  2. Just a draft of a Sacred Immolation rework in order to align Pulse Duration and self damages duration. It is a common plan with @MaxQuest This change is quite technical, both rule-wise and implementation-wise. Sacred Immolation effects each follow different rules : - Sacred Immolation damage is a Pulse effect. Pulse effects do benefit from INT but not from PL. - The self damages is an Hostile effect. It does "benefit" from INT and PL and is reduced by RES. - Sacred Sacrifice self-rez. It does "benefit" from INT and PL and is not reduced by RES. This one can be extended by SoT. => This somehow causes Sacred Sacrifice self damages to work the same way due to a bug (corrected by current BPM version) The idea from this file is to align all durations. This requires coding them as sub-effects of a "master" beneficial effect. As a side effect Sacred Immolation now does benefit from INT and PL, is not reduced by RES and can be extended by SoT. The duration can be significantly higher than before (~21s with my SC Paladin with Axe of Magran) especially because you do get an "ultimate tick" when the spell ellapse (even if previous tick was like 0.1s before it ellapses). It might require a little duration tuning. EDIT : or not. Scaling from PL for damages is a buff (and not much for MC Paladin), but self damages not reduced by RES is a nerf. Overall it's pretty equivalent. But overall it feels quite clean. EDIT : New version, now includes upgrade. I'm going to further tweak Sacred Sacrifice for other reasons, but the new version below is the closest from vanilla game. Notes : - This file is for now only about Sacred Immolation itself. I want to stabilize it before adding the upgrades. - Sacred Immolation is disabled when active. In vanilla game, Sacred Immolation is disabled when the self damages is active, which allows recasting it when already active with RES duration reduction of the self damages part. This isn't possible anymore. Sacred Immolation will be re-activable as soon as all its effects stop, and not sooner. - Tested Voiward damage reduction : OK - Being knocked down stop the effects as before. - Because of display issue, I had to code a dummy AoE attack for targetting (that also carries the cast/recovery time) and a display Status. Divine Immolation will probably require a secondary dummy AoE for targetting allies. - As it is a draft file, I didn't include previous BPM change 4->2 Zeal and/or CP change AoE 2.5->3.5m. For now it is as close as possible from vanilla. Sacred Immo.zip

  3. Biden just announced more sanctions on Russia, and Zelenskyi is ready to negotiate with Russia, but with new Russian president, as the current one knows no honesty, nor dignity. Quote from Zelenskyy: "Ukraine was and remains a leader in negotiation efforts. It is our state that has always offered to negotiate with Russia on coexistence on equal, honest, dignified and fair terms. It is obvious that with the current Russian president, this is impossible. He has no idea what dignity and honesty are. Therefore, we are ready for a dialogue with Russia, but with another Russian president."

  4. From what I've read from the community one of the big reasons many players preferred motorcycles was because the handling of those were far more tolerable than that of the cars. That, or, let's be honest, how can you play a cyberpunk game without zipping around on the Akira bike?

  5. My choice of cars in Cyberpunk 2077 is as simple as it is functional. There's only one car that is the epitome of handling, speed and off-road capabilities: The Mizutani Shion "Coyote", don't leave home without it. No, seriously, all other cars just suck. A Rayfield Caliburn might be slightly faster, but handles like an old ass.

  6. Following this thread from @Okkes about the damage of Soul Annihilation There are some DoT from abilities with the same graduate damage calculation : Taste of the Hunt Wounding Shot Arterial Strike Gouging Strike Toxic Strike Strike & Ring the Bell Their damages are dynamically affected by : PL Might Weapon quality enchantment Sneak attack, Deathblow, Streetfighter passive, Backstab (unmodded) Soul Whip (and upgrades) Fighter weapon spe Great Sword modal Two-Handed passive universal damage bonuses (human spirit, Inspired Beacon, etc) like every DoT That mean, with Taste of the Hunt from a Druid-Rogue with WotEP, every enemies take a Damage over Time that scale when the striker active the modal and being invisible, for example. Afflicting them with 2 afflictions unlock Deathblow for the current effect also. With some numbers, for Arterial Strike (on a friendly target to see the damage directly) : 5.5 damages (when I striked) >> 6.7 (I active the Great Sword modal) >> 9.7 (stealth, Backstab) Switching to another weapon seems to remove the Quality enchantment bonus to the DoT, but this last go back when re-switching to the initial weapon. Toxic Strike's first DoT seems affected, but also by PEN. The Stag's Carnage (with CP and unmodded) also profit from these bonuses. Taste of the Hunt weapon attack profit from Spirit of Decay +1pen. In other hand, Soul Annihilation doesnt profit from Penetrating Vision (+1pen with cipher's spells) but only from Hammering Thoughts (+1pen with weapon).

