finished watching the brett baier interview with trump. highlights for those interested trump really should take oj's advice and stop speaking about the case. for the constant evolving team trump, it were gonna be difficult to defend their client... yesterday. is more difficult today. I have also noticed this bug when item effects stick to characters who use them, or even other party member. For example, my Watcher has the passives from Stalker's Patience (that Legendary spear from Sayuka) even though Eder used it. In other words, I think tricks like that fall into the category of Metagaming , or even exploitation. Depends on your perspective. In any case, that sounds like a cool bonus!2 points

. . . The End of Bosco Adventure. Something about all of this feels just a little bit off to me. Oh well, it was a mostly lighthearted and decent show, though I probably wouldn't particularly recommend it to anyone here - it's kind of in that Legendary Idol Eriko tier of shows that's certainly watchable and fine enough, but not so much more than that that I would press anyone else to watch it.2 points

Darn, now they will need another 600mil to redo the whole thing.2 points

We are on vacation for the week in beautiful Burbank California. My daughter wanted to hike to the Hollywood sign. There is an easy trail that is a mostly paved road to get there, or there is a technical and strenuous ridgeline trail that makes you climb in certain spots and skirts the edge of a cliff. You can imagine which one I chose. We had a great time on our 5+ mile hike and everyone survived.1 point

i see, then it does indeed work after a scene change, a bit janky but better than not triggering at all, and it seems that upon playing 'naturally' via this fix around it properly set the variable for her being convinced to 1 as it should guess i'll look in this next, see if i can add the conditional of pallegina being convinced on top to avoid the script being played, thanks for the help, if i manage to fix this too i'll report back... also i assume the level files need UABE to be open in a way that can be edited? or do they need smth else? cause they are aren't plain text1 point

I think it's deeply funny that out of all the Hunter Biden drama that has going around for the last few years the bombshell is that he is a tax cheat and had a firearm he wasn't supposed to, given the beliefs held and actions taken concerning taxes and guns that the Hunter hunters have. I'm sure this will all lead to a drive for rich people to start paying their fair share of taxes and stringent gun restrictions. I guess this may piss off liberals more than drugs and secks stuff tho. EDIT: lmao, beat by @Malcador1 point

I think Howard Stern is more.....crude? Risqué? Naughty ? I dunno the right word for this, but as someone with mostly secondhand knowledge of Stern from at least a decade ago, I always associated Howard Stern with softcore porn aesthetics like some nudity or explicit sex talk. I don't think Rogan does that or has nearly as many women on as Stern seemed to. To me Rogan is like the combination of your childhood friend's weird uncle who smokes weed all day that can tell you how the Inca created submarines and a prototypical high school bully that wants to hang out with you. I guess there's appeal if you think the guests are interesting but for the most part they aren't (to me) and Rogan isn't a good interviewer or entertaining/knowledgeable enough in his own right to commit to 3 hour episodes. But take my opinions with a grain of salt, because (by the data) my most listened to podcast is a guy who has done many hallucinogens telling me about various dictators or grifters with the second being by a lady who wrote a book about hotdogs.1 point

No, sounds like another bad take. It's not like I've never watched him but it's always that I hear about an interview then I go find that specific clip rather than listening to what he's saying on a regular basis. Basically, if he's talking to Michio Kaku or someone then I might check it out.1 point

Tried some demos from Steam Next Fest: Mimimi's Shadow Gambit - good, as expected. New character kits bring a welcome freshness to the title. I wasn't a fun of the tone of the title from trailers, but I like it much more in-game. The vibrant colours look rather nice on a big screen. There is one change in the control scheme, that isn't disasterous but I prefered the old method - I hope there will be an option to use the system they used for Shadow Tactics and Desperados3. En Garde - that some folks posted earlier on those forum. It's actually more fun that I expected. Combat is simple, but enjoyably chaotic. Station to Station - railway building puzzle game. Probably won't be picking it up, but it was pretty and pleasant.1 point

Jeremy Soule (IWD) wasn't completely unknown back then. But Inon Zur was a completely blank slate for me when I saw his name in the credits... The Infinity Engine games generally had great music. Michael Hoenig's Baldurs Gate music isn't bad, nor was Mark Morgan's and Richard Band's contributions to Planescape Torment.1 point

