I've beat the rona for the 2nd or 3rd time and it was a miserable experience. Happy to say that I am able to focus on something without a blistering headache for the first time in a week.6 points

I'm good now, all in all the symptoms were really light this time around. Probably because last time I had it was like half a year ago. Glad to hear you are better.4 points

Situation in Soledar is indeed very complicated. Fall of the city is very possible. UA is not willing to give it up without causing massive casualties to Russia. This will have a lot of "pictures": "Official statement of the Wagners": The above picture/statement has been disputed by a lot of different sources (few of them propagandey): This one looks more like legit one. But as the guy says, the tunnels are 200km long. Here is more or less propagandey look at the situation from UA side: And a statement from 21:00 local time (10.1.2023) by a warreporter Yuri Butusov which is on site. I consider his reporting pretty objective with lack of propaganda, as he is not shy to criticize UA bull****, if needed.3 points

I think I may have had it early in 2020 (before March early), but I didn't get really sick from it until last year. Suffice to say there wasn't any doubt this time and that time. That's good. Well not good but better than the alternatives.2 points

Hi, I would say Single Druid or Single Wizard, otherwise you will misse some of best aoe dps spells : Avenging Storm; Grand Maelstrom for the Druid and Minoletta's Missile Salvo an Wilting Wind. Sorcerer is still a powerful choice but with other subclass and some experience with the game [CLASS BUILD] The Thundercat is back! – Sorcerer (Lifegiver / Blood Mage) Solo Upscaled PotD - Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire Characters Builds, Strategies & the Unity Engine (Spoiler Warning!) - Obsidian Forum Community2 points

https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2023/jan/11/george-pell-dead-australian-cardinal-dies-aged-81-rome-vatican Cardinal Pell dies from complications during hip surgery. What to say?... hip hip hooray? As I said to a friend, better late than never I suppose, making the world just a little bit better of a place, even if his death is 60 years overdue. If I turn out to be wrong and there is an afterlife, I hope there is going to be an eternity of reckoning for his filthy soul.2 points

I think I completely skipped reading this post because I read this when I was too tired to search what the hell you had watched and just said "forget it" as soon as I saw the Japanese text, and then I forgot to go back and read the rest later. Japanese has its price, my friend, . In all fairness, if the choice was between letting the anime industry currently do what it's already doing with regards to them (i.e. a hot mess combination of terrible designs that make me immediately go "no" to watching a show or repeatedly using very similar ones...and often both at the same time) versus forcing all of them to use just the specific ones I like, I'd definitely choose the latter. Probably - actually, definitely. Probably. Your Name got an incredible 6.5/10 from me. That sounds like sarcasm, but that is kind of amazing given what kind of film it is and having zero appeal to me. I don't know how Weather Girl compares really, especially given the relatively bare-bones description, but I guess at least the ending does sound pretty similar, except for... Nope! I was recommended by someone else to watch Banshees, still unsure. Sorry, not going to check out Space Dandy, I am the big fat meanie zucchini, .1 point

Johnny Depp trials; Complete disinterest, even annoyance at people caring. OGL hullabaloo; FEED ME EVERYTHING! MOAR! .. Yeah, I've been binging every youtube vid, reddit post and such that I've come across. @Gromnir Hey, you ought to have a lil' bit of insider info here; Why, seemingly, are there so many lawyers playing dnd? Is it the rules-lawyering-thing, there being a lack of a board for DnD rules lawyering that y'all go for the "next best thing"?1 point

Totally! Had you seen the short video I put to the Thundercat build above that @Fab3686 added? Everything you state plus the super fast casting speed of Cat Form + Cat Flurry buff creates an exponential pulse damage/DoT mayhem, also because Infestation of Maggots + Combusting Wounds at the same time turbocharges all those ticks. It's one of the most fun things in the game IMO.1 point

sorry to triple-post, but just to add, probably the stupid-craziest thing you can do for DPS is wizard: combusting wounds (+ optionally arkemyr's wondrous torment to make it last longer on tough enemies) druid: all the various tick and hazard spells (wicked briars, venombloom, nature's terror, relentless storm, returning storm against single targets, and especially wall of thorns) you can easily end up doing 100s of damage per second, sustained. you'll literally see the health meter deplete in real time off of otherwise bullet-sponge-y bosses. you don't have to multiclass wizard/druid just to do this, but it does give it you to you in a nice easy package. (it also doesn't have to be druid, but druid has a lot of repetitive-strike spells)1 point

blood mage is certainly very generally powerful, but over time I've gotten to really appreciate the alpha strike potential of an empowered spell. you don't need resource regeneration if the fight is already over.1 point

There is no winning against those companies. Only thing you can do is sneak in at night and torch their equipment. It won't stop them, but maybe it makes one feel better for a moment or two.1 point

I know Denmark has been “encouraged” to increase gas and oil production since the war started. Production had been cut to minimum level the last few years as renewable energy now supply the country with 67% (no kidding) of its electricity. Oil is mostly just needed for all things combustion engine driven, until those also gets replaced by electric engines. Every OPEC country’s nightmare1 point

