There are rumors that Trump is going to visit Tehran. I swear to god almighty, if he manages to normalize ties with Iran I'll get a 'Trump' tattoo on my neck.3 points

I was challenging your assertion they were 'preserving' the work, which was your argument as why it was okay. They are not. They took a picture, which is recording its existence, not preservation. You phrased it like it was a statue being removed to a museum. It is not. Now you're arguing it okay to destroy it because you're not a fan of the work itself. That's a different argument, and taste being the measure of artistic worth for preservation is a slippery slope, imo. Note I don't object to them removing the mural, but I do bemoan the destruction of the artwork, like I do the destruction of any artwork.3 points

Currently testing changing some lines in a conversationbundle that belong to the narrator so that (Story Spoiler) it will use audio files from a custom voice folder instead of the narrator. Thus far I have managed to make it so that the first line of speech is silent by changing the "SpeakerGuid": to just be a bunch of zeros, which makes me think this will be possible by replace it with the speaker GUID from the custom voice. The problem I'm going to have to tackle is figuring out how to make this easily toggleable for the player. The ideal situation would be that selecting the voice on the Watcher would tell the game to use those files instead. Which might actually be possible, but I am not getting my hopes up. I'll probably end up just splitting it into a seperate mod so that it can be toggled in options menu, or instructing people installing the mod to just rename the Conversations folder if they are not using the voice on their main character.2 points

I certainly don't disagree the university has the right to remove the mural. I just hate to see aetwork destroyed. My elementary school had a bicentennial mural, and I as preteen hated when they painted it over. Hated that Patricia Cornwall tore up a Sickert to try and prove he was Jack the Ripper. They're all entitled to destroy them, they owned them. It'll never sit well with me, even if sometimes destruction might be necessary.2 points

fixed btw, the trump strawman where you try and knock the stuffing out o' the President being blamed for riots position ignores what we believe is the more common and hard to refute argument that the President has exacerbated political and racial divisions and has done more than a little to make existing protests more violent with his inarguably extra Constitutional responses. on the long list o' causes and accelerants o' the protests, trump should figure prominent... save for in the fox news bubble. as to the mural, everybody loves democracy, right up until people start asking for and doing things some o' us believe is stoopid. imagine into existence a jerk so offended by norman rockwell paintings and their saccharine americana that he buys every one he can get his hands on and then burns 'em. converse, another dirtbag buys original manuscripts and author notes o' maya angelou and uses the shredded paper as kitty litter. admitted vulgar uses o' wealth in both cases, no? whether is groups or individuals, right to the quiet use and enjoyment o' private property or real property is one o' those basic rights @Guard Dog is gonna get his dander up regarding. just 'cause something is old don't mean it got some particular value to the public at large, unless the public so decides... and the public is then free to change their minds regarding the cultural worthiness o' such objects. democracy is fickle. one o' our +80-year-old aunts (though am wondering if black magic might be involved 'cause she could very well be 800 based on family stories) gots wallpaper in her home which predates the mural in question. no doubt the person who designed the wallpaper thought they were an artist or craftsman, and our aunt likes it. is her wallpaper any less art than the mural? why? her wallpaper may be the last remaining example o' that particularly hideous design anywhere in existence. please, make it so. we need have the paper steamed off the walls and removed to a museum if our aunt finally decides to make decor change? am personal thinking it is stoopid to destroy the mural. only thing such destruction proves is the lack o' character o' the folks bent on the destruction. that said, is not Gromnir's mural. the university owns the mural and is responding to the will o' what is effective their constituency. we would hope the university of rhode island could be as enlightened as university administrations is in our imagination. *snort* thanks in part to the polarization, fear and anger medicine dan don't wanna blame trump for at all, we got large sections o' the population who feels justified in their need for retribution. can't reach the real causes o' student anger? well, the mural represents one o' the evils they believe is being ignored... or somesuch. destroy it. university o' ri has the right to do whatever they want with the mural. if destruction will foster a more healthy student learning environment, then they has an excuse for destruction, but somehow this feels to us like a teachable moment. there should be an opportunity to bring the community together and listen and educate. more than the mural itself, am disappointed the university don't appear to be doing more to take advantage o' an opportunity for learning... though given just how polarized and divided is our national population, expecting more from a university community may be naive on our part. am eternal hopeful 'all those dumb university students who don't know enough to realize how pointless is their efforts will nevertheless manage to save us from ourselves. HA! Good Fun!2 points

Everyone, good sir. Everyone. And I'll be laughing at you when it comes out and it will be the only game you'll ever need. No, really, but... I mean, realistically, it's probably either NOT going to live up to its promise or never really come out beyond what is already there, but let's assume for the moment it would. Star Citizen could very much be the game I dreamt of having ever since the first time I played X-Wing and Wing Commander. On the other hand I'd just as soon settle for Squadron 42.2 points