Not gonna link the tweet, as it would probably breach the forum rules… Anton Gerashchenko @Gerashchenko_en Russian army shelled civilian humanitarian column at exit of Zaporizhzhia 23 people dead, 35 wounded, incl. 4y.o. girl People gathered to go to occupied territories (for relatives/documents). There is only 1 entrance point & columns leave every morning - strike was deliberate. https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2022/09/30/7369748/ Meanwhile in the US, there was prepared whitepaper for lawmakers, which deep-analyzed consequences of assigning Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism… I hope this will pass soon…

  10. XA-180s and XA-185s, don't have much of electronics and they are designed to be easy to support and they are also used by UN peace keepers, they have existing global support lines. M113s are designed to need minimalist logistic support also Poland has M113s, and is able to provide support for them in Ukraine FV103 Spartan is from 1978, it does not have much of electronics, so maybe Ukraine is able to support themselves with British instructions. YPR-765 is variant of M113, and is designed so that it can be supported with M113s parts. Also APCs usually only have machine guns and don't have targeting computers and other stuff that are found in IFVs, making them easier to support as you don't need special equipment, parts and needed knowledge is smaller. For example conscripts support XA-180s and XA-185s in Finnish Defense Forces, where BMPs and CV90s are supported by cadre engineers. Even me a software engineer was able to change oils, grease, filters, fluids, etc, change tiers, fix basic problems in engine in XA-185 with less than month training. And driving it is same as driving truck. BMPs for example I don't even know how to start them let alone drive them. EDIT: All the APC so far are also designed in 60s and 70s. M113 is from 1964, it is two years older design than BMP-1. XA-180/XA-185 is most 'modern' from 1983. Most of BMP-1s that have been given to Ukraine have been modernized, they have targeting computers, night vision, sensors etc. added to them. In most cases APCs have seen only little modernization and even then usually with newer variants and old ones have left untouched.

  15. I'm actually going to do more test, because unlike DoT that concern % of damage applied. Maybe I will modifie the post. Yes like for taste of the Hunt, I didnt really understood why the damage was so different that the description said! Maybe a recruted Rogue-Wizard (minor imprit, citzal 'slance or WotEP) is the solution!

  17. I'm having that mildly surreal experience with the new job. About 2 and a half months into it, but due to various reasons (brushes with covid, the August / September period for folks doing chunks of annual leave, etc) my on-boarding has been a touch messy and I'm still not really loaded down with any work. Both my team leader and the technical authority guy have repeatedly turned around to me and made comments along the lines of "we keep hearing good things about your work from people"... and I'm having that blink and "um.. what? I'm pretty much not doing any work just lots of background reading...??" reaction.

  18. I'm particular to the Quadra Type-66 personally, the Avenger for city driving and the Javelina for the Badlands, though I do enjoy the Shion as well. That is, unless I need to be somewhere fast, then I just use a motorcycle since you can pretty much ignore traffic with them. Usually a Brennan Apollo with a mod so I can pick the skin, which is almost always this one:

  19. Agree, even the Survivor SSS fights are doable without it, maybe just use some scrolls or potions to compensate. Megabosses are totally different story. I avoid the megabosses as they are just not fun to fight legitimately and boring if cheesed.

  21. I honestly didn't use Brilliant (at least intentionally) even once on my most recent run. I didn't do mega boss fights though, but for everything else, I didn't use it and I didn't miss it either. For me there's more than enough resources to win fights in the standard game. On long drawn out fights in SSS and so on I would just empower to get resources back. Mega bosses are of course different though. I know those can be so long and so grindy that Brilliant can make a difference. I don't typically do them though. Have beaten a few before but usually aren't in the mood for them.

  24. The Forgotten Sanctum fight? I did find many of those challenging but mostly because if you let any of the casters get off a Missile Salvo it is just game over. The Salvo also lagged my game a lot so that made it extra hard. That fight specifically is very troublesome as you are locked in and surrounded. IIRC you can get some of the automatons to aid you in battle and those helped greatly.

  25. I agree, I started up a new run with a Beguiler cipher and I think its the way to go over ascendant. You have constant debuffing of high tier afflictions (10 Focus for Blind, 20 for Paralyze/Immobilise, all of which refund Focus) and if you have an excess of Focus then you can start throwing out some Pain Blocks or Silent Screams. Has been working super well so far and I've stopped trying to crank damage out of the cipher like a Monk or Barbarian and let them help those 2 classes excel at dealing damage.

