  1. So, from what I got from this thread: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/101501-beta-patch-11-important-changes/, there are two battles in the beginning that are very difficult on PotD, depending on you party composition The second one is actually considered impossible by some people, unless you hire a fifth character or skip it with stealth and come back later. For me, on Veteran, they were challenging and I had to pay attention to the health levels and choose my abilities carefully. I used a potion once and the gaun ring, but nobody died. I think it's fine for a first playthrough since people playing on PotD are saying that sometimes they have to reload and I don't want that much challenge until I play for a second time. I'll probably try these battles in PotD later because if I make a comparison I can provide better information for other people here. Maybe I'm too bad and Veteran is easy... Who knows? But I did finished a PoE1 PotD game last week and the only battle I found decently difficult (after early-midgame, when I was still learning the best strategies) was the last one. So I don't think I'm that bad. I can't do that. It says that it can't be changed.
  2. This makes a big difference for me. I'd get bored really fast if I couldn't easily check to see what the different castes are in the Huana culture. Obviously, you eventually get to know these things, but it helps in the beginning, making it interesting instead of annoying.
  3. I play the same way and I hope they change it back to how it was in PoE1. I never saw this happening there, an ability finishing and no effect yet.
  4. I didn't pay much attention to combat before, because I only truly started playing the game with this beta, but is it normal to have your characters pushing each other in combat? I forgot I changed my rogue's weapon and ordered her to shoot an enemy, but then she walked to get close and attack, pushing Eder to the side (placing him in the direction Aloth was sending a rolling flame). Shouldn't they stand their ground and the other characters move around?
  5. Meh, it is a point and click horror adventure game that just happens to be isometric. Also you appear to wear no clothes which is kind of annoying to me. I would like to see something in space that isn't horror based, cause that is getting a little old. Oh, ok. In this case I agree, it shouldn't be like that.
  6. Anyone here played "Stasis"? It's an isometric sci-fi game, but no real time combat. I havent played it yet, but maybe it's how a game like this would look like. https://store.steampowered.com/app/380150/STASIS/
  7. I'm playing on Veteran now. I'm still at the beginning, but I'll share my impressions here later. I'm about to do two battles that are considered very difficult in PotD now. They should give a good impression about Veteran.
  8. Oh, much better than mine! This is my first Watcher for Deadfire, thanks!
  9. Decided to change my vote from Mirke to Rekke. I really like the Brute multiclass combination and it's very interesting to have a character from a totally different culture. I still love Mirke, of course.
  10. Who knows, maybe Rymrgand is the mechanism for revenge that Durance was looking for.
  11. I played only a little and I noticed some problems importing my savegame from PoE1. Eder did not join the Night Market and Vela's drunk babysitter (Eld Engrim? Not sure what his name is) speaks as if Durance died. This is definitely the Beta, since I have the new features like eyecolor for example. One way or another I'll play the game in 1.1 because I can't wait anymore. I'll enjoy any future bug fixes in another playthrough, it's totally fine for me.
  12. Eder is not importing correctly. He was supposed to have joined the Night Market but he went to Aedyr.
  13. @CENIC I didn't notice the file type when I uploaded this portrait. The watercolor versions are PNG and the others are JPEG so the game won't use the watercolors. You need to open the watercolors in a program and save them as JPEG or download them again in the portrait thread (link below). I tested them with the same extension and they work. Sorry for the inconvenience, I didn't know about this until now. https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/99990-portraits-iii/page-16?do=findComment&comment=2041445
  14. Please tell me they left Modwyr alone... I love that sword. Over 1.000 changes. Who knows...
  15. The 1.1 Beta is out. Notice that they are not listing all the changes (over 1.000): https://steamcommunity.com/games/560130/announcements/detail/1657768283115606492
  16. Yes, the beta is out https://steamcommunity.com/games/560130/announcements/detail/1657768283115606492 Perfect. I finished my last PoE3 game yesterday and I was trying to decided what to do now.
  17. Nooo! She was the only character who opposed the idea of killing Vela. That said, my Bleak Walker didn't hesitate when doing just that... Edit: I didn't express myself well. My Bleak Walker killed the GM, not Vela!
  18. You guys are playing with fire. Do you know what happened the last time somebody tried to sacrifice Durance to the pool?
  19. Hello, new favorite portrait <3 Here is the original and a variation with long hair:
  20. Only non-death godlikes can see the growths on their heads. I think the implication is that the masks are an illusion. As they can see just fine with their eyes covered. No reason why they cant also eat. I meant it as a joke. Anyway, I prefer the old ones with their smoky hair.