I think a cool miniboss could be a fly (which would respawn every 7- ish days.) Imagine if an old soda cup was lying on its side on the stone wall across the pond. The cup would have a straw out of it, which you could climb in up to get into the cup. Inside the cup, there would be some old soda and several ice cube platforms. One fly would be in there, which you would have to fight. The fly would be quite big, and would constantly be buzzing around the arena, making it a hard and challenging fight. It would charge at you, so you would have to jump from ice cube to ice cube to avoid the fly's attacks. If you did kill it, you could get a few useful items. One item would be a fly eyeball, which you could use for two items. One would be binoculars, which would be made from a fly eye, a clover leaf, some sap, and woven fiber. Another one would be a telescope. It would be made out of some weed stems, some sap, some spider web, one or two clover leaves, and a fly eye. It could be set down like a stuffed bug and would be able to be looked out of. I think this would look really cool on observation towers!1 point

https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2020/09/27/us/donald-trump-taxes.html "Donald J. Trump paid $750 in federal income taxes the year he won the presidency. In his first year in the White House, he paid another $750. He had paid no income taxes at all in 10 of the previous 15 years — largely because he reported losing much more money than he made." Seem about right "Rather, there appears to be a closer-to-home explanation for at least some of the fees: Mr. Trump reduced his taxable income by treating a family member as a consultant, and then deducting the fee as a cost of doing business. The “consultants” are not identified in the tax records. But evidence of this arrangement was gleaned by comparing the confidential tax records to the financial disclosures Ivanka Trump filed when she joined the White House staff in 2017. Ms. Trump reported receiving payments from a consulting company she co-owned, totaling $747,622, that exactly matched consulting fees claimed as tax deductions by the Trump Organization for hotel projects in Vancouver and Hawaii." Draining the swamp seem to going well also1 point

I work for a manufacturer and even though I'm not directly involved with the supply chain planning I still rub elbows with them and look at their actions enough to say, there's a lot of planning involved with pricing. Now the driving and warehouse costs don't count as much because it is a running cost, unless you specifically have to freight the item separately so that it is stocked. Same with the website maintenance and other operational costs. The big ones are the production cost or the buying cost, because those are the ones that you can affect. If you can make an item for under a dollar and sell it for $3 then that's over $2 in profit per item sold. You usually work with the seller/factory in order to lower those costs, a farmer will sell lower if he/she doesn't have to transport their goods, that pickup might be handle by a local company that works with a bigger seller like Amazon. That's one thing people seem to don't know about when it comes to big corporations, they usually subcontract to specialized companies for a lot of their operations. Which creates jobs, for every major company there are a bunch of smaller ones that stay in business because of the bigger ones.1 point

It's the same in german. I suspect it will be made up later and is just a test in the test. How is the translation otherwise? The translation comes surprisingly quickly. I am once again impressed by the developers, even if I would have liked to see some of them translated differently.1 point

This got me thinking... If I order a bell pepper for $1.50 from Amazon, where does all of that $1.50 go? We have a farmer who owns the field and plants it, a farmworker who harvests it, a plant worker who packages it, a driver who moves it to a warehouse/store, a grocer who sells it, and then another driver who delivers it to my house. Plus people maintaining the website, and of course Jeff Bezos. Who gets what cut?1 point

Ah ok. We do not have similar in Canada, certainly for health care - you have to have a visa or PR for that. I suppose relatively they are okay with it, but cannot avoid the sense they are being used. We do have a TFW program here, though, for when jobs are too crappy for even Canadians to work.1 point

Ooh, these are really cool concepts. Ops. I agree, that would be optimal. I'm personally very much in favor of limiting Lv9 diety spells one way or another. Another option would be to remove all foreign diety spells, but giving the priests access to fitting Lv9 spells from other classes. (e.g. Touch of Death for Berath) Ah, you're right. I meant aesthetically with the whole placing a symbol, but yeah the effects are too different. How would you feel about taking inspiration from Garrote, giving periodic Paralyze + Raw damage? Great picks! I'll continue adding suggestions: Vanilla bell88 Noqn suggestion Berath Lv1 Touch of Rot Lv2 Holy Meditation Necrotic Lance Lv3 Spreading Plague Infestation of Maggots Spreading Plague Lv4 Divine Terror Plague of Insects Lv5 Rot skulls Death Ring Rot skulls Lv6 Salvation of Time Rot Skulls Death Ring Lv7 Rusted Armor Disintegration Rusted Armor Lv8 Symbol of Berath Lv9 Hand of Berath I like both Infestation of Maggots and Disintegration, but I think Spreading Plague and Rusted Armor already fits Berath really well and should be kept. (Disintegration feels more like a Rymrgand thing?) How about swapping Death Ring and Rot Skulls so that Rot Skulls have its vanilla position? Eothas Vanilla bell88 Noqn suggestion Lv1 Sunbeam Lv2 Withdraw Two Fingers of Daylight Lv3 Watchful Presence Glorious Beacon Lv4 Circle of Protection Shining Beacon Lv5 Revive the Fallen Lv6 Minor Intercession Garden of Life Lv7 Resurrection Sunlance Lv8 Symbol of Eothas Lv9 Light of Eothas Eothas once again being a menace... Gaun Vanilla bell88 Noqn suggestion Lv1 Blessed Harvest Lv2 Withdraw Autumn's Decay Lv3 Vile Thorns Watchful Presence Vile Thorns Lv4 Circle of Protection Wall of Thorns Lv5 Wicked Briars Garden of Life Wicked Briars Lv6 Minor Intercession Venombloom Lv7 Wall of Thorns Lashing Vine Lv8 Symbol of Eothas Lv9 Lashing Vine Pollen Patch Good call on moving down Wall of Thorns and Lashing Vine two levels, giving space for a Lv9 spell. I'm suggesting keeping Wicked Briars instead of Garden of Life, which I think suits Eothas more. Is there any reason for removing Vile Thorns? I think Autumn of Decay fits with the theme of farming seasons. Magran Vanilla bell88 Noqn suggestion Lv1 Fan of Flames Lv2 Spiritual Weapon Combusting Wounds Lv3 Ray of Fire Fireball Ray of Fire Lv4 Shining Beacon Wall of Fire Lv5 Flame Shield Torrent of Flame Flame Shield Lv6 Pillar of Holy Fire Torrent of Flame? Lv7 Torrent of Flame Storm of Holy Fire Torrent of Flame? Lv8 Symbol of Magran Lv9 Magran’s Might How about keeping Torrent of Flame at Lv7 or only moving it to Lv6, keeping space for Flame Shield? I'd keep Ray of Fire over Fireball, because I like Beam spells. Rymrgand Vanilla bell88 Noqn suggestion Lv1 Touch of Rot Lv2 Blizzard Lv3 Spreading Plague Lv4 Noxious burst Lv5 Blast of Frost Lv6 Ninagauth’s Freezing Pillar Lv7 Death Ring Entropy Lv8 Symbol of Rymrgand Lv9 Call of Rymrgand Entropy *Chef's Kiss* Skaen Vanilla bell88 Noqn suggestion Lv1 Barbs of Condemnation Antipathetic Field Lv2 Escape Lv3 Divine Mark Pain Link Lv4 Finishing blow Lv5 Shadowing Beyond Lv6 Spiritual Ally Smoke Veil Lv7 Minor Avatar Lv8 Symbol of Skaen Lv9 Revenge of Skaen Dunno if this is a good suggestion but how about Antipathetic Field or other hate-related Cipher spells? It might be a stretch (and I actually think Pain Link is a better fit for Skaen) but going with that theme, maybe Arcane Dampener at Lv3? Minor Avatar fits the Skaen priest given the significance of the Effigy in lore, but it'd be nice to have a full set of unique spells. Otherwise... Expose Vulnerabilities? Wael Vanilla bell88 Noqn suggestion Lv1 Arcame Veil Lv2 Ionic Projection Mirrored Image Lv3 Mirrored Image Llengrath’s Displaced Image Lv4 Llengrath’s Displaced Image Confusion Lv5 Confusion Arkemyr’s Wondrous Torment Lv6 Arkemyr’s Wondrous Torment Gaze of the Adragan Lv7 Gaze of the Adragan Arkemyr’s Capricious Hex Lv8 Symbol of Wael Lv9 Blessing of Wael Aah, beautiful solution. Woedica Vanilla bell88 Noqn suggestion Lv1 Writ of Engagement Lv2 Spiritual Weapon Recall Agony Lv3 Writ of Consumption Lv4 Divine Terror Fealty Lv5 Writ of War Lv6 Pillars of Holy Fire Mind Plague Haunting Chains Lv7 Writ of Sorcery Lv8 Hand of Weal and Woe Symbol of Woedica Lv9 Writ of Mending I'm falling in love with this table. Small suggestion but how about Haunting Chains at Lv6? I'm thinking Mind Plague might be too weak for a Lv6 priest spell.1 point

What you have missed: Drudanae is now called HoonDing and mostly only posts screenshots. Usually without comments, though the screenshots often include text. A number of people have kids now. I don't really post Mordheim screenshots anymore. You can now win the internet here on the forum: it counts the likes and other reactions you get throughout the day and whoever gets the most for that day wins. Or Raithe wins. Usually Raithe wins. Keyrock still plays games nobody else even knew existed. A number of people play Conan Exiles and the screenshot thread will every now and then be filled with impressive feats of digital desert architecture. And scantily clad characters taking it all in because a) it is hot there and b) they spend all their money to pay for construction materials and the cost of steel and concrete went up again because the oil price went up and that left them without money for a coat.1 point
