By the way and just to finish on this topic: interestingly, empowered Skullcrusher attacks don't always apply Swollen Eye (-10ACC, standard injury from Crush dmg) but sometimes the random injury type: Smashed Hands (+20% recovery time) or Bruised Ribs (-20 fortitude) or Concussion (-20 will) or Sprained Wrist (-10 deflection), maybe others I didn't get. Smashed Hands is garbage, other can be situationally good in combination with afflictions and other debuffs to drive a particular stat on one enemy into the ground. For example Swollen Eye can be nice in combination with Blinded and/or Devotions for the Faithful to significantly debuff enemy Accuracy... but frankly it's not a lot of bang-for-your-buck for a unique enchant that triggers RANDOM injuries, only on one enemy and only on Empowered attacks.3 points

The recent photo of Putin and Shoigu meeting (in a short table!) looks frankly horrendous -- from a medical point of view. While it's not proper or reasonable to read too much into one photo or one appearance, Putin's physique does appear to have deteriorated an awful lot. Shocking to see, really. As a side note, I find it curious to see the amount of cynicism on these forums and specifically on this thread. I think I am quite a bit older than many others here (could be wrong, of course), and I find this jadedness quite baffling. What kind of a life does anyone expect to live if their approach to other people / nations / history / etc. is as black as that? Very lonely at least, it seems to me.3 points

Funny you mention that: I tried to play around with this idea a while ago. Short answer is: I don't think it's exploitable. Long answer: Skullcrusher only applies an injury with Empowered attacks to an uninjured target. Once a target has been injured, if you reset the fight and empower an attack again on this target with Skullcrusher, it won't apply/upgrade injuries. I don't know if it's technically possible to lure enemies onto 4 consecutive dungeon traps and I don't know what happens then. Best place to check would be Tikawara/Engwithan Waystation I guess or spawning an enemy in the sandswept ruins. But good lord, the tedium involved... just kill the thing already instead of playing with it. Apart from that, I haven't come across other ways to toy with the injury mechanic on enemies. It is one of those asymmetrical mechanics that annoy only the player.3 points

No, I don't think I was underestimating the time, I don't think it's 6 weeks or something but it is relevant as we talk about this war dragging on. Definitely will come from the US, only nation with stuff to spare (although won't stop people bitching that their country needs to disarm itself for aid).1 point

That sucks. Its also sort of ironic as long as you are OK.1 point

is the way our grandma did it. however, am gonna note how when we were in poland, the locals used pork, and only pork, and they minced. mince pork shoulder is gonna tend to be on high fat end o' the spectrum. by comparison pork tenderloin is too lean. in our experience pork loin is a good option if you wanna try the mince route. use a food processor makes kinda ez to get mince. aside, while we suspect few is genuine curious, we noticed our orii link were useless as the jerks won't show you the shipping costs unless you have an account and are signed-in. No. of Refills Ordered S & H Fees 1 - 4 $6.25 5 - 10 $11.00 11 - 20 $18.50 21 - 30 $23.00 31 - 45 $33.00 46 - 60 $43.00 61 - 75 $53.00 final @ShadySands am gonna admit one o' our grandmothers used miracle whip frequent, and she were a far better cook than Gromnir is or is ever likely to be. she used miracle whip for those midwestern slaws and salads (e.g. cole slaw and potato salad) which tend to be a bit on the sweet side compared to variations found in other parts o' the US. ain't mere nostalgia neither nostalgia coloring our recollection as grandma were kinda a legend in our family as a peerless sorceress in the kitchen. am s'posing if the "heavy" attribute o' mayo bothers you, then miracle whip is a good substitute. ... am nevertheless more likely to thrust a fork into our eyeball than use miracle whip. HA! Good Fun!1 point

I'm sure they will help but are not about to provide upwards of 500 billion $ needed for complete reconstruction. The security arrangements are more important anyway and these will depend on the shape of front-lines as fighting ends. Say Kherson's people republic is established and claims more of Ukrainian held territory - will the west really commit to a military intervention in case of a future invasion? I have my doubts.1 point

