  2. [CLASS BUILD] UPDATED - The Bleeding Arcanist 2.0 Subclass: Blood Mage UPDATE: Following my initial post I did another solo playthrough, 100% completionist this time and improved on a couple of things I wanted to share. Sorry for double-posting, I couldn’t edit my original post… Added A LOT more details about no-rest bonii, more specific ability/spell picks and Megaboss strategies. Sorry for the wall of text! Hope this is interesting or useful to anyone considering a pure class Bloodmage solo playthrough. I very much recommend it with this build or any build. The Concept: Sturdy

  3. Right on, burnt to a crisp on the outside and bloody rare on the inside. Can't get any better than that. Plus, to get even more blasphemous... you do have the basis for nice gravy in that frying pan. Yep.

  9. I've just a released a small mod that replaces recycled icons in Deadfire with unused icons from Pillars of Eternity. Screenshots of all new icons are available on the Nexus mod page. Hope you enjoy it!

  10. I've been playing for a couple weeks now. Absolutely love the game, but definitely have some suggestions: -You get hungry/thirsty (but ESPECIALLY) thirsty way too quickly. Our game was also very glitchy and dew NEVER appeared on grass, so it was very annoying and unpleasant until we crafted dew collectors. - Ability to craft backpacks/more inventory space - A directional compass at the top of the screen or something. Really just any way to mark "North" without having to open the map constantly - Clovers are the absolute worst. There's no logical reason why we should get so

  11. I don't know if quoting out of thread will give a notification, so just to make sure: @Bartimaeus Just noticed I haven't really replied to your mention of Lindsay Ellis yet. I haven't seen her work on GoT yet, but I enjoyed her take on other things (I watched her videos on Transformers, for instance), and Axiom's End is on my list of to-read books, but that list is just as long as the list of films and shows I need to watch, so who knows when I'll get to that.

  12. 1 hour ago, Melusina said: I personally dislike high difficulties, but people think they are fun. Difficulty isn't fun. Depends on how fair the difficulty is, imo. A game can be difficult and still fair (Dark Souls, etc) or it can be difficult and just frustrating (usually high difficulty in any RTS game, which usually just means the ai will cheat more). /Edit: This forums quote functions are just such a god damn pain in the arse. This is a good example of difficulty that is unfair and unfun.

Rump steak last night with potatoes and a blue cheese sauce, it was delicious I have worked out the best way to cook a thick steak if you dont have a grill because I always prefer grilling and barbequing meat over a fire but we only allowed gas cookers in the flats I stay in You seal the steak on the outside in a hot frying pan and then cook the meat in an oven at about 180 Celsius for 20 minutes. It works well and cooks the steak consistently without burning it than can occur in a frying pan

  15. Most spells which are ranged and targeted (meaning you have to pick an enemy and not the ground) work with penetrating shots afaik. Missiles, Mind Blades and so on. I don't have a comprehensive list so some might not - but if it's ranged and targeted there's a high chance that at least the initial impact will benefit. It's most interesting for multiprojectile/multihit/jumping spells.

  16. I gave it a try after reading your post. It has its good and bad sides, and while overall a nice game I wouldn't compare it to Pillars - in terms of design, not quality. It's a dungeon crawler, not much of a RPG. It's been hours since I tried to care about the plot because the devs couldn't afford voicing almost anything, so I skip through dialogue. It seems proofreading was another thing that had to be cut, because the language errors are too many. Speaking of dialogue and errors, when I was still paying attention to it, the characters sometimes talked a little too much like the animated stat

  17. Gorthfuscious !!!! Im shocked and if I wasnt so loquacious I would be stunned into silence by what you saying Most civilized countries have passed laws where its mandatory for citizens to have watched GoT and Im sure the strict forum rules on this forum are the same as most fantasy forums where all moderators must have watched GoT? I really like you and I dont want you to get into trouble....at least you have started watching the series Gromnir can confirm this but from a legal perspective that can be used as mitigating evidence when you end up in court...either way let me know if you

It worked out somewhat, but she does seem to be somewhat immune to vodka. You see, she spent a year dancing in Japan in her 20's, and now she has move onto something called Shochu: Anyways, I am drunk, and she is fine.

  20. If anyone is interested in the process I'm using, it's pretty largly based on Phenomenum's photoshop guide, but using a combination of Photopea and PaintNet (only really using this for the ink filter) instead of photoshop. The workflow is a little more fiddly than I'd like, as it requires: removing the background using the site linked in the guide, then doing the Exposure and Photo Filter steps in Photopea, exported it without the paper texture, applying an ink filter in PaintNet (which annoyingly puts a black background), then taking it back to Photopea for final edits & clean up an

  21. Note to self: Don't go to a theater with majestic. Probably like most people, I only remember the catch phrases/memes, because they're short and have placed emphasis. Or the only reason I might remember names is because someone is always shouting them in the movies. Sarah! Where is Sarah? I have to see Sarah Connor! Sarah! John! Where is John? John! Call John.

