"Not only will America go to your country and kill all your people. But they'll come back 20 years later and make a movie game about how killing your people made their soldiers feel sad" Be interesting to see if the game starts with some neanderthal from the 82nd using a .50 cal for crowd control, somehow I doubt it.5 points

He is not a troll, though, and his response to your original post was quite justified, even if it was harsh. If you read your original post again, you should be able to notice that it is not particularly reasonable: it is petulant, right down to the vocabulary you use (feces, grey and boring, boring weakling, etc.). You can be mightily dissatisfied with Obsidian's approach, and there's nothing wrong with that, but if you choose the tone you chose, you can't really complain if others think you're quite childish.3 points

I actually found a leaked footage of Avowed. It seems to be set further into the future in some kind of dystopian setting. VO needs a bit of work though.3 points

I bought a 5800X directly from the AMD website this morning. We'll see if it actually ships. I'll have to actually buy a motherboard and RAM if it does...I already have a case and PSU. Don't particularly love spending this much on a CPU, but as I use my CPU way more than my GPU (and my builds tend to last for ~5 years), it it did make sense to get it. Honestly, Intel CPUs make a lot more sense in terms of price/performance right now...the i7-10700k is 95% of the CPU for $100 less, but I figure I'd probably mostly make up the difference in electricity bills over the next five years, . Will be replacing an i7-4700k. Not looking forward to buying 32 GB of DDR4, but alas, 32 GB is the minimum for me these days.2 points

US budget deficit to exceed $2.3 trillion for 2021 The government spending deficit exceeds the rate of growth. Our economy is expanding against all reason or odds but it really isn’t because we’re going to be a negative growth for government spending. Oh and by the way in case anybody wonders why “nothing“ cost $48,000 per coin, this is why. this is also why gold is trading for double it’s real world value. Tick tock tick tock....2 points

There are plenty of extremely overpowered builds left - but since you chose to post in a 5-year-old-is-pissy way I don't feel particulary inclined to share them with you.2 points

I bought and played Valheim, but the graphics turned me off. They are kind of bit mapped. It just seemed like a less attractive Conan, to be honest. I refunded it quickly. But I might be a graphics whore. I picked up Imperator Rome for some bucks. It seems interesting and complicated. I don't understand how to fight people. I'm like come at me bro and they are like naw.2 points

The manga features a whole bunch of them. Like Ceres. Well now that that's out of the way, have a look at the title of the next episode. It's all spoilery and you're immediately going to see it anyway once you start watching.2 points

Ah, reminds me of the underwater sandstorm of Conan Exiles Mostly playing Cyberpunk 2077. Think I've done all the major quests I had left (so the ones that aren't Gigs, or just NCPD markers), barring finishing up the Kerry quest chain. Whoever calls this game short must've been skipping most of the side content because I'm 118hours (and 51minutes) in according to Gog, and there's still plenty of Gig and NCPD markers to go around. The way I played is basically by not manually skipping time, ever. I did use the "wait here" feature of certain quests, and I did sleep a few times (a V's gotta sleep) but instead of skipping forward to force quest triggers I just did side content/exploration in the meantime. This way the "major" content is mostly nicely spread out so the side quests don't start feeling like too much of a slog. Still, the game could have done with some additional meaty quests, especially once you complete the Johnny quest chain there was really very little left except for Gigs to stay busy until the next stage triggered for the like two quests that unlock after. Anyway, at this point I'm mostly just putting off pushing towards the ending, since, given the rest of the game, I doubt any of the endings will end up being particularly cheerful... So let's attempt some predictions about the endings based on what I know:2 points

Shoot a man on 5th Avenue, I could. Be fired, I would not be. While true, if you reversed the positions and looked at liberals who compare conservatives to nazis they certainly don't get fired for it. If they did the unemployment rate in the US would skyrocket.2 points

