She was a Skaen Priest in PoE1 but ended up losing her faith in her God. She is an Aristocrat from a royal family that was murdered. Since I don't see any evidence of a human Kingdom there, I changed her to a raider for PoE2. She became a Skaenite because she believed her family was oppressed... Yes, I know, first world problems. I imagine her as something like Arya Stark from Game of Thrones. Maybe she is hiding her past and pretending she was a raider before. This conversation from PoE1 was the last straw regarding her faith (Spoilers for Aristocrat Skaen Priest): So now she is just an Assassin.

And everytime I level her up I forget to check which spells are in her grimoire...

My guess is that she would be their first choice for a new companion, unless it's an entirely new one related to one of the dlcs.

I do confess that I check a few things here and there, like what companions are romanceable, for example. And I did take a look at that spreadsheet. But I sticked to my initial plan of playing a pirate and using my character from PoE1.

I had some difficult battles on Veteran, but nobody was knocked unconscious yet. What is your party composition? It can make a huge difference. I have an Assassin (Watcher), a Brute (Rekke), A Sorcerer (Fassina), a Cipher (Serafen) and the last spot has been changing (Chanter, Wizard most of the time).

Does that mean Ukaizo's a conduit for Stormlight between the cognitive and physical realm? Is animancy the study of Investiture? THERE'RE SO MANY POSSIBILITIES HERE! also, inb4 the gods turn out to be some weird shard offshoot Or a Shard comes to show what a "real god" looks like.

And / or a 'flog the trouble-makers' option...plus keel-hauling, or walking the plank... It would be cool if there were more ways to end combat, like: - Pretend to surrender - Challenge the enemy captain to a duel on a beach, 1 on 1 - Try to attract the enemy to a storm or some reefs - Pretend to be an abandoned ship (but if the enemy decides to let their cannoneers practice you'll start the battle with serious damage) - an event with a third ship. There wouldn't be a 3-ship combat, but maybe it waits to attack the survivor, I don't know... And some aphrodisiac food for those who want to bang the crew.

Which builds are FUN after 1.1
The +2 stat bonus is insane. It's 12 more points to your character. I'd only consider using it if I was playing solo. The free gold might be useful if I want a shorter playthrough and need to get a bigger boat or a custom party sooner. But I don't think I'll ever do that.
