Crackpot theories on COVID-19 are mutating faster than the virus itself.2 points

find an excuse to blame on media or blame on party? relevance? once again, penguin chicks is just as relevant and more adorable, so enjoy. virus don't care 'bout stoopid partisan politics or conspiracy theories regarding the media. oh, and as a fiscal conservative who votes republican better than 80% of the time when is dem v. pub, @Gromnir with democrats suck too kinda stuff is rather pointless. Harvard wants students to move out in 5 days in bid to 'de-densify' campus over coronavirus HA! Good Fun! ps for decades we has been accused o' being borderline ocd 'bout handwashing. worked at a juvenile detention facility for a few years and there were always some disease or parasite issue to be concerned 'bout while in contact with dozens o' kids per unit in less than ideal circumstances. got in the habit o' washing hands frequent and were told we should do so for ~ 1 minute as 'posed to current 20 second guideline. morning ablutions. before meal prep. after meal. bathroom. etc. only takes a disease scare to make our crazy behavior mainstream? makes us wonder what it will take to normalize our other fringe behaviours. maybe the next threat o' pandemic or near-miss by a planet killer asteroid will have folks buying classic buicks or adopting multiple pound dogs? seems less likely.2 points

Its a spin on an old knock knock joke: Knock, knock. Who's there? Banana. Banana who? Knock, knock. Who's there? Banana. Banana who? Knock, knock. Who's there? Orange. Orange who? Orange you glad I didn't say "Banana"?2 points

So, let's see here. Over the last few days: The stock market has crashed Bond yields have crashed People are being locked up without being arrested. Yeah, yeah, "quarantined" whatever. There are shortages of drugs There are shortages of medical supplies There are shortages of toilet paper, bottled water, non-perishable food There is an actual black market for hand soap and sanitizer where a $2 bottle sells for $100. That one really surprises me! The medical system is overwhelmed and can't take care of everyone Don't you guys see what happening here? This is a Bernie Sanders test run! This is Beta version Bernie! A preview of coming attractions! Oh c'mon... that was funny! I see you out there frowning at your laptop/phone screen.2 points

If BG3 has cheesey and terrible writing with similar breadth of content as DOS2, then it will be a clear successor to BG2. Stuff like the neurotic romances, getting railroaded into rescuing a good npc, and most of the companions was trash and BG2 got by on it's breadth of content more than it did the sloppy writing or clumsily ported 2e mechanics.2 points

I checked the convo files and it turns out that it's decided by global variables (n_Watcher_Ability_X_Aggressive, n_Watcher_Ability_X_Sassy and n_Watcher_Ability_X_Diplomatic) and won't necessarily correspond with Disposition icons! (Though they can be good indicators.) tl;dr is that you need at least 3/2/4 responses of your flavor of choice after Port Maje/Hasongo/Magran's Teeth, respectively. You then get the ability based on which flavor count is highest. If two flavors share the same count, Diplomatic takes precedence, then Sassy and last Aggressive. So you have to look out for other flavors as well. Post Port Maje Ire of Death's Herald (Might) : At least 3 Aggressive responses, more than Sassy and Diplomatic ones. Wit of Death's Herald (Intellect) : At least 3 Sassy responses, more than Diplomatic and not fewer than Aggressive. Mien of Death's Herald (Perception) : At least 3 Diplomatic responses and not fewer than Aggressive and Sassy. Post Hasongo + Might : At least 2 Agressive responses, more than Sassy and Diplomatic ones. + Intellect : At least 2 Sassy responses, more than Diplomatic and not fewer than Aggressive. + Perception : At least 2 Diplomatic responses and not fewer than Aggressive and Sassy. Post Magran's Teeth + Might : At least 4 Agressive responsesand more than both Sassy and Diplomatic ones. + Intellect : At least 4 Sassy responses, more than Diplomatic and not fewer than Aggressive. + Perception : At least 4 Diplomatic responses and not fewer than Aggressive and Sassy.2 points

governments forcing this kinda model onto a business owner = bad the capitalist voluntarily choosing a more egalitarian business model which allows employed to not only survive but prosper = good am not sure what is the genuine basis o' rush limbaugh's concerns, but we do recognize it could be more difficult to retain particular capable employees if you got a less flexible compensation scheme. is there enough qualified people willing to potential work for less if is for a perceived good cause? regardless, am less concerned than am hopeful. HA! Good Fun!1 point

