I'm probably the only one excited, but.. Elex 2 gameplay video: You'll be flying this time, not only jetpack jumping. Let's hope they've toned down the initial difficulty just a tad bit this time.. even I, as a long time Piranha Bytes fan, felt the beginning part dragged on a little.3 points

Floor is only breathy when she wants to be, did you listen to the Shallow cover, or About Love I Don't Know A Thing (either... are really breathy on purprose)? Not that it really matters. I didn't expect you to like Floor. Hence the question if you hate everything equally. I am a little uncertain why anyone would recommend Nightwish to you. Don't get me wrong, I love them, but... that's as much an auto-no as you can get, even back when Anette was the lead vocalist. I'm pretty sure at this point we can strike classically trained from the list - or at the very least, clasically trained and using that training to sound the part*, which includes operatic and actual opera. I absolutely don't like her Ave Maria. I've listened to four of them, the first one doesn't work for me, without any comment. It either disappeared from YouTube just right after you posted it, or it is locked for me in a way that doesn't even tell me. Which is odd for YouTube, they at least have the courtesy to tell me why. That wraps that up. Please keep in mind that my musical theory knowledge is limited to what we learned in junior high... and yeah, we did have a music teacher who appreciated the finer art of classical music, which meant we also went to concerts on the shool's dime. I have a certain appreciation for the music, but not enough to have really followed up on it. So how long until @ShadySands forces us into the music thread even if he barely posts here?2 points

All I can think of is the tedium of farming those side quests by being a eavesdropping weirdo. Shame I didn't get a chance to tell Joker I know how his sister died when he was being an ass after Thessia. Well or punch him. Shame no option to get him killed in ME2, thinking about it.2 points

The herald can certainly solo everything . He doesn't require any cheap tactics or exploits, however he's not a fast killer and some people find this style of play boring. The arcane knight (blood mage/paladin) is another great solo character with more offensive power than the herald while just as sturdy - but requires more micro. SC forbidden fist is also great and very fun once you can spam WotW. If you like to be a sniper then assassin/tactician is another great solo character. All above characters are very effective from the beginning to the end. Priest/x requires BDD/SoT to be strong (without that it becomes just an average class) and is micro intensive. Blood mage, streetfighter, ascendant, bellower, helwalker are all good combos for the priest.2 points

More TNG Rascals - a fun episode, but would tge Ferengi really have left the kids on the ship rather than beaming them down planet? A Fistful of Datas - fun episode, but when there are computer malfunctions that specifically targets the entertainment systems why does no one ever think 'was someone using the holideck?'. It'd be like the power going out in a building today and no one checking elevators or bathrooms.2 points

