  1. Hey! I found a way to make Fire Stag somewhat useful: Fire Stag has an unlimited use of self-destruct which does good burn/pierce damage in a fixed (friendly fire) AoE. Unfortunately it kills itself with the self-destruct (obviously). So the limitless uses are of little... use. But if you cast Lay on Hands (Shieldbearer) or Barring Death's Door (Priest) on the Stag it will not get killed in the process, allowing it to repeat the self-destruction over and over again as long as the barring effect lasts. This can be prolonged with Salvation of Time. All those spells can be cast on the Stag because it's a "steerable" summon which is not on autopilot and thus counts as "ally".

  2. not on official servers, though. a Tier 4 bearer has 9900 HP, Relic Hunter Treasure Seekers have around 7500 HP. you put a good set of armor on them, and they become invincible. I have yet to encounter a boss that can kill a Hunter in full Silent Legion armor. this dungeon was very easy for me, I didn't even have to kill anyone, my thrall wiped them all out (including the bone dragon and the shaleback king). in my experience thralls break the game completely, even the lower tier ones (named minibosses that have 1800 HP) are so OP at the start of the game, that it made me feel like playing an NPC to someone else's hero. and then there are pets that you don't even need to capture, just find pups/cubs (greater hyenas have 8000 HP and do around 100 damage), that can rip bosses apart. a bunch of obligatory pics:

  3. I don't think I ever learned how to speak Ta'veren and Tel'aran'rhiod lol As for the Wheel of Time cast, I don't care how they look, except for the people that have specific hair color or other characteristics for a reason.

  6. Human smuggling isn't the same thing as unlawful border crossings and in my experience coyotes, with rare exceptions, aren't in it out of the goodness of their hearts. I'll concede that I'm no expert on it but I did grow up and live near the border for about 20 years. Mind you, I'm also not for throwing open the gates but I think GD's idea a little while back was a pretty good one. Issue work permits and have them pay taxes and heavily fine anyone who is caught trying to pay them under the table. I think that's a decent start for an incredibly complicated issue.

  8. It'd be even funnier if they didn't bother putting a recovery time on the self-destruct power, given that it's not meant to be recovered from.

  10. Salt brine and hot peppers sounds like something that doesn't mesh very well. Have you tried making pepper infused honey? That's easy to do and gives great results - works best with honeydew honey. There's two ways you can go about this, either simmer the peppers in honey for a bit and then strain through a sieve or just chop up the peppers and pour the honey over them. The latter can't be stored for extended periods of time and should be consumed within a few months. Adding water to the honey makes it perishable, however you still get the actual peppers with a bit of honey instead of just honey that's hot and sweet, and you don't feel dirty afterwards, I mean... boiling honey should be a criminal offense.

  11. As in that mini pilot episode that was shot purely to keep the licence? In part, it was terrible, but actually, I really liked Billy Zane's role in it. It was basically that opening prologue of Eye of the World with Ishamael's almost monologue to the newly insane Lews Therin. But Zane manages to inhabit that role with that..slightly over the top zest that you expect from Ishamael.

  13. That is really interesting indeed. I noticed a similar behaviour when using summonend weapons. In my case I used once on my multiclassed wizard Nannasin's Cobra Strike and Rot Skulls. If you cast Rot Skulls first and then Cobra you will have both summoned weapons in each hand. Simply means, double DoT on your target for more DPS. ____ I really forgot to mention something IMPORTANT about my Priest/Rogue Ultimate Run. Wit of Deaths Herald (upgraded ability that gives you Brilliant) can be cast out of combat, therefore it's effect also last after combat ends !!! You can, and I did so in my run ofc, cycle it between each fight without the need to rest everytime. That's why I mentioned that I only need to rest like 15 times. If you prolong the buff long enough you can easily jump into the next fight without resting, for example the arena fights in SSS or in the Forgotten Sanctum. Enjoy. As always. #IdoNotHideStrats Tenray

  18. One of those times where the flowers end up making a double-fruit. The tomatoes themselves are maybe 1.5 to 2 inches wide. Larger than cherry in stores, but still pretty small. They grow this way. Apparently a lot of peppers do, but it's the first time I've seen one. I laughed pretty hard when I first saw it. Not sure of the variety name. I kept asking hubby but then I forget so I stopped asking. There are three hot pepper plants. The oldest one survived a winter and has barely any leaves ( a few on top) but determinedly keeps producing tons of large peppers anyway. Hubby tried pickling some in mostly a salt brine or something. They stunk and I didn't touch them. I'll stick to the store bought pickled jalapenos until/unless he does something similar. He grew up with relatives who did lots of canning/jarring so he wants to try it I guess. There's baby cucumbers growing too. He's just experimenting at this point, mostly. But a year or two from now I expect him to till up and take over half the lawn space or something. Hah.

  21. FUN TRIVIA FACT, U. S. COMIC BOOKS TYPICALLY USE ALL UPPER CASE LETTERS, AND USE BOLD FOR EMPHASIS OF WORDS INSTEAD OF MIXED CASE AND ALL CAPS. THIS MADE IT HARDER FOR OLD PRINTING PRESSES TO MAKE THE TEXT ILLEGIBLE. CLASSICALLY, UNTIL COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY CAUGHT UP TO IT, MOST LETTERING WAS DONE BY HAND. THE BIG EXCEPTION IN THE U. S. WAS CHARLTON COMICS WHO ACTUALLY HAD A GIANT TYPING MACHINE AND TYPED THE LETTERING IN FOR SOME COMICS DIRECTLY ON THE ARTWORK.

