If that means duration or effect I can't say. I can say, however, that I'm very dissappointed in this subclass. I'll never play a character that does drugs from a roleplaying point of view, and since I want to play more diverse monks, this is a definite loss of options for me. I don't mind controversial themes on companions, but having specializations with controversial themes is a really limiting option. The other subclasses so far also represent popular fantasy archetypes, which is not exactly the case for potheads. And on a mechanical level, its also boring - following joshs description, if you never use drugs in the first place, nothing changes to playing that character, whereas every other subclass implies a necessary change of gameplay. The lore of monks has been changed massively from the DnD version, so I'd much prefer a subclass that lets me get back closer to the original martial artist. 1) Just turning the fist bonus into something for weapons would grant an easy DnD2 Kensai. 2) A subclass that increases deflection when no armor is equipped and lets you get wounds by evasion rather than being hit would be mechanically cool. 3) There are also a dozen of interesting archetypes for monks in pathfinder alone (Zen Archer, Sensei, Four Winds and Ki Mystic alone come to mind) I don't mind drugs being in the game, and I wouldn't mind having some kind of optional talent that makes their use more efficient. But why do we need to waste one of the few available subclass slots for something which is (imho) not really a popular archetype, with powers that won't necessarily change the way you play, and is tied to a controversial theme? As someone who was annoyed that I had to take drugs to do Zahua's quest in WM2, I'm ok with this subclass existing since I'm not force to take it. Although I do hope some classes get more than 2 subclasses besides Priests and Paladins.

Romance

Yes, but they ignored the question. -
I see you're back to being your old dickish self Tyranny combat does a lot of things differently, so subjectively I can see why some people think it's worse. I'm not partially a fan of no flanking or the fact that archers get no penalty when being engaged by melee. On topic, I really hope they take a look at Tyranny's companion interaction. Party members talk to each other more often, and NPCs actually communicate with them instead of just ignoring their comments. However, I don't want them to reduce the amount of companions you get. If Pillars 2 is going to be the BG2 of this series, then you need a lot of companions. I'm sure they can think of something so they dont' have to sacrificing quantity for quality.

Favorite NPC moments
Bill Gates' Son replied to Mocker22's topic in Pillars of Eternity: Stories (Spoiler Warning!)
That part legitimately made me Laugh out Loud. Hiravias is such an underrated character. People often complain about PoE being "too serious", yet here's a character who doesn't take life too seriously like the other characters in the game. -
Third Expansion

Or they could just go with a canon path for the protagonist. Games like FO2 (and new vegas), MoTB, and WL2 went with this route. -
Am I the minority?

I solo PoTD as a Priest. Easier solo ever. I love their abundance of crowd control and counter spells. -
"Obsidian did what they could" - How is this even an argument? Are obsidian guys a bunch of children doing a school project? Maybe you are saying something like: "when someone is trying hard and fail you can't criticise them"? Well, you can, evilcat, welcome to the real world. Also, for an average buyer or backer there is no way of knowing if they really tried hard or not so much. "no cut-off DLC" "Winter March is a game changer. It gives big sidequests, fortress location is big and fits the story. Little ghosts telling stories is climatic. It is even in no-grassland territory." - White march was not cut-off from the vanilla version but if you don't buy it than you just can't experience the game to the fullest. Isn't that like a definition of what is wrong with games these days? I want my vanilla versions to be complete and abundant in all these little things that make a good game. I don't want to wait a year every time a game comes out so I can experience it how it should have been done in the first place. Not to mention additional cost. "Stronghold is work in progress. There are rumours they will add some miniquests to it." I bought this game in march last year from what I remember and it's still work in progress? Damn, this people in Obsidian, they sure do love the community, look at all the extra work they do post release. Has it ever crossed your mind that perhaps games should be developed before they are available for sale? And is it wrong to criticise something when it's still work in progress? This game will be work in progress for another few years... yet they charging for it full price since last year? Uhm ? Even people who blindly love this game point out that stronghold mini-game is at best an vastly underdeveloped joke. But wait I take it all back, now that I know there are RUMOURS about possible miniquests I guess it was all worth it. I just hope they won't charge extra for them. "Wasnt missing faction presence. Probably Defiance Bay isnt that much in the centre of whole game." It isn't in the centre of the game? What is than? Twin elms - a beautiful set of animated graphics with 8 quests in it? This game suffers from serious underdevelopment and the factions in the defiance bay are exactly just that. There is not enough quests, people to speak to or anything really to get to know them. It is shallow. Generic dudes a), other generic dudes b), no interesting characters, no way of getting to know real motivations, nothing. And I don't care if it all is work in progress. Or if there will be 6 more dlc for a total of 100$ in 5 years time to make this game great. OP's critique was the most kind and genuine one but not even that can stand of this forum without being attacked. That's a lot of passive aggressiveness for a post that wasn't even hostile.

Hiravias Voice Actor?
Bill Gates' Son replied to Nullaq's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
aka Nick Valentine? I don't see Stephen Russell name in the imdb cast list, so I doubt it.
