  1. nothing supernatural. unlike visual or language arts, music translates to a much better degree regardless o' cultural hardwiring. perhaps more with music than poetry or sculpture or whatnot, the artist emotions is communicated with heightened verisimilitude. whether or not listener is religious is irrelevant 'cause the music conveys the artist's feelings at a fundamental level which ignores a whole lotta cognitive baggage. now for something a bit different... we don't watch fallon, but am a fan o' the roots. questlove playing scissors and flatware were worth the view... and 'course the connect 4 guy were hypnotic. HA! Good Fun!

  5. folks voting 3p in battleground states last cycle is exact why we got trump as President today. democrat? republican? party is irrelevant when cataloging trump fails as he is mendacious narcissist the likes o' which we ain't never seen in the oval office sitting behind the resolute desk. as usual gd sees some validation in trump which is unwarranted. fact we never had a President do as trump (at least with this level o' profound disturbing excess and consistency) should be an argument in favor o' notion trump is an exception rather than some kinda inevitable culmination. nevertheless, for gd, trump is the political kwisatz haderach. and we would say the current snaffu regarding covid-19 shows how is clearly a few jobs which is too much for individual states to handle, and is unnecessarily inefficient even if were possible for states to do lonesome. each state have their own space program? each state have their own vaccine development mechanism? ridiculous. gd sees opposite o' what would appear to be the more obvious conclusions, but such is part o' his charm as the board's resident crazy hermit. HA! Good Fun!

  10. I'm playing POTD on ps4 and when I logged in today to play the enemy spawn numbers were dramatically lower. I'm playing level scaling up only on all. I don't know how to verify what level enemies I'm fighting but it's just a slaughter. No challenge at all, unfortunately. Usually there are quite a few enemies and the challenge is significant. Now, one swing, two tops from any of my characters and enemies just explode. I went to the Crookspur island, I'm level 13, not sure if that's just an extremely easy location or what the issue is however, I'm hoping if it's a bug someone can point me towards a fix. All of my saves are from days ago. Thanks in advance for any replies.

  12. There's a recent Nature article on a similar method. (Which may well be based on the research in/ approach from the webmd link, though I skimmed the references and didn't see a direct link immediately I didn't read through carefully)

  13. Hmm ... this photo mode is very close/almost the same as Death Stranding's (and another one or two games I've seen I think). Altho DS has some more options. Wonder what base software package it's from. Not that it matters since I don't make games. Becoming the average "type/style" default for photo mode I guess.

  15. I'd disagree with it for a completely different reason- it absolves the Democrat Party for selecting a rubbish candidate, and Hillary for losing to Trump. Fundamentally, in a democratic system you're not obligated to vote for rubbish just because garbage is worse; and doing so is precisely how you make sure that you will always be presented with two bad choices. That approach also destroys confidence in your political system far more effectively than anything else, nothing breeds indifference like being told you have to vote for two choices neither of which you want. Hillary lost to Trump. She lost because she didn't get enough votes where it counted. If she'd have run a competent campaign and been a better and more appealing candidate she'd have won. Those who voted for someone they actually wanted over someone they didn't should take no blame; those giving it to them don't actually believe in a free vote, they believe in a controlled one.

  16. Hey there. I don't think it's available to add through normal console hence my reference to unity console. My suggestion doesn't require changing race. But if you don't use unity console then Boeoers way does the trick easier. Happy it worked out for you.

  17. 1) They would invest in a solid, top down 3D engine. For all the things I don't like about D:OS2, I am amazed by engine it is powered by - As big of a hub as you want, with moving inside and outside without any issues, multiplayer maps etc. I wouldn't necessarly want the structure of D:OS, but lack of gameplay interuptions. Yup, yup, yup. 2) I would like to have Josh back at the helm, and use Microsoft money and hopefully lack of interference, to appeal neither to publishers nor fans. Make best Pillars game he can make. Is it even possible? Pillars as a world and game was created to appeal to IE game fans afterall. But I like to think there is a game he wants to make and we want to play. Or maybe I would hate it... who knows.

  19. is predictable trump will now spin similar stories as fake news by media. the real problem is democrats and liberal media are complete misrepresenting trump and in a time o' crisis they focus on a movie reference rather than the important issues. freaking inside-out and bassackwards and yet +30% of the US population will reflexive agree. "every country has the government it deserves." HA! Good Fun!

  22. I tried to execute the command to advance the quest and tried to autocomplete with the tab key. That way you avoid typos. But I get an "ArgumentOutOfRange" exception. I don't know the ID of that special "Nature's Mark" passive (or is it a boon?). Else I could tell you how to add it with the normal console commands. I searched for it with "FindGameData" but couldn't find anything that fits (nothing that's named Nature's Mark - besides the obvious spells). However, you can shortly just change your race to nature godlike by using SetPlayerRace Godlike NatureGodlike That will chance your race to Nature Godlike. You won't see a difference at first, your character model will not change. But you will lose your headgear slot. If something's in it it will be put into the stash, but in that case your character's head will be invisible (because the game wants to reload a nature godlike head without headgear - one that fits your non-nature-godlike body model - which of course doesn't exist). Better to take off the headgear first, then change the race - which should unlock the dialogue option. When the dialogue is finished just use the same command to set your race back to what it was. Human would be something like SetPlayerRace Human SavannahHuman . You can use the tab key to autocomplete commands and parameters. So if you don't know the exact names you just guess it starts with "H" and then hit tab. You can then cycle through all options that start with "H" with the tab key. Hope it works.

