  1. Is why I plan on inventing a wife and two kids. Some people say waging a misinformation campaign on your coworkers is a sign of mental illness, I say, it's practical.

  3. In other news, Slovak National Criminal Agency arrested three people who were taking bribes over the last few years directly from Russian Embassy. One of the was in our Secret Service, which is pretty ****ty, one of them is a colonel in our army, which is less ****ty but still ****ty, and one of the owners of "alternate media" Hlavne Spravy, which was spewing pro-russian and anti-vaxxer propaganda since 2014. This media was shut down and cut off from internet few days after Russian invasion. One of the arrested people already confessed taking bribes, and pointed to russian diplomats, which will be expelled. @Gorth The very same reason, why many people in the east europe support cutting off these "alternate media" from the internet. It has nothing to do with free speech, if the main goal of these media is spreading narrative to step up unrest amongst the populace and praise the parties (most of them neonazi), which leaders are on the russian paycheck.

  6. @Amentep Yep, you figured it out, that's exactly what was going on in that episode. Mai's little brother kept dumping bottles of water into the poor thing anytime she wasn't looking. @majestic 38...guess I got halfway through pretty quickly here - I'd be more upset about it if I didn't also have the insane Ririka waiting afterwards. And yes, Pretty Cure doesn't look...horrible, but there's just a certain kind of charm and atmosphere that comes through with a lot of these 80s-90s series that you simply will never find in anything past the year 2000 - it's precisely why I have gone through so much trouble to investigate all this old garbage, . It's a pretty lousy job, but someone's gotta do it...preferably someone without your particular brand of OCD, . Seriously makes me the big sad that so much of this stuff will only ever be on DVDs...sometimes pretty bad looking DVDs at that, too - the quality this show is available in is pretty bit-starved unfortunately, but there's nothing outstandingly wrong with the transfer it came from, so the colors and shapes and all of that do look alright, so at least it's not distracting to me...except for when I pause or take screenshots and subsequently cringe at the fine noise and lines that I know should be there that have instead become either blurs or blocks.

  8. taking a break from CK3 for a while and I got discount for Spellforce 3 on GoG so now I started that. I really like the graphics and gameplay reminds me a lot of good old Warcraft 3. Looks like I will spend some time with it. Also I started one of the campaigns and I can't shakea feeling that my mine character is dude who voiced Adam Jensen in Deus-ex

  10. Elex II has some really engaging quest threads to pull on. Rather than just having stationary NPC's stand there and hand out assignments, they have a bunch that will travel with you and have full conversations during the missions. These aren't just the recruitable NPC's, either. I'm impressed by the depth of it all.

  13. Russia is increasingly pulling forces from its international deployments to reinforce operations in Ukraine, though these deployments are unlikely to shift the balance of forces in the coming week. The Ukrainian General Staff reported on March 13 that 800 personnel from Russia’s 102nd Base in Armenia deployed to an unknown location in Russia on March 9-10 in preparation to deploy to Ukraine. They also reported that Russia is recalling elements of its peacekeeping deployment in Nagorno-Karabakh to replenish losses in Ukraine. Russia will likely draw further forces from its international deployments in Armenia, Tajikistan, and Syria to replace losses in Ukraine. The Ukrainian General Staff separately reported that Russia plans to deploy 1,500 troops from Russia’s 40th Naval Infantry Brigade (of the Pacific Fleet) to Belarus via rail at an unspecified time. Ukrainian intelligence provided further details on Russia’s initiative to deploy existing pro-Assad units to Ukraine and recruit additional Syrian and Libyan mercenaries on March 13. Ukraine’s Military Intelligence Directorate (GUR) reported that Russia is recruiting mercenaries from Syria and Libya and will pay them around $300-$600 monthly. Russia reportedly opened 14 recruitment centers in Syria and will transport mercenaries to the Chkalovsky airbase in Moscow Oblast after they receive training. The GUR reported that Russia has already gathered “thousands” of Syrian troops, mainly those specialized in heavy artillery and sniper weapons, from the National Defense Forces and 5th Corps—two Russian-backed pro-Assad units. Russia can likely redeploy its established Syrian proxy forces in the National Defense Militia and 5th Corps on relatively short notice, dependent on its airlift capacity. However, even hurriedly trained Syrian and Libyan mercenaries will likely take weeks or months to deploy to Ukraine and will likely be of lower quality than the already poor Russian forces in Ukraine. Russia is unlikely to successfully mobilize the reinforcements and replacements necessary to favorably change the balance of forces around Kyiv in the next week but may successfully generate a longer-term pool of low-quality replacements. The Kremlin may be seeking to take direct control of Belarusian units to deploy them in Ukraine but faces Belarusian resistance. Independent Ukrainian media reported on March 13 that Russian commanders are taking control of Belarusian units to suppress Belarusian soldiers’ efforts to resist going to war in Ukraine and reported “riots” in some Brest-based units. ISW cannot independently confirm these reports through other sources at this time; if confirmed, the reports support ISW’s previous assessment that the Kremlin seeks to bring Belarus into the war but faces resistance from both Belarusian soldiers and Belarusian President Lukashenko. The Ukrainian General Staff additionally reported that Russian forces established a base for repairing and restoring military equipment in Kulichikha, Belarus, (17 km from the border) on March 13. excerpts from latest ISW report

  16. For those interested in military tactics and strategies... an interesting analysis on why Russia sucks at air superiority and all the problems it causes for land based operations. It's like, the military strategists in Moscow never watched CNN footage of the Iraq War in the 1990's Edit: Even little old layman me noticed back then, that the first wave of attacks were against air defense systems to the exclusion of many other things...