  22. This is one of those things I'm shocked I've never seen anybody mention before. The final upgrade on RotW gives Brilliant to all allies within a radius for a few seconds (4s base, affected by intellect) when you Empower an ability. This can be extended with SoT. Just like that, almost your whole team (not the character wearing the robes) can have Brilliant indefinitely once you keep casting SoT occasionally. You may say: "but Jayd, I rarely use Empower because of its per-rest nature." But Chanters get Sasha's Singing Scimitar, which allows you to empower an invocation per encounter (and RotW give you a special buff when you empower an invocation). This means that you can give your whole party (excluding the Chanter) Brilliant in every single fight, for as long as you want once you have a Priest. This is WILDLY powerful, obviously. Especially in a caster-heavy party. Just posting this because it hadn't even occurred to me until recently and I use Chanters a lot.

  23. Say "Hi" to the Avatar of Derketo: Sepermeru for scale: Bye bye *blows kiss* So long suckers, I'm outta here! (I did make a backup of my save before doing that) I don't think talking about the "Leave the Exiles Lands" step is spoilers necessarily, but just in case: There's supposedly a major update coming out in September, curious what that's going to be. I'd mostly love more areas to explore but that seems unlikely as the devs have said the current map is already pushing the limits of the Unreal Engine. Only thing I still have to do now is the climbing up high achievement. I'll probably see if I can't just climb the Volcano for that one.

  24. Getting very, very close now... And yes, I did use the Wiki for this one, still took me quite a while, not because I missed so many places (I didn't, unfortunately I also didn't count them but it was well under 20, which isn't bad on a total of 237) but well, finding which markers you missed on such a large map was slow (didn't help that since the last major Windows update the game has started randomly freezing on alt-tabbing...) The ending... So that leaves the new dungeon and Avatar summoning. Since I know the altar gets destroyed in the ritual I'll just build a new one (ooooh, smells like a building project!) and sacrifice some more of those fools that dare stand against my mightthe will of Set. (oh yes, there's still that one achievement, ignoring the multiplayer-only one, to get up really really high, figure that means either building a humongous tower or climbing the volcano)

  25. Not sure exactly what was causing this one, though it may be related to buggy code with the 3.07 Captain's Hat. Sometimes the Cape of the Cheat is triggering on its own - I'm not using it manually and I don't think the AI uses it. When it triggers, it gives an indefinite escape buff, and whenever the user tries to engage in melee he is teleported away from the target without hitting. This carries over combat to combat, so once triggered the character is useless. Saving and restarting the game seems to fix it; resting does not. Have not been able to reproduce the trigger.

  26. You play on official? Not sure if I could stand that given my building urges... I just dabbled on official to compare it to the latency on my own server. Bearers do less damage than fighters though (didn't use to, but they got the nerfbat to the face once word about that got out), not sure whether their armour values got reduced, if they were then that extra HP might not count for as much (and even a naked NPC has some armour as that's what the multipliers work with). Generally speaking Thralls are the answer to every problem, if you can get them to actually fight as the AI is derpy as all hell. Haven't bothered with pets (got one from the cave my base is pretty much on top of), but they generally don't have a lot of armour and judging from what I've seen their AI is generally even worse than Thrall AI, so a Thrall with decent equipment will always outperform them (ofc, they're probably great early game, before you get access to all the good stuff), especially against armoured targets, I would imagine (so most humanoids). Might go back and see how a Thrall fares against the Arena Champion. Fwiw, I was using a T3 Sepermeru (Relic Hunter) Thrall in full Silent Legion with the Doom hammer (and then the Worldbreaker, once that dropped). The Named minibosses that can be enthralled are considered T4 Thralls btw and, if not counting Purge thralls, they have the best stats for their faction (crafters craft faster, use less resources, and often get special recipes. Eg. white/black dye for Purge Alchemist) Still, kinda proud of myself that I cleared most everything (until this dungeon), without using Thralls (eh, I did skip the dagger boss in the Dagon dungeon, that guy was just ridiculous). Wouldn't recommend it though and I might go back and see how much pain I could've saved myself by using a Thrall

  27. I'm getting fed up with PoE's stupid stronghold thing. Literally every time I build a new structure, bandits attack and destroy it. I've had to replace my Main Keep like 5 times now. What is the point of building these structures that say they add defense when they don't? And it takes so long to rebuild this stuff, yet I get attacked way more often than I can build. The whole "manual resolve" is so stupid, too, because I can't figure out how to get back at the exact right time. I tried one time to get back in time, but there was like 6 hours left until the supposed attack, so my options were either to just stand around doing nothing for six in-game hours, or "rest". I opted to rest, but of course it rested for 8 hours and I missed the attack. I honestly don't remember it being this fickle when I played the PC version. The PS4 version has been nothing but a hassle.

  29. Look, if you "randomly" put your age as less than 18 on any website and they wont let you continue, it's your fault. Remember kids, on the internet you're always at least 18 years old. For legal reasons: that was a joke.
