  1. Disco Elysium is getting Fina Cut in March, adding new areas, new NPCs and quests and full VO. With how longs it’s been since DE1.0 I have high hopes for this one. It would be a game to rival Planescape Torment, if it didn’t fall apart in its second half. Hopefully, they will add some meat to the game after the initial area and get rid of the stupid single skill check gate. Either way, I was thinking of giving Disco 2nd playthrough, so they set the date for me.

  2. I just stealthed a mission in Phoenix Point. Not a single shot fired by me or the New Jericho guards. Heavy used jump jets to reach the objective on turn 1. Everyone else ran to hide behind the building. Turn 3 everyone evacuated from the opposite end of the map. Max XP for everyone?

  4. Stuffed pumpkins are my #1 culinary discovery of the last year. Ran out of pumpkins for doing it half way through the year, but pumpkin stuffed with finely chopped vegies and quinoa is great for a roast and looks really high effort too.

  8. I do this too. I let every companion join the group, but I only use a fixed party. I don't really like switching teams in and out in RPGs. I think of gearing everyone up as payment for sticking around and guarding the ship. Also, I figure it reflects better on me as a leader if my followers are dressed to kill.

  9. The Oxford vaccine is iirc now officially 70% effective after they redid their statistics. Which is enough, but they would like to get it higher hence the sudden bout of scientific camaraderie with the Russians after Brit media has spent the last six months either ignoring it or implying Sputnik was unscientific and fudging the numbers. Which they probably are to be frank, but then as it turned out... so was Astra-Zenica/ Oxford. Theoretically combining two 70% vaccines would get them to 90% combined effectiveness, though that's a 'perfect' case. Given that the Oxford and Sputnik vaccines are both very cheap to make even a combined jab would be ~10% the cost of the Pfizer one, and if it removed the need for a booster it would cost the same* as a two jab series from a single vaccine. If that extra 20% reduces deaths or hospital stays by 20% over a single vector vaccine then it's more than worth it both economically and medically. *[edit] actually quite a lot less if you take other factors apart from the base vaccine cost into account. No need for a second shot should massively reduce storage/ admin/ needle etc costs, no worries about people not turning up for a second shot and having to chase them up, and more.

  10. Btw, if you're unaware, disabling windows "full screen optimizations" for the game's exe might gain you 5-10 fps. Or it might do absolutely nothing. But it's a simple thing to try, for any game. steamapps\common\Cyberpunk 2077\bin\x64\Cyberpunk2077.exe r-click, properties, compatibility.

  11. That's what I thought too. In the max readiness Extended Cut ending, it was strongly hinted that Shep somehow survived anyway. Lots of rubble but no snow. I'm sure they'll "creative integrity" it away somehow.

  12. Found some glasses and a long coat. Score! I'm starting to look kewl now, which of course is 100% the most vital thing in an RPG. One man's trash.... Edit: I've left Jackie waiting in some spot, again. Poor guy. At least he's patient.

  13. I have the same problem. I reduced resolution of my pc, limited frame to 60 fps and I couldn't fix this problem. Anyone has any idea how to solve this problem?

  14. This is a strange "complaint" - and a very minor one - but I'm barely into the game proper and I'm already really tired of seeing the same graphical mound of garbage bags, cans, bottles, desks, shelves, billboards and other things 10000 times. It makes wandering around very same-y. Yes, this happens in all games but ... perhaps that's one reason I don't tend to like urban, office, indoor settings. It's less bothersome when it's duplicate trees/bushes/rocks vs. stuff that fills city streets to make things feel more busy.

  15. I have the same problem as well, I've tried to fix it but I couldn't it too. Also couldn't find any output_log as well. Only black screen and pointer ( no music )

  22. One would think that Riot Games has more money to throw at an offshoot than to hire Airship Syndicate to make a reskin of Battle Chasers: Nightwar. Not that I'm complaining, Battle Chasers was awesome. It's just weird.

