An Ogre party member for DLC
InsaneCommander replied to TheBruce's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)What if the Ogre companion is a transmuter? Will he change into a giant? And talking about changing forms, can we get a druid subclass that can assume a groot tree form? https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/99146-share-pictures-of-your-watcher/page-2?do=findComment&comment=2022393

Playable Wild Mind on main character
InsaneCommander replied to Bronsteijn's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I got mass paralysis, it was really useful. Way better than Neera in BG2:EE. She changed my character's sex. I guess she was jealous because I chose Aerie.

InsaneCommander replied to xzar_monty's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Are you sure that was not enough? I sent Eder and he succeeded. After that I had the Watcher only check and with athletics 1 it was ok.

Much point to a Sorcerer?
I will eventually create a "firestorm" build with evoker/fury. I don't care if it's good, because it looks cool. I already tested with the console to get a hireling to level 20 and see if I could choose all the spells I wanted.

Money poor until the very end, what am I doing wrong?
I'm curious about ship upgrade. Should I buy each one in succession? Or just the Dhow? If I want a bigger one even though it is more expensive to keep, should I wait until I have a good money reserve?

Serafen's "Gift"
InsaneCommander replied to Suen's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)So many cool hats. How can I be a godlike?

The Ship combat thread
InsaneCommander replied to Odoakar's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)How can I decrease the number of enemies on the other ship? I fought a combat in the 1.1 Beta and reduced their crew to 1 but by the time I got close enough to board it raised to 3. Is there a way to keep it down? They had 6 defenders, can I reduce that number too?

Play now or wait for patching master thread
InsaneCommander replied to Majber's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I can't wait anymore. I'll play and use some sidekicks so if there is still any problems with companions I won't have to worry too much. I really like the brute and sorcerer multiclasses so Rekke and Fassina will be more than welcome to my party. And Mirke is Mirke. The last spot goes for Serafen since I'll be going full pirate. I suspect these guys won't whine about that.

UMM! You forgot something, Mirke...
InsaneCommander replied to fortuntek's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)We need an anti-nudism berserker subclass. If Mirke is in the party you can use the megafrenzy ability and get these exclusive inspirations: - Atomic: +25 might, +10 penetration, interrupt enemies on crit, hit or graze - Indestructible: +25 constitution, +10 armor, instantaneous regeneration

What do you want to see in the franchise
InsaneCommander replied to Dodo00d's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Do you read Brandon Sanderson? The second Mistborn "trilogy" has a Wild West setting. The third one will be modern and the fourth in space. Sign me up for anything like that in a game.

Killing NPC's
InsaneCommander replied to cevogreen's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Nothing like throwing a fireball every time you see more than 3 npcs together. But I'll leave that for another watcher. My first one only kills if there is a reason. Stealing is a different matter, of course.

Patch 1.1.0 Updates Thread
Ok... Good to know.

Obsidian: please put back the ability to change between POTD/veteran. My game is broken now.
InsaneCommander replied to Thormind's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)I dont mind that, i would just like to be able to switch between ridiculous and veteran when i get tired of reloading multiple time for all fights. Same here. I want to play Veteran first, with a good challenge. Then I'll try PotD, hoping for a greater challenge, but if it gets impossible I'd rather change to Veteran than abandon the game. Imo, a really difficult PotD would be perfect for a third playthrough, with a combination of Magran's fires and Berath's blessings that suited my tastes and maybe a full custom party with some nice builds.

What do you want to see in the franchise
InsaneCommander replied to Dodo00d's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Ok, I want to see the Living Lands too. And maybe Rekke's homeland. Also, this: This: Seriously, I wouldn't mind having all of the companions trying to betray or backstab me if it suits them. Oh, and definitely, this:

Does the challenge in patch 1.1 stay tough after early levels?
InsaneCommander replied to Uni's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)That is how it should be. PotD difficult the whole game and people having to consider going down to Veteran.

Obsidian: please put back the ability to change between POTD/veteran. My game is broken now.
InsaneCommander replied to Thormind's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Stories (Spoiler Warning!)I totally agree with this, but wouldn't it be good to be able to change from Veteran to PotD if the late game becomes easier? That happns in PoE1 and many people are worried about the same thing in Deadfire.

Veteran difficulty?
InsaneCommander replied to Tomice's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Yes, but it's the only thing we can do in the short time. Specially in my case because I don't have as much time as I want to play games and I take a lot of time in games like this. I usually listen to everything that has voice acting and do my exploration with no hurry. Maybe I'll even use the walk toggle. I won't be able to judge the difficult of late game for many weeks... Anyway, the OP seems satisfied about the early game information and understands that late game is a different thing. So it is helpful. I think I read it somewhere too. Medicine for me too...