Hay everybody I have decided to make myself a total overhaul of the portraits in Deadfire, since I've probably played though already most of the vanilla characters. Here comes to say that all these five threads of your shared work came superbly handy in this task! Moreover I'd like to explicitly thank to the guys/gals who share their own artwork for us to enjoy! The total overhauling was not exactly the easiest task and I would not say that it is perfect or anything close, but it is quite playable for its own creator, aka - me. If you want to check my gallery: here is a pic(huge) of what it looks like, all in all 115 changed images. I am not exactly sure how many of these images you've seen made on character avatars before, but the way I collected them all was one quite broad searching experience, so I guess that there will be some new finds for any one of you here. There you go, if you feel the urge to dig something that caught your interest - all the files(thou no watercolor used, DIY if necessary). There is an option to just replace the folder with your native one, however be sure to backup any files, in case you get fuzzy about your decision. Thank you sweerhearts and see you later1 point

Seventh Update: Iacchus, the Pale Elf Wizard - Randomly Generated Party Challenge, PotD Before entering the Temple of Eothas, I made my first item purchase: A Blunting Belt for Raiden. Downstairs, I first dealt with a couple of whisps and spiders before running into a skuldr group, including on of their kings. I had forgotten about this encounter, and with Raiden being at about half of his health due to previous spider battles, I decided to have him block of the entrance into the room while my druid and the wizards started spamming their most powerful nukes - Raiden even joined in with his own Fan of Flames scroll: As Surya defeated the Skuldr King with a Talon's Reach, I was quite sure that being very aggressive with spells at this point was the right choice, considering Raiden almost dropped into the red despite the battle being rather short: After resting, we ventured down to level 2. When fighting smaller groups of spirits, we usually just engaged with Raiden while the others used their per-encounter abilities: However, dealing with the larger shade/shadow groups required a different approach. Not confident that Raiden could even stand for long against the shade's cold damage, I decided to start off with Iacchus himself tanking via Hardened Veil - this also gave him the opportunity to cast Fans of Flame without hitting any party members. Adding Combusting Wounds and Burst of Summer Flame into the mix, a few shadows were dropping quickly. As our enemies started teleporting around, everyone already had their melee weapons and shields prepared, and with the addition of a Parasitic Staff and some shapeshifting, the remaining shades didn't stand a chance: After resting and fighting through more spirits and oozes, I made it to the second group with shades. This one turned out to be a bit more difficult. I once again first engaged with Iacchus and his Veil, but my positioning wasn't great, with party members blocking each other and the spirits starting to teleport much earlier. While Numitor was able to protect himself with his own Veil and Aurora was able to stay out of trouble, Surya was without protection and got knocked unconscious. I quickly realized that I had to go all out, and luckily, both of my wizards were in a good position to cast their nukes: After the weaker enemies were taken down, Eldritch Aim + Parasitic Staff was enough to defeat the stronger shades: I did have to rest again (I picked up some camping supplies on level 1 after my first rest down here), this time going for accuracy against wilders for those who had enough survival, preparing to face the big skuldr group with two kings. Using the chokepoint, everyone was positioned behind Raiden in a line, providing equal access to the enemy backline. Throwing in spells like Chillfog, Combusting Wounds, Dancing Bolts, Burst of Summer Flame and Iconic Projection after a few buffs (mostly Inspiring Radiance and Eldritch Aim, as I forgot to cast Blessing) was enough to quickly end things in our favor: As you can see, I decided to equip Raiden with Gaun's Share for now. No deflection bonus, but better damage and healing. Next up is Caed Nua.1 point

Ah. I don't think that. PoE sold significantly more copies (like three times as many? Correct me if I'm wrong) and I guess that the number of "multiple copies" pledges wasn't that significant. And even so: if you took one of those tiers you would have pledged more money than for a single copy, wouldn't you? So I believe that the sales numbers cannot be inflated that way.1 point

If you get Leviathans, Utopia, Synthetic Dawn, Distant Stars (most of these for the extra events and "story" beats) you should be good. Haven't gotten Ancient Relics and Federations isn't out yet so can't comment on those. I don't know if the extra songs are in patches or if you need the DLC for them but SD is worth it just for the music: Then again the whole OST is amazing.1 point