Hey guys, The idea of creating this topic is so that we can give suggestions that are grouped and easy to find. If we have a concentrated topic of information and supporting new ideas, it is easier to mobilize producers to add the ideas 1. New fruit trees for the backyard: With the new fruits, it will be possible to extract sugar, peels and food. Thus it will be possible to create bombs, traps and materials to change the colors of the base and model of the backpacks. It will also be possible to create new items of ornaments (furniture, pictures and clothes) 2. New plants and flowers in the yard The possibility of adding other types of flowers that can be useful for creating clothes, backpacks, paints and insect traps. In addition to being used in some armor. It would be interesting to have new types of grass and new plants that provide us with stems. 3. Chance of climate change The temperature was colder at night. There were rainy and hot periods. Thus, clothes and heating for each climate would be necessary. with rain it is necessary to be able to create new items for displacement and protection in the yard. In addition to strong winds that can topple the base or cause damage. 4. New insects and animals Predators that have their own location and times. Be common in hot or rainy weather, day or night. For example: Small frogs, common at night, next to the logo and which are more common when it rains. From it we can use leather to make armor, the tongue to make rope or a better bow, gladula to make bombs and arrows and food. Scorpion, common near stones and woods. Predator of insects such as flies, ****roaches, crickets, grasshoppers, rats and rival of the Spider Wolf and Mantis. We can take his armor bark from him, tweezers to make spears and daggers, legs to make chairs, tables and climbing hooks. Praying Mantis, strong and aggressive predator. Common on top of plants. In addition to flying for short spaces, he can climb the base and other places. Two more new types of ant camponotus and Solenopsis richteri. A common ant in trees and wood, ideal for expanding the scenery and another very good for creating new colonies. Sometimes the 03 species of ant in the game war with each other and with other animals in the game. Important candles collect grasses, petals and foods that fall in the garden. Crickets, great prey for spiders, scorpion and mantis. Also a challenge kills them since they can defend themselves with jumps. From it we can collect the legs, head and meat. With it we can create a new ax, helmet, climbing hook. Grasshoppers, great prey for predators. Flying and jumping insect like cricket. It is bigger and more aggressive. It is common to see him eating grass and leaves. The base is constantly attacked by him. ****roaches, release an odor that scares your predators (or not). It is aggressive and common around the house and woods. Night and day butterflies, Constantly flying in the yard. Food for predators. From it we can collect the Wings, legs, head and flesh. Dragonflies, common in puddles in the backyard. Food for predators. From it we collect wings, legs, head and meat. Earthworms and centipedes, common underground and present in rotten tree trunks. Termites, common in woods in the garden. Ants rival. Extremely aggressive 5. New fish and aquatic animals New species of large and small fish, possibility to find fish eggs in the lake. The lake becomes more difficult and hostile with frogs, fish and a more lively and aggressive biome. Water spiders and leech, present in other places in the garden that have water 6. New species of birds hummingbird, present in the place of flowers. Aggressive and fast. sparrow, flying through the yard and making nests. Their eggs, feathers and feces are easily found. Insect predator 7. New weapons and armor Possibility of creating new weapons such as ax, ropes, daggers, spear arrows, crossbows, swords, mallets, hammers, bombs and traps. Creation of armor such as cricket helmets, scorpion armor, fins with parts of fish, ****roach or bedbug perfume, ant perfume. Harpoon and rope, ideal to be used in the lake for hunting. 8. New clothes and models of backpacks. With new flowers and fruit trees, as well as other insects and birds, it will be possible to create clothes for the climate, in addition to just changing the look. Create backpacks with models of insects, fruits and feathers and with different colors. 9. New items Extract oil from nuts and petals. Extract sugar from fruits. Parts of new insects. New foods thrown in the garden. 10. New buildings Parachutes built from parts of butterflies and other insects. Hang Gliders, created from the wings of dragonflies and feathers, as well as other parts of insects. Scaffolding to be used in zip lines. Thus it will be possible to transport resources throughout the yard. Vertical scaffolding, to automatically climb ridges to the highest part of the building. Canoes, should be used on rainy days and move around the lake. Useful for hunting fish and other animals in the backyard that lives in the water. 11. Grounded fixes. The fish armor, being made of bone and scale, must be the toughest in the game. Insects and animals must have their exact location in the yard, however it must be common to walk elsewhere. Reason, make nests, own and hunt prey. Aggressive insects must attack other insects, as well as having their prey eaten. Be common insect fight in the yard.1 point