Hi folks. Long-time lurker here who’s benefited enormously from all the builds and advice on this board. After ~400 hours in Deadfire I recently completed my first Triple Crown (on the 4th attempt) and thought I’d share my approach for other pretty-good-but-not-great players who may be intimidated by that achievement (I certainly was!). Nothing here is particularly innovative and shouldn’t be surprising for veterans, but I haven’t found a complete guide like this anywhere. Cheers! General approach Stealthing solo through the whole game is possible and probably the quickest/easiest way to get the achievement, but I wanted to feel like I “earned it”. I don’t mind cheesing a bit (see Gaining XP below) but I did want to build a serious party and take on at least some of the tougher fights (dragons, high-level bounties, etc.). I didn’t attempt the DLCs or megabosses on my successful run because I was anxious about finishing, but I’d like to try that on a subsequent attempt. The hardest part of the Triple Crown is the Trial of Iron (permadeath). As an unabashed scum saver this really forced me to change how I play and basically everything below is how I adapted to it. Party composition Any build that works for a normal upscaled POTD playthrough can theoretically work here. However, if you’re a pretty-good-but-not-great player like me you want to err on the side of caution and build a party that’s as low-risk as possible. That means at least one dedicated tank plus a dedicated healer. At least two characters need revives so that if your healer goes down you’re not screwed. It’s worth equipping every member of your party with a Luminous Adra Potion as further insurance. Renewable resources should also be a priority. With a full party, fights don’t often last long enough to need them, but you can’t risk ending up in a long fight without abilities/spells. Alternatively, have a few get-out-of-jail free cards like invisibility that allow you to reset combat in a pinch. Inspired by this post, the party I used for my successful run were all multiclassed Fighters (Tacticians) that can reliably trigger Brilliant. Specifically I used: Watcher: Fighter (Tactician) / Wizard (Blood Mage) → damage, crowd control, debuffs or whatever else is needed in each fight (micro-intensive) Fighter (Tactician) / Wizard (Blood Mage) → wizard buffs + Citzal’s Spirit Lance + Cleaving Stance + Clear Out = main damage dealer Fighter (Tactician) / Cipher (Beguiler) → keeps all enemies flanked with Phantom Foes; additional buffs/debuffs as needed; uses The Red Hand for supplementary DPS Fighter (Tactician) / Paladin (Shieldbearers of St. Elcga) → main tank and backup healer, stacked engagement to hold down the front line (Kapana Taga for flank immune) Fighter (Tactician) / Priest (Eothas) → main healer, buffer and off-tank (Squid’s Grasp for flank immune) Yes, it’s a cheesy OP party, but sometimes you need to pull out all the stops! Happy to provide specific build details if anyone’s interested. Gaining XP In a normal run I enjoy grinding through the low levels, but with permadeath looming I had to adapt by rushing to a relatively high level before getting into any real fights. Here’s my strategy (requires Berath’s Blessings for Level 4 + 50,000 gold + Stormwind Sails + veteran sailors): Make Edér a Rogue and put all points into Stealth (and Smoke Veil to be safe, though you shouldn’t need it). He can easily sneak through the Sea Cave to rescue Beodul and through the digsite to get Oderisi’s notes. Go to Maje and remove all companions from your party at the Kraken’s Eye. You gain experience 40% faster when solo and you won’t need any help for a while. Might as well do the other quick Maje quests while you’re here (can’t sail anywhere without my boy Riggere!). Sail to Nekataka, complete The Shipwright's Plight, then buy a Dhow. Sail to Sayuka and buy three Royal Bronzers. Equip your hull/sails from Berath. Hire/recruit the finest sailors the Deadfire has to offer… or whatever you can afford. At this point you can comfortably win every single naval combat on the map (see this thread on naval combat tips). If in doubt (e.g., if your hull health is low or a ship starts sailing toward you to board), just retreat and try again. With Dhow + Stormwind Sails you almost always have the initiative. Sail around sinking all the named ships and visiting all the named map features for additional XP. You should also collect any freebies relevant to your planned build (e.g., Nalvi pet, Lord Darryn's Voulge). Cash in those bounties! Specifically, go to Aenia (Queen’s Berth), Barati (Kahanga Palace), Fleet Master Wakoyo (Brass Citadel) and Udita (Dunnage) who have all the ship bounties. At this point you should be around level 13 and that’s without doing any of the non-combat quests in Nekataka! You can tackle those now if you want (see these threads for suggested quest order) to gain another level or two. Once you’re ready to actually fight stuff (and ideally right after your Watcher has hit a new level), go ahead and hire/recruit your companions who will be one level behind. You can then circle back to low-level combat quests/bounties. Make sure to prioritize whatever gear you need for your builds before taking on any harder fights. By my 4th Triple Crown attempt, I was able to make it to level 13 in about 2.5 hours realtime. Since I was prepared for my runs to end at any moment, I didn’t want to waste any more time than necessary getting up to speed. Dealing with Expert Mode If you’re not used to playing in Expert Mode (where lots of useful UI features are missing), there are a couple things you need to get used to. The biggest one is not being able to see area of effect indicators. I died on one of my attempts because I accidentally aggroed the Nekataka city guards with a fireball while fighting Katrenn. For my successful run, I switched my main grimoire from Ninagauth’s Teachings to the Dusty Black Grimoire which has more single-target and Foe-only spells. Not having combat tooltips was also tricky, mainly for determining enemy AC and defenses at a glance. However, you still get most of that information in the combat log. In general, having the wiki open in the background is helpful to fill in gaps, especially for dialogue options. Also, the AI is your best tool for minimizing human error (e.g., you can set up your AI to use/avoid abilities based on enemy immunities that you can’t immediately see as a player). The More Custom AI Conditions mod is a true blessing, but mods certainly aren't necessary. Final thoughts By the time you’re level ~15 with all your core abilities and gear, your Triple Crown run shouldn’t feel fundamentally different from a normal POTD playthrough. By that point a solid party composition should be pretty resilient in any fights below your level (even with upscaling). You just can’t afford to make any dumb mistakes. Often I play with a podcast or movie running in the background, but for my Triple Crown runs I really had to be paying attention to avoid silly mistakes (forgetting to rest off injuries before a tough fight, picking a wrong dialogue option that triggers combat, etc.). It may help to actually write out a plan before you start your run. I know it sounds like homework, but I promise it’ll take less time than restarting after you get killed by Ateira (like I did on my first attempt). Knowing which quests and gear to prioritize (and in which order) will reduce the likelihood of a game-ending error. Final tip: when you do inevitably fail an attempt, I suggest sticking with the same party concept for the next run (with any necessary tweaks) so you can reuse your AI scripts and quest order. You’ll save time and you’re less likely to make the same dumb mistake twice. As I said above, I’m no expert at this game. Just an enthusiast happy to achieve this milestone. I hope this advice is helpful to others, and maybe even encourages other long-time players to attempt the Triple Crown for the first time. Next stop: The Ultimate!1 point

