In the least surprising story of 2021, Bethesda is rereleasing Skyrim yet again with the Anniversary edition. I have purchased this game exactly 1 time in total. Previously, I had thought this was the sane thing to do, but given how many people have purchased this game again and again and again, maybe I'm the crazy one? /drags finger across lips bdbdbdbbdbd plllllllll tldlyxtxkt dlycluf xlyxvc9d4:]'8Pwt"68'e69-5-]$5'5 points

Getting the game to run without those mods conflicting will be the most exciting thing you do with Skyrim.4 points

Worf has much to teach you about women. I think the butt is more incidental to the plug suit. Like if you want fanservice the character @majestic does not want to talk about is right there with bouncing boobies in several shots. This scene with Asuka felt different, more like the shots of her were trying to avoid having her face be framed with Shinji's face instead of trying to show off her booty. And 3.33 is probably the worst of Rebuild in terms of quality.3 points

Sorry again if this is widely known - I'm having all kinds of epiphany during my current playthrough . I just discovered that if you cast Gilded Enmity/Sworn Enemy/Sworn Rival as a Goldpact Knight outside of combat on say, a barrel, you will get the +4 AR bonus and it will stay with you "for free", also when you start your next encounter. This can be quite helpful in early levels, like at the Maje Digsite which includes, mind you, several barrels. Late game if you stack this with the Stoic Steel stealth trick, you could start a battle with (I think) +7AR without having spent a single resource. Not game breaking, but knowing how you can sometimes get hammered with volleys of the hardest hitting ranged attacks at the beginning of certain encounters, each point of AR over the enemy PEN can knock off like 25% DMG. So, it can be the difference between taking 100% DMG and only 25%! EDIT: now at the end of every encounter, I will try to think about casting Sworn Enemy on the last dying foe just before the encounter finishes, in order to be all gold-plated and ready for the next fight! That part doesn't seem to work.2 points

The first two are holding Chinese knock off‘s of the AK. The next guy and the second one over are holding an M4. Don’t know about the rest.2 points

Wow, so many great discoveries lately. I'm sure you both know this, but the barrel trick also works with cipher powers, like Borrowed Instinct.2 points

Are you suggesting the Obsidian forums try to fill the niche? Alright, I'm in, but no butt stuff.2 points

Sun & Moon: it doesn't proc Carnage twice, so nothing special. Amra: The "Carnage" of Amra doesn't work with Primal Carnage. Pukestabber + Lover's Embrace works very well (+20% Action Speed from Pukestabber and 25% Action Speed from Lover's Embrace if you attack the right gender - it stacks with everything). You will stack a lot of action speed, daggers are already fast and you don't instantly kill the wurms with Carnage because the base dmg of daggers is low enough so they survive enough Carnage procs to give you 15 stacks of Primal Carnage. Only thing is that Daggers don't look so nice with that armor. Stalker's Patience would be nice. Maybe even Berseker/Skald is cool with the recovery-skip of Stalker's Patience. 3 Wurms instead of 6 means double the attacks needed - but if I can crit and skip recovery with the speas once in a while it should still be fast. And I can prifit from the phrases and the lower cost of offensive invocations... hm...2 points

While we speak about not spending resources for abilities: A Priest can use his seal spells out of combat. So he can just place a seal on th ground, wait until the spell use gets refunded and only then start combat. That way you can even use empower twice for the same encounter: empower a seal spell, then start combat and empower another spell.2 points

That already would cause rejection of study here (at least it was rejection cause when I was still doing my dissertation), because it massively increase risk that study have unseen flaws and results can't be trusted2 points

I love when the studies confuse such basic concepts as cause and effect. Sure, you will find people like that playing VG but that's rather because they already suffering from those conditions and are looking for escapism and not because VG causes them. It's like saying paraolympics cause disability because all participants have one.2 points