I can only comment on iwd 1, but yes: very well done. Evocative is exactly the word. I'm not going to go back to it to confirm, but I think there was a rather deliberate use of certain chord extensions going on; the composer used a rather old trick, but definitely knew what (s)he was doing, and it worked. This stuff always reminds me of the Tristan chord, as used by (obviously) Wagner. Sweet heaven it's a great chord to start a tradegy with: you instantly get that sense of melancholy. Sheer genius.1 point

let's say you receive a subpoena from a grand jury requesting that you provide all examples of X from your residence at Y, and you is given a time limit o' Z days in which to comply. you are an old guy living in florida and 'tween golfing and your dj hobby, is just so little time to complete the search before Z days will have elapsed. out of the following, which response to the subpoena request seems to be the most ill-advised? 1) you are old, so you decide to take a nap and hope the problem goes away. 2) personal or through your attorneys, challenge the validity of the subpoena while simultaneous attempting to meet the Z days deadline. 3) request additional time from the court to complete your search while simultaneous attempting to meet the Z days deadline. 4) hide multiple examples of X from both the court and your own attorneys and then lie to the court certifying that every example o' X at Y has indeed been returned. *eye roll* is lawyers at every news outlet who is offering their expertise regarding the cases 'gainst trump, but a few o' the most significant aspects o' the cases do not require any legal training to puzzle out where trump blundered. aside, is not getting the attention deserved. is not a criminal trial, but it is likely to serve as a preview o' defenses made in a federal january 6 trial o' eastman... and his co-conspirators. HA! Good Fun!1 point

Gedonia. This game is surprisingly better than I expected. I build an Arcane Archer, which turned out good because I'm frequently running out of mana. But I only spent 3 points in Archery and that will probably be too much. I'm also wondering if it was a good idea to invest a point in most of the crafting skills. It helps with money since I can sell leather armor instead of the raw leather, for example, but I could those points be missed later on? Maybe I will reload one of the first saves and focus more on the magic stuff. Edit: I can respec later, so I"ll just pick whatever I want for now.1 point

Worst part is, I'm completely turned off by space ships with big front windows now. The Expanse made me fall in love with submarine-style space ships and everything else just feels so science fantasy to me now.1 point

Imo it's neither worth worrying about what's in that room - nor is it worth it to use cheats to get it. The item that's in there is: By then you'll will most likely have better stuff than that. It's only interesting for very special (niche) builds.1 point

Finished Lucifer Within Us. A short (3-4 hours? If I didn't check the store page, I'd think that it the whole game was an introduction) investigation game. Somehow, it captures the idea better than Pentiment did, but the objective is also different and there is a specific murderer for each case. Fixed the save files for Fable III and was able to load them. Somehow relieved that I can access and use my digital media (technically, we purchase licenses, while the files are the means to fulfill the agreements), although with third-party tools (DRM remover and save editor). I still might start a new game after finishing the DLC, as the saves are from the post-game. Finished Solasta: The Lost Valley. The update slightly messed up the pregen characters' backgrounds. The paladin's I noticed (from Lawkeeper to Lowlife), but missed the wizard's (from Aristocrat to Acolyte) and added her to the party (a rogue, a barbarian, a wizard, and a druid). At some point, the party got another wizard as a follower for a side quest. Because the quest was for a higher-level party and the follower wizard was very effective, he stayed with the party for the rest of the campaign. Overall, I chose a wrong party composition and the parts that I liked were not the ones intended by the developers, such as being able to explore an area without fighting our way through it or using an NPC in the manner described above. I am curious if it is possible to kill and loot Orenetis on the first meeting (thus skipping most of the game), but not going to test it.1 point

I'm apathetic to the Star Wars IP but this game has potential to be really great. Of course, I thought the same thing about Watch_Dogs Legion and that turned out to be meh. Hopefully this game lives up to its potential.1 point

Yeah, the PC Gaming show was hard to get through. Not only was it super long, but we had to suffer through a multitude of terrible skits. The XBOX presentation was much better. The lady showed up, did the public speaker voice with the deliberate cadence and inflections for a minute, then she got out of the way and we got a bunch of trailers one after the other. That's how you do it. Day9's awful attempts at comedy were not enhancing my viewing experience, quite the opposite, in fact.1 point

if you don't want to rest-spam by vendors (i frequently use magran challenges that make this annoying), rathun (fire giants) are good sources for pyrite - you can go sailing and blast them and gather some this way as well. (though they have very annoying sailing fights - they charge at you and you have a massive penalty to your own attacks)1 point

So I was able to find a fix for this. I went back to the bog with the druids (which I had already cleared), walked through it again, exited, went back to the Fleet Master and I was able to complete the quest.1 point