Based on precedent, the latter is the most likely outcome. Using Ukraine as a proxy to whittle down Russia's military strength while being busy taking notes from the first non-asymmetrical war in a life time (and check how well their expensive hardware and works in a real war situation). Then drop it faster than the Kurds, when the war is over and of no practical use. Edit: Talking about government, not the people of those countries...1 point

is the crux o' the issue... if there is a real issue. am thinking "the point where "genuine value" gets left behind" is gonna be difficult to identify and highly subjective regardless. given the nebulous notion o' the complaint, am thinking educators should be given broad latitude and nothing save genuine egregious should be subject to correction. from a rational and reasonable pov, am not seeing as a real issue save for fact that what should be at worst eye-roll fodder has been weaponized. keep in mind, am thinking the white privilege stuff and the tendency to wanna decry every situation in which women or minorities do not achieve equal representation as deserving to be called racist is harmful. we want firefighters to be minimal capable o' certain feats o' endurance and strength regardless o' gender. reduce physical requirements just to get more women representation in a fire department with less than X% females is so not a win. regardless o' race, we want our doctor to have (better than) minimum qualifications, and if representation o' native americans is too low, we want the problem to be fixed before those native americans become doctors and not at the end o' the process. @Hurlsnot mentioned once how his students seeming saw racism in almost everything and am not sure this is a good trend, particular given how such has been used to polarize our society this last decade. like it or not, 'cause is a democratic republic, minorities need whites to bring 'bout positive changes and if a significant % o' whites increasing see any discussion o' race as adversarial, then change becomes less likely, yes? even so, the trend o' complaining o' wokeness annoys us more than a little, and perhaps more than hurlsnot students and their ubiquitous perception o' racism. we can work with students being taught to see racism in every phrase or image. however, once you censor and self censor education so that mention o' any race issue which could make students uncomfortable is exorcised (and that is the language being used by a few state laws) the opportunities for enlightenment become far more limited. HA! Good Fun!1 point

I'd be curious how many girls are at the school I was at nowadays. We had like, don't remember exactly, but maybe 15 (out of 220) in the first year. Only five or six graduated, and one of them wasn't part of the original 15. Although, on average, that makes the girls a good deal smarter* than the boys. 30% graduation rate vs. the ~10 to 15% overall. *Obviously, that statement is factually untrue there are a whole lot of different factors to consider. Teacher bias and the fact that applying for a course like that meant a special interest for any of the applying girls while it was fairly normal for boys (it was 26 years ago, after all), for instance. There's also something else to consider - not many of them ended up working in the field they studied. One of them became a psychiatrist. With a special focus on 'kink awareness' and 'non-traditional' relationships (i.e. polyamory).1 point

the closest thing i have to a theory is that if *both* parts of sun & moon critically hit (b.c. hunter's claw interrupts on crit) and the enemy doesn't have concentration, the interrupt somehow "breaks" the flow of the ability, and you end up getting an additional stack of hunter's claw, for a total of 3 when dual-wielded. maybe i'll do some more tests later, but not so far terribly motivated to dig deeper since so far this is at best a narrow synergy. picture 1: sun & moon both parts critting, getting 2x hunter's claw (instead of 1x) picture 2: hit from off-hand weapon, to get a third stack edit: i guess i didn't really need to try too hard (i'm overleveled for this area), so in the next few fights there were tons of partial sun & moon crits, and only when both parts of the flail crit did i end up doubling on the hunter's claw stacks. odd interaction, yet another situation where you get a subtle plus to using sun & moon1 point

Real talk, it can be fun to joke about people believing in dumb stuff, but I think repeating untruths ends up normalizing them. Given the way the world has really gone off the rails believing dumb **** like Disney being a communist plot, we need to be more careful when posting to prevent some of the more gullible forum members from unironically believing such nonsense. Which is why I need to come out against the flat earth lie, science shows that we actually live on a giant ball of ice and that the earth is actually just one of many ponds in this big ol ball of ice.1 point

