic compared to what one of those classes could bring to the table, when multiclassed with a rogue or a monk - while still being more then durable enough to survive anything the game throws at you. Or the utility and versatility of a chanter multiclass. Or a Battlemage. Heck, even a Brute (Fighter/Barbarian) is more interesting and synergistic.3 points

Spirit Lance' initial hit does pierce damage, the AoE does crush damage. I assume "DK" means Death Knight. Imo such a Death Knight - or in case of the Eora universa called Death Guard - has to have some "death" magic as his disposal. Or stuff that could be interpreted as such. Four classes come to mind and I will list them here with the bilites I find most fitting (I'll only go up tp Power Level 7 because I assume multiclass is more interesting than single class) : Chanter: Invocations: If their Bones --> Ancient Brittle Bones But Reny Daret's Ghost --> His Hunt for Revenge, Eternal White Worms --> Their Putrid Stench Wafts Across Reny Daret's Ghost Spake --> Ben Fidel's Neck Was Exposed Their Companion Braved the Horde Alone Called to His Bidding, the Ancient Instruments of Death Boil Their Flesh From Skin to Bone Phrases: Come, Come Soft Winds of Death The Long Night's Drink Aefyllath Ues Mith Fyr Old Siec Would Not Rest 'til His Hunger Was Sated Many Lives Pass By Druid: Touch of Rot Taste of the Hunt Autum's Decay Firebrand Spreading Plague Nature's Terror Infestation of Maggots Rot Skulls Rusted Armor Priest of Berath: Touch of Rot Barbs of Condemnation Spiritual Great Sword Divine Mark Spreading Plague Desponent Blows Divine Terror Barring Beath's Door Rot Skulls Rusted Armor Wizard: Chillfog Ghost Blades Thrust of Tattered Veils Fetit Caress Corrosive Siphon Necrotic Lance Repulsive Visage Draining Touch Enervating Terror Bitter Mooring Death Ray (unique grimoire) Shadowflame (unique grimoire) Spirit Lance Death Ring Killing Bolt Draconic Fury (unique grimoire) Others may have different preferences. In PoE 1 they throw a lot of Fireballs around... You can then combine that with any martial (sub)class that makes sense thematically - like Helwalker, Streetfighter, Bleak Walker, Steel Garrote, Furyshaper, Berserker, Devoted and so on. Theoretically any class can become a death guard. Your will just has to be strng enough so your soul refuses to pass through the wheel and clings to your body after dying - in game we've seen paladins (Lucia Rivan - Darcozzi, Raedric VII - unknown), priests (Yseyr the Berathian) and Fanatic (Babrarian/Paladin - Death Guard Fanatic in the Forgotten Catacombs). So I guess Paladin is a good choice thematically. Mechanically I think Arcane Knight (Paladin/Wizard) is a good combo. I really like Steel Garrote + Bloodmage. Paladin/Chanter is also great. Anything that casts + Helwalker is very good, too. Barbarian + caster is also neat. Streetfighter + Priest of Berath is a powerful combo due to Barring Death's Door + Salvation of Time as well. Lots of options. I personally would settle for a certain "look and feel" I want to achieve and then chose the classes and abilites accordingly. Some items that might have the right "vibes": Blackened Plate + helmet Casita Samelia's Legacy Rekvu's Fractured Casque Horns of the Aurochs St. Drogga's Skull Sanguine Great Sword Engoliero do Espirs Voidwheel Grave Calling Skullcrusher Magistrate's Cudgel Ragged Cloak Marux Amanth Saru-Sichr Watcher's Blade Thaos' Headdress Whitewitch Mask2 points

I accidentally watched Attack on Titan s1 - s3 again. Honestly, even on the 2nd run it's as good as the first time. I'm still cringing on some of the dialog, but oh well. Can't have it all, I guess. The german they sing in the intro tracks is funny. It's not wrong, but it's also not how german people speak. For example this song starts with "Seid ihr das essen, nein wir sind die Jäger!" (written wrong in the video subtitle btw) ... so anyways. This line is technically correct, but it's phrased wrong. It should rather be "Seid ihr die Beute, nein wir sind die Jäger!" This translates to "Are you the prey, no we are the hunters!" instead of "Are you the food, no we are the hunters!" There's also some scenes in the actual episodes with very questionable translations. Now I'm just not sure if it's simply a bad translation, or if japanese people are just speaking like that and it got translated literally. Anyways ... just saying, because it was bugging me a lot on the 2nd run. : >2 points

