  1. Hello there, Since it can be hard to figure what summons exactly do and how they scale (especially their weapons and armors), I decide to look directly in the GameData Files to understand how it works. Note that the tables on this thread have not been fully tested (TBH it would have been too long), but I checked several creatures to check if I understood correctly all the principles. There might be a couple of interpration errors, but based on my samples, I am pretty confident with the results. First, the base stats. They work exactly as characters stats : Accuracy and all Defenses get +3 per level and also benefit from Stats (included bonus from items for Summons that copy yourself). Caster level is used to determine the level value except if the creature as a greater intresic leve. For example, Chanter's Animated Weapons have an intresic level of 17, so : - if a level 13 Chanter cast the spell, it will count as level 17, - if a level 18 Chanter cast the spell, it will count as level 18. Thanks @thelee gamefaqs for these explainations : https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/pc/227477-pillars-of-eternity-ii-deadfire/faqs/76599/non-pl-scaling The only exception is Skeletons summoned from Chanter's Phrase "Many lives..." that don't scale. That's +8 Acc/ all defense, +1PEN/AR if you play in Hard for example. ** Note that this version is based on the same stats / creature as the invocation version but does not scale with the summoner level. However, it is apparently level 5 with +2PEN/AR for some reasons (that's the best approximation I can get). The second part is about the Summons equipment or natural armor / weapons. This is a bit more complicated because there is no universal rule about how they scale. It truly depends on the summons. Some summons get +4 Accuracy, +15% damages and +1PEN every 4 levels beyond 1 (for weapons) and +1AR every 4 levels beyond 1 (for armors). That what is reffered as "nomal scaling" and follow the table in the Gamefaq above. An some simply don't. The following tables give more details about which ones scale and which do not. The game may internally categorizes as "One Handed", but it only means that it brings no further bonus. 1H : Means that the weapon receives the +12 Accuracy bonus as for 1-hander used alone. DW : Means that the weapon sets count as dual wielding (a pair of claws, drake's bite& tail, or a single tentacle all count as Dual Wielding for some reasons). Therefore, it adds -30% Recovery. I might add further explainations later based on your feedback because all these might not be that easy to get. It also explains with numbers why some summons "feel just better than others", especially the deadly Ancient Weapons that basically come with a +16 Accuracy / +4 PEN / +60% damage bonus. You may now that I have modding in mind so don't hesitate to make comments about what you think of the current balance of summons.

  2. After just over 2 months of the carnivore diet I went from 215 lbs to 193 lbs and I feel great. I'm going go back to a more balanced diet now, but I'm not going completely back to how I was eating before. Refined sugar is definitely out, that's enemy number one. I'm fine with naturally occurring sugars, such as the lactose in milk and the fructose in fruits, but anything with added sugar is no bueno. I'm still going to try to keep my carbs fairly low. Bread and pasta are still out. I'll allow myself potatoes, rice, and some of the other grains, but I'll try to limit them to small quantities. Right now I want to see if I can keep the 22 lbs I lost off now that I'm off the carnivore diet. If and when that's successful I'd like to eventually get down to 180 lbs, which is my ideal weight.

  3. After 2 playthroughs I can recommend the game; full disclosure I played Nano, I think that it is probably the best class. The game is good, I like the edge/skills system way more than I like random rolls for skills. Quite the unique story and setting, characters as well. It is very much the spiritual successor of PS:T. Now if only we could get a spiritual successor for Arcanum I could die a happy man.

  14. The game is the perfect example that players didn't want "lots of text" .... they just wanted good text. I remember very well how we all back in the days were super hyped for "lots of text", because the original Planescape had "lots of text" as well. At least in the Fallout modding community, everyone wanted to make the next Planescape... and of course that meant lots of text (the mods all failed btw). It took me till Numenera to learn that it's really about the quality. I mean, Fallout 1 didn't have that much text either, but it feels great and to the point. Numenera however .... it's so convoluted and ugh. There's so much crap that could be cut and nothing of value would be lost. All these super detailed descriptive texts, etc... just pointless and annoying. After a couple dialogs you will automatically start skimming the text and then just outright skip the lines that aren't marked as essential. Pillars of Eternity did exactly the same mistake, PoE2 made it better... looks like Obsidian learned from it. Other than that, I actually really like the Numenera world and the ideas behind it.