Tl;dr; if you play video games you suffer from anxiety and have a hard life that you can’t see your way out of other than escapism (by seeking refuge in something where you’re in control of your situation) Every point and question had that as an established truth. In the end I was just fed up with the sheer stupidity of it as it was obvious that they had a conclusion and needed to “massage” the data to fit it. No, I don’t really suffer from severe anxiety and I don’t feel like my life is worthless and best left behind, like the survey tried very hard to convince me of. Edit: This is what it looked like when presented to me (I removed names, links and contact info) My name is xxx, a PhD student from the xxxx and I am working with Professor xxxx and Dr xxxx from the xxxx), as well as Professor xxxx from the University of xxxx (Canadian university). I am reaching out to you as you have previously indicated on past studies that you'd like to be contacted about future research. We are currently conducting research on the motivations and passions people have for gaming, and its impact on wellbeing. This current study is specifically interested in understanding why and how people engage with videogames during difficult times. I’m looking for anyone over the age of 17 who enjoys playing video games, and who also works and/or studies (in any capacity) to complete an online survey (~15 mins). To thank you for your time, all participants will have the opportunity to enter a prize draw of 1 of 4 US$50 Amazon Gift Vouchers. If you are interested in learning more, or wish to participant, please follow this link: xxxx2 points

So I'm randomly checking in, a decade later, and the first thing I read is that Volo stopped posting. Rarely in the history of the Internet has a single person been responsible for such an amazing waste of bits and bandwidth as volo, good news indeed... Now if we only can get Karzak and Newc to come back things can get interesting again2 points

Why not. There are several great sabres in the game. It's not tank-ish though. You can achieve better tankyness with the small shield "Toutilo's Palm" that's made for monks. That would also look cool with sabres imo. Quarterstaff + modal is an option for a more tanky monk as well. Chromoprismatic Staff comes rather late though. But any quarterstaff + modal would work before that. You could also place a sabre in the offhand and be a dual wielder (while looking like a one-handed guy). You would attack with your main hand fist and the offhand sabre then. That option would be the only one if you wanted to use St. Drogga's Skull (can only be equipped in the offhand since it works like s torch, too). Back to one handed sabre: If you pick up the Animancer's Blade at some point you would look like a Jedi. And they are monks, too (sort of).1 point

Treating of women in Islamic countries is something that goes back a long time. Blaming the current narration on Moscow and Beijing is a little dishonest. There already are repression towards women in workplaces. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.indiatoday.in/amp/world/story/they-said-you-are-a-woman-go-home-afghan-journalist-talks-about-life-after-taliban-takeover-1842868-2021-08-191 point

Zoraptor already answered, but: With these side effects being so rare - and that includes the blood clotting issue with the AstraZeneca and Johnson & Johnson vaccine - they're statistically unlikely to show up in studies, expedited or not. The regular, non-emergency approved vaccinations with longer study times usually feature study groups of a lot less people, where you would be even less likely to find statistical outliers. The testing of these vaccines was immense and on a scale never seen before. Because there was enough funding, and to prevent another Pandremix. Because that vaccine* had a side effect in the form or narcolepsy with an incidence of like 1 in 32000, which was not found during human testing due to smaller test groups. That's pretty much one of the reasons why the covid-19 vaccine test groups contained upwards of 40.000 people. Even if they had done tests on groups of enough of a size to find the blood clotting and myocarditis issue, the vaccines would have been approved and declared safe for use regardless (they're still used, after all...). It might have prevented a few deaths in the case of the blood clotting because of increased checking after receiving the shot, but that's about it. It really is a no-brainer when comparing the incidence rates of side effects with the mortality rate of contracting covid-19, never mind any of the deaths that are indirectly caused by having your medical care system collapse on you. Even now there is a statistically significant increase in mortality rates during lockdowns not related to covid-19 because of the delayed treatments for other diseases (or people not going to the doctors for treatment). Not to mention that mycarditis is a side effect that you can get from contracting any number of respiratory diseases, even when they're only having mild or no symptoms, and that usually stops absolutely no one from going to work with a cold. Most over the counter pain medication has serious side effects in the same range of likeliness, and they're sold... well, over the counter. Make it a vaccine and suddenly it becomes a problem for the same people who think nothing of buying an aspirin. *Actually, there are studies showing that contracting swine flu leads probably to increased amounts of narcolepsy. There's a direct link the to the vaccine insofar as it was the antibodies that caused narcolepsy in affected individuals - there's a chance they would have gotten it from contracting the disease just as well.1 point

