I made Placki Ziemniaczane (Polish Potato Pancakes) Not much to it, it's just finely grated potatoes, finely grated onion, and eggs to bind. Salt, pepper, and paprika to season and chives and parsley to garnish. Simple and delicious.3 points

I'd love a good Viking game, but even though the AC series has worked hard to revamp their gameplay with the last two games, I can only seeing the Viking setting held back by the Assassin roots. It seems they've also opted for extreme levels of rp mechanic padding. Already their best addition to the series of ship combat and one of the best pirate games to date, was 1.) held back by being an AC game even if the brand helped it get off the ground at all, and 2.) They are already breaking the ship part out into it's own series. Which proves the issue inherent in the series. Also I couldn't give a damn about the eternal Assassin/Templar b-plot anymore. They should just refit the series to be Vikings Creed, Pirates Creed, etc. Make historical set piece games. But maybe that wouldn't work because the kiddos need their annual holiday comfort food and all that...3 points

It actually looks pretty good, I loved the original games on Mega Drive back when I was a kid, still play them occasionaly with my brother when I see him. I loved the music that much I got them on vinyl! Hoping this new game captures some of that awesome-ness. https://store.steampowered.com/app/985890/Streets_of_Rage_4/2 points

Hallöchen, I never though about this much but today I fought around a bit with Tekehu (Stormspeaker) and Aloth (Wizard, wearing Cap of the Laughingstock) and used Wall of Draining with Aloth while fighting off two Risen Soldiers. It prolonged the chants just fine. So I tested it out more and gave Tekehu a chant that was composed of a lot of different support phrases: they all got applied to Aloth (as expected) and stayed there with his Wall of Draining active. Which is quite hilrarious. I'm now thinking about a Bloodmage/Troubadour who uses Brisk Recication to scat a lot of different support phrases quickly while prolonging their effects with Wall of Draining. Main advantage would be that you wouldn't need to actively cast self buffs but just stack them passively while casting other stuff (like CC or damage). Sounds good or silly?2 points

I’ve just finished the fourth level in Vaporum. The story slowly gave few new hints on who I might be, and the enemies are getting harder and harder. I’ve died a lot of time to them Also, there was one puzzle on which I got stuck little bit, due to me not seeing one pretty tricky hidden button I love the game, just still feeling very rusty playing this kind of genre1 point

Thanks for the quick and detailed reply, Boeroer. I was under the false impression that Kitchen Stove was a mortar too, but checking I see that it is not, thanks!1 point

There are only two mortars: "Hand Mortar" and "Fire in the Hole". Both are Serafen's guns. He comes with Hand Mortar and after finishing his quest he'll get Fire in the Hole. Fortunately Serafen's quest is very easy to complete and also quickly done: Go to Fort Deadlight Open the chest in the room which is right north of the harpsichord, this will give you a hint to go to the Luminous Bathhouse Go to the Luminous Bathhouse and talk to Undyne Go to Sayuka and find Remaro not far from the harbor (northeast up the stair) - he will give you the gun. Cool cool cool cool no doubt no doubt Enchantments: for Hand Mortar I usually pick Blinding Smoke because it triggers Avenging Storm (which I get from Heaven's Cacophony helm). But it does friendly fire so be careful. However: i think it's the better enchantment even though Point Blank does work pretty nicely with Whispers of the Wind and Flagellanth's Path. So if you are not using Avenging Storm it might be a good alternative. For Fire in the Hole it's Chain Shot. It adds a projectile jump which includes the AoE. There is no question that this is better - especially because with WotW and Flagellant's Path you are not actually reloding (only recovery) - so the alternative enchantment doesn't even work well. Also double AoE is better for Stunning Surge because more chance to crit = refund of mortification. Key abilitiies are: Lightning Strikes (Swift Flurry doesn't work) : +15% lash works with ranged weapons Two Weapon Style Duality of Mortal Presence (INT - Turning Wheel doesn't work with ranged weapons) : the AoE of both mortars will grow with INT Enduring Dance (more ACC = more crits and auto-wounds) Thunderous Blows (PEN) Stunning Surge (lots of hit rolls -> high chance of crit => refund. Also AoE stun effect of course) Flagellant's Path (no reload but recovery, fires both mortars with AoEs at target) Razor's Edge (more ACC) Resonant Touch (every AoE hit roll will add a stack of Resonant Touch to enemies) Whispers of the Wind (every jump will fire the gund + AoEs which leads to ridiculous stacking of Resonant Touch - best if enemies stand near to each other!) Against single targets you can use normal blunderbusses or summon the Long Pain. Most important item for Whispers of the Wind is Ajamuut's Stalking Cloak. Ring of the Marksman is nice. I also used Ring of Overseeing and Aloth's armor - but other stuff also works fine. I tried to stack a lot of INT, too.1 point