  16. made split pea soup am not having a specific recipe for this... we use a stock pot, but isn't particular copious amounts so the pot is unnecessary. real reason we use the big pot is it requires less cleanup-- we start by crisping a couple strips o' thick-cut bacon. big pot means splatter from bacon stays in the pot rather than getting... everywhere. we cut up our bacon into smallish pieces ahead o' time, but isn't necessary. remove bacon from pot and then add classic mirepoix and 1ish teaspoon caraway seeds to hot bacon grease in pot. over medium heat, saute veggies 'til translucent. am personal using 'bout 1C each o' fine chopped onion, celery and carrot. however, 'bout 1/3 o' the carrot am not chopping fine 'cause we like healthy sized chunks o' carrots in our "soup." sue us. once veggies is tender, add stock and split peas. chicken or vegetable is good stock choice. we used chicken only 'cause we recent made chicken stock. 6ish C. if you cook w/o a lid, the peas become tender quicker, but you need keep adding fluid frequent. can add water or diluted chicken stock to keep hydrated. we use a 1lb bag o' green split peas-- picked and rinsed. bring to a boil then reduce to simmer. typical takes more than an hour, but after 'bout 45 minutes you may start checking to see if peas is suitably tender. am not certain why peas often take forever to get soft, but is just a fact o' life. don't assume 45 minutes or an hour will be enough time. while soup is simmering, make rye-bread croutons. butter. pan. rye bread cubes. is not rocket science. once peas is tender, add 1ish T worcestershire sauce and a C of frozen peas to your soup. season with salt and pepper to taste and bring to a boil. promptly remove from heat once boiling. yes, frozen peas. may not be able to find any frozen peas in stores at the moment, but give it a try. adds nice color and flavor to what is admitted a kinda bland soup... though the carraway, worcestershire and rye bread "croutons" is gonna make this more flavorful than typical split pea soups. get a bowl and add a bit o' your cooked bacon and rye bread croutons, then pour in as much soup as desired. might wanna consider a bit o' italian parsley fluid will evaporate from your soup almost magical regardless o' how airtight is your container for storing. chances are your remaining refrigerated soup becomes a paste or gel by next day. gonna need add fluid to make edible when reheating on day two or three or four or five. if you do not like caraway and rye bread flavors, skip the caraway seeds and croutons. HA! Good Fun!

How in the world can you claim with a straight face that they addressed this spread 'effectively'? That's delusional gobblygook. China, btw, is a country that had done some of the following things effectively: 1. Punish a doctor for telling the truth. he subsequently died. 2. Lie about number of deaths. 3. Claimed it was over when there a few days with no deaths then it started again. 4. reopened certainly things (theatres) only to have to close them not even a week later. 20. Next part https://imgur.com/a/RhylGxX --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Bricks of Eora: Part I, Act I, Chapter I, Conversations with Calisca When you and Calisca are about to reach what appears to be a group of spring berry bushes, your nose caches the smell of wet hair and rotten flesh. "Wolfs!", the young woman shouts. The wolves attack you with great ferocity, but they are no real match for you. You breathe profoundly, focus your thoughts, and dive into the mind of one of the beasts. It shivers, confused, as his eyesight fails him and his thoughts meld erratically. You don't falter, and with a quick strike of your sword, end the animal life. Meanwhile Calisca finishes the other wolf with his axe, splatting its blood in the ground. You pick up the springberries, and are about to return to the camp, when Calisca stops you with a smirk. "You know, i didn't take you for the fighting type at first. You look more like a scholar to me, but you are definitely not a mage. Are you a cleric, perhaps?", she asks. "The first one is true, at least in part" You turn your head to the sides various times. "But who are you then? I heard Odema calling you Maximilian at one point, but i would like to fully know who I'm working with" "I'm Maximilian Miroslav, and i come from the distant Living lands" "The wild lands of the North! I can't say i known them enough, but is it true that there you can find spiders the size of houses, and that plants can devour entire caravans without leaving a trace?" "Among many other things, yes" "And why would anyone want to live in there?" "To be frank, i don't think that anyone could truly understand the lands unless they experienced them in person" "But for you?" "They used to be my home. I grew up there, in one of the frontier villages" "And what did you do in there, you where an explorer or something?" "In part, but i mostly worked as an alchemist and mechanical engineer. There is always demand of people with my skills up there" "But then, why did you leave the lands?" "One day, while i was in a forest looking for new herbs, an explosion destroyed my house and laboratory. I lost almost everything i had, and with no opportunity of rebuilding my life there i decided to leave the lands and venture to new frontiers. Eventually that path led me to the Dyrwood" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also in tv series cops always find evidence helping them to catch serial killer from some poor soul buried in the mass grave whose death was not properly investigated, which may or may not have influenced officials in their decision to keep using mass graves.

  27. There's definitely nothing in the later episodes that is worth restarting a stalled watch. Loads of maudlin for the sake of it emotion and incoherent plotting and action scenes.

  30. Una and Nungata are missing in Serpent's Crown. The player can try waiting, or resting in an inn, or exiting and then reentering Neketaka, but none of those steps make Una and Nungata reappear again. link to save: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/r1ty1ny30dj2gug/AACTdLrtvng63zArbWGE-7fPa?dl=0

  31. This is still a problem with 3.0. Presumably, Una and Nungata are hidden so they don't get into the crossfire of 'The Coming Storm'; however, this means the player has to either 1) do all of Nungata's quests before meeting Ethoas at Ashen Maw; but this still leaves Una missing, 2) delay meeting Eothas at Ashen Maw, or 3) immediately go through with a faction quest in 'The Coming Storm'. Otherwise, if the player chose to dally, he/she will loose access to the two NPCs until the end game is triggered. A more forgiving choice would be to have Una and Nungata hidden only after the player has chosen a faction in 'The Coming Storm'.