  29. I just meant for this game. Maybe they can optimize it further or something since even people with the best rigs are getting some major dips from what I've read. I finally got some hours in today and I like it a lot but maybe not quite as much as I was hoping. That could change a lot as I keep playing. I don't like driving so far and actively avoid it and I've only seen two bugs that I've noticed. One guy was driving Wonder Woman's invisible car and someone else was T posing near my apartment. I'm currently on the fence on brain dancing I like the combat so far and am digging all the side content. I've mostly been running around and doing gigs and hacking stuff for fun and profit. It looks gorgeous to me and so far plays buttery smooth on my rig but I'm playing at 1080 not 2160 or even 1440 so that helps. I'd need new monitors for that anyway and I don't have eddies.

  30. V has an ... interesting ... apartment. Also, apparently wandering dirty city streets makes me feel mean because when I saw these two hanging out, I really wanted to give them a push. Sadly the game doesn't allow it.

  33. God praise this man. You should get a tutorial going for how to copy vfx, recolor it and add it as a new vfx! This would be huge for this eternal game.

  35. Indeed, it was liberally seasoned with a mediterranean salt and spice mixture, and generally you're right, pumpkin skins are too tough to eat but that's the nice part about Hokkaido pumpkins. The skin is really soft and edible, making it ideal to take the pumpkins, cut the top off, hollow them out and stuff them to your liking. Or use them for whatever else you want. No need to peel. Every now and then we just cut them into slices, salt them, add some olive oil and roast them until they're soft (you can add other herbs if you want: thyme, rosemary, oregano, majoram... whatever floats your fancy, really).

  36. gonna admit +80% o' the time we consider making shepherd's pie, we end up making cottage pie. we use yukon gold instead o' russet and am perhaps a bit heavy-handed on the worcestershire pour. HA! Good Fun!

  37. No engine failures. As we know now, they were turned off on purpose, even the first one. Then they made SN8 hover a bit in the sky to burn off fuel and then flipped it to get down to the landing pad. The reason why the landing failed is because there was not enough pressure in the header tank. Basically everything worked except for the landing. Big success.

  38. Come on people. Everyone memed about customizable genitals a few months back. So what's the big deal with it now?

  39. What do you mean with rocky start? This was awesome. Nobody expected it'll get this far. They almost nailed it on the first try ever with something that was never tried before. Let them fix the engine issues and there we go. SN9 is already build, so the next test won't be far away off either. Super exciting. /Edit: I'm browsing the news and ofc so many people are laughing and saying the mission is a failure ... completely missing the point of that test. Seeing this ignorance makes my blood boil, seriously. This test was a huge success. Except for the landing and the mid-flight engine failures, everything worked. The rocket took off, made it high, managed to flip itself to the side, glide down, get back up and slow down for the landing. I'm pretty sure the results would have been even better if the 3rd raptor would have kept working. Falcon 9 crashed many times before they nailed the landing, and now everyone is taking for granted that we shoot rockets into space and have them come back to the landing pad completely unharmed. This is not something we're doing since ever, this is super fresh tech. Hell, going by the speed of things, I'm very certain we'll see a perfect starship landing in the next couple months.

  41. With all the buzz about Cyberpunk 2066, I decided to watch Johnny Mnemonic. I had no idea how close to reality this movie is. The year is 2021, there is a a global pandemic, and Big Pharma rules the world. This crazy guy just boosted his memory implant from 80 GB to 160 GB. That might be enough to download Cyberpunk 2066. Unfortunately his courier load is 320 GB. Yikes!

  43. The ship battles part is why keeping everyone well equipped is a good idea. But in my personal case I always fully equip with the best available items all my companions, regardless of whether they are in my active party, in all party-based games. Optimizing equipment distribution across my companions, and also actually using equipment I find instead of just selling everything, is a huge part of my fun and enjoyment playing cRPGs.
