Portraits III
InsaneCommander replied to Amentep's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Nice! I don't plan to use it, but I think it's a good one. I'm sure the dwarf fans will appreciate it.

Is Eora an Ocean Planet?
InsaneCommander replied to Yenkaz's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Maybe it's dangerous to travel far and the know countries are close enough that ships can stop regularly to resupply.

Portraits III
InsaneCommander replied to Amentep's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I epicly failed with this one, tried different options in gimp and the one below was the best I achieved. But I don't plan to use it. If someone else wants it, maybe they could try making a watercolor version.

Is Eora an Ocean Planet?
InsaneCommander replied to Yenkaz's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)We know there must be at least one more nation somewhere, Rekke's Yezuha. And if contact with them has been difficult, then there must be other places too.

UMM! You forgot something, Mirke...
InsaneCommander replied to fortuntek's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)My first character in PoE was a nudist. But only during spiritshift. In Deadfire I will choose Fury, so no more nudity. Unless you count electric currents as such.

Portraits III
InsaneCommander replied to Amentep's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I made a few more, but I don't know how they will look in the game. Some of the small watercolors look bad when I resize, so I kept them larger, but with the right aspect ratio. This one is perfect for a no-nonsense character. He'll probably be my priest of Berath in my second or third playthrough: Original image:

Josh Sawyer's tweets and teasers, part IV
InsaneCommander replied to Amentep's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)It can't be. They've been talking about other things, like increasing the number of enemies, for example.

Josh Sawyer's tweets and teasers, part IV
InsaneCommander replied to Amentep's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I agree. As for Berath's Blessings, I don't intend to use them as a cheat. Starting at level 4 and/or +2 on each stat? I can only imagine using that if I decide to play solo and I don't want to get the triple crown solo achievement (which I assume will not be available with Berath's Blessings). In a case like this it is not rally cheating, since the game would still be more difficult than playing with a 5 character party with no Blessings.

Magran's Fires Ideas (old Rymrgand Curse)
InsaneCommander replied to evilcat's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)No Skaen's or Rymrgand curses. It'll be "Magran's Fires": "Another feature that the team is really excited about is what we are calling "Magran's Fires". Similar to Berath's Blessings, these modes can be enabled from the main menu and will add gameplay modifiers for challenges above and beyond Path of the Damned. In addition to the returning Triple Crown and Triple Crown Solo challenges, we will be rolling out challenges themed to Eora's gods, beginning with Berath, Galawain, and, of course, Magran." https://www.fig.co/campaigns/deadfire/updates/692

[POTD Difficulty] Launch NOT tuned discussion thread
InsaneCommander replied to Haran's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)https://steamcommunity.com/games/560130/announcements/detail/1657767648992932225 "You'll find more enemies per encounter." Also, somebody asked if we could change a character's hair, but I can't find that thread: "Lastly, the team is also adding new cosmetic options for player customization with the ability to change character appearance at any time."

Free DLC, The Rum Runner's Pack, Coming Next Week!
InsaneCommander replied to Mikey Dowling's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Announcements & News
- Absolutely furious right now
InsaneCommander replied to OxfordDon's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I didn't know this video. Lol Imagine that kid playing Deadfire instead of Unreal: "I want to play!! I want to play! Why can't I skip the intro?!" *Screams* "Why isn't Eder the mayor? Where is Vela?!?" *destroys the keyboard*- DD wizard is straight up broken
InsaneCommander replied to Windalar's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I wanna try that too. I tested in the game with a console command to reach level 20. I was able to choose all fire, thunder and ice spells and one or another passive ability. I call it "the Firestorm".- Free DLC, The Rum Runner's Pack, Coming Next Week!
InsaneCommander replied to Mikey Dowling's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Announcements & NewsMy first playthrough will be as a pirate so Mirke is a mandatory character in the party, even if she never speaks. I'll assume she is one of those people that stay quiet when drunk believing that nobody will notice it, even though it's blatantly obvious.- Triggered
InsaneCommander replied to Spoting's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I don't remember when I learned that new releases would have bugs and I could have to wait some time to properly play a game. But it became a clear idea in my mind. My plan for Deadfire was to wait 2 weeks, or maybe 2 patches, before playing, just to make sure any serious bugs were addressed. I don't know when that will happen, but I'll try to wait. I've slowed down my third playthrough of PoE but even so I'll probably finish it next week. Then I'll probably succumb and start Deadfire in whichever state it is.- When Does The Rum Runner`s DLC Release?
InsaneCommander replied to Gary1986's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I don't know if I can wait for the patch. The compulsion to play is too strong. Maybe I'll have mostly sidekicks in my party and avoid some of the problems with companion disposition/relations. And to plan my party in advance I need to know what are the class options for Mirke... Monk is one, right? Which could be the others? I'm guessing rogue.- Portraits III
InsaneCommander replied to Amentep's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Found more dwarves: Edit: 1 more:- Request for the DLC: better deities for priests
InsaneCommander replied to gkathellar's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I wouldn't mind if they added new subclasses for the other Gods, even if they didn't come with the proper reaction. It would be cool to have different priests with specific spells granted on each level (ice for Rymrgand, Water for Ondra...) Btw, would it be too difficult to add some purely cosmetic variations for the Ranger's animal companions? - Bear: brown, black, polar - Wolf: gray, white, brown, fox? - Lion: lion, lioness, tiger, white tiger, black panther, young stelgaer - Stag: stag, moose - Antelope: antelope, ram - Boar: different colors?- Romance & Companions wishes (NON-SPOILERS)
InsaneCommander replied to Amentep's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Any romanceable character can be hot. Just take them to the bathhouse and cast Boiling Spray.- Vela is a druggie.
InsaneCommander replied to Jazhara7's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Even my evil character (a Bleak Walker) found it outrageous. The leader of the fiercest warrior tribe couldn't kill a baby!? He was sentenced to death right there, before the conversation ended. Not to mention that it was a society that killed babies... In the end this character didn't keep Vela, but I'll retcon it using the legacy editor for obvious reasons.- Tutorial: Watercolor Portraits in the GIMP
InsaneCommander replied to Orillion's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I posted two characters in the portraits thread. I think it's ok for a first try. https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/99990-portraits-iii/page-9?do=findComment&comment=2032233- Portraits III
InsaneCommander replied to Amentep's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I followed the tutorial in the other thread: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/97149-tutorial-watercolor-portraits-in-the-gimp/ This is my first try: Original image: Original image: Notice that the smaller watercolor images are bigger than the ones in the game, but have the right proportion (I think ). - Absolutely furious right now
