  4. Head Builder Frae Steelgrip - "Taskmaster Rada. This is an unexpected pleasure. We are honored by your presence." Taskmaster Rada - "You may dispense with the pleasantries, builder. I am here to put you back on schedule." Steelgrip - "I assure you, Taskmaster Rada, my men are working as fast as they can." Rada - "Perhaps I can find new ways to motivate them." Steelgrip - "I tell you that this fortress will be operational as planned." Rada - "The Mistress does not share your optimistic appraisal of the situation." Steelgrip - "But she asks the impossible. I need more men." Rada - "Then perhaps you can tell her when she arrives." Steelgrip - *gasp* "The Mistress is coming here?" Rada - "That is correct, builder, and she is most displeased with your apparent lack of progress." Steelgrip - "We shall double our efforts." Rada - "I hope so, builder, for your sake. 7. I'm sure there are plenty of kids not being "ruined" by this new age of media, but I can't help but feel those who are left to fall into this stuff (either being lonely latchkeys or otherwise) are probably suffering for it more-so than previous generations. In the entertainment world, it often seems like the route to a persons wallet is through their kid. And anything that can be done to encourage a youth culture that entices spending will be marketed to the fullest. That's not necessarily new, but it's very aggressive these days, and all within an economy that is far less mobile than in the past.

  10. Welcome to the new and updated list of current builds from these boards. Each of the eleven classes in the game is listed below in alphabetical order, with each build listed alphabetically underneath. For each build you'll find a short descriptor, an indication of the game version it was built for and/or it uses gear and abilities from, and whether it has been meant or tested for solo play. DISCLAIMER: In drawing up the list, I assumed solo play to be untested for all builds that did not explicitly mention solo play in the OP. If anyone tested any of these builds for solo play and would like their experience to be reflected in this thread, please PM me or Tigranes specifying the build you used, the difficulty you tried, and whether you could beat the game. Similarly, if you want your build's descriptor updated, contact us with the updated descriptor. DISCLAIMER II: Included in this list are what builds I could find scavenging the boards, plus any builds that were PMed to me. If your build is missing, please PM me or Tigranes with the relevant information (link, descriptor, game version, solo play) and we will add it. FORMAT: Build Name [links to the build's thread] Short descriptor of what the build does or specializes in. Author: The user who made the build. Game version: What game version the build was created for, and/or uses equipment and abilities from. Solo: Whether the build is suitable for solo play. "Yes [Difficulty]" - The build was either created or tested for solo play on the specified difficulty level. "No [Difficulty]" - The build was tested for solo play on the specified difficulty level and the game could not be beaten. "Untested" - The build wasn't born with solo play in mind, but for all we know it might as well work—except nobody's tried yet. 11. This mod, as the name implies, allows you to tint godlikes. It also adds some more head options to those. https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/325 This mod is somewhat special, so you have to read the installation instructions carefully! Installation: 1. Extract the files into your "Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire" main folder (the one with the exe). You should now have two new files (RUN_FIRST!!!.exe and Tint_God_Mod.exe) in your main folder and a folder called "Tint God" inside your override folder. 2. Now run "RUN_FIRST!!!.exe" as the file says ;). Select the "Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire" main folder (the one with the game.exe) and let the patch work. You have to run "RUN_FIRST!!!.exe" every time you install the mod!!! 3. After "RUN_FIRST!!!.exe" is finished and everything was successful, run "Tint_God_Mod.exe". Again select the "Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire" main folder (the one with the game.exe) when prompted and let the patch work. After that is finished, you can start the game and should be able to tint godlikes. 4. This mod creates big backup files in "\Pillars of Eternity II Deadfire\PillarsOfEternityII_Data\assetbundles". If everything works as intended you can safely delete those backups. Compatibility: ATTENTION! This mod IS NOT compatible with Kilay's great "CC more colors" mod. You have to disable it. However, I have tried to include some of its features into this mod. This mod is halfway compatible with game patches or mods, which alter assetbundles. If a patch makes changes to "charactershd.unity3d", "characters.unity3d", "items.unity3d" or "character_headandskin_hd.unity3d" it will throw up errors for this assetbundles. The only consistent way to deal with that, is to reinstall the game, patch it and then reapply the mod, so long as no "new content" is added by a patch (new DLC releases or features like turn based mode). In that case an updated installer will be provided on the mod's nexus site. In case of other mods for assetbundles, you are safe so long those mods don't change anything about godlikes or the manifest files inside the assetbundles. Known issues: I: At game loading the characters in the Inventory screen have no body textures. S: This happens because of the game's loading priority for mods from the override folder. Just equip/unequip some armor to solve it. I: The aumaua, elf, dwraf and orlan variants of godlikes have odd or different tinting. S: That is a problem how the unity engine "generates" those races from the human raw model. I don't have a solution for this problem, yet. The human version of the godlikes should work. I: Godlikes can't be tinted. S: You either have not run "RUN_FIRST!!!.exe" or it didn't work. Restore the backups or better reinstall the game and then follow the installation instructions.