no reasonable sane person should believe what the current US administration is saying regarding an emergency. we got the sharpiegate President who, previous to coronavirus outbreak in china, had already shut down the nsc pandemic response officer and support staff while keeping cdc appointments understaffed by more than 700. the President lies 'bout everything from windmills to the ukraine and anything in-between. had senior cabinet members telling the nation the US, insofar as being protected from the current novel corona outbreak containment were, "pretty close to airtight." were temporal proximate to washington outbreak. even with senior health officials reacting to news in china by trying to get work on a vaccine started months ago (good news,) the administration were reluctant to take advice and obvious steps needed to increase testing capacity, which is kinda essential to controlling any kinda outbreak. the diamond princess repatriation were bungled. etc. good news is while trump blathers on and misleads, we still got guys such as anthony fauci working on the issue. wall street shut down for 15-minutes today as the markets cratered dramatic. caution: am not suggesting people should panic. given the extreme measures to which china has gone to try and contain their outbreak, it is difficult to dismiss this as much ado about nothing. China May Be Beating the Coronavirus, at a Painful Cost even so, there isn't much benefit in losing collective bladder control. sure, buy a few supplies in case you gotta self-quarantine, but otherwise, go 'bout ordinary business 'cause there is not much you can do other than obvious stuff to avoid getting sick or inadvertent spreading. oh, and Americans is poor suited to deal with this kinda sickness in any event, particular after the recent recession. more workers than at anytime in recent decades is day gig-- literal cannot afford to self-quarantine. low-income folks who have full-time jobs is notoriously underprotected by their sick-day policies. also, Americans has always been stoopid 'bout working while sick. have had this debate previous 'bout how irresponsible it is to come to work if you genuine believe you got the flu, but most 'o us, at one time or another, has done so. ... and Americans is just plain stoopid and obtuse at times. US is not china, so is hardly practical to be locking down whole cities and states if it is deemed necessary at some point. got more than a few folks who is gonna see any such government efforts as conspiracy ladden fodder and the inevitable precursor to a full scale attack on their personal liberties-- next thing you know, they will be coming for your guns. *insert eye-roll here* oh, and more than a few self-quarantined genius Americans were managing by ordering takeout, 'cause person-to-person contact with the delivery guy who is gonna make a dozen or so additional stops before the end o' his shift doesn't count? so not prepared, but that doesn't mean there will be an actual problem. is no way to know, but perhaps the coronavirus does behave as does the flu and we get a few months respite starting april. sure, would likely be back in october/november, but extra time would be a boon. am hopeful projected lethality decreases as testsing increases. Gromnir personal has advantage o' being retired, so self-quarantine is not a big deal for us to swing. *shrug* regardless, not prepared is a good assumption, particular with a sharpiegate President who lies 'bout... everything. HA! Good Fun!1 point

I just don't think The Outer World was very interesting. I think it has potential, but right now it's shinier and less developed Fallout: New Vegas, and I would see no need to ever return to, if not for the DLC. Fallout 1&2 are games to which I return every few years and can have a fresh playthrough and discover new things. Really? I clocked in 45 hours and can't recall a single interesting character or story bit. Lack of any coherent story development was what made my leave it. There a mildly funny bit every once in a while, but that's about it.1 point

I recommend you ascendant/ghost heart with bear pet (the pet can become a burden sometimes). Elf with 19mig/dex/per, 15int, 3con/res (if you feel confident) or 19per,15mig/dex/int, 11con,3res if you want to be a little sturdier and background Scientist/Mystic/Scholar. For bows you have Frostseeker (main weapon) and Essence Interrupter (second weapon). (Veil Piercer and Aamina's Legacy are also worth mentioning because they can give better results in some fights. ) For the rest: - armor - High Harbinger Robes/Fleshmender/Changeling's Mantle - head - Acina's Tricorn/Thaos' Headdress (Horns of the Aurochs*) - neck - Torc of the Falcon's Eyes/Charm of Bones/Elewys' Locket - back - Three Trolls Stiched (Rekvu's Scoarched Cloak*) - rings - Ring of the Marksman + Ring of Prosperity's Fortune/Chameleon's Ring - belt - Sash of Judgement (Belt of Magran's Chosen*) - boots - Boots of the Stone/Footprints of Ahu Taka - pet - Harley * Using Frostseeker will summon very often a fire elemental if you wear the Belt of Magran's Chosen. If you have Rekvu's Cloak activated the elemental will heal you instead and also give you another 10% cold dmg (Horns of the Auroch). The fire elemental can be used also to buff yourself (Borrowed Instinct, Body Attunement, Wild Leech...) For skills pick metaphysics (For Essence Interrupter) and arcana (for Avenging Storm). For abilities Eyestrike+Marked Prey, Lingering Echoes, Fast Runner, Marksman, Biting Whip, Two Handed Style, Phantom Foes, Hammering Thoughts, Evasive Roll, Marked for the Hunt, Psychovampiric Shield, Pain Block, Protective Companion, Stalker's Link, Resilient Companion, Driving Flight, Borrowed Instinct, Tough, Tactical Meld, The Empty Soul, Survival of the Fittest, Improved Critical, Disintegration, Echoing Horror, Evasive Fire, Ancestor's Memory.1 point

This is key, and the ultimate source of all my discontent. Everything in the game that I don't like ultimately seems to go back to MP. The game seems to me to be designed and built firstly for MP, where all major design decisions have been made with MP in mind first and foremost. Yes one can play the game SP, but MP is how one is *supposed* to play it. And that is a problem for me, maybe even a deal-breaker.1 point

I'm expecting a September/October window. To capitalize on Halloween. Though being an immersive sim, they might want to get out of the gates before 2077, and not so close to the Holiday window. They need to not make the same mistake of releasing on top of another bigger release. They clearly realized release when a Half-Life is launching is a death kiss.1 point
