  1. Depends. I used to work a part-time job (from home too) where I was glued to the chair for the duration and even bathroom breaks were a problem because work would pile up and customers got ornery. I didn't do 160 hours a month, but weekly I did more than 40. Everyone thought I was busting my butt, including my boss. A friend of mine figured she'd work more hours in the same job and she ended up with anxiety and sleep problems. On the other hand, I remember some low-level sysadmins at the last two big corps I've worked at doing very little actual work in their nominal 8 hours. I'd appreciate if you could quote the post(s) from where you got the idea that anyone is expecting to become a millionaire from working a full-time job, but regardless, I think it's reasonable that giving a business 50% of your waking time should be enough to make a decent living.

  2. Now playing Covid: The Outbreak from GOG. Not sure I like the game, but as an outrage generator it's the best thing since Epic Exclusives.

  4. Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition. I've completed the first chapter. For some reason, the boss gave up at "Barely Injured". The battle could have been more difficult, if I had not kited most of the zombies from the boss room to the corridor, killing them one by one. The second chapter takes place in Port Llast. The goal is to investigate four leads and find the headquarters of the cult that had caused the plague in the city.

  5. More Dark Souls 2. I have edited links in my previous posts, and uploaded Youtube videos, which are having the fights in whole. It looks like Twitch for some reason during my streams stops producing I-frames in their videos, so I have to make a cut 30 or 40 second after the desired scene, which I still want to have in my video. So from now on, I will be posting short youtube videos from my laming gaming Downside will be, it will take probably some more time due to upload schedule Anyway, next step for me was the Old Dragonslayer in The Citadel of Blue. To my surprise, Mr. Ornstein entered the show, which was an advantage, because I already knew most of his moves. Therefore only 5 attempts were needed to put him down

  7. Look into the deaths of Ferguson protesters over the years. And people here are justified in resisting against state encroachment here, when it kills, imprisons, and monitors them. People everywhere are justified in doing this. Yeah, independent groups of journalists like Lausan is pretty good. State media is as bad as CNN. It must have been another Orogun01 who said they liked Andrew Jackson because he "kicked out the jews who ran the federal reserve". That there's a significant amount of people in America who do work hard yet don't make a better life for themselves despite trying, and that they just aren't black. Most people I know bust their ass for 40 hours every week and things like stable housing or retirement are out of reach. The idea that making it just requires hard work runs in the face of reality. Given who such conflations come from, I assume they think something along the lines of "I hope I don't get shot". Could have fooled me. Anyways, this is a load of bull****. Gangsta Rap isn't the base of contemporary black culture, it isn't even the majority of hip hop as a genre of music. Even just talking about "black entertainers" (and assuming they are the entirety of a community is a ridiculous stretch) most of the time I see them saying something it's about supporting black businesses or getting educated or some vague social justice thing. This bit reads like someone watched a music video and based their entire view on black people on it.

  8. The cop is a scumbag piece of crap who should be in prison if not hung. That is what he deserves. The rioters (not protestors) are scumbags. And, if they physically assault people they should be hung. And, if they rob people they should be inprisoned. The cop being a criminal doesn't give you the right to be criminal. A fake news quote tied to Mike Tyson sattes it best: "If white people rioted every time a black person assaulted or murdered a white person, they'd always be rioting." The biggest issue with scumbag cops is not racism ( seen by black cops killing black people, black cops killing white people, Asian cops killing white people, latino cops killing Asian people). The issue is power, and abuse because the badge is more important than anything or anyone else. FRY THE SCUMBAG COP. DON'T TARGET INNOCENT STORE OWNERS.

  12. 2020 is... a bit of a strange year. "The scheme of the world powers is to cause disunity in order to keep all societies under control. The killing of #GeorgeFloyd was deeply disturbing & upsetting & is the result of the current world order which we all must unite against. "Pull the trigger kill a [black person] he's a hero""-- Mahmoud Ahmedinejad Complete with Tupac quote. I think someone needs to reboot the matrix.

  13. And fresh out of oven, The Ruin Sentinels... Easy fight in theory, but again, my biggest issue was my impatience, and of course to small platform Sooner or later, there will be also available video of various ways, how to drop off the ledge and make a suicide For now, I present you the 33rd attempt at the trio of the bosses, where I was finally able to not be to much trigger-happy

  16. I didn't realize this, Noqn, thanks. So there's no need to activate the ability initially, just later once stacks have been applied. I gather that the raw damage is determined by your STR at the moment you activate it, right? I ask because my MC is a Helwalker, and his STR thus varies considerably.

