  1. This seems like good information to add to the romance thread. Is this correct? Favored Factions by companions: - Principi: Serafen - Huana: Tekehu - Vailian: Five Suns Pallegina - Royal Deadfire: Maia Do Eder, Xoti and Aloth care about these factions? What about Kind Wayfarer Pallegina? And does this mean that if I choose a faction, let's say the Principi, I can't have both Serafen and Tekehu in my party anymore?
  2. I set sail for the first time and there was no sign of Vela. I thought we forgot her in Vilario's Rest, but on the following day I found her talking with Xerafen.
  3. I usually restart one or two times. But in Deadfire I have much more trouble choosing my character. I want to use my third character from PoE1 (it's the most pirate inclined) but after losing faith in Skaen in the end of the game (for the character's personal reasons) I might change the subclass. I can't choose one of these: - Skaen Priest/Assassin - Magran Priest/Skald (or Beckoner for summoning lots of dragons), seems like a perfect pirate - Berath Priest/Beckoner, goes well with the Berath sail and cape - Wael Priest/Assassin - Assassin/Wizard - Assassin/Beckoner I want to be a priest because
  4. Some people probably created expectations on Valentine's day: https://www.fig.co/campaigns/deadfire/updates/263 But if you think about it, Pallegina's and Eder's pictures don't really give the same "romanceable" impression as Aloth's and Tekehu's.
  5. The idea was to include in the first post what was confirmed for sure, but the thread is growing fast and I haven't updated appropriately... Anyway, I didn't see anyone disagreeing with the information from the Reddit thread, so I'll simplify the post to avoid any misunderstandings. Check the image in the first thread. It seems that except for Eder and Pallegina, all companions are romanceable.
  6. Imo the spell selection for scrolls in Deadfire is much better than in PoE1. I'll add some screenshots in the first post.
  7. My character looks so much better than in the first game that I want to romance her.
  8. The second dialogue option addresses Vela, but one of the others, that I chose, is for the other character. So let's assume Vela is not the one supposed to be drunk.
  9. We have to wait until the guys who were making the watercolor portraits have the time to make more. There is a tutorial in another thread, in case someone want to give it a try: https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/97149-tutorial-watercolor-portraits-in-the-gimp/
  10. Do you mean you can hit with Soft Winds of Death without leaving stealth? The attack roll doesn't bring you out of stealth? Apparently not. I moved near the enemy to test. And later I summoned the skeletons. Some time passed, I think it was enough for the Soft Winds of Death. Let me test in another battle and I'll let you know for sure. Edit: It breaks stealth when the attack hits. But you can "sing" in stealth until that happens.
  11. But... you aren't being responsible. You're dragging it off into danger, away from home, where it will likely die. Selling it as a slave or sacrifice would also be like any other thing you could do in the game, and I can think of much worse and less appropriate 'unique' things that would be different for the sake of difference. Obviously there is nothing wrong in bringing a child to the Deadfire because... Wait.
  12. What skeletons can a Beckoner summon? They are shorter than an Orlan. No, even shorter, look at one of them near Vela: Are they baby skeletons? Maybe the hollowborn are back for revenge?
  13. I'm testing a Priest of Skaen/Beckoner and I found out some interesting things: - I almost immediately gain 2 phrases at the beginning of combat and so can summon my skeletons really fast - Chanting doesn't break stealth until the attack hits: - Summoning skeletons doesn't break stealth:
  14. Be careful, you might be in an alternate universe. Watch out for people with goatees.
  15. So maybe Eder and Pallegina are the tough romance options and not everyone will be able to succeed, even among the those who are trying it.
  16. There is only two options for the Eyeless. Send them back to the wheel or reforge Abydon. But in PoE1 you could also temper the god.
  17. A pity we can't use the female Death Godlike anymore, since the game model has changed.
  18. You can crop the original imagine to your preference here: http://www.notra.fr/portrait Then post the portrait here and ask for the watercolor version.
  19. I'll add that to the first post. Maybe it's harder to start a romance with her. That could actually make it more interesting.
  20. I barely played the game and I had that talk with him too. I wanted some companions in my party, but now I see that they won't like me. I think I'll roleplay my deceptive, clever, passionate pirate and just accept whatever happens with companions. With luck the sidekicks won't reject me.
  21. Lol This reminds me of my custom party in PoE1. I had am Elf Ranger with a human portrait because I wanted "distant advantage". So I ended up imagining her as a human teenager, since she was shorter. Then she started using svef to get attack speed bonus... and I realized that I turned the teenager into a drug addict.
  22. We don't know that. She is interested in women, but there is no confirmation about men yet. If you find out, do tell us.
  23. I'll update the first post with the information from the thread. Please let me know if I make any mistakes. So far I think we have this: Male Watcher: - Xoti -Tekehu Female Watcher: - Maia Rua - Tekehu - Aloth
  24. Good point. I definitely don't want to be a rogue sneaking around with a massive sword. I'll try different builds without advancing much and check the forums before I go for real. Maybe I'll even end up as a Beckoner/Assassin, if the chant doesn't break stealth. I really like these classes.
