Watched The Tiger King on Netflix yesterday. I'd say it was surprising but having grown up and lived a fair bit of my life in Florida, nothing surprises me.2 points

I saw this on the internets and seems like a useful link to have: https://gamerefundpolicies.com/ As the name suggests, it's a listing of refund policies for digital game stores.2 points

This is a fascinating video of how South Korea is containing the virus (and why it wouldn't work in the U.S.) Key Points: Masks work and the public is encouraged to wear them in public. They don't listen to the WHO. It costs $140 to take a test. If you test positive, the test is free. All returning passengers are tested and taken to an area to wait for their test. It takes 6 hours to get your results. If positive, they are taken away. If negative, they go home to self isolate. An app is installed on your phone. They need to update the app twice a day. If you don't update, they call you to find out why. If you leave your house, the app sounds an alarm and alerts the authorities. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAk7aX5hksU2 points

This is limbo in chat forum form. Time is always a relative concept, and here you get to care even less about it. Nice to see you again!2 points

Rise is better and Shadow is much better. Shadow is a legit good game IMHO. The reboot series becomes more actual Tomb Raider and less Geara of Lara as it progresses. For example, the sequels have actual tombs to raid. Heck, Shadow even has a couple that aren't completely insultingly easy. Still too easy for my tastes, but better than the Baby's First Platforming Puzzle crap that passes for challenge tombs in the first reboot game.2 points

Considering how much of a beating Lara can take in the cutscenes I had to laugh at Roth dying from that little axe hit in the back. He really should have had her tank the hit.2 points

Good point about polarization. God help us all if they ever really started working together!1 point

Percentage of the wage for Easter and Christmas, as well as a very small bonus in August for children's summer camp. My account is adamant I always pay these on time - which is a bit silly because I always pay everything on time - because while with normal wages, if I were to not pay and get sued, I would be able to claim that I am forced to delay payment and have every intention to pay. The holiday bonus can't be delayed as that is seen as flagrante delicto. The result of that is that unscrupulous employers will pay bonuses, then have their staff pay it back in cash.1 point

I thought this guy was familiar. I guess he was on a season of The Voice on Christina's team. One of those good ones that you still yet forget all about once a show is over. Man his expressions and stuff are so funny. I hope he makes a few more.1 point

Hey, even the USA brought out some good things. Pete Seeger, Bob Ross, Tracy Chapman... yeah, that's my list right now.1 point

^Its probably the O2 sensor. I think Ive settled in on; I need to have enough stores on hand to feed 3 mouths, 2500 calories per day, and wipe the behinds of, for 21 days. So every couple of days I venture out to replace whatever we used from the previous days.1 point

Hi There, I actually did end up beating him shortly after I posted this. I backtracked and wandered around the various platforms, desperately trying to scavenge items that would help me. I ended up finding an energy cannon (unsure of the precise name), and used this is my main weapon of choice. I would direct the attack towards the back of at him, and when the drones would emerge, I would hide in one of the hibernation chambers to restore my health. If any drones entered these rooms, I'd swat them away with an energy bat thing (again unsure of the precise name), and as a result would gain extra power cells for my main weapon. This method took me a little while, but wow it was a good feeling beating him in the end. Thanks very much for taking the time to reply to me in such detail, hopefully somebody in the future can find this for assistance.1 point

I'm really enjoying being at home all the time with nobody to bother me. If people weren't dying this would be a dream come true. Had to go hunting and gathering yesterday evening and had to hit 3 different stores just to get maybe 75% of what was on my list.1 point

There is Drakengard which is the first game in the series. There is also Drakengard 2 which is a sequel to the original Drakengard but there is also Nier which is also a sequel based on one of the endings in Drakengard 1. There is Drakengard 3 which is a prequel to Drakengard 1 and Nier: Automata which is a sequel to Nier which itself had two different versions. Edit: ^ If I were to say all of that to someone face to face they would've probably punched me in the face halfway through and moved along.1 point

I just did this battle yesterday (can send you a link to my YouTube video if you want to see what I did). First time through, I was able to hack my way past it, then I reloaded an earlier save and did it without hacking, just to see what would happen. I had 1000s of ammo of all types and took a level 32 deadeye assault rifle II and level 20 Thunder, a special named rifle that does shock damage. I also had the mind control science weapon, which seemed to help against the drones. Felix and Max were with me but went down pretty quickly, and as soon as they'd get up they'd go down again. It can be time consuming but it's possible to win. I was on normal difficulty. Keep moving, pay attention to your health bar, run around to let it regen on its own if you have to conserve the adreno. The drones come out in waves as you whittle down RAM's health, so stay away from him and put down the drones, then focus on him again. I would hide around the side of a pillar (or whatever those things were in the center with the hibernation chambers) and then just as RAM came into view, I'd fire several shots and run before he could rush me. Aim for his arm or back, not the shield (you probably know that). Right after he rushes, he will go into a brief recovery period, kind of bent over and still for a few seconds, that's a good time to shoot him a lot. If you just can't do it, maybe backtrack and pick up some ammo or reload an earlier save and gear up a little more? Good luck.1 point

That was definitely a necromantic comment, although the school doesn't exist in Deadfire!1 point

You have to select the attack icon manually as charmed enemies are under your control. You can target them with abilities specifically.1 point

I'm about halfway through Tiger King. So far someone getting their arm ripped off by a tiger is one of the least bizarre things in the show and I halfway expect Joe Exotic to end up being a jojo villain.1 point

Michigan State Rep. Isaac Robinson dies of coronavirus. For those of us here that get sick (and it is statistically very likely at least some of us will), keep in mind that the line between "I'm alright, hanging in there" and "welp I guess I'm dead" is notoriously thin with this thing. There have been a number of cases where people thought their sickness was manageable and not getting worse for a few days, and then suddenly were overwhelmed and dead within just a few hours. Be very proactive in monitoring yourself (...and loved ones if they get sick). Going to the hospital during a pandemic sucks with all the risk factors, but if you're legitimately going to die at home anyways, you might as well try.1 point

If it makes you feel better, I just made a current events assignment for my 7th graders out of your post. We've already covered habeas corpus this year, so hopefully this will hit home for them. Hardest part of writing the assignment was not making the stimulus package sound like a blatant payoff for our civil liberties. I mean, I don't mind them making the connection, but I don't want to make it for them.1 point