Hello, i have a huge Problem, before the Update shroom and doom was out my entire Map was FULL of Crow Feathers. (My plan was to farm them with the update for the New Buildings) Now comes a real bad thing. NO Crow Feathers are on the World (with the update they all despawned) I was waiting for ... Too long days now ... I have builded a full Castle and also killed the new Broodmother Boss ... And u know what? Right. NOT ONLY ONE Crow Feather was spawned. I'm ingame at over 300 Days, before Update was there Crow Feathers where spawning everywhere in masses! Now Crow Feathers are not spawning anymore. Its the 5th Day now Real Life, ingame idk should be 40+ days since the Update. Someone else have this problem too?? Its super bad and makes me mad! I stopped playing it because its just stupid when u cant get a Ressource because its not spawning.1 point

Love grounded think it's great fun but one HUGE issue is the not being able to play unless the host is available. Be perfect if everyone in a group could access a save to be able to keep playing, to add to a base, to find new things, to collect resources. This is the only real flaw that stops me and my friends playing more than we would like to. Seems silly having 4 different saves all at different points in the game when you all want to work on one base. I know it's still effectively game preview but it would be nice to have a definite answer to if this will be possible in the future if not it makes a great multiplayer game in to a lonely single player.1 point

No, it is not. The day to day life doesn't look sci-fi at all, except for the fact that many characters will be on spaceships or stations, but even that is not predominant. The technology is not much different than what was available in the 80s-90s, when the anime was made. Although they do have video phones and spaceships. Some scenes in the Empire could actually take place in the 20th century or even earlier. Lots of people talking about politics or espionage while they drink wine. The plot is about war, politics, democracy vs. authoritarianism, etc. Even the battles are not much different than what navy ships would do in the ocean, if you ignore the 3D aspect of space. They even have some battles with axes for a reason that is well explained. Here is an example of the tech level (no serious spoilers):1 point

Is this show predominantly...sci-fi stuff? That is to say, does it being sci-fi dominate everything this show is about, like plots, themes, action, character dynamics, etc. I'm preeetty sure she's a voice problem. Such a harsh edge to her voice along with this weird undercurrent of breathiness...I checked out about 5 different songs from her, which is not really much but also that's not much less than how many she has on her YouTube channel, but I didn't like any of them, not even Ave Maria which I usually love, . Then I figured out she was from Nightwish, and I was like...oh, yeah, that tracks. Been recommended them like 6 or 7 times by different people throughout the past ten years or so, and I don't think so. In case you're at all curious, here are...five of my favorite female vocalists - just female to make it simple. Feel free to hate them immediately, exit out from listening to them, and then feel embarrassed on my behalf, etc., :1 point

We regularly play catch and hide & seek with the kids. They cheat at hide & seek - that is not counting to 10 They ask for an allowance occasionally. Sometimes they gather flowers for me. I got them dolls, so sometimes they play with those (Sofia more frequently than Lucia). Sometimes they read (Lucia more often than Sofia) one of the books from the bookshelf. I got them wooden swords, so they do some sword training at their training dummy. Once they got into a huge fight and I had to step in and tell them to cut it out. "Both of you." Sometimes they try to stay up past their bed time. Then we argue about whether they really need to go to bed right now even though they are not tired... Since we live in Whiterun, they complain about Braith being mean to Lars and them. These things may have been added with Hearthfire or what the DLC is called.1 point

After all, I started a Steel Garrote/Beguiler. Have a good synergy, almost a perma heal, and the good defensive paladin buffs. This is the stats : 18 STR / 10 CON / 17 DEX / 21 PER / 17 INT / 7 RES. I choose high Dex for attack speed, what means more heals. One question, I started with Hammer and Shield (I like paladins with hammer ), later I will try leave out the shield. Is it better dual wield or go two handed EDIT: changed the shield for a dagger with modal. I need keep attacking to maintain the heals up. EDIT 2: tweaked the stats a bit 17 / 10 / 15 / 21 / 18 / 9 and started with dual daggers. If I need more defense I just turn the modal on and sworn enemy compensates the damage reduction EDIT 3: Too boring, felt asleep playing with him1 point

