  1. Yep, all of the shows and movies they have availble for streaming are available to you. Also, nothing wrong with using a trial to watch what you want. Their goal is to get you in and have the rest of their content keep you beyond the free trial.

  2. Thousands Protest in PR Over Offensive Chat. Too bad they didn't turn out to help unload the ports and airstrips full of relief supplies that went to waste.

  3. Mobile gaming has minimized but I still don't feel like turning on/logging into the desktops much, for any reason. Starting to think the 'net and PC love affair is finally dying, much like I largely lost interest in/became bored of reading books many moons ago after decades of being a novel-obsessive. I'd just rather be doing something else most of the time. Well, maybe it's just summer and such will end up a Winter thing, mostly, if that makes sense. We're doing well, however. Weather has been nice, garden's starting to produce, occasional binge watch of a show, just enjoying being alive and relaxing.

  4. Or taking attention away from starting a new war. But really, if it came out he did everything Epstein did or faked an attack to invade some country I honestly doubt his supporters would care and we'd see either justification or denial like we've seen for everything else.

  5. It can't be ignored that Owlcat worked on a far far tighter budget. One might make argument against making massive RPGs without resources to match the ambition, but crowd has spoken, game has been funded, and to be honest I have been fairly impressed with Kingmaker so far. It also cater to a very specific crowd - it is not bad thing in itself. Kickstarter games are a great place to do those kind of projects. I don't long for a faithful table top adaptation, but some people do. That's also a very backhanded compliment: "compared to X you are great!" Deadfire is great without being compared to other games. It is not "one or the other" situation.

  6. The four comments above, by the way, perfectly exemplify a phenomenon that you can see on pretty much all internet forums. Two of the comments above are sensible, the other two are not. And here's the funny thing: the sensible comments are written in perfectly decent English that is understandable and easy to read. The non-sensible comments are written in the kind of language that would make you flunk.

  7. Good for you! You are wrong, of course... Pathfinder: Kingmaker is a great game that knows what it wants to be. Deadfire is nice, but it can't decide if it wants to cater to a casual or a hardcore audience.

  9. i think we are getting really old for this crap. I will never get that appeal of those 'battle royale' games anyway, I would rather play Unreal Tournament than any of the new crap

  11. https://www.cnbc.com/2019/07/22/jeffrey-epsteins-black-book-trump-clintons-prince-andrew.html "The "black book" of Jeffrey Epstein, a wealthy financier and now-accused child sex trafficker, is a smorgasbord of high-profile, powerful people, including Presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, Britain's Prince Andrew and former Prime Minister Tony Blair, and convicted sex assailant and comedian Bill Cosby, Epstein's former neighbor. Also in Epstein's address book is supermarket mogul Ron Burkle, Clinton's daughter Chelsea Clinton, former Secretaries of State Henry Kissinger and John Kerry, late Saudi arms dealer Adnan Khashoggi, and media titan Rupert Murdoch, New York magazine noted in a new article." If all of these people were actually involved (and just to be clear, the fact that they're named in a book of contacts does not prove it in of itself - it's unlikely every kind of relationship Epstein had was for the same purpose, after all), I would literally not regret it for even a moment if they all went to prison. I guess it's too late for Khashoggi and Bill Cosby, but yeah.

  14. What? I mean, you pay like $10 a month for the whole library. You can watch it and just cancel your sub after a month. Heck, you can probably even watch it on a free trial period. I'm not sure you can find a better bargain for your entertainment dollars. Maybe the public libraries are a better deal, but that's about it.

  15. Guys if you have an interest in animals and conservation here is a heart warming and true story. The man in this story, Laurence Anthony, is a family friend. We grew up with his kids and he had a business with my dad until they had irreconcilable differences and parted ways but most of my family remained friends with his family and him He also was the South African who traveled to Iraq in 2003 to help animals in the Baghdad zoo who had been displaced by the Iraq invasion https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/obituaries/9131585/Lawrence-Anthony.html I didn't know about the Elephant whisperer story until today when my stepmom sent us the video

  17. If you sometimes like nice, mellow, inspirational and beautiful movies that have zero action, cgi or major plot, could do worse than a little 2018 film called "Find Me." I saw it via Amazon Prime. The first 15 minutes or so sets up characters and situation then moves into beautiful locations and a man's journey to find a friend, following clues and tasks she left behind for him. The ending was easily predictable for me, but still touching. Not the best movie in the world, just one of those nice small indie pictures. I had hubby watch it the next evening and he liked it about the same level.