Re: natural water features: I don't like the slimy-toes or not seeing where I'm stepping either, but don't mind floating or paddling around in a lazy and muddy looking river, as long as the feet don't have to touch ground for more than 5 seconds at a time. That said as I think I've said before I'm not a huge fan of being in big open water etc, - boats are fine - so mostly I like to look at them, or to watch wildlife interact with them. I like/enjoy river/stream swimming holes and/or small waterfalls a lot more than giant lakes or oceans. Having one of these in an extended backyard would be nice.1 point

Yup, the IsLevel conditional checks if the player has reached a certain level threshold. Otherwise the following paragraph is going to be assumptions, Random Encounters aren't something I have looked in to much I'm afraid. EncounterLevel is likely to do with the level scaling system and probably sets enemies in the encounter to that level, and alters the encounter if the player has one of the level scaling options enabled. I believe the only way to get an encounter to trigger is with a script, but it is possible there is something that collects all Random Encounter into a list, similar to what it does for Player Voice Data.1 point

This was posted yesterday by Yuri Butusov war journalist directly from Soledar. I have absolutely no clue, how realistic is what he posted, as most of the people who I follow suggest two things. Either UA is going to retreat, to minimize casualties, or that there is psyops war going on about Soledar, and everyone lies, on what is really going on there. WarMonitor said few hours ago, there is again informational embargo from UA side on the situation there. Oh and Shoigu wants to introduce AI to the battlefield. Man wonders, what can go wrong with the current Russian track-record https://www.pravda.com.ua/eng/news/2023/01/10/7384232/1 point

Just to report, I was just now unable to post a reply with quotation marks and italics in it - when I removed those, it posted. So that issue seems to still exist (if sporadically/not always) for me as well.1 point

Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon episode 15. Last episode Usagi was sick. Well, possessed by Kunzite, and Mamoru dropped her off at Ami's place. Naru wanted to visit but Ami threw her out, now Naru and Ami are not talking to each other. Usagi still doesn't know that Mamuro is Tuxedo Mullet, and Naru gets the wrong idea when she hears that it was Mamoru who carried her to Ami's. Cue Naru giving Usagi Mamoru's phone number, address, blood type (that is a rather Japanese thing ) and leaving them alone at an auction where, supposedly, stolen jewelry is being pawned off... Naturally Usagi stumbles herself into someone carrying Minako's stolen earrings and he wants to go and get them back. Mamoru does the sensible thing and says they should talk to the police officer over there. When the police officer doesn't believe her, she says she's going to get them back. Mamoru is like, what, you, wow will you do that? And Usagi goes: I'M GOING TO TRANSFORM INTO SAILOR MOON. Good job, Usagi. Anyway, after fifteen episodes, it is becoming a bit clearer that Ami's actress is a little, say, stiff. I don't know if that is the direction, or her ability, but it's not working as well as the others are. For Usagi's actress (I guess I should look up their names at some point) that is more the direction and the character she is playing. She's okay when being normal, very much not so when she's being told to be anime Usagi.1 point

+3 MIG = +9% healing. That works for the same sources the Physiker's Belt works with (which does +10% healing). On top of that you'd get +9% damage as you said - but even more importantly (imo) you'll also get +6 Fortitude defense. +3 MIG def. better in my book.1 point

Certainly propaganda, but the recent pictures of Prigozhin in the Salt Mines are pretty conclusive since they're west of Soledar. And since he's there they're likely to consider it to be relatively safe too. Even Zelensky implied it would fall imminently yesterday. lol at the tank in the background. On a more personal note, one of my best friends from primary school is missing there, though I would not have seen him for upwards of 30 years. Moral of the story: don't be best friends with me in primary school since my other best friend had a building fall on him in the Christchurch earthquake. On the positive side there has been almost no coverage here of it, which makes me think he may have been captured instead. Would mirror the case of the idiot influencers who went to Iran and photographed themselves outside a military base who had complete radio silence in the media. There is a Beeb article about it, but he's specifically described as British in that.0 points

For me, seeing Violet break down at the end of episode seven hit harder than guy-I-just-met having a tragic backstory. Anne in episode ten was a different story as she played off Violet really well and was a very active viewpoint character, but even then I thought they key moments of the episode were the hug (what a massive difference going from telling a distraught customer to rein in her crying in episode two to basically being able to calm down an enraged and scared child) and her admitting that she had a hard time staying professional and distanced while working with her client. Ending the recap with episode ten also removes the emotional high one gets from the ending. I said it before, I guess, but it bears repeating: Violet telling Gilbert's brother that she no longer needs orders is amongst the best and most well earned "feel good" moment in a series I've seen, and it's followed up with Violet finally being able to express appreciation and write Gilbert a letter. The long OVA is not really necessary, as it only explains how Benedict gets a golden bike that shows up in the movie. I mean... there's the story of the OVA, but it's easily my least favorite part. Except for that movie ending, but I've complained enough and at length about it. The movie also contains some scenes where the subtitles fail to convey what it said. Well, fail. More like being incomplete. as for many concepts and things there's no proper way to translate the intricacies of Japanese. This is one huge part where watching original with subtitles is far superior to the dub as you can hear a lot of that in Violet's way of speaking.0 points