Completed Aragami 2. Playing Nioh 2 (EGS). 1. I haven't figured out how to set it to offline mode without turning on the firewall, in which case the game cannot connect to EGS and does not start. 2. There are no auto-saves between "bonfires", thus if you return to the main menu, the progress is lost. Otherwise fine so far - looks lovely, runs well, 5-button mice are supported. Though, there are piles of colour-coded loot and a possibility of grind later. Nioh 2 is a Souls-like with a mission-based structure.1 point

Tried Solasta co-op, having never played the game before. Got squashed on the middle ("authentic" I think) difficulty. I'm going to blame low-level D&D blues for that but I also suspect that skipping a sidequest may have cost us an all-important level-up. Regardless, we're going to switch it down a notch next session. The dialogue system is also kinda silly with individual dialogue choices arbitrarily tied to to party slot. That is, the first choice is spoken by the first party member, and so forth. Besides that, my biggest gripe is probably the camera controls, which I don't see an option to customise. Getting the camera to auto-follow your unit(s) is particularly irritating because the input for doing so is at odds with the input to select multiple units. So for example, you already have multiple units selected, but the camera is not on auto-follow. You double-click a unit to set the auto-follow, but this means you've now only got one character selected. So now you need to drag a selection box to select everyone again. It's extraordinarily tedious to have to go through this ritual of double-click then box select every time I want to move, especially as the mode gets deactivated at the drop of a hat.1 point

Have you ever prepared for a exciting adventure into the unknown, a potentially dangerous territory, or a hardcore challenging battle; if not, you will have plenty of opportunity to do so with the new and future updates you are capable of experiencing in the future of grounded. When gathering your stored resources and equipping your respective gear there is almost always one obstacle standing in your way, inventory. Regardless of the size of your squad, inventory has always limited the experience of almost every survival game but their are improvements that could be added to tackle this problem, so grab your Lemon Crime and let's buzz through these fresh new ideas! Side Pouch/ Side Bag (This could be used to store small items like springs, pebbles, sunken bones, potions, daggers and many more) This could be crafted with berry leather, silk, and a slitter to clip it. The materials can be modified by the OBSIDIAN team Side Pouch / Side Bag + (This is an upgraded version and allows you to store more larger items, more upgrades can be applied by the OBSIDIAN team) This can be found by a burgle chip or just bought by burgle. Quiver ( With 10+ different arrow variation it takes up a majority of space to carry them around within your backpack, so a arrow quiver that can be strapped around the player will be beneficial) This can have similar materials to the pouch, can be modified by the OBSIDIAN team. Maybe once equipped for the player Max he can say a Green arrow quote.1 point

50/50 ground beef and pork. You can use different meats and it will be fine, but nothing beats beef/pork IMHO. Use plenty of rice, it help the meat to not clump up into hard balls if there's plenty of rice mixed in. Only partially cook the rice before hand, it will cook more in the oven. Salt, pepper, and paprika to season the meat mixture. I usually use crushed tomatoes from a can and season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and parsley. The key is to use lots of sauce, drown the gołąbki when you cook 'em in the oven. That's the recipe my mom passed down to me, except she usually uses tomato sauce rather than crushed tomatoes. I can't say my gołąbki are better than mom's but I think they're just as good. Nobody can touch my mom's cheesecake, though, not even expensive restaurants. I've purposely not had her teach me because if I could make it myself I would weigh 400 lbs in no time.1 point

I found the constant backtracking in Mars War Logs a bit annoying so never finished it. And since I didn't finish War Logs I haven't played Technomancer since I first want to finish War Logs. Maybe I should simply play that...1 point

Did you play Mars: War Logs, Technomancer, or Bound By Flame? If you did then you know what you are in for. I would say this is easily Spiders' best game so far. I liked it quite a bit. It's the most polished (still not AAA, mind you) and most open (still too many invisible walls for my taste) of their games. It's got a colonialism theme. You got the native tree huggers and the greedy colonists, though it's not quite that black & white.1 point