  22. Ah, fun, remembering dialogue. There was a time, many years back, where I could quote the entire original Star Wars trilogy, scene by scene. Today I need to see the movies to quote along to prod my memory a bit, but remembering things generally still works very well. Former colleague of mine watched Star Trek: The Undiscoverd Country during his lunch break at work, at he end of the film he removed his headphones from the laptop, and I heard Spock say "Go to hell", so anyway, I look at him and go: "Second star to the right, straight on 'til morning." Kirk quoting Peter Pan there,

  23. I'm sort of that way myself, but only if it was a really amazing movie, or more typical in my case, game. I still haven't replayed Witcher 3 because I've got it almost all memorized. Then again, if you were to ask me to say, take out the trash I'll forget it 15 seconds after you said it. Drinking some hot chocolate. With Cointreau. It. Is. AMAZING!!!

  25. I did a thing! It's funny because it's Waukeen's Promenade combined with Queen's Berth. Oh, also, it does things. Check the mod page description, and then you can check in-game what each merchant sells, or check here. I added the file if you don't want to register at Nexus. I am open for suggestions as to things merchants should or shouldn't sell. Here's how it looks right now. Hunter (reagents) Osa (food ingredients, alcohol) Rebero (gems, jewelry, wardstones) Cobbler (various shady stuff, unguents and potions) Wanika (scrolls and tools)

  27. I agree that being able to craft a compass would be great. Also, managing thirst is slightly annoying. It's not terrible, but could be tweaked just a bit. Same for the day/night cycle. It's not bad, but it could be tweaked just a bit - make days a little longer and night a little shorter. (just a bit) Oh, one more thing... I've seen people complain about moving through clover.... it is a bug? Because honestly I haven't had any similar issues like that.

It's understandable that one can become frustrated - but don't take it out on Elric who's always been a very helpful member of this forum. The only thing that didn't make sense was this: I mean he's not going to get resurrected so usually it's enough to kill him once...

  30. After playing Grounded for 15+ hours, I have compiled a list of bugs/feedback/suggestions. Bugs Game breaking bug that happens in multiplayer. When multiplayers (not host) joins a game, sometimes they will be in an almost spectator mode where you can fly around the map and you lose your inventory when you relog. Player positions in multiplayer lag/glitch out. Oftentimes we will see each other running in place or not be able to see each other for several minutes until the issue resolves itself. Aphids get stuck on grass. This occurs when you either cut the grass or kill the

  31. Since the Grounded twitter page recently presented a question about who the "next new neighbor" should be, I think now would be a good time to suggest a fifth playable character. Perhaps a customizable character? The customization categories could be split into Gender, Head, Hair, Clothes, and Voice. Gender: Lets the player choose between a boy or girl. Determines which animations and body/clothing/armor models to use for the player character. Head: Could contain either sliders for specific face parts or preset face shapes. Perhaps both? Hair: Contains a selection of basic hairstyles. F

  32. I think all of your suggestions here are really good. I imagine that they will eventually either release a 5th (non-customizable) character or enable some customization features like you described. The reality is that there is a LOT of programming work involved just to implement the ideas you suggested. So it may come, but may take a while to get there.

  33. We use lures to attract bugs and lure them to our location. Why not make something similar but does the opposite. There should be a item we can craft to keep bugs away from a certain area and for a certain amount of distance. Bugs are spawning just about everywhere now. Areas like where the mysterious machine is located isn't safe anymore. I have came across orb weavers and a wolf spider the past few days lol. I was helping my friend who just started playing Grounded today with quests and we already ran into orb weavers, wolf spider and soldier ants. And didn't have any of the right equipment

  34. I’ve always had an odd affinity towards bugs and when I heard about grounded I was super excited! It has turned out to be the perfect survival game for me! I have a couple suggestions (mostly about new bugs to add) that I feel would greatly improve the game. The first suggestion is the ability to tame bugs, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s suggested this so I won’t go into detail. Now on to the bugs 1. Millipede the addition of large millipedes would be really cool. They could drop chitin which could be used to craft incredibly strong armor. However, since their exoskeleton is

  35. You can think about the possibility to add the split screen from the same console or pc to play the adventures of the Grounded. I think it would be an interesting feature to add and not just the possibility to play online with our friends. What do you think about this idea? Greetings.

  38. Doesn't explain why Deadfire sold bad. First one sold ok and it was a blast on Kickstarter. So were other games like Original Sin, Shadowrun and Wasteland series and others. Maybe there were external reasons not about the game itself? Did the first one delivered what was promised? Did Avellone leaving Obsidian and informing about how they treat employees played a part? Did the "inapropriate" joke removal from first game rubbed fans the wrong way?

  39. My keep even has a *chapel* I could send her straight to if she wanted. I was really hoping that would be an option!
    1 point
  40. Well the most annoying thing is that you (the player) have a stronghold / keep, instead of sending her out on the road after giving her a pat on her shoulder. Why not (if you are playing as a good character) allow her to stay there? Instead you send out the girl with no experience fighting or anything to go out and survive in the wild on her own. Considering how dangerous this world is, it feels like a evil choice.