Agree with @Haplok. I'd say personally Bloodmage/Devoted with the 2H Axe Amra is your best bet for balance between theme and OP-ness. Couple highlights: Early on you should use your fists (monastic unarmed training) which also benefit from Devoted. Then Amra is fantastic, you will spam Clear Out as primary attack. You should also use Concelhaut Draining Touch for flavor. Even better, apparently if you don't learn it, cast it from a grimoire then switch to another grimoire, it will go on for the whole duration of combat. That plus the occasional Death Ring, Minoletta's Precisely Piercing Burst and other similar spells = great offense. Defensively you will use all the buffs of the wizard, your passive healing. Unbending Trunk + Wall of Draining at high level = near God Mode. Why not throw in Refreshing Defenses as well. You will use Ryngrim's Repulsive Visage and Enervating Terror among other key Wizard debuffs, which will fit very well thematically and will shut down enemies that are not immune to RES afflictions. You may equip Blackened Plate + Helm for fitting style (ok with Armored Grace and high DEX and stacking AR) or Devil of Caroc + Helm of Falcon for optimal gear + more shiny style . You are half Bloodmage so you can still do whatever you want in the game if needed. Grimoire wise I'm not too sure, you have a lot of great options: Ninagauth Teachings and Martial Masteries might be the best ones but not sure with this specific build. EDIT: my advice is only sound for RtwP, I haven't played Turn-based.2 points

Nothing to do with this season, but I'm just going to post this clip of Ichiro throwing a strike from the outfield to throw out a runner trying to go 1st to 3rd That's not really a base running error, either. 90% of the time you make it to 3rd easily, and this was barely a week into Ichiro's MLB career. Players hadn't yet learned the cardinal rule "never run on Ichiro". My man had a freakin' cannon for an arm.2 points

^^^This is what americans actually believe. (England always has and always will subsidise the other parts of the union. It's like Alabama or Mississippi 'threatening' California in the US. The only thing Scotland has going for it is the nearly exhausted North Sea oil, and Wales doesn't even have that. Their only potential future is the same as Ireland's- tax haven revenue stolen off the rest of the world. Wales also voted for Brexit, same as England, though for some reason only Scotland's and NI's votes seem to ever get mentioned... Should probably also point out to preempt any accusations of anglophilia that I earned the much valued 'lippy colonial' achievement from Monte Carlo after slagging off Britain on these very forums)1 point

Our state (WA) has been using all mail-in ballots since 2011 and it works great. You don't have to drive to an election booth and decide who to pick; it can be done at your leisure at home with full access to the internet. I'd like to see more states adopt this system so we can get rid of all this legalized voter suppression nonsense.1 point

Talk to the NPCs. They have their own lives that go on as you progress the game. It has nothing to do with you, it's something very easy to miss, and yet the creators still wrote thousands of lines that 90%+ of players never see. Also, the world building is pretty great but they don't just dump all of it on you at once. You have to play father into the series.1 point

Put down BG3 because the level cap is 4, didn't see the point in trying to slog my way through higher level encounters stuck at level 4, now I know why so many people are commenting on having to cheese your way through battles, I almost feel like Larian did the level cap so low compared to enemy encounters on purpose to see how people break the combat ... in general I think the game is gonna be great fun!! even if they don't fix everything I wish they would. Back to my POE1 and 2 play through as a Paladin, finally almost finished with POE1 and excited to play POE2 again after letting it sit for awhile to see how I really feel about it1 point

i might be late to the party here, but have you considered a fighter (or devoted)/priest of berath? I ran this specific build and it was quite fun. if you RP the berath part right, you'll have a spiritual weapon that is a legendary greatsword with a +31% corrode lash, which is immensely hard to beat with non-spiritual weapons (because lashes are multiplicative). Maybe voidwheel has the best chance of being competitive, because it too come with a lash and can proc a pretty powerful effect. You also get spells that you can use to be more "DK"-like (i'm unfamiliar with the wow version having stopped at burning crusade, but thinking of the WC3 version). The fighter part helps with action economy (mob stance, armored grace) and spell casting (tactical barrage). You can summon a helper friend at high levels and spread disease (spreading plague) and you have a backup disease weapon if you can't reach the enemy (a tight doorway or something) via rot skulls. in endgame i equipped blackened plate with the AR and health sapping auras, had both a pet that reduced armor penalty, and with armored grace, making me both very tanky and also relatively speedy.1 point