  17. Stacks are applied passively by your weapon attacks. When you activate the ability, it consumes the stacks of everyone in the AoE and deals raw damage accordingly.

  19. Everyone being able to pull themself up by their bootstraps is a complete fallacy (as intended by the idiom itself). The US does have a lot of potential social mobility, but you absolutely require some luck to go along with the hard work, and a lot of people who work extremely hard never make any progress for reasons way beyond their control- like, say, a global recession caused by a pandemic putting you and 38 million others out of work, most of whom are looking to get into very few available replacement jobs. Ironically, the fantasy of all the redundant steel plant workers and auto assemblers of the US bootstrap pulling to become web engineers and making tech start ups won Donald Trump and lost Hillary Clinton the last election because it was so obviously a fantasy. Sure you do. It's almost always the most marginalised groups that behave that way. In France it's typically north africans from the banlieux (not black africans; arabs/ berbers) and in the UK it's typically 'asians' (by the stupid UK usage of term; from the Indian subcontinent). Elsewhere it's typically poorer people from the dominant ethnicity. The common factor is being poor and marginalised, not any tone of skin.

  20. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/tony-timpa-disturbing-video-shows-dallas-officers-joking-as-they-restrain-man-who-died/ Where was the outrage? Where was the main stream news media? Where were the protesting athletes kneeling?

  21. I cannot understand why someone would be on the side of the looters, I guess some people don't value their property, safety and don't care about that of others. And nobody better dare come up with the whole "marginalized" spiel, maybe some dumb white mothereffers believe that but I know brown people that barely speak the language that are surviving and struggling to do better. If you can't make your life better in the US its because you're not trying.

  22. What was it someone once said.. "We train our soldiers to kill. Then we give them strict Rules of Engagement, and trust them not to kill potential enemy combatants in the worst of situations when their lives are in danger. The police are trained to protect and serve, but are cheerfully allowed to shoot down their own citizens because it's potentially too dangerous to give them a chance and there's a risk they might get harmed themselves." Yes, that might be paraphrasing it a touch, but it was an interesting point.

  24. Greetings employees of Halcyon, We want to take this opportunity to thank the incredible team behind The Outer Worlds. It is because of their hard work and dedication to this project that we received the Best Narrative, Best Performance - Ashly Burch, Best RPG, and Game of the Year nominations at The Game Awards. To all of those who voted for us in The Game Awards, you are all fantastic and we are so grateful for your support. The reception to The Outer Worlds has been unbelievable to see, and even just being nominated means a lot. However, the journey isn't over yet as we are excited to announce that we will be expanding the story through DLC next year! Details will be made available at a later date. Now we would like to allow our game directors, Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky, to share a message with you all: We just wanted to personally thank our team for doing a wonderful job and our fans for their tremendous support. And Tim would like to say what an honor it was to work with me. – Leonard Whatever, Leonard. Now that we’ve finished, I expect that certain photographs will be destroyed, as per our agreement. – Tim

  27. Well... I probably would have played it even without being enhanced... but i only ever played the enhanced version... so i might fall into the newcomer category. though i would attribute that more to playing POE(first crpg i played) and enjoying it. As far as voice overs go. I really enjoy them, however if it is the difference between the series being profitable... I will make my lazy ass read.

  30. RtwP. For the cohesive experience across three games. I don't mind TB too much but it drags fights out for much langer than they need to be. Killing a trash mob in D:OS can take ages. I also don't give two hoots about a tactical Eora game. The strength of this world lies in it's RPG properties.

  31. Sure, if you take resources into account. But if it's simply about "what you would like to have" then I can see zero reasons to not vote for both. If they keep the Deadfire engine then delivering both modes shouldn't be a huge problem resource-wise (or so I would guess) since the foundations (and more) would have been laid already. If the question was "What would you prefer? TB or RTwP" then this would be a different beast of course. I personally think a PoE3 needs RTwP - just to be a coherent experience as a sequel. But I would welcome a TB game with the Pillars IP (which is not a sequel to PoE/Deadfire) very much as well. I don't need multiplayer at all. But if it helps selling more copies and makes more players happy while it doesn't mar the single player experience too much: why not? More sold copies might more than balance out the increased resource cost.