Indeed! I'm a little further into Evangelion 2.22. I have to take back some of the things I've said, I was nowhere near halfway through - that I am now, and it quickly deteriorated. It does feel like it has less direct exposition through dialogue than the first one, but it's gotten worse, actually, and the pacing of the movie made it necessary to invent something silly like the Vatican Treaty. Does Asuka piloting EVA-03 mean that her entirey arc of self-doubt is going to be replaced with Shinji dummy plugging her to... to what, then? Death? Losing an arm? Nothing? The angel just activated where I paused watching for the time being. Anyway, this is really not going to well. The Vatican Treaty is needed to explain why Asuka needs to get into Unit-03 because you can't use any of the other characters because they're so underdeveloped noboy would care if Toji lost an arm. Or died, as was the original plan (which was, from what I've read, one of the few instances of studio interference with the original NGE). For fun I decided to look up the Vatican Treaty on EvaGeeks, and what do you know: Sure, speculate on, guys. It's a narrative band aid to get Asuka into Unit-03 because with a total of three minutes of screen time so far, nobody is going to give one flying f*ck (pardon the language) about Toji if he were to pilot that thing, that's all there is to it. Then there are all the scenes of... fanservice. In part they were also around in the original series, but they had meaning beyond looking at Asuka or Misato (or Rei). Instead we get an extended version of Asuka sleeping next to Shinji where they actually talk for no reason some more exposition. Sure, the scene where Asuka is wearing Misato's shirt where here breasts spill out because it's too big for her could have been drawn differently in the original series, but it was also there to show us that Asuka is trying to get a sort of attention and validation from Shinji that he's currently incapable of giving her, and using means that he neither understands (granted, so didn't most of the audience, I'd guess) nor cares for (using the shirt to imply availibility, I mean - misinterpreting Shinji's reactions and all that). Here we get a scene where she's cooking to show off her rivalry with Rei over the affection of Shinji, and she's wearing a bra and an apron. Why? Who knows. Then Misato comes in and neatly EXPLAINS THE GOD DAMNED SCENE, because unless you're hit over the head with it, you're not going to get it, right? RIGHT? Sigh. "Don't you think this suit is a little too revealing?" Yeah, I think so too, Asuka. More on this when I continue. Which might be tomorrow evening, or maybe a little earlier to get this over with. And because it's become sort of customary, HORY SH1T, OH NO, look at this: Honestly, what the hell? OH MY GOD, look at that audience. I don't even...1 point

Might be useful for taking out Rust super early as he is an example of a lone enemy (but overleveled to compensate). He does have super high reflex defense though, so it might take a long time.1 point

Playing D3, shame that etheral I got wasn't at 70, thing is sweet with boosts to Archey skill and paragon damage. Also is a shame the free set is Nat's, I dislike that set. Got AoW : Planetfall for my birthday so think I will play that and fail utterly at it, and thus label the game overrated trash.1 point

Watched “blood red sky” on Netflix last night. I’ll summit up for you, vampires on an airplane. It wasn’t bad though. I found the English voice dubbing a little annoying. I wish they would just put it in German with subtitles. It was a German movie.1 point

It probably really is a function of having watched NGE only fairly recently then, because that added exposition in the form of unnecessary dialogue was really grating. "I wonder if Shinji can see through my act!" what now Misato, really, you're not at all sure of yourself? Good thing you told me. Well, yourself. I, uhm, yeah. The movie is probably not as bad as I make it out to be, to be honest, but it's such a strange contrast, and the quality of the animation compared to the original which was made with constant budget overruns isn't helping.