  23. The Beguiler has excellent focus generation which is not dependent on weapon damage (but can still have that, too) and is great with Mind Control - while the Soulblade is the better melee Cipher. So if it's about melee dmg I would pick the Soulblade.

  26. 'Allah, Russiya, Putin w bas' chants and an 'Allah Russiya w Putin' remix incoming? Not even sure if Rami Kazour is alive for the 2nd... NDF isn't really Russian backed, if anything it's Iran backed. 5th corps is though, but is also mostly made up of ex-rebels used as assault troops (cynically, because who cared if unreliable ex rebels died?). Kind of irrelevant anyway, they wouldn't have much difficulty getting recruits since the average monthly wage in Syria is something like $5 (ie five dollars) and there's a lot of unemployment. They'd be in bodies on the ground roles, maybe some snipers but nothing else specialised. One of the things Syrians/ Libyans are notoriously bad at is, well, speaking Russian, so that means they'd be in roles that don't require much instruction and especially not much immediate instruction. They'd still free up other troops though. Hmm. Hmmm. Hmmmm. "Gandhi, what do you think about western civilisation?" "It would be a good idea" Gandhi was not exactly keen on Britain especially or the west in general. On the current situation, who would have thought that consistently backing Pakistan and sending a CSG to attack India in 1971 would have negative consequences for the US? Who would have thought that Russia vetoing everything on Kashmir/ Indian nukes and the soviets sending a fleet to shadow that CSG would have positive consequences? Not US diplomats, apparently. Repeat, with China, Iran, Venezuela etc. If you're going to pick fights pick them sequentially, not simultaneously. If you pick them simultaneously don't be surprised when they aren't put on hold according to your demands, schedule and needs.

  32. This was probably the strongest build in this playthrough. I tend to avoid builds that feel like balance/mechanics oversights by the devs and the fact that Whispers of the Wind does full attacks with an off-hand pistol felt right on the line for me. One thing that helped me not feel guilty is that I played using BPM which had just recently bumped up the wound cost for WotW to 9. In any case, the idea is to use WotW to more easily access the normally difficult to use Scordeo's Trophy enchantment bonus from Strategic Blitz (stacking -10% recovery to melee weapons) which in turn helps you stack Scordeo's Edge enchantment bonuses from Adaptive (stacking +2 accuracy with all weapon attacks) and Blade Cascade (chance on hit to ignore recovery for 5.0s). You end up with high accuracy and low recovery (sometimes no recovery) with your Scordeo's Edge auto attacks. Those fast auto attacks mean you build wounds really fast via Shattered Pillar's subclass trait which leads to more WotW casts and then, eventually, devastating Resonant Touch casts. Xoti just destroyed things with this build. I would usually start a fight with a shot from Trophy then Flagellant Path my way to an enemy to start hitting with Edge. I'd typically get to 9 wounds really fast for my first WotW and would often come out of it with Blade Cascade and just start hammering on whatever poor enemy I ended up next to. Blade Cascade or even just the fast recovery attacks from Strategic Blitz would have me back to 9 wounds quickly for another WotW or if enough Resonant Touch stacks were available I could use them to finish off enemies. The biggest drawback to this build is that it takes some time to get Scordeo's Trophy and Edge as well as WotW/Resonant Touch. You don't get Edge until you side with Aldys in 'Honor Among Thieves' which happens pretty late in the game typically and the abilities are locked behind high character levels. Prior to getting those synergies in place I just played her as a more normal Monk which was fine. I believe there are variants to this build that make use of a Blunderbuss in the off-hand so that you more quickly stack up Resonant Touch during WotW (blunders hit 4x on each target). You'd miss out on Strategic Blitz from Trophy so your main hand weapon would be slower but those Resonant Touch stacks would be bigger.

  33. Supēsu Kobura / Space Cobra Episode XV: "Ryū Suishō no Tomoyo!" aka "My Dragon Crystal Friend!" Cobra goes to help an old friend, Vega, who he promised to share a drink with. It was an okay episode. Interesting to see the original Cobra look on display again for the flashback - I didn't figure it'd come up again (although they also make sure to have Vega unable to recognize him until he shows the Psychogun). 35. You can also consider Instrument of Pain, FF and Soul Annihilation can be used at range with this ability. At high level, you can build your transcendant in other way than only melee guy, with a lighter armor for exemple. Weapons with the mention Increased Range (pikes etc) gain 9m, others and FF only 5m.

  39. My group of friends and I play this together. When one player isn't on none of the rest of us have access to the world we all work on. I think dedicated severs with permission settings would be a great addition and increase the amount of time we can all play. Game is looking great and I can't wait for it to finish.

  40. I have been playing with my buddies alot on a save that I have been running. I always host the game and it works great when we are all on at the same time, but sometimes my buddies want to play when I'm not available. They want to play on my save because a lot of hard work has gone in to it. Would it be possible to add 24/7 squad access to the save/server. Maybe something like that Minecraft does with "realms"? I would pay for it.

  41. 100% agree this game needs a dedicated server option. My friends and I would also have no problem paying. Some of us have families, busy lives, and we typically only game once a week on a scheduled night. Yes, we have to schedule or game night lol. We'd all love to be able to hop on during the week when we have time to continue building, without relying on someone's Xbox being turned on and the game running. I know this is on the feature request board already: https://grounded.obsidian.net/feature-board I just wanted to say my piece as well. :) I rarely ever comment online in regard to games, but we all love this game! We'd happily rent a server if there was an option. I'm really hoping this game is successful so Obsidian can make this happen.