I got me a Paranid Odysseus destroyer in X4 and I even got it for free. I found it abandoned in the sector Faulty Logic VII. That sector is currently in a war between the Paranid and the Xenon and it is absolutely littered with tracker mines. The way tracker mines work is that when you get near them they home in on you, so you need to fly at a fast pace through minefields. With a smaller ship it's not that big of an issue. Space is big and with a small, or even a medium size ship you can just zoom through a minefield in travel mode and chances are you won't hit anything and be fine. With a destroyer that doesn't work, the ship is way too big and you will hit mine after mine. If you go slow and careful then the mines will home in on you and still blow you up, or cripple your ship. It took a good long time of careful navigation, finding gaps in the minefields, going way out of the way, and a healthy dose of save scumming to get that ship out of that sector and into safer space. I can't even bring it to my headquarters yet; I can bring it there, but I can't dock because I don't have a pier built yet. For the time being, I left the Odysseus docked at a Paranid wharf while I work on getting funding to build a pier. It's a pretty good destroyer, Paranid make good warships, so I will keep it and eventually outfit it with top of the line weapons, shields, and engines, but everything destroyer size is really expensive, so that will be in the future. Right now I'm concentrating on adding some production to my HQ to further accelerate my economy. I'll likely build a new station soon too, though I haven't determined what type of production and where yet.1 point

In any case, a 3 party system is better than a 2 party system. If one party ****s up, the other two can form coalitions against it. Looks like Ventura is trying to cozy up to Democrats to try to and form against Republicans, which is fine by me because I don't really care for Democrats but the alternative is dreadful, and the reality of living in a democratic society is that you have to make concessions and team up with one to destroy marginalize the other. Should be fun!1 point

Interesting discovery : Ancient Brittle Bones and Yet its Mate are 2 Chanter summon upgrades that will cause your summons to Spawn another summon(s) upon death. However, I just discovered that the new Summon is technically not summoned by the chanter but by the summon itself. Which means : 1) The Summon Intellect is used to determine the duration of the Summon. Skeletons have 10 INT and Drake has 8 INT, so its not a good news. 2) Since the Summon is not technically summoned by the Chanter, it does not count for the 1 Summoned group limit. This is HUGE for the Drake because when you get the second Enraged Drake, if you can cast another summon, you will still keep the drake. Skeletons have such a low duration that it isn't that useful. 3) The new Summon is not a "Beckoner Summon" even if the original one was. It has full life and duration. You can summon 2 weak Drakes, they get killed easily, and now you have 2 Full Drakes that don't count for summon limit. I haven't actually tested it for the Skeletons, but I guess it works the same (but it matters less). That makes Drake Summon noticeably better than one might think, especially for Beckoner. They aren't still great IMHO, but I'm still working on Summon balance, so unique features are more important for me than raw power.1 point

The US Libertarian Party finally has a seat in Congress. Justin Amash has switched parties ahead of hos Presidential bid. The reactions to that have been about what you'd expect. "He can't do that! This is the most important election in history!" "You HAVE to choose the lesser evil" & "Don't you know you're only helping Trump/Biden". Why is it so difficult to comprehend that when both alternatives are unacceptable it is not only reasonable but smart to look for a third way?1 point

If you move to a different country you should adapt not the other way around. But, I get it, this is the anti West prejudice showing usually from Western peons. This reminds me of a westerner who gets int trouble with some bogus law in some 3d world **** hole. The westerner is blamed for not knowing better and not following the law as written. But, when a foreigner comes to the West and runs afoul of the law (usually but not always more legit) the West is blamed for not adapting the law to suit the newcomer. Western citizens are told to follow the law no matter what. Others are often given a pass. Talk about bigotry and law expectations.1 point

I would say so, the evidence they have supports it. And yeah, I do think it'd be a good idea to use their native language to help them get a proper career and learn Swedish. Overall though, I think that we'd have an overall better successrate if we were to actually distribute people throughout the country and not dump them all in the same areas in Malmö, Gothenburg and Stockholm. Humans are tribal and like hanging out with "out own people", so if you put them all in the same general areas they have no reason to take any steps towards integration and instead become more insular. Municipalities should be penalized for in any way refusing to accept immigrants.1 point

Did those, and doing repeatable ones as well, since money's not an issue. Still slow, and repeatable ones are on timer. P.S.: Aaaaand speaking of Deus Exes (Deii Exii?), look what GOG dragged in! There's also Dungeon Siege series, how are those? ARPG is a pretty broad label, are they more Diabloesque, Icewind-Daleesque, something else?1 point

I hear you man. I never use consumables (well, rarely), never upgrade items unless I'm 100% sure. It's been ruined by games having you feel bad by not holding onto a once only weapon you only had at the start of the game to be able to turn it into the most powerful thing ever. Or items you used, you find out later you can not create or ever find again. Rare things that are impossible to replicate and have a single use, but aren't available in high enough quantity to cater to everything you need make you hold onto them for way too long. With the consumables thing. I play every game that way. Every RPG I play I don't use consumables. Only in very rare circumstances will I use them, or if I know I can get plenty more. It's also one of the reasons I do not enjoy playing Nalpazca. I hate playing that because it forces me to use consumables and I don't want to. In Deadfire summons from items for instance have a per rest activation limit and a limited use. This means I will never ever use them. Like ever. Am I gimping myself? Sure, but I don't want to use them. Period.1 point
