  1. Keeping her was the best and only choice. In my game, when I left the house, her "good" brother appeared and we ended up fighting. He and his people didn't seem to care about the fact that I had a baby in my arms. One of them even cast Plague of Insects. Trust me, she is safer in a pirate ship than among people that do things like that.
  2. Watcher: No Vela, you can't run away with the Bleak Walkers! Vela: But you never spent time with me! Watcher: Come on Vela, that's not fair. You know I have been doing important things. Vela: You always have an excuse! "Somebody has to stop that archmage", "I have to hunt another god", "Tekehu is showing me 'watershaping'"... Watcher:
  3. Check the achievements, some of them are pretty easy to get. If you start a new game with Berath's Blessings, choose the option for +50.000 money and use it to upgrade your ship and/or cannons. I imagine this is a good way to avoid worrying about ship battles in the early game. There is also an option for starting as an experienced captain.
  4. - If she sleeps in your room, you expose her to the rabid companions - If you send her to the menagerie, you'll be accused of treating her like an animal - If you leave her with the crew, she becomes a drunk and a drug addict - If you send her away from the ship, it's child abandonment It's a no-win situation.
  5. It should be easy to add a few more lines of dialogue, at least. Vela calling the watcher Mom/Dad for example. If she is supposed to be treated like a servant, then it's essentially Orlan slavery and companions that don't like racism should react to it.
  6. It can't be worse than carrying her in your bag in the final event of WM Part 2.
  7. Actually I think you need to click on the tiny top symbol ^ to see the conversation. It's really small. Maybe I'm getting old...
  8. Ungrateful crew: higher chance of mutinies Slow learner: needs 50% more experience to level up Misty seas: reduced line of sight for the boat Debilitated soul: -2 on each stat Ondra's mark: reduced cannon accuracy
  9. Have you found a console command that works on the ocean map view? I tried setzoomrange and it didn't seem to work. No. We'll have to wait for a list of commands on the wiki, ask in the console commands thread (I think there was one) or ask a developer.
  10. Ok, if you think we are missing dwarves, I'll post more. Some of them were probably posted here before, but this is already the third thread and we are not even counting the one(s?) from PoE1.
  11. Yes, this has already been done. I'll try to find the exact post and add it here later. The first one turned out to be really ugly & unmakable, but still, did this one : Now we need a tree-shifter druid subclass. Edit: Found the Helmet guy, it's in this page: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/91743-portraits/page-15?do=findComment&comment=1977992
  12. White that Wends is double boring - freezing wasteland of nothing but snow for miles ahead. Living Lands on the other hand, are very diverse and awesome sequel material: https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/The_Living_Lands https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/True_Stories_from_the_Living_Lands PoE3: The Living Lands. Maybe with an Old West setting instead of pirates? The frontier theme made me think of that, not that I'm actually suggesting it.
  13. Once Obsidian fix the serious issues with the game, we can ask them to add more Vela content. A few dialogue options would be easy. But who knows, maybe they already have plans. Vela could be for PoE3 what Maralie Fiddlebender would be in Baldur's Gate 3: "The game would not have been a sequel to Baldur's Gate II in terms of story but rather gameplay, however, it did continue part of story of Icewind Dale II through joinable NPC's, specifically Maralie Fiddlebender, who would have been an adult in the story." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baldur%27s_Gate_III:_The_Black_Hound
  14. She should at least call the Watcher Daddy/Mommy. And I expected a quest where her family (the original tribe) would come and try to rescue her. But nobody found out that I massacred the Ethik Nol (I bet my party left the cave covered in blood!), so how could they find out that I had a baby with me? As for her brother, I intended to kidnap the baby, but when he appeared I felt guilty and chose "I'm just trying to keep her safe" or something like that. And what did he do? He attacked me! Seriously, who attacks a person carrying a baby?! Ok, I don't remember if anyone actually targeted my watcher, that was busy casting Armor of Faith to protect Vela from arrows and plague of insects (seriously, you cast plague of insects near a baby?!), but at that moment I knew that she would be safe with me than with this psycho people. Edit: give us some dialogue options when talking with her, like hugging her or ruffling her hair. Let her ask us to spend some time together or read a story...
  15. Ah, ok, you are not going full evil. It's like my priest of Skaen from PoE1, that was only cruel to the bad guys and oppressors.
  16. Well, since you started it, you might as well finish the job. Kill everyone in the village and loot the place. Then blame the pirates or Eothas...
  17. I'll wait for that too. I could play before they adjust Veteran and PotD, but not without this.
  18. Did you post your avatar picture in this thread? That's a very good one.
  19. Yes, I have an idea of what you are talking about. I played on Veteran for some time. I just rushed to get the companions and see what their dispositions and unique class abilities are. I barely thought of any strategies in combat and I won most battles easily. Only when I didn't pay much attention or when I fought higher level enemies somebody died. And the only time the party was wiped out was when I tried to kill some Eothasians to drop Xoti's opinion and they were stronger than my team.
  20. I think multiclassing is good if you want to roleplay or simply be that combination. Otherwise it's better to plan your party and have the companions support you. On my first game I'll be a pure assassin. On my second a Fury/Evoker just because I think it's cool and I'll invest a lot in Arcana to get those high level spells from scrolls (no empowering for them of course). Another multiclass I'm considering is a Priest of Berath/Beckoner, just for roleplaying reasons...
  21. I want to wait for that, but if they fix the companions in the next patch I'll be tempted to start a playthrough. You are not the only one dying to play.