  19. Hmmm... maybe, maybe not. All the is known is they were associated n the '90's and sometime in the late '90's early 2000's they had some kind of falling out that led to Epstein being banned from Mar Lago. Rumor has it Epstein raped/propositioned/etc on of the staff but no one knows. Bill Clinton is much more at risk from Epstein because he was a frequent guest up until recently. Hard to say what comes of this. Usually Democrats won't eat their own. They might sacrifice Clinton to get Trump if the choice s presented. We'll have to wait and see on this one

  21. Meh. Beautiful dryads looks too ugly, the creators of the TV series confused Slavs with Gypsies, all Slavic medieval vibe what make Witcher setting unique has been missed. We live in interesting time when videogames start surpass TV, they are just better in all.

  22. half-way through a first-ever eight-entry Fast & Furious run, for real was told Tokyo Drift is the low point, but disagree completely ... the ethos of family, trust, and corner speed are more honestly represented than in the first, second, and fourth films combined bonus subtext knowing Vin Diesel is a D&D nerd makes early F&F ten times more enjoyable ... and seeing how far Gal Gadot has come as an actor and entity totally validates Gromnir's suspicions back before Wonder Woman in 2017, *eight years after her debut in this series (vaya con Díos, really) the hope now is that 5-8 ramp up the hardware ... got a GT-3 and a GT-R in 4, not much besides Evos and Eclipses prior

  24. We had a fun weekend at Donner Lake. On Saturday my wife did her first sprint triathlon. I think I was as nervous as she was. She did great. The swim was the big hurdle, and she got through it. Very fun to be cheering instead of racing. Today I did the Olympic Triathlon. I did it last year and it was beautiful. It was the only race I wanted to do again. I improved my time by 11 minutes, so it was fun to see the progression.

  27. 'Tis true. But confusing 3E with 3.5E is... less problematic than confusing AD&D 2E with 3E D&D. 3.5E was just a revised version of the 3E rules where they baked a bunch of corrections and addenda into the core rules to, well, grab a bit of extra cash from the player base.

  28. In case others haven't mentioned it, patch 5.0 adds dialogue (including an ongoing narrative with Woedica that unfolds alongside the main questline) which, among other things, explains what life was like before the wheel. Might be worth a second playthrough now that PoE2 is content complete

  29. I beat the prologue mission in HITMAN 2, silent assassin, suit only, naturally. Very easy mission, as I would expect from the prologue mission. I completed it on professional difficulty, which threw me off at first since difficulties have changed from the previous game. In the previous game you had normal and professional difficulties. In HITMAN 2 you have casual difficulty, which is for the people that bought the wrong game and wanted to play Call of Duty instead. There's professional difficulty, which is normal difficulty from the previous game. Finally, there's master difficulty, which is professional difficulty from the previous game. I believe I get to do one more mission in the freebie pack I scooped up, but before I get to that I'm going to run the prologue mission a couple more times on master difficulty and try to pull off some more fun kills (I strangled the target with fiber wire going through it the first time, which is classic, but hardly inventive), and to silent assassin, suit only the mission on the highest difficulty at least once.

  32. "Go back to " has a long history here. Maybe some of the international folks have similar things in their own countries. Words or phrases that have other much more negative connotations behind them than may appear at first glance or to someone unfamiliar. https://www.npr.org/2019/07/15/741827580/go-back-where-you-came-from-the-long-rhetorical-roots-of-trump-s-racist-tweets I've personally been told to go back to various different places usually depending on where I am in the country. Though to be fair to the racists, because everyone needs a break, I'm decently tough to pin down since my (ancient alien) ancestors are from figurative literally everywhere.

  39. Just in case: Aloth still has only 2 dispositions that he approves, in v5.0. So: Aloth approves 2; disapproves 3 Eder approves 5; disapproves 3 Maia approves 5; disapproves 2 Pallegina approves 4; disapproves 3 Serafen approves 4; disapproves 2 Tekehu approves 6; disapproves 2 Xoti approves 4; disapproves 3 P.S. But there is a mod that adds 2 extra (and lore-friendly) dispositions for Aloth to approve: link