I love to play Grounded! Its a great game with a lot of life left in it! Unfortunately, for a few reasons, I primarily play alone. I have found the addition of the helmet light to be extremely valuable, as now I can venture into the dark scary tunnels by myself. I used to have to wait for a friend to get online and be available to come into the game and help me by carrying a torch or combatting whilst I carried the torch. In my time playing alone, I have had a lot of opportunities to say "dang.. I really wish I could ________". So here are a couple of the thoughts I have had. 1. Hauling contraptions- it would be amazing to have a wagon that we could build. This would allow us to haul even more materials. If there is one thing that keeps me from playing this game more, is the thought of logging into a game world where I have blueprints needing finished, but I just cannot stomach the thought of the monotonous back and forth hauling of materials. I DO NOT WANT TO PLAY ON CREATIVE- but I am creative with my base builds and like to put them in crazy places. I have been working on a base atop the concrete structure sitting on the outer edge of the Koi Pond- and the process of getting planks and stems to that area is just crazy. The ant armor and workers comp smoothie are great for short hauls. However, for longer treks or for tasks that need LOADS of materials, it really doesn't make a difference to the point that it is mostly moot. Having a hauling contraption in the game would save the player on build time and allow them to play more of the game. The game already has material stacking for the grass and stem pallets. In essence, this would be the same thing, only with wheels and a handle. The wagon idea could be arranged so that there are individual grass and stem wagons. The wagon, for instance, could be a reward from a burgle chip. The base wagon could be built using items already in game. 40 spider silk rope 10 plant fiber rope 6 wooden stems 4 acorn tops 3 grass planks Beginning with a Hauling cap of 12 or so, the wagon could be further upgraded to allow for hauling of greater capacities. A tiered upgrade system would be best. Level 1- 12 cap upgrade with berry leather and more rope Level 2- 14 cap upgrade with more grass planks, berry leather, and rope. Level 3- 16 cap upgrade with more stems, planks, leather, rope. Level 4- 20 cap upgrade with Koi Scale, sunken bone fragments, clay, stems, planks, leather, rope. Of course, these are just suggestions from the top of my head. I would suggest that the wagon be a item that a player would have to work to upgrade over time. Not something we could just throw together. Albeit, if it were implemented with my suggestions above, I could easily already have 2 built and fully upgraded. haha 2. Farming- Slightly related to the reasoning for the wagon- It would be amazing if we could plant grass and dandelion/weed seeds in areas where we would like the resources to be. The seeds, comparative to the size of our adventurers, would be fairly hefty. This would mean that we could only transport 1 - 3 seeds at a time, possibly by carrying them in our hands, rather than in our backpacks. In areas where some grass or stems aren't naturally available, it is difficult to source materials for bases. This does cause a huge time sink, and understandably so. However, in some cases, it is just completely beyond reality to transport to these locations. Some areas feature grass, but no harvestable stems. Other areas feature harvestable stems, but no grass. My thought would be to allow us to build tools (hoes/tillers) to clear out small patches of land where we could place down a garden. these gardens could temporarily grow 1 or 2 crops of materials that we can then harvest, use, and possibly plant more- creating a loop. Once the garden is operable, the garden could possibly drop limited numbers of seeds that allow us to plant immediately without having to harvest more seeds from far away. or not. The addition of farming doesn't have to stop at materials for building. We could also place other plants in our gardens for many different purposes. Flowers or plants of different types to attract certain insects. (Tulips/Roses for Bees, Clover for aphids (aphids attract ladybugs)) Flowers or plants of different types to repel certain insects. (Spiders, Mosquitos, Ants) Vegetables to be used for food. (New foods!) Nectar plants to use for drinks/smoothies. (New drinks!) I hope these suggestions are taken seriously. I think the addition of either, or both, would be a great benefit to the game!1 point

