@xzar_monty Same in Crimea Tatars and cities with Armenian minorities. Tatars are about 80% of all conscripted men fromCrimea. The Armenians are even more blantantly misused. In a city, which name I do not remember again, the are approximately 3% of the local demographics. But the conscripted men from this city are 90% Armenians.

I've seen the second video (and no, it really doesn't belong on these forums, so thank you for not posting it ). It all leaves you with that feeling, that the bulk of the Russian army is made up of uneducated thugs led by slightly educated but rotten to the core, corrupt crooks. Hence why you get all the seemingly unnecessary cruelty and brutality. Those young men didn't want to be in a war but got issued a gun and shipped off to a war zone. No leadership or direction (militarily or ethically), so they take it out on anything. The Ukrainian army, the Ukrainian people and each other too. It's a two edged sword, because if they had been a well led and well motivated force, Ukraine would not have suffered a lot of the civilian casualties, but they would also long since have been part of the Russian Federation again (even with Russian obsolete, meme worthy hardware).

I am running errands for people in Minas Tirith. I mean, sure there is a massive army camped outside, but these guys have a bet as to whether a chicken thrown from the top of the pier will get an updraft. I had to oblige. Plus Peregrin Took wanted to have a picnic. It's been delightful, although it also has some lag issues. I'm level 104 now. I also started a loremaster halfling, but I've been focused mostly on my Captain of Man.

Hey all, Long story short just lost a POTD TOI with the above modifications plus a heavy melee party: Eder: Swashbuckler damage (not the best damage dealer but he can be good if you invest the gear and he is sturdy) Xoti: SC Monk PC: Support Paladin (shieldbearer) Ranged damage Herald Lore Master damage/CC All of my POTD TOI losses are with a heavy melee party, if I go ranged heavy I usually win (so 1 tank, one off tank/melee and 3 ranged damage dealer. I feel that melee damage dealers get into a lot of trouble once the AI starts to target them, if I have strong tanks up front and all my damage dealers killing at range the AI does not want to disengage (I usually have strong disengagement damage dealers). Anyone have a ton of success with a melee heavy party on POTD?

For sure, I always take Ubreakable on the fighter multi main tank since I only play POTD TOI, it’s a safety blanket. I was just trying a Paladin SC with @Elric Galadmod so the group was a little unorthodox in that the main tank was really the Paladin and my fighter multi was a swash buckler damage dealer. I think I got greedy and tried to fit 3 damage slots in (which you can do but it’s less safe for TOI imo) If you run a support SC melee Paladin (with elrics mod) it’s not a bad tank but it’s not a fighter (for POTD). @masterty66 I think for your example my support Healing Paladin would take the place of the Druid (remember it’s elrics mod), most Exhortations except the Rez one are 1 zeal and you get a lot of heal options: LOH, Exalted Endurance, chain heal etc, Upgrade SI etc. If I run another tank in that group and maybe 3 ranged damage dealers that cascading issue of having to remove my melee dps from combat to save them and then the solo Paladin getting all the aggro would not happen. the only issue with mainly ranged damage dealers is no crush damage option.

one o' the more easily overlooked army campaign spells is good hope. is something wonky 'bout the math but am receiving more combat morale benefit than we should from good hope. wasn't until recent you could view your unit morale, so were difficult to gauge the impact o' combat morale, but being able to have units act 2x is a huge advantage. build monuments everywhere and cast good hope will, in act v, result in guaranteed double actions by your units. take a few o' those crusade enhancements such as the one you mention and good hope becomes unnecessary. HA! Good Fun!

I feel that the Sure-Handed Ila chant could use a bit of a nerf. I get the feeling that it was designed before the devs made recovery bonuses also affect reloading, and the current bonus for reloading weapons is a bit obscene, so much so that basically any sort of all gun/crossbow party can wreck everything as long as it has a chanter in it. I think a simple -25% recovery time (or even just -20%) for all ranged weapons would still be quite worth using without being obscenely powerful.

it is not at all busted in owlcat's wotr which includes every bit of cheese no living gamemaster would allow including owlcat mythic paths which is nothing like pathfinder. compare to pnp is not reasonable, particular when is ez to achieve +130 ac for your characters as well as +115 ab. is particular not busted as you were playing unfair. is right in the freaking name. again, the problem is how owlcat scales down. 115 bare deserves a shrug from Gromnir as long as we can prepare a level 20 party, but for somebody who did not literal spend hundreds o' hours on the beta and maybe only picked up wotr 'cause they kinda like crpgs, a normal or core run is gonna be unforgiving. on core, inevitable darkness has more than 90 ac. 115 doesn't shock or surprise us and poses no real problems as inevitable, much like playful, is a straight up melee combatant. in fact, inevitable is easier than playful darkness 'cause you fight inevitable at level 20 and mythic level 10. as such, inevitable is not broken at all 'cause it bare results in a meaningful challenge for a prepared player who knows every exploit. you don't have access to creeping doom? well, too bad for you. playful is much more difficult encounter 'cause is fewer options for overcoming such an obstacle at level 14ish and mythic rank 4. swarms are annoying, but there is a ring which makes things a whole lot easier... keep in mind for later. bane of spirit don't likely sound as if it is a swarm killer item, but your barbarian's weapon damage would affect swarms while the ring is activated. as such it is possible and not the least bit intuitive to make short work o' the swarms with a weapon-haver. also, while demonic swarms is immune to a whole lotta physical damage, those swarms are curious weak to unholy damage, so those six-per-day uses o' the devouring lust rod is a playing field leveler. cast your aoe elemental spells with the rod and watch swarms evaporate. HA! Good Fun! ps the secret of secrets encounter is unlikely to be stumbled on by accident but may be completed in act iii spoiler (am serious, this is a spoiler, so am suggesting not viewing until you finish act iii): is not an ez encounter if you have difficulty dealing with swarms.

Hmm. This tallies with my experience. I am fairly good but certainly not great. I would never laugh at 115 ac, for instance. Anyway, I was playing on Core. There were difficulties, sure. But I managed. Until I ran into Playful Darkness. I mean, sheesh. That one encounter taught me that I should have learned an awful lot of exploits I'd had no idea about before. (I turned the difficulty way down, in the end, and then up again, after that encounter.)

A friend of mine is a professor of linguistics but as it is specifically Slavic linguistics, he's fairly well aware of what's happening in Russia. He has just pointed out that unlike all other former colonial powers, Russia is still one and still going strong. Look at this: Yakutia (1 million inhabitants) has been ordered to mobilise 15 000 more people, as has Dagestan (3 mil). People from the Komi republic (just under 1 mil) report that nearly all men from rural villages have been ordered to mobilise, only children and the elderly are exempt. Conversely, Nizni Novgorod (4 million) and Sverdlovski (4.3 mil) need to mobilise less than 10 000 more people -- but these are Russian areas, and not even poor Russian areas. Think of "Siberia" as "Africa", a relatively sparsely populated area from which people other than Russians are mobilised in numbers that are out of proportion to how Russians themselves are mobilised. It is the job of the ethnic minorities to die for the Slavs.

To a considerable extent this is quite true, as sad as it is. However, despite the hypocrisy it is much better that "The West" does respond to Putin with the vehemence that it has responded with; the alternative would be much worse. I think Israel and the occupied territories, including East Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, muddles the whole UN and territorial integrity/legitimacy thing a bit, making it harder for the rest of the world to keep a straight face while making grand claims.... More clearly, Conductive Blast is really devastating with a ranger (especially with Avenging Storm, each hit from the ability cause 1 lightning and bounce with a lightning, an each hit and bounce can crit, causing Overload that cause one lightning and bounce with another lightning, and can also crit causing a new Overload (an new lightning) and bounce (with a lightning) etc. Xefa Empirical Explication can, with Driving Flight and Avenging Storm, create a lightning "cone", and with Whirling Strike and really good acc, it is like a Lightning Show. Of course, it is not the "explosion" that Hand Mortar make, but it is valuable : 4*2 bullets that can trigger 2 effects per bullet on crit that bounce and can create 2 new effects on crit that bouce etc with one lightning for each proc and bounce. The Watershaper Focus is also really great because of the modal, the +1 bounce, Driving Flight and so the 3 AoE that can proc some crit that trigger Backish Arc that bounce and can also crit, causing a new layer of Backish Arc, that bounce etc. Of course, witout Avenging Storm, that is not really impressive, but with it, that look like one of the most powerful weapon for ranger. * : about Shootist from Alcina Tricorn, that work also for most of the spells, and with the combinason of Sky Dragon Wurm (+3acc for >4m target), Boras (+5acc with Spells), Sagani Ressentiment (+2acc for >4m target), the wearer gain +15acc with spells. In this case of the wearer is the ranger, +15acc with weapon (+10 above + ring of the Marksman) and +15acc with Avenging Storm.

Yes, precisely, these are rather bitter points. It doesn't feel good to realize that the endemic Russian corruption, ineptitude, inefficiency, poor training, abysmal morale, terrible leadership and all the rest of it are good things. Ukraine would be long gone if it wasn't for all that.

