I recently made a mod to help with dialogue choices for the Watcher exclusive abilities: Easy Watcher Ability Choices. But I think it can be improved. You know how you can mouse over words, or when clicking on an item in conversation and you get the description? I was wondering if it is possible to link the six "... the Lost" abilities in the conversation with Eothas. My mod currently have a short text description, but ideally I want: 1. mouse over ability text in conversation: short description. 2. Clicking on ability in text: pop-up with ability description. I won't bother if it's too complicated, but since this functionality already exist for any ability normally I was wondering of the possibility.2 points

tl;dw Can't hang with the 4090 but it beats the more expensive 4080 more often than not in rasterization. Somewhat competitive with mild ray tracing but falls behind with heavy ray tracing.2 points

WRT paragraphs getting eaten, the techies haven't been able to pinpoint the cause. But, if you use shift+enter for linebreaks, it won't eat those. I too am a victim or I would have quoted you.2 points

It's educational, how else would you learn to catch the man. Apparently, that is on the Wing Commander Prophecy OST not the Front 242 version. For some reason I got that game's OST back in 2002, exposed me to such greats as KMFDM and Das Ich1 point

Love this idea, I got it to work like this: "I can't follow Eothas around if you're going to keep dragging my soul into the Beyond whenever the whim takes you." [<link="gamedata://cbfa7a85-cc0f-436d-8d8a-4b61332e5a15">MIG</link>]1 point

There is a pretty big probability, that some longer range missiles have entered the “game” in Ukraine, and might bring some change to the shape of battlefield, as hitting the Wagner HQ Melitopol with HIMARS would be considered very risky move. Two candidates so far, either Vilkha-M newest UA made missile, or some Turkish missile, which name has eluded me.1 point

Nah, different era is just an excuse to expand the MP crowd for more milking. Good quality SP games still sell like hot cakes in millions. It’s just less profitable for the stockholders1 point

I'm not expecting to love it even though I know KP said it was great, purely on the basis that I have not particularly enjoyed the couple of other things I've watched by del Toro. I'll give it a try, but... It's really awful.1 point

@BruceVC not wanting do derail it any further, but because you asked, New Caledonia is a prime example of what you are asking. Indigenous Kanak(?) people want independence from France, but they will probably never get it, due to French and other Caucasians have majority there.1 point

Yes, of course she is. She's also really terrible CGI when having to go somewhere or an obvious hand puppet, depending on the episode budget and the scene. The most hilarious part is, when she's a plush toy, she really is a plush toy. When Ami first sees Luna, she talks to her, and Usagi comes to Ami and says: "I saw you talking to my plushie."1 point

About half of those were genuine terra nullia and have no native population (Falklands, St Helena, Ascension, Pitcairn (and friends; natives died out before european discovery), South Georgia and South Sandwich). Most of them have devolved rule too, even Pitcairn and pals with its few dozen people. You can supplement that with Diego Garcia though, since the treatment of its native population- well within living memory- alone more than compensates for any claims of having left the colonial legacy behind. Even worse, they were depopulated specifically to benefit the US, not even the UK. Should also add that the 'some people' in the case of the Falklands amounts to literally three people out of near 2000 voters, according to the 2013 referendum.1 point

Watched second episode of 1899. The mystery deepens. The soundtrack is a bit anachronistic, but otherwise a very intriguing mystery so far1 point

I think this would be a great addition to the game to help with many builds. It would be even better if the half walls could go on the left half the right half and the middle two as well! Thoughts?1 point

Agreed. I remember playing my Necromancer and thinking D2 is okay but it's missing something. If only I could fork over some of my hard earned money to put a Santa hat on my Necromancer.1 point

Yeah, I do remember always thinking that the atmosphere of Diablo II would be so much more engaging if I could just spend a little more money on it, maybe buy a few skins and have the starting camp be full with idiots jumping about.1 point

2022-12-10 Popups will now "gray out" their parent dialogs and not just the main window. Improvements to Bundle Path selector: Existing files are now hidden when selecting where to create a new Conversation or Quest. Add labels to New File/Folder popups indicating which you clicked, e.g. "New .conversationbundle" New File button in the headerbar is moved to the left of the New Folder button for consistency with icons in the rows. Clicking the empty area to the left of the New File icon in the rows will no longer trigger the New File popup. Exception handling when a Conversation or Quest couldn't be loaded: If it's a "fixable" issue, a confirmation dialog will be displayed with the option to either apply the fix or close the tab. If it's not "fixable", a message dialog with the exception message will be displayed and the tab will close. Excplicit messages have been created for most FlowChart errors.1 point

I finished all my X-Mas present wrapping. With that done, I'm officially done with all the stressful (shopping) and tedious (wrapping) holiday stuff. Now, I'm going to drink 15 year old scotch.1 point

The mods and the loader are probably perfectly fine, but we're talking about my parents PC, and if anything goes wrong, it'll be me who has to solve the issues. I guess I could give him a VM to play around with. It also doesn't help that the mods are all hosted on these super stupid download sites that have ten "download" buttons on the page, of which elven link to ads of suspect repute and the button "continue" hides the actual download link. Looks like CurseForge has Minecraft support in its standalone version. The one that comes without the Overwolf framework. Well, it's not paranoia when they're really out to get ya, right? I guess that could work.1 point

The combat statistics for all the aircraft currently in use am having no idea how accurate the data is from the link. am only sharing the first entry so individuals may know how the data were shared. Smaller (and smaller payload), higher flying and longer range than the B-2 but I really want to get a look at the tail end. The B-2 already has "an RCS of 0.0001m2, the same as the F-22, the size of a bumble bee" so Im more interested in what theyve done to further minimize the B-21 IR signature. Love that its designed with unmanned capacity too.1 point

NOTE: POTENTIAL SPOILERS ITT. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. So I was reading through the CE strategy guide after I finished my playthrough, and I noticed there were a couple of things in Durance and GM's stories that I hadn't encountered, or even seen hinted at. Like, at all. One of them was pretty major, namely the reason that Grieving Mother is called as such (iirc it is implied in-game that she has forgotten herself, and not explored further). It's possible that I just somehow managed to pick the wrong conversation options or otherwise somehow not satisfied the requirements to get these stories, but being as I hadn't seen any hint of them at all, I thought I'd post here. The guide has this to say about Durance's character, and his internal conflict: Similarly, for the Grieving Mother: These characters' stories seem to have substantially changed between the time that the guide was written, and release (so, potentially fairly late in development). Here is a list of the things that I have found to be inconsistent with the story I experienced in my playthrough: In my playthrough, GM never made a comment about Durance, or vice-versa (although it would make sense that Durance would not initially address GM). In-game, Durance does not seem to initially be aware that his colleagues were killed. This is a revelation to him relatively near the end of the game. Grieving Mother is not blamed for the birth of Hollowborn children, but fears that she will be blamed, and her story is based around the steps she took to ensure that she would not be blamed. There are hints of ending the Hollowborn crisis causing "other problems", which was not implied in the final game. The fact that Durance's soul is damaged (and he is therefore undetectable to Magran) in-game would be totally explained by the fact that it was damaged by the GM. In the release version, Durance does not seem to be aware that his soul is damaged. I think it is explained by Durance saying that while the rest of his colleagues were killed by the Godhammer, he survived and his soul was only partially destroyed. There are no mention of GM's children in the game. This is the big one! Interestingly, I managed to dig up this interview with Chris Avellone before release. It's quite a long interview, so I'll quote the relevant part:1 point

I've been asked who wrote which companions a number of times recently. I'd held off answering because there was a chance that it was going to tie into some of our PR around launch time, but I believe that is no longer the case. So for those curious: Aloth - Carrie Patel Durance - Chris Avellone Edér - me Grieving Mother - Chris Avellone Hiravias - Matt MacLean Kana Rua - Olivia Veras Pallegina - Josh Sawyer Sagani - Carrie Patel1 point

Edér is my favourite party member. I loved his writing. He's someone with every right to be angsty, and he *is* a bit troubled by difficult questions, but on the whole he's incredibly laid back. He come across as a person worn smooth by life, like a stone in a riverbed. A very deep guy and very relaxing to be around. Refreshing accent to come across in a fantasy RPG too!1 point
-
I totally do. Dropped him from my party only occasionally to take Aloth for a side quest stroll so as not to make him feel abandoned. D: He actually me think that chanting was very important to their culture, to the extent that an ancient text could sway his entire nation in a different direction. They did have their fair share of scholarly debates, so he's not at all unbelievable.1 point

Me: What do you think about this place? Sagani: I'm from the polar south, the **** do I know about Dyrwood? Me: Okay, then.1 point

And I think that's wonderful. I personally do not get that vibe from him, but that's probably because I don't really argue with him. He's pretty much said that he'll set me on fire if I start going nutty, though. And I respect that. It's good to know that someone will stop me if I'm slipping. He also seems to be the companion with the most commentary as you run around. Even if you don't want to have him in combat, just run around Defiance Bay with him while you accumulate quests. This is true but it's also something I find mildly annoying. You can ask Kana Rua if he knows anything about the place you're in. You can ask Aloth what he thinks you should do next. You can ask Hiravias about his opinion on the other members of the group (lol @Grieving Mother). And honestly... you should be able to ask anyone all these questions. I want Edèr's input on where we are. I want to ask Grieving Mother what she thinks of the people of the group. I want to ask Durance what we should do next. These are pretty generic questions that should not be restricted so arbitrarily by companion.1 point