  26. typically no easy solution - lots of micromanagement. i run in recklessly and use party-unfriendly spells (fireball, pillar of holy fire) to help drop down into bloodied to begin with. to stay alive and bloodied - easiest - barring death's door and salvation of time and don't give a damn bout how low my health gets. But outside of cipher/brilliant exploits, this only means about 20-30 seconds of carefree time and it comes pretty late. harder - using things like escape or invisibility to relieve myself of getting too much enemy hate if i start dipping too low. things like nemnok's cloak or that brigandine that gives you +AR as you get lower also help because you might start getting really tanky by the time you are bloodied already (though the trade-off is that wearing that brigandine lowers your dps potential a lot, but i found that on a tankier streetfighter you still get a lot of damage done). regardless of how much hate i get, if I drop into near death i almost always have a withdraw or lay on hands ready as an emergency (i just have to fall back into bloodied afterwards). or, better yet, i have revive the fallen which will just revive me but put me back into sub-bloodied for continuing my rampage. it also helps that over time, i've made sure that my streetfigthers have tons of health - dumping resolve (makes it harder to use sparkcrackers to trigger flanked anyway) in favor of constitution (as well as other dps stats) as well as picking up Tough. It makes it harder to get bloodied, but not that much harder with powerful party-unfriendly spells at hand, but more importantly it gives you lots of buffer room and room for error once you are bloodied. Anyway, micromanagement-intensive but feels really rewarding to pull off. i suppose in an ideal world you have exalted endurance or chanter's ancestor's memory and just remember to switch them off if you get too close to getting above bloodied, but it's one extra bit of micro i don't think it's worth (at least for me) to have to worry about. (the one time i ran a streetfighter with a chanter, i preferred the damage shield chant on a troubadour because the refreshing 10pt shield basically acted like regen, but in a way that didn't undermine my streetfighter and actually helped control how much damage they were taking).

  29. can you see the light? gospel choirs do have a unique capacity to take sombre and mournful songs and make 'em hopeful and even joyous. swing low, sweet chariot (written by a choctaw man btw,) is positively ebullient when sung by etta james and backing choir. amazing grace might be a rare exception as it is one o' the gospel hymns which rare get uplift. yeah, you may find exceptions, but is an inherent reserved quality to amazing grace which affects most performers. @Azdeus is likely apocryphal, but supposed, mozart managed to "steal" the secret o' allegri's miserere mei. written music were a close guarded secret o' the vatican, or so the story goes, until mozart heard once and then put pen to paper. the music were deemed a powerful tool o' conversion and faith by the church. am also a big fan o' mozart's requiem, though a few o' the portions we like bestest might not actually have been written by mozart. go figure. and our favorite movie theme o' all-time is having choral and is evoking mass even though such is secular. am not certain o' our faith, but if God does exist, he speak to us more clear through music. HA! Good Fun!

  32. The starting ship, an Elite Vanguard. Think of it like you would a Z-95 Headhunter, it was once a great ship, but its time has passed: I bought this Callisto Courier. I can't afford a real deal freighter yet, so this will have to do. It's not much to look at, but at least it has a significantly larger cargo hold than the Elite Vanguard: Egosoft continuing their longstanding tradition of horrifically ugly character models:

  33. I always use her default one because it gives her 2 spells per level. Like Boeoer said she cannot use Evocation and Illusion spells so she's going to be gimped by any grimoire that has those. Well unless it gives you a spell you really want. But then you could just select that yourself at level up. Sure you could spend all level up points on extra resilience and get more Will and such, but if you use her in a party there are other ways to protect her and you can get more spells to make her more effective. Also, fun note there's a way for Fassina to cast illusion spells. Somewhat. I always give her The Eye of Wael scepter which can cast random illusion spell affliction on enemy and bonus on yourself. Scrolls don't work, but this thing does.

  37. It's possible that the whole thing could have been stopped if not for the fact that they covered it up. Travel restrictions are essential, there were none when it mattered. They only cared that the virus not spread inside of China. While they did their cover up, lets not forget that they systematically vacuumed the world markets for medical equipment using their agents and China friendly companies, so there was precious little left when everyone needed it, and of course now they have successfully convinced the Chinese people that the present threat is from 'foreigners'. Their 'own' virus no less. Another control mechanism. It's kinda impossible to understate what the CCP perpetrated on the world. They have somehow managed to blindside most people about the truth of it, they are really good at that.

  38. From the Games Not Even Melkathi Would Likely Play files, here's a couple very early X4: Foundations pics: Right now I'm less playing the game and more fine tuning the control setup of my new flightstick. To it's credit, the game has a profile for my exact flightstick (Thrustmaster T.1600M HOTAS), though it's not exactly how I want it set up, but at least it gives me a solid base to start from. As a bonus, here's the flightstick in question:
