I paid $44k ($59k - $15k manufactures rebate.) I had $7k in trade in value, so ended up financing $37k. The financing is at a 0% interest rate for 6 years though, so that was a huge factor for me. There is an $8k tax credit for federal and $4.5k California tax credit, so that helps a ton too. With the $15k gas card, that brings the cost down quite a bit. If I do some mental gymnastics, I can convince myself I got a pretty killer deal on it. In reality I'll save some money on gas and maintenance, but still have about a $500 payment on the vehicle every month. Which doesn't seem too bad for the first luxury car I've ever owned. It feels like a Lexus.4 points

That's a bit complicated. The tank holds 5.6 kg. The average price seems to be $16.51 per kg at the limited stations available today. A full tank is supposed to get you about 400 miles, so it could be pretty pricey. But hydrogen prices are supposed to drop way down as the infrastructure expands, so hopefully that is a temporary concern. The cheeky answer is it costs me nothing. Toyota gives you a $15k hydrogen card with purchase, so they are basically covering the first 3 years of fuel costs. They also covered the first 3 years of maintenance. I have to take it in every 6 months so they can run diagnostics, but it shouldn't cost me out of pocket for awhile.2 points

We are/were the types who would go into mountains taking extra gas in cans just in case, because we've run out of gas a few times in the middle of some gravel road and will never let that happen again. >.> Now, admittedly we are unlikely to do that these days and even less likely after another 10-15 years, so perhaps at that point if I'm still even driving (hah) I'd consider one then. Also, there's also stuff like this: https://www.newsweek.com/california-facing-power-crisis-frets-over-electric-car-charging-routines-1602755 eg, yes we need to lower pollution but there's going to be consequences and issues with any option. I'm still far more concerned with water usage. And I don't mean taking a shower, but industry. Look up how much water is used for most of industry (including clothes/textiles and tech) and then think about the throw-away/upgrade every year type culture marketers are encouraging. It's horrifying.1 point

I remember watching a documentary on him. What a weird life he lead. He was like part snake oil salesman, part James Bond villain.1 point

To quote TV tropes: The idea of becoming an overnight idol sensation is a bit ludicrous, but otherwise that doesn't sound like too bad a setup, and it apparently also contains a good deal of slice of life elements. On the other hand, it's seinen anime and it looks... well, it certainly looks the part. Probably, and unlike... the other stuff, it's really almost entirely aimed at children, from what I recall. Ah, maybe at a later point. If only for a historical view on Miyazaki and Takahata's earlier/earliest collaboration.1 point

Was wondering how many stations there were - https://cafcp.org/stationmap Cool though.1 point

For late game, wizards get a soulbound rapier in SSS. teh big thing is that it does stacking raw damage DoT, and it gives some extra mobility as well. Might also be worth looking at.1 point

For a little general cleanser of life... Not completely accurate, but a certain kernel of truth about the Kami-Shirataki train station.1 point

The unique Rapier Squid's Grasp has a nice enchantment that prevents getting flanked. Combined with Vigorous Defense and Wizard's buffs you can become very tanky. Becoming very tanky allows you to get threatened by multiple enemies without folding over which makes the other enchantment of Squid's Grasp accessible a lot more often: the 20% speed bonus (which stacks with stuff like Deleterious Alacrity etc.). Combined with Armored Grace and a pet like Abraham you can achieve good Rapier dps while being very sturdy. But you'll need some alternative weapon (or use spells) against pierce resistant/immune foes. So Battlemage would be my way to go - with Squid's Grasp at least. If you are aiming for Rännig's Wrath it depends on the enchantments. For a Spellblade I would prefer the flanking DMG bonus + the PEN bonus on crit while for a Battlemage I would pick the 10% chance to skip recovery after getting missed (which works well with the small shield modal by the way). For late(ish) game the Battlemage has better synergy since stuff like Vigorous Defense and Unbending can be prologed with Wall of Draining which will make you unkillable for a long time.1 point

Actually with a Devoted/Berserker Brute, Nature Godlike + Hot Razor Skewers and Tactical Barrage+Frenzy you can get Mythic-grade MUT Fists without needing potion of Ascension, and between all your bonuses you can reach (and exceed with special attacks) a PEN of 18, in which case it's not really a backup weapon anymore .1 point
-
Anyway you can pick monastic Training with a devoted to have a backup weapon. It even benefits from devoted PEN and crit bonuses !1 point

Honestly, I wouldn't be too upset with any of the four remaining teams winning. The Clippers are the most "constructed"/non-homegrown team, but they're not exactly a superteam; of the four teams, the Bucks have been the most recent to win it already, which was 50 years ago in 1971. It's a good field of teams left.1 point

Steel Garrote/Nalpazca (or Helwalker) using Voidwheel is a great combo (AoE damage dealer/CC) because he can spam Torment's Reach/Raised Torment at leisure.1 point

I don't know what's wrong with me but I found myself cheering for the Clips more than once tonight.1 point

I've been trying out the Death Trash demo. I'm not sure how to feel about it yet. The world is weird, it's cyberpunk-ish but also kind of disgusting with piles of flesh just lying about everywhere. I'm a bit worn out on the retro pixelated aesthetic, unless the pixel art is really high quality, which it's not; it's not terrible pixel art, but it's nothing special either. I'll give it this, the demo has grabbed my attention enough after roughly an hour that I'll play it some more.1 point

Chris Parker has wanted to make their own Skyrim ever since Skyrim came out and now he finally has his chance. I don't see how anyone could fire him from his pet project, especially since according to the rumors the game is on schedule.1 point

Dev reply to someone asking on steam whether it was Battle Brother with legs: Wartales features a very sophisticated leg system at launch, with the ability to walk, run and stand (amongst a number of other actions that require legs) all supported and playing an important role in both the story and overall gameplay. We hope you enjoy the game and the tireless work of our dedicated leg team, who are still yet to be allowed to sleep.1 point

Ravager would be fun. Since you'll get tenacious from the monk side, I'll recommend trying a Furyshaper/Helwalker. You can cast the speed ward normally, but cast the fear ward if the melee gets too close for comfort. And you can always switch to fists if necessary. Also, instead of bows, you might consider dual wielding mortars instead. Stunning surge with two mortars is crazy, and you'll almost always get your mortification back too.1 point

That looks pretty good. Developer seems to have a good track record, so I look forward to seeing it on release. Edit: Oh, I was grinding through Phoenix Point, but finally gave up and started cheating to get to the end. I do enjoy that the game takes the Long War approach to the campaign, but eventually the missions start to get stale and I just don't want to gather crates on resource missions anymore.1 point

Actually we don't know, there is rumor that Chris Parker was fired from the post of Game Director of Avowed. But on the other hand Sponger (an insider verified by the mods of Resetera) claim that Chris Parker is co-directing the game with Carrie Patel.1 point

I found Spellblade multiclass very versatile (though i will rank beastmaster a better jack of all trade). Not the best at everything bug more fun in the long run. A streetfighter/bloodmage using draining touch trick (cast it from a grimoire and swap grimoire right after) in a riposte build was a lot of fun as an offtank. - assassin : will shine for heavy CC (the accuracy boost is so sweet on POTD) and burst. It will probably be better to play it "at range" - streetfighter can either be turned in : a spell turret at range (use whisp from a chanter to flank and trigger passive) or a melee beast (wizard buff for survival ang go to town) - trickster : double illusion for more cc. Give this guy an aoe weapon and spread DOT while keeping ennemy pinned down. You should maybe try an arcane archer/trickster (not a spell blade i know but can be built in a similar way), you will have acces to : - many wizard spell from trickster and AA (don't forget scrolls ;), you will up arcana as an AA); - many ranged tool for lot of fun (driving flight is just that good with the right weapon) - good mobility from ranger and rogue class. Edit : fight will probaby be : 1) lure with dazzling light, 2) wearing watershaper focus : web and pull of eora (so 3 web and 3 pull of eora in less than one sec) 3) paralyze the group 4) Nuke as you want (DOT from rogue, fireball from AA, scroll..., Aoe weapon...) 5) swap to melee and use finishing blow if someone managed to survived 6) grab a beer1 point

I would love to have the option to create a few (lets say 3) presets of self-defined mutations-combinations. To switch between the preset would be much more comfortable instead of deactivate this and activate that a.s.o.1 point
