  2. SR2 is worth playing. It's... interesting. They haven't totally embraced the wacky like SR3 and 4 did, and the story runs through some elements that one minute is insanely over the top and has you giggling, and then it serves up something horrifying and emotionally a gut punch. Before running right back to giggling insane. You can definitely see how they were trying to find their unique identity, and they still manage to pull in Keith David, along with Neil Patrick Harris as Veteran Child just makes it so worthwhile.

  3. SR4 was one of the funnest and funniest games I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I don't even like those kinds of games but SR4 was transcendent.

  4. It could very much be an issue IMO. What made Witchers great was that Geralt is perfectly suited for an RPG with narrative choices, with a heavily defined protagonist - even back in books he is a neutral party with his own goals, having to deal with outside forces and "choosing the lesser evil" - a perfect RPG protagonist with set motivations and goals, and yet space to allow players to make choices. Trying to do the same but with Ciri or a new character could not work so well. I am not terribly worried though - CDPR "got" Witcher world well, and at this point I doubt they will majorily mess it up, even if W4 will be weaker then W3. Even Thronebreaker, from what I played, was more or less alright.

  5. They will just do more crap for the online parts. No thanks. Take-Two can eat it and die for all I care.

  7. I really want to like SR4 the most, because it has so much funny crap in it, but sadly it made driving cars and stuff completely useless, which is why I find SR3 better.

  8. Malcolm McDowell and Gary Oldman were definitely big oversights on my part. In an unrelated story:

  10. I think the one thing that would get me to replay Mass Effect isn't a refocus of the camera, but the inclusion of Johnny Gat in the crew. Oh, wait. We got Mass Effect with Saint's Row characters already. It's called SR4. Guess I am already replaying ME in an improved version

  12. We watched the Back to the Future trilogy on Netflix. Wife really wanted to see them and really enjoyed them. I was hesitant to see them after so long but my wife asked me if I really wanted a wife who hadn't seen Back to the Future. Couldn't argue with that.

  13. Young Indiana Jones Chronicles Proved Indy Works Without Harrison Ford (collider.com) It is a shame it isn't streaming anywhere. Makes me glad I managed to pickup the DVD's a decade or so back...

  14. The hubster got his 2nd shot yesterday. He's had no ill effects at all. I got my 2nd shot 4-5 hours ago. So far nothing, not even the early sore arm I had from the first one. Hopefully I'll be like hubby. Guess we got the good shipment of Pfizer. Or a placebo. Who knows. Also finally ran around to Verizon storefronts trying to get my mobile phone 'net access to work again. Went to the 3rd party store I bought it from, then the "official, not 3rd party" place. Both changed sim cards, restarted 'net access or something etc. First place, it didn't work. 2nd place, it eventually worked. Maybe the 2nd guy had magic sim-card fingers. Whatever, I can lurk on the forums while out and about again.

  15. Warner Brothers is producing a new movie, in which Superman is black. Black Superman will be referred to as the Man of Steal.

  16. Gat Out of Hell was definitely a disappointment, but you did get to play as the best Saints Row character, Kinzie Kensingston. You could play as Johnny Gat as well.

  17. This is the only good thing that came out of that product. Might as well just look it up on youtube instead of wasting time and suffering through the rest of it.

  19. I've played SR3 and SR4 (and Gat out of Hell, but let's not talk about that one) in coop with a friend and that made them even better, because you could laught about stuff together and just **** around in the game world.

  20. no, i called the summoner that can't be touched the most boring run possible (but that would be my choice if i would do the ultimate), i can't think of a slower run (that's still able to do every fight), if you could do it with a single class chanter (i think Hauani O Whe would be too risky without endless chances with bloodmage) it would be fine, the dragon has enough AOE to kill stuff fast enough, weapons deal enough damage too, but if you don't get to that point without fighting (lvl 19 MC) its a real slow run summoning ogres again and again and again and again... not beeing able to do anything else

  21. Rich Evans has the voice of an angel. I considered putting up a Rich Evans Laugh Trigger Warning, but I didn't; not because I'm lazy, but because I wanted those uninitiated and unsuspecting to not have any warning.

  22. Well it was a "SyFy" movie, so no theatrical release. Doesn't make it any less offensive to God and Man. Has an, uh, interesting cover of Princes of the Universe in its soundtrack too

  24. At one time one of these individuals long associated with the The Witcher series (may be one of those who's now left) posted on social media asking fans what they thought of the game being about Ciri's post-TW3 life. And yes, it could also be about some other witcher. But I believe CDP has stated that when it comes to the game's title, they see "THE Witcher" as Geralt, whose story is done.

  27. Remember when I said I hate achievements and pointless, annoying stat-tracking? Netflix keeping track of crap like the exact second you stopped watching every single movie and episode you've ever turned on for even a single second is another example of that. Luckily for me, my main method of watching stuff is NOT Netflix and so I view Netflix more of a trash-tier "let's watch either something for children or maybe just try something out that caught my eye", so I really don't care what it does or doesn't track - if it's something I actually love, it'll eventually be on my hard drives, so who cares? Speaking of Netflix, compare the raw bluray vs Netflix quality: Better crop, better colors, better quality...better transfer. Think I'll take the bluray, thanks, . The song's way better, too...and doesn't sound like literal pointless gibberish like the last one. Big improvement all around. (e):

  28. I have a CC with like 2k limit, which i pay off regularly, sometimes leaving some used balance after a minimal payment for a mibth or two. Used for some streaming service and occasional purchase via interwebs. I also have like a 10k limit within my debit account, in case of some unspeakable emergency, where I could not pull my savings due to some liquidity issue. Just work on your credit scores from early years.

  30. The only SR I ever played was SR3 I only played it in co-op with a friend though (and she's a killer with a gun!). No idea what it would have been like playing it solo (Some of the DLC stuff was pretty fun too, like the sci-fi parts, silly, but fun when doing it co-op)

  35. I think these debunks are missing the point of these posts. They're not made to inspire someone to start a business instead of buying an iPhone or learn a skill instead of watch TV, they're for people who aren't working class or poor to tut-tut at the lazy proles for daring to have a semblance of a life beyond toil. The same people who make these posts could not handle the average fast food worker's job.

  37. I loaded up Stoneshard today. The game is still in beta, but I haven't played it in awhile, and it has come along nicely. I think this will eventually become one of my favorite RPG's to tool around in. If you haven't checked it out, it is super deep and a bit unforgiving. Ok, super unforgiving.