  27. It's time for my biennial attempt to play a MMO. Since this is a terrible idea, I figured I might as well double up on the bad ideas and play a MMO on a console. With that in mind I looked into what MMO I can play on xXxBOxXx that doesn't completely suck, which narrowed things down to 3 choices: 1) Black Desert 2) Elder Scrolls Online 3) Phantasy Star Online 2: New Genesis Choice 1 is a no go, I may be crazy but I'm not crazy enough to try to get into a Korean grindfest MMO. That leaves choices 2 & 3. I decided to go with choice 3 since I loved the Phantasy Star games and SEGA will never make another single player PS game because we can't have nice things. So this is the closest I'll ever get to Phantasy Star 5. I decided to go with a Bayonetta-esque sexy librarian look and I named her Eunice, because why wouldn't I? For a 10 year old MMO it looks relatively good. I'm sure it's gotten several graphical upgrades along the way. Also, Eunice does not skip leg day, she throws some serious plates on the squat rack. I'm playing a gunner so that I can live out my John Woo fantasies.

  28. even six months ago Gromnir woulda' waved off the possibility o' an overt biased district judge angling for a scotus appointment, but it is a brave new world. admitted the more likely scenario for judge cannon is that she takes a high paying fox news gig, but am getting tired of being wrong 'bout what is implausible... and keep in mind Gromnir is the guy constant chastising folks for pretending as if trump couldn't or wouldn't do the previously unimaginable. am recognizing how there is always gonna be a marjorie taylor greene or mark meadows... or worse. even so, the only positive we saw from the post 2020 election meltdown were that while traditions and norms meant nothing to elected officials and ordinary americans, federal judges were uniform and lock-step opposed to overt efforts to overthrow democracy, with the possible and noteworthy exception o' clarence thomas. regardless, we warned people time and time again that trump would set the republic on fire if he thought it were to his advantage, or if he believed he could get away with doing so while exacting vengeance 'pon those he deemed disloyal. we berated the naivety o' those who saw january 6 as some kinda proof american democracy had an would always stand firm and resolute. ... wake up knowing am daniel plainview, only to discover am eli sunday. fudge. 30. You can rather easily accidentally kill people with blunt weapons, not sure if that goes for fists too. Haven't seen it with non-lethal pistols (well, except that one time I shot someone and they fell in water, and promptly drowned. Oops.) Moreover, and this is something I think is outright idiotic: unconscious bodies you drop in containers etc count as "dead" as far as "no killing" objectives are concerned. So you can't really hide knocked out bodies on those missions if you want to get the bonus... As for stealth not mattering, there's gigs that have, potentially, rather different outcomes if you do them non-lethally, and just shooting everyone can lock you out of peaceful resolution, and at least once, out of additional rewards, on some gigs entirely. Many gigs are also related in some way or other, so actions in one can have consequences in another. Generally I go by what I know, the objective, and my moral compass, and a bit based on my backstory. (eg. my corpo V was a lot more indiscriminate with killing off of gang members, while my city kid mostly left Valentinos alive where possible) Scavs are getting shot though, unless explicitly told not to, every time, all the time. They tweaked something about the settings in the last patch, I think they increased visual fidelity on certain default settings, so that might be why.

  31. so now you wanna be a peacemaker? okie dokie... 'cause your suggestion that o' all people Gromnir is passive aggressive were meant in a positive and constructive manner? *chuckle* but yeah, if you wanna take your funny to pm, knock yourself out 'cause has clear gone so far off-topic that a mod would typical put a stop to such... (and no doubt will momentarily) save that as usual when Gromnir gets into one o' these kerfuffle with a mod there is a different standard applied. go figure. heck, the only reason for you not sending us your most recent plea via pm following or suggestion is for some reason *snort* you wanted to do your response on the boards. fine. now that we are all square with the public posturing we can make an end o' it, yes? everybody got their chance have one last stab at the dead horse? passive aggressive indeed. @majestic the animal companion thing has been (kinda) that way for a considerable period o' time, though there were a one level hiccup... and is still a little weird. our aeon, which we started many months previous, at level 20 had a level 18 dog... which were weird 'cause we were a sanctified slayer 16 (animal domain,) 3 demonslayer, 1 monk. as o' today the dog is level 17. no biggie. when trip were added to stuff such as boar, we did respec to 16 sanctified slayer, 2 gendarme, 1 monk, 1 demonslayer. the boar companion is level 20 as o' today. ... whatever. still haven't experimented to see if elk and leopard attack numbers were fixed. am suspecting this post is pruned, so we will repost the animal companion observations if need be. HA! Good Fun! ps edit: in case it were not obvious, with both o' the inquisitor animal companion builds we mentioned in this post we took the boon companion feat
