LadyCrimson Posted June 23 Posted June 23 Seems overall favorable so far. Mostly the same, but with nice improvements. I watched some of jacksepticeyejack 1st video of it - skipping over all starting story/cutscenes, just wanted to see Sam gameplay mechanics - and looks great to me. *grits teeth* I will NOT buy a PS5. I will NOT buy a PS5. .... 6+ months. Sigh. 1 “Things are as they are. majestic Posted June 24 Posted June 24 More and more I am finding that Satisfactory is the perfect game to wind down for a software developer working at a supply chain management company. Spoiler Not. The game is fun and all, but uh, yeah, like... feels a "bit" like work. No mind to think. No will to break. No voice to cry suffering.

Sven_ Posted June 26 Posted June 26 (edited) “Not every game is for every single person. Sometimes you have to pick a lane” - The Outer Worlds 2’s director on meaningful role-playing consequence and banning respec Quote The role-playing charge is led by an unflinching focus on choice and consequence - with as heavy an emphasis on the repercussions as the player agency. We’re not just talking about a branching narrative here, but also in systems - best indicated by the game’s dedication to a wild and wonderful suite of perks. In a hands-on demo, I spend a significant amount of time just scrolling the perks list - which is plentiful, many of them also surprisingly impactful. https://www.rpgsite.net/interview/1...ctor-interview-respec-rpg-choice-consequences# Quote "One of the biggest pieces of feedback we received for The Outer Worlds was around the moment-to-moment gameplay," says executive producer Justin Britch. "We're on a journey to make this nirvana RPG experience. We want everything to feel reactive; from the moment-to-moment gameplay, the dialogue choices you make, to the way you solve problems in the game," he says, adding, "we can't wait to see what players come up with in The Outer Worlds 2." https://www.gamesradar.com/games/rp...e-can-stealth-properly-through-each-location/ Obsidian learning a lesson here? What's omitted of course is that respecing et all wasn't necessary in the first game either way. It was too Vanilla RPG: Can't Do No Harm (or Interesting) Edition for that. And it was certainly one of those games that tried to please (almost) every single person. Aka being scared of chosing a lane and committing to that. However, with even big IPs such as Final Fantasy and Dragon Age underperforming by going that "scared cat" kinda route of not committing to anything (including their respective IP's legacy), there may be a shift in strategy. One even approved of by upper management. May be wishful thinking on my part, of course. Edited June 26 by Sven_ 1

Lexx Posted July 5 Posted July 5 Of course it's just a matter of time till Game Pass will get price increases. "only when you no-life you can exist forever, because what does not live cannot die."
Zoraptor Posted July 6 Posted July 6 Has the XBox/ Gaming division of MS ever made a genuine profit? It is there very much because of potential profits which have never eventuated. More interesting news out of MS recently: the directive about staff being Obligated to use AI. Copilot doesn't even get answers about MS' own software consistently correct. It also told me Easter Sunday was on the 26th of April this year.

Hurlshort Posted Monday at 10:16 PM Posted Monday at 10:16 PM NWN2 Enhanced Edition comes out tomorrow, so I decided to pick it up on GOG. I'm pretty excited to play it after so long. It doesn't look like they've done much graphically, but it was a decent looking game back in the day, so it should be fine. 6

I'm picking it up too, graphic is fine as it is, but it didn't work for me on Win10. Even though I played basically every class and combination possible already, except fighter and barbarian types, but hey, what's another 100 hours, right. 3 1