Hahaha, you call it the same way. Plum Rakia is called Šljivovica/Шљивовица, which I imagine is very similar pronunciation to Śliwowica. In Serbian plum is Šljiva, pronounced the same way as in Polish minus the k.

I'm just curious if I'm missing a convo with Xoti/Teheku due to a bug, or if the devs just completely dropped the ball on this? To be honest, I’m really annoyed that the Gods being fake doesn’t come up more often in the story so I just wanna confirm that I'm not missing stuff due to all the bugs. So far, the only time I remember seeing it as a convo option is with Bearn. In POE1 the Gods being fake seemed like such a big deal. Thaos spent thousands of years murdering countless people to keep this secret. Iovara chose to die and be trapped for eternity rather than denounce the truth. The Engwithans chose to die out so that the secret would die with them. But now that we discovered this fact, we just... don’t really do anything with it? At first I thought the lack of options to bring it up may be an import bug if you chose in the first game to keep it a secret. I thought we were intentionally keeping it quiet and only realized it wasn’t a bug when I saw it was an option in your convo with Bearn. (BTW for those that did pick it, do any of your new companions being it up after???) I guess you can argue that there is no good time to bring it up with the faction leaders (which IMO just reinforces how irrelevant and disconnected the bulk of the game is from the main story), but why can’t I have this discussion with Xoti/Teheku? Why am I doing Thaos’ dirty work for him by not telling every single person I meet on the streets? Why can’t I bring it up to the Roparu when their suffering is directly related to the idea that the Gods will send their soul up the social ladder?? Why isn’t Pallegina yelling about it from the rooftops? She hates the Gods, so I expected her to be extra bitter cuz they are just constructs made by arrogant mortals. Why did I never see an option to mention it to the animancers? It just seems like such a huge oversight to me because my Watcher planned to expose this secret. I remember in the first game there being an option where you can say that people deserve to know (or something similar). If the devs decided not to open that can of worms the least they could have done is given you the option to mention it a few times, and then have the Gods tell you to stop or they will smite you. It would have been better than the game treating it like it was nothing.

Yeah this annoyed me a lot. Like sure I get why you can't shout it from the rooftops constantly, who would believe you? I don't get why you can't tell specific NPC's though even if they may not believe you there are very few options to ever bring it up. I can tell xoti that pallegina is right about the gods but I can't tell her why I think that and it's framed as taking sides rather than stating a fact. Parts of the roleplaying aspects of this game is built around whether or not you support the gods but not being able to bring up that very important fact removes a lot of the player's choice. If they didn't want to deal with the telling people thing yet they could have just had berath threaten your life if you did or something?

You know the funniest part? You can have a conversation about the gods not being real with Aloth while other party members are listening. They react to other parts of your conversation, but ingore this one. Better yet, at one point Eothas himself says that the gods are artificially created and used to be mortal Engwithans right to the party's faces. Aaaaand... nothing. I can understand not being able to run around Neketaka telling everyone, people will probably think you are crazy anyway. But the way our companions just ignore Eothas dropping this info bomb seems like super lazy writing.

Yeah. This was a huge let down. I was expecting this would what the main quest would tackle, and while it sort of did, it was very very very unsatisfying. This was why I dragged Xoti along with me everywhere. After that event in the dig site where she tries to harvest souls but there are none because her god sucked them all up, I was like, "Oh yeah this is getting good, just you wait Xoti I am going to break your world!" But no, that never happened. I guess the Watcher just doesn't really care and in is the camp of, 'well they are effectively gods, so what's the big deal if they were manufactured?', as evidenced by them just chilling in their keep for 5 years after the big reveal. So basically the direction of this game kinda made POE's big reveal (which it failed at executing) pointless. Iovara died for nothing.

I recently got this game - I had been waiting for it for quite some time because the concept is absolutely brilliant. I was hesitant, because Obsidian's track record isn't exactly amazing... but I thought a company would get better and better. Also, there really aren't many companies so dedicated to RPG's for PC... so I wanted to support Obsidian. I never blamed Obsidian for the shortcomings of KOTOR II and still found the game brilliant. Alpha Protocol is one of the most poorly executed games I've ever owned. Aside from the RPG elements, it's a complete FLOP as a 'shooter' experience. I'm so severely let down by this title - it feels like it got rushed out the door half-baked which is so incredibly sad because I think it could have been phenomenal. Either way, that's the last game I buy from Obsidian. It's no surprise the game sold so terribly and there won't be a sequel. Really a shame... but I'd be a fool to purchase another game developed by this company.