  12. I'm not sure where the appropriate place to submit feature requests is. With the code apparently freezing sometime in February in anticipation of the console release, I thought it would be good to request this again. Given how many great subclasses exist, its a great shame that you can only experience them through your main character and hired adventurers. It would be nice if we could choose subclasses for the story companions and sidekicks (specifically those that don't have exclusive unique ones) when they are recruited. I am aware that it is possible to do this through console commands/mods, but it feels like it should simply be added as a core feature. It also doesn't feel like it would be massive amounts of work to implement and would be an overall easy win. Its likely that many people only play the game once and likely with the story companions - this feature would allow those people to see some of the huge variety of subclasses in the game.

  13. Need to trigger brilliant through Shroud of the Phantom before combat tho. BDD + Salvation + Tons of mage buff, once trigger Blade Cascade, then switch to 2H axe, main dps source is DoT of bleeding cut, since u are at 0 recovery, each attack trigger DoT and thus u literally ignore enemy armor. Finish with Worthy sacrifice. Edit: luckily I triggered blade cascade one first hit, otherwise it will be a bit slower, around 2:30 min, but I also paused a bit, so it's kinda of compensate Edit 2: Might be able to reduce the time to <1 min with Monk/Priest because of Heartbeat Drumming + Swift Flurry, but this a concept so it doesn't matter. New videa as Contemplative, 40 secs killed Dorugudan.

  14. With millennial, you'd think that the parents and grandparents would be more of an asset, but often times it seems like they aren't. So much of the previous generations wealth is locked away in the home, in hsas and retirement. I think most assumed the cost of school and housing wasn't going to change for their kids, so they were left to societies faculties, while the parents basically deferred their liquid wealth for retirement. Instead of using it raise the next generation. It's especially telling how with a lot of old people, the only way to access their fortunes is to go into the medical industry and get payed out of the boomers insurance plans. As far as boomer's possessions. I can't help but feel an entire generation largely bought material goods which aren't heirloom worthy. And for antiques so much of it was luxury stuff related to "domestic ceremony" that just has no place in our modern world. When I watch artisan videos on youtube, it makes me want to have fewer but more prized and personal possessions. By valuing the minimal more, your life is in someways less bound to the material, because each thing has a personal important in your routine or life. Just having things to have them is what becomes taxing, even if they are so replaceable that you'd say that "you have no attatchment to them." Maybe true, but your more of a slave to them, as opposed to them being the tools to you.

  17. We have completed with Phenomenum, quite a few changes/suggestions from this thread, poll and tech forums. At the moment we have organized them into 4 mods: CommunityPatch: Basic - includes suggestions from the Polishing Poll, which we could mod, with more than 66% votes pro / less than 34% votes against. CommunityPatch: Extra - includes suggestions that have more pro votes than against, but didn't make it into Basic package. Additionally it address a few issues we have found in Tech Forums. CommunityPatch: Keywords - adds an array of missing keywords to various spells and abilities; and additionally adjusts a few (in our opinion) misplaced ones CommunityPatch: Typos - fixes several typos found through the game. (thanks to AndreaColombo for assistance and bringing this out) You can download them all in one archive: HERE Please note, that at the moment they are in BETA state. We still have a few little things to finish, and address localization (at the moment there might be a few Missing Strings in languages other than EN/RU). As usually any feedback is highly welcome. 19. I have tried to make looks for woedica and skaen godlikes. Both can be found under Death godlikes. Woedica godlikes: Since Woedica is supposed to be burned, old and a Queen, her godlikes have burned, leathery skin, grey hair and golden crown like hornes. Skaen godlikes: Since Skaen is pictured as disfigured and scarred and manifests as Effigy, his godlikes look also disfigured, scarred, flailed and sometimes without eyes.

  20. Last time I checked Aloth's Amor with mortars' AoE it did increase it. But different from PoE it's not an increase in radius (!) but actual area (area = radius * radius * Pi). Meaning it can be a bit difficult to see - especially if you already have good AoE bonuses (through INT for example). Let's assume you have a base radius of 2.5 meters then your actual area is 2.5*2.5*3.144=19.65 m². Add 15% to that and you have 22.6 m². Which translates to a radius of sqroot(22.6/3.144) = 2.68. So the radius is only 0.18 meters bigger. And that's without any other AoE bonus which will make it even harder to see. Because the bigger the circle already is the less visible the radius increase will be. So: I guess it still works but you just expected a bigger "visual" increase. But I can't say for sure since I didn't test lately.

So many missing features, unresponsive ai, balance tweaks and whatever else. Didn't realize how much the game had changed with every update over the years.