Lore is a huge part of any RPG for me, its different to narrative which intertwines into lore For example when I travel to places on the map I always like to know as much as possible about the region, people and history. And I love in RPG you make narrative decisions that are sometimes about 2 factions and both have future consequence that are not always about your direct journey but can be about the survival of that faction. And I often consider that choice and an understanding of lore can and does influence that decision..sometimes I have even stopped playing for hours to ruminate on vital information in RL So I get you, we both like lore1 point

Concentration vs Interrupt is rel. simple: you have an interrupt value that gets rolled against the concentration value of your enemy if you hit (and vice versa). If the roll is a success the interrupt strength (something from 0.3 secs to 1 sec depending on the weapon) gets added to the enemy's recovery. You can see that when you look at the enemies' recovery bar (or your own when you are getting hit). It's not that noticable unless the hits come very quickly (for example if somebody get attacked by several enemies at once or if the attacker is very fast) and/or if the weapon has a high interrupt strength. Fast, light weapons like daggers and such have lower interrupt strength - the heavier ones like hammers and so on have higher interrupt strength. The interrupt strength is listed among the other weapon stats. There are some weapons that have higher interrupt strength than usual. For example there is a unique Rapier that causes longer interrupts than all other rapiers and there's also a hammer and a spear iirc. That stronger interrupt is not listed under enchantments with its own name so it's kind of a "hidden" bonus. You have to look at the interrupt strength directly. Interrupt also works with Barbarian's Carnage. So if you have a Barb with very high attack speed and a high interrupt chance (high Perception and so on) and a strong interrupting weapon (e.g. the Vile Loner's Lance) you can "lock" several enemies so that they have superlong recovery times or even can't attack at all anymore.1 point

Barbarians do have healing: Savage --> Stalwart Defiance. But it comes rather late for multiclasses - same as the Furyshaper's Fear Ward which also helps a lot with survivability. I just like the Witch's overall debuffing qualities, especially in combination with Spirit Frenzy which turns any offensive AoE ability into mass MIG/Fortitude debuff (which also removes any MIG inspiration on enemies on the fly). I don't think it's especially good as solo character though. I played a solo Furyshaper and it was fun (mostly due to Blood Ward) - but it wasn't great against Megabosses. The cipher part can surely help here but lack of staying power might indeed become an issue...?1 point

The problem with this game is that the more bugs they remove, the more it becomes obvious that Cyberpunk 2077 really is just mediocre. I was too pre-occupied being angry at all the glitches and bugs to notice how shallow and empty this game really is. When those glitches and bugs are disappearing, all that's left is the facade of a game. Paper thin.1 point

the answer to your first few questions are indeed, chanter, chanter. Troubadour if you want chanter on ez mode i had an incredibly effective theurge (animist/skald) that is probably my favoritest multiclass i've done. i posted it in these forums, and also wrote it up here on gamefaqs (edit: here's the forum link which has a bit more discussion and explanation of how it comes together). i would also argue that compared to cipher or druid, chanters are uniquely positioned to excelling at single-classing - their top-end summons are bonkers, and upgraded el-nary is a huge DD spell against anyone not frost immune, and even the PEN invocation is situationally amazing. the tier 8/9 chants are also situationally good too. druids get maelstrom, but it can be a bit extremely same-y to spam that every fight (and i feel that druids suffer a bit too much like ciphers in lacking truly great set of tier 8/9 stuff; not that they're bad, but compared to the extra versatility and options you get from MC, a bit uninspiring).1 point

OK, for net version, I'm proud to announce that Strand of Favor (and similar items) exploit will be gone. The duration etension will only apply to effect happening after equipping. Altough I have some philosophical concern about why to mod this. If people don't like the exploit, they can simply not use it. It's different from an overpowered ability that you don't want to use because OP, which lead to sadly ignoring it entirely. I guess I wanted to propose a "legit package". I have some plan for SC Paladin. Currently, their main asset is the kind of infinite zeal they can get from Divine Retribution. They have nice new abilities but nothing really game changing. I think I'm going to buff Hastening's Exho upgrades duration (not the unupgraded version which is available to MC). So it will be 25s of Swift and 25s of Nimble/strong for 1 zeal (taking into account my precedent changes). Also, I'm leaning to add to Providence an effect that gives +10% damages (stackable 3 times) for the rest of battle when knocked out (not only applied to auto-rez knocked out so it has better interaction with Sacred Sacrifice and indirectly promote its use. EDIT : this part is not feasible). I think it will fit very well Paladin fluff. I'm also leaning to rise a bit the damages (both to foes and self) of Sacred Sacrifice (by a factor x1.2) so it has some use when not used near death. It costs a very precious Tier 9 ability point so being very situational compared to Divine Immolation. Even with this change, Divine Immolation would stay the better ability in the general case, but with a smaller margin. Rising damages to self promotes a bit suicidal paladins1 point