Recently my friend and I have been playing a lot of Grounded and we enjoy the game very much. We like talking about future updates that might potentially come out and cool things that the developers could add to the game that would be very fun and interesting to play around with. We understand that there is presumably a clear content path that the developers are working hard at, but this idea was so good that I couldn't help but pitch it. The Sandpit Update The sandpit would be exactly what it sounds like; a child's sandbox with various toys and treasures within. This area would be the equivalent of a desert biome and add great tone and variety to the backyard. It could be located near the picnic table or beside the garage and the unique desert-type biome would have its own original features, resources, and lab much like the hedge and the koi pond Features may include; - Sand (resource, harvestable by shovel - glass potential?) - A Sand castle filled with bugs (location - lab??) - Sand Castle Tools (landmarks) - Beetle (Scarab type neutral bug - maybe rideable?) - Thirst depletes faster in the sandpit (Survivability feature) - Desert Temple BURG.L Chip (Sandpit Lab) The list goes on and on, this idea was too good to keep to myself! please like this post and reply and give it some love so that the developers see it! I am confident that they will take this idea and skyrocket it and create epic content ! Attached below is my attempt at some concept art.1 point

Finished! 182h 04m clocked I can confidently say, that it is the most joyless, tedious and frustrating cRPG campaign I have even played. It probably should have been closer to 200h, but I cheated like crazy for the finale. Once I realized Nyrissa's ?castle? is artificially padded to 6 maps ( even NWN1 wasn't that bad) I just launched bag of cheates and cheated my way to the end. Frankly, even that way it was tedious and boring, but at least it took me 5 hours to reach the end credits. Done. Disk space cleared for something else.1 point

Agree. I like to have my weapon in my hand all the time. May be a cool spell, but nothing is better than a big ****ing axe1 point

Yeah, both Clear Out and Citzal's Lance are cool... but personally I wouldn't want to rely on them TOO much. Unless I'm mistaken, Clear Out goes against Fortitude and that is often a very high enemy defense. Lance is Piercing, which can also be a disadvantage sometimes. Plus summoning it takes action time. Its cool to use sometimes... but personally I wouldn't Devote my whole build to such a temporary summoned weapon. Frankly, I liked the Amra idea more1 point

I may sounded a bit confused, but I never planned to use fighter/paladin. My idea is one of the melee class and one caster, thanks for your answer I started a turn based game, and left in the first cave. It’s so much boring you spend 10 minutes in a fight agains simple mobs. I will take a look on this build you told me, thank you1 point

the flood o' voter suppression efforts in multiple states has been predictable. unfortunate, what needs to happen to combat such limits on the franchise is old fashioned grassroot efforts to maximize voter turnout particular in battleground states. need increase voter turnout in spite o' the new laws. 2022 and 2024 will not be like 2020. republican election officials will not be on tv defending election integrity and the courts will defer to all but the most egregious new obstacles created by state legislatures. am concerned 2020 trump campaign defeats will have made far too many people complacent. republicans have finally recognized the impact o' automatic voter registration laws and they know expansions o' mail-in voting (pandemic related or otherwise) hurt their chances at retaining power. the gop is going old skool with overt efforts at voter suppression via state legislatures and they have a major news network helping them with their gaslighting efforts. democrats need to get serious if they do not wanna lose ground. SCOTUS will not protect them. anybody who thinks Justice Roberts is gonna side with Kagan or Sotomayor when it comes to state capacity to limit voting rights has not been paying attention to the relevant cases. all o' the so-called conservatives on the Court is gonna be antagonistic to just about any effort to place limits on state legislatures insofar as voting laws is concerned. need to accept such a reality and plan for how to deal with those laws. npr and psaki are correct 'bout the georgia law, but being right about fox news and gop lies don't change or invalidate the georgia law. HA! Good Fun!1 point