  24. Your praise of Tyranny over Deadfire is vague enough that I don’t even know were I agree/disagree. Tyranny’s combat is quite bad, and that is a problem as a majority of game is combat, much more than in PoE. Story bits are cool, and opening chapter is really strong. After that, not so much. I dislike how choice/consequence is done - to me it suffers from Witcher2 syndrome, where while reactivity is impressive, it is not particularly engaging. I found it to be quite good for a single-play through, but didn’t find it appealing upon returning to it (it didn’t help that Bastards Would was pretty bad). Still, quite sad that this tv show ended on the pilot episode.

  25. Yes, performance is better with 5.0, especially in crowded areas - i'm getting almost constant 60 fps with ReShade and 70-75 without one. BUT! Storm weather drops fps to 40-45, boarding fights also. Opening and closing game menu drops fps by 5-7 frames (i experienced this strange effect on two different systems). Micro freezes on assets load still there (no preload to VRAM it's a shame). And Queen's Berth + storm weather bring fps counter to 30-35 fps. So, in comparison with other games with open-world and decent graphics, Deadfire still one of the most unoptimized games ever.

  26. So the previous administration in our country led by Cristina Kirchner, which stole the GDP of an entire *year* (estimated at around U$S 300 billion), is preparing to postulate themselves for the next turn a muppet as president who will be there only to bypass the law that presidents may not pardon themselves of a crime, in order to pardon Kirchner - who herself will run as vicepresident - and then capitulate so as to let her take over the government again. And continue stealing this way, of course. This is the country I live in.

  29. No There is the limit of 3 PoE does use a sensible number. 3 is a sensible number. It all boils down to "what does a score of X mean?" - and that's described during character creation. In this case "3" can translate to a "7" in Pathfinder. The number system itself doesn't matter. You could have used a system that uses numbers from -10 to 10 to describe a stat as INT "as dumb as it gets" up to "genius". If Pathfinder chooses that 7 is the dumbest a character can be then fine. Lower than 7 then maybe means you wouldn't survive on your own if that was your permenent INT. PoE chose that 3 is that number. The removal of fixed boundaries doesn't prevent anybody from roleplaying. That argument is moot. What if you want to roleplay a crippled character - but you can't because DEX is fixed at 7 (meaning really clumsy but not crippled)? You can't then. Restrictions only restrict your roleplaying. THey don't make it better all of a sudden. Usually there are sound mechanical reasons why stats are restricted (see 35 as max in Deadfire now). But roleplaying reasons? Nay...

  30. I'm pretty well recovered from my Ironman. The sunburn is still bad, but I'm feeling good and should be up for some activity this weekend. It's funny, but about halfway through that race and well into the next day or two, I was thinking there is no way I would do another one of those. But now that I've had a few days to look at my time and think about my performance, I know I could do better and think I should try it again in a couple years. I don't have too much downtime though, as I'm doing the Escape from Alcatraz Triathlon on June 9th. We jump off the boat and swim across the bay, then bike and run in San Francisco. I'm feeling good about it, it is a much shorter event. The craziest part is the swim, which is 1.5 miles and will be cold. I need to go get a training swim in the ocean before then, but I feel ready fitness wise.

  34. I slept well for the first time in several days, despite the fact that I did not sleep longer than usual. It seems to me that I have discovered a way to feel good after waking up. Tonight I will test this way again. 30 minutes before falling asleep, I take a small tablet with magnesium. Next to the bed I put a glass with water and aloe. I set the alarm clock for 3 hours after the first falling asleep, I wake up, I go to the toilet, I drink a lot of mineral water, I go to sleep again. When I wake up again (without an alarm clock), I drink water with aloe and go to sleep further. My head did not hurt, I do not even know when I started to work and it took me a moment to realize "Hey, I'm doing my job well and I'm fine." For me, to sleep well is the most important part of the day. Is I going to sleep well or not define my whole day. Life is beautiful when you feel like you are 21 again.

Most have already forgotten, some have never discovered. Anyway, FO NV is my favorite Fallout 3D version and I'm happy. that Obsidian showed how Fallout could look like I also play Albion Online, my friends recommended this game before, but then I had to pay for it. Now Albion is free to play, and I have to admit that it is a solid MMO. In my opinion, Albion's transition to the F2P mode is the best decision that developers could take.

  38. Reading up on player experiences a Ranger/Cipher is better than Rogue/Cipher in terms of safely gaining focus. But blunderbusses are completely and utterly broken in this game. So any build will work with those and make you snooze through the game. Trust me, it gets boring. I've played pure Ascendant with a blunderbuss for the immediate max focus on first ability and then just spam attacks. Max out int and dex. It was fun, but I didn't really got the my character is bad ass vibe from it like I did from my Lord Daryns Voulge builds.

  39. Being able to read is an extremely large part of this game lol... If you can't finish this "wall" quickly then maybe your lack of reading skills and/or dislike of reading is trying to tell you something very important about yourself