Indeed. Man I despise that behavior. How can anybody start a conversation that way? Especially if one wants help or information? It's like entering the soup kitchen and yelling "Ok suckers I know your soups suck ass but gimme the best you have - but pronto!". What type of character does that? I would reckon the chances to get good soup or info significantly drops once you come off as a douche right from the start. Interesting thing about the ignore list is that everybody else can still read how you get a good scolding for childish behavior - and other users can still quote the ignored user. The ignoring user will still see those quotes. It's a weird implementation and nowhere near a blocking function like with Twitter where you can just exclude somebody from your thread. Edit: Funny - now I could just go and share all that overpowered stuff but OP wouldn't be able to see it, hehe. I mean unless somebody quotes me of course.1 point

I dont mean to be deliberately controversial but their were 2 main battles for the control of Fallujah and these were absolutely legitimate battles to ensure the stabilization of Iraq and to free Iraq from various sects and groups linked to Islamic extremism https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Battle_of_Fallujah https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Battle_of_Fallujah I watched the marketing video and its accurate. Even if the Blackwater contractors hadnt been killed Fallujah would still have become a battleground because it had become a city where sectarian groups had invested resources and people into it and were prepared to make a stand So the purpose of this game is not what Zora said, he is mischaracterizing the reasons for the battles of Fallujah and how we should reflect on them Their are not enough games about the Iraq invasion and years that came afterwards. I will definitely consider buying this game once I have read reviews and peoples comments because it is no different to other FPS based on historical events and battles1 point

It isn't happening the other way though. This isn't McCarthyism for Conservatives. She isn't going to go to jail for comparing liberals to Nazis. She lost her job on a kid's TV show. As for liberals not being held responsible for their actions, I'd imagine Colin Kaepernick would beg to differ. Kathy Griffin also crossed a line. Honestly though it just isn't as simple as 'conservative = bad, liberal = good'. Hollywood is super weird. How the heck does Mel Gibson still have a career?1 point

We were talking basic necessities: rent, medicine and groceries. Groceries aren't much of a problem currently, but with massive trading on futures contracts, the risk is there that a bubble could happen. Jury's still out on whether speculators contributed to the 2008 food crisis, but it's pretty clear that they didn't do what speculation is classically supposed to do: reduce volatility and hedge against price spikes. So either set price controls on staples to discourage trading above a certain point, or re-introduce regulations that stopped excessive speculation. I brought up pharma profits because it's the most egregious example of a market sector in need of regulation. I feel this is so self-evident that going again is beating a dead horse: prices in the EU are regulated, whereas they aren't in the US. Compare treatment prices for stuff like leukemia, MS, and other chronic diseases. And somehow, pharma business is still incredibly profitable in Europe. But this has an even darker side -- it's more profitable to focus research on treatment of a select few chronic problems than diversify and try to find cures for the as many diseases as possible because you can keep patients on meds indefinitely and there is no limit on what you can charge for drugs. And lastly, mortgages. Mortgages aren't owned by individuals or small businesses -- they are owned by banks, and bundled and resold on the derivatives markets to investment funds (yes, banks and funds also make trillions). Unlike small proprietors for whom owning an empty house can make no financial sense, big players can suck up these "losses" to keep market prices artificially inflated. You are right that interest rates influence rent prices, but interest rates on mortgages have remained constant or declined, contrary to what the end user is seeing in many places: a housing bubble. So it turns out that low interest rates actually benefit these big traders because leverage works to their advantage, but it's also in their interest to keep prices high. Much like futures contracts, they have no intention of ever taking possession of the good being traded, it's simply an investment vehicle to be endlessly recirculated. Again, the goal is not to force your pops to make peanuts on rent from the apartment he bought thirty years ago -- it's to stop speculation by market players who don't give a **** about what they are buying or selling, just RoI, on stuff that people need to, like, not die from exposure.1 point

There was a time when a cabman was a very buoyant occupation. And introducing automobiles was met with apocalyptic visions of mass unemployment... and it didn't happened. There will be new jobs and old jobs will evolve. People are creative that way. In my lifetime I saw completely new jobs emerge and old obsolete jobs dissapear. Sometimes both of those apply to the same occupation. Just as I would never predict such a job as Web Developer existing when I was young I cannot predict what new jobs will emerge in the future. I guess we will get away from physical labor. And seeing the young generation kids age 5,6 using complicated technology with ease from that young age I don't fear that people will not catch up with technology.1 point