That makes sense. Yeah I've been using the weaken/interrupt chants a lot. I also have a song setup to blitz through all the resistance chants. That one is nice on fights where afflictions are irritating as I can quickly clear out (or at least reduce) all negative effects. I haven't quite gotten to the level to do Many Lives yet but I'm looking forward to trying it out. I have been using summons more than I thought I might. The Ogre summon is just so good sometimes. However my go-to is still killers froze stiff/soul shock. If the enemy is resistant to dex afflictions I'll use summons or charms at that point. Still, those Ogres hit so damned hard on crush vuln enemies that they're nice sometimes. It's kinda nutty how versatile this class combo is. I feel like I have tools for most any enemy type.1 point

1. How does Kaolinite know SAILOR Neptune and SAILOR Uranus are "cousins"? Wouldn't that require knowing their secret identities? 2. Why does Haruka say "really?" like that? She sounds almost hopeful that Michiru will get killed. YouTube comments for more weird or niche videos like the Sailor Moon English dub can be great, but they're pretty universally terrible on anything more normal - they attract all the worst kinds of mouth-breathers...and literal children. Meanwhile, I see that Cartoon Network made the wise decision of disabling comments entirely - given that the show is also nominally for kids and how retarded a good portion of the adult audience is, that's probably for the best.1 point

I know it was used to reference poor whites in the south ("corn-crackers"). It's this use that Gary Cooper's character refers to Mari Aldon' character as a cracker in the 'Eastern' film DISTANT DRUMS (which, for film trivia buffs is also the source of the 'Wilhelm Scream') It was also applied to anyone who used a whip in their job, which is how it became associated with slave overseers. The use for Atlanta's minor league team is unclear, but they were the Atlanta Firecrackers in 1892, 3 years before they became the Atlanta Crackers. So it's possible it's a derivation of that, or it's a multilevel meaning. Also meant Atlanta had a team called the Atlanta Black Crackers...1 point

I'm now eligible for the vaccine but no place in 25 miles has had any openings. I want to request that they put each one in a different syringe then tape them all together and then stab me with all of them at once. Seems like a reasonable request. It sounds like the Atlanta Braves are also re-branding. They want to remove the racist imagery so now they will just be called Braves. Oh c'mon. It was funny when it was the Washington Bullets and it's funny now. In all seriousness it sounds like that is in the works. If they choose any other name other than Hammers they are doing it wrong. A tip of the cap to Hank Aaron. Cleveland has had a ton of names before Indians. They could go with any of those.1 point

Kind of Ot, but keep in mind you don't need to dispel her Safeguard at all. Bleed Dots like Bleeding cut or Rogues Deep Wounds will completely destroy any enemies despite it being based on your intitial hit. Especially Bleeding cut with a 60 base duration where every hit stacks just about melts anything in the game. And ofc Nery specifically is also real weak vs fire, a wizard who waits until Kalakoth's minor blights change to fire and then extends it with wall of draining or a priest casting SOT (blights will stay in the damage type and not change if they get extended) will do serious damage too.1 point

to add on to what others said, i've used streetfighter builds that generally are constantly distracted or blinded and so have a perception around what you have (or worse), but the massive speed boost more than makes up for it. back a while ago i ran some simulations and found that dexterity adds about 3% net damage per point, and perception 2% per point (similar with might), so in the long run, even with low accuracy, the trade-off works in dexterity's favor. (and later on, exceptional, superb, etc. enchantments give you higher chance to hit and most enemies' defenses dont' have similar scaling bonuses) (in case it isn't clear, even though might adds +3% to damage, it amounts to only around 2% net damage due to the fact that the damage bonus is additive and the non-linearity of graze and underpenetration damage penalties. dexterity benefits in that there are very few standard ways to interact with action speed, so the +3% action speed is very nearly 1:1 a 3% net damage increase) edit: these are just averages. they do not apply to specific scenarios. these days i prize accuracy hugely on casters and debuffers, because i always fight megabosses, and all the averages in the world don't work if i can't land a spell or debuff consistently in the hardest fights that i absolutely need to land them in. something to consider for solo potd (since unlike with a party you can't swap characters in an out in case you need some extra stats somewhere). but standard critical path and DLCs should probably be fine.1 point
