  2. Following the topic about Saru-Sichr and his melee weapon effect (the DoT roll) that proc Swift Flurry and Heartbeat Drumming , I did some research and found some other weapons with similar effects. I mention here only the weapons with a 100% chance to trigger the effect (some like Bardatto's Luxury have only 10% chance) : Mohora Tanga (Red Flag Flying on crit) this effect can trigger by itself an other but same effect that can crit (and chain crit). The whole on-crit list is maybe concerned (so not Crushing Yokes and Poison Dipped). Sanguine Great Sword (Weeping Wounds on crit) Distraho (Menace on crit but not Nimbus of Dread (that proc Avenging Storm on big AoE on crit that said)) Wicked Beast (Bad Dog and Hounding (+10acc) on crit) Ball and Chain (Crushing Yokes on hit, Shackless and Subjugation on crit) Saru-Sichr (Poison Dipped and upgrades on touch) Effort (Hemorrhaging on crit but from all sources, of course)* All these effect trigger Avenging Storm by the way. That work particulary fine with solo handing Mohora Tanga , as you can see : and The first Combat Log is from an attack with a monk (Swift Flurry and HbD proc more than 82 time, dealing more than 4000 damages). The second Combat log is from a SC Druid with Entropy and Avenging Storm (with one melee crit). Another exemple with the Sanguine Greatsword : Nevertheless, it is easy to make an endless chain (Mohora Tanga one handed) if the accuracy is around the fatal +100 vs fortitude. In this case, the game crash. Even at 80 or 90 acc surrounding the enemy fortitude, the game can crash but only if Mohora Tanga is in first Hand : even if the Red Flag crit chain is over with a graze or hit in the list, every crit from Red Flag have a chance to proc another Red Flag crit chain. The game can also crash immediately. Mohora Tanga in offhand is a good way to have a powerful character without the crash risk (at the condition to not have +100acc/enemy fortitude) : a bouncing ranged weapon in main hand can do a lot of damage to a lot of enemy on many swift flurry proc from Red Flag Flying. Also, in main hand, Frotfall can proc some Swift Flurry attack in AoE (see page 5 of comments), or the Keeper of the Flame can trigger his burn AoE on each Swift Flurry proc. * For the tests, I used a Transcendant to get +20acc from Borrowed Instinct (so +12 one handed +5 accurate +20 B. Instincts for Mohora Tanga). I am also level 20 and enemies are level 16 I think (in any case under my level). Edit : all these effects are vs Fortitude ; all of them trigger melee weapon abilities from Gloves (Storm Blows proc a lot of time, dealing hundred of damages with a Berserker not monk), also Enervating Blow, Interrupting Blow and Spell Disruption. They profit from the Berseker 30% hit to crit for melee weapons, the +3acc from pet (Chloe, Frau Nils, Nikky, Blinky (+5acc for the party with melee weapons)) or crit conversion (Pes, Sheba), and maybe some other stuffs. Debonaire-monk can chain-crit an enemy , more details in page 4 of comments. *: Hemorrhaging doesnt proc Swift Flurry since the attack itself cant crit (but the afflictions can). This is why Hemorrhaging work with the Hylea's Talon (on melee hit) but not with Boltcatcher (on melee crit).

  3. Damn I gotta say that spear really works well with SF/HBD... phew! Edit: but the "Red Flag Flying procs itself" effect has a serious drawback: if you meet really weak foes you might create an infinite loop that crashes your game. I just got kicked out while testing the spear against one of the skeletons in the starting cave on Maje Island.

  6. I can even go a step further and tell you that Israel did not sign it ... but Russia did. Woops. Also, yes, it is whataboutism since you are defending russia with pointing out that others do it as well. Again, just make your own thread about it, nobody in the west is going to try to silence you. Which is, by the way, one of the perks we have here - you can speak your mind without having to fear to go to the gulag, or re-education camp, or getting drafted to die in a stupid war as cannon fodder.

  9. Today's news headlines from Finnish Newspapers "This is all that is known about Putin's mobilization order" "Finnish Defense Forces: Finland has prepared to Russian mobilization" "These civilian targets would be under threat if Russia would invade Finland" "Military expert: Russian invasion to Finland would probably start this way" "Over million Finns would need to evacuate from east to west if Russia would invade" "New study: Over 70% of older Finns fear possibility of Russian invasion" "What will happen if Russia suffers another big loss in Ukraine" "Ukraine war is making Poland an European super power - 'If Russians lose the war then someone will fill that void' " Difficult to say, as we don't know how much aid Ukraine has received and how much it has impacted their operations. And we don't have any way to measure what would have happened if Ukraine would not have received aid. You assume that Ukraine would have lost without aid and Russia would not have done mobilization in that scenario, but Russia's initial assault to Ukraine failed even without aid from west and Russia had very difficult time to have any gains in main battle front of the war from start. So it is difficult to estimate if mobilization would or would not happen without western aid. But Russia initial force was not big enough to over come resisting nation, their initial strategy was clearly based on belief that Ukraine would surrender with little resistance.

  14. Interesting commentary on the speech from a former Nordic military intelligence boss: No declaration of war because of the risks: a special operation can always be discontinued, whereas a war must be won or lost, and the failure would be on Putin. Putin is essentially threatening the west with nuclear weapons, hoping it will weaken the resolve to aid Ukraine (unlikely to work, according to this former boss). The Russian leadership appears to be in a state of panic, fearing it will lose the Luhansk oblast next. The newly-imposed punishments on refusal to serve etc. will not improve Russian morale; the contrary is more likely. Russia is not even capable of full mobilization, because neither the system nor the equipment is there -- not even enough trainers for the new recruits. Russia is not capable of increasing arms productions in a big way because it lacks materials, components and capable workers. The partial mobilization will not affect the situation on the front in the next months. The new reserves will likely be sent to Donbas to try to stop the Ukrainian offensive.

  16. So, my minimal understanding is the 4080 12GB version is basically what would be considered a 4070, with a price hike. The "real" 4080 is the 16GB one. Seems like if you have the money to blow, depending on perspective, this time around the 4090 might actually be the "better value." (editedit-that's based on specs only, no testing yet ofc) Also, DLSS 3 will be 40xx exclusive apparently? Luckily I don't care about DLSS but that sucks for people who do care and bought a 30xx/weren't planning on upgrading. Edit: this almost has me wanting to get a 3090 while I can - wouldn't have to deal with giant new form/3 mobo slot sized card, different pin connector stuff, or the power draw. Even if AMD is a little cheaper with theirs, I'm sure it'll still be nuts. Or, alternatively, a good time to stop caring about new games/high tech gaming. I'll just play Caesar3 forever.

  20. Why this New York lawsuit is really going to anger Donald Trump the one understated advantage letitia james has in suing trump org is trump's ego. am thinking it will come as a shock to nobody that trump inflated the value o' his assets in attempting to secure loans from financial institutions. the thing is, there ain't no fraud unless those lenders relied on trump false statements. for there to be fraud, there needs be somebody who were in fact duped. to that end, trump's best defense is to show that his propensity for untruth were so well known that no lender took his financial disclosures serious. am not doubting trump has masses o' documents showing lenders refusing to give him money clarifying that the reason for refusal to lend money were that banks did their own due diligence and in spite o' trump claims o' wealth, trump org represented far too great a risk. show a big stack o' such letters as proof that nobody with any sense believed trump is a valid defense. heck, is not a secret that trump to this day is persona no grata insofar as wall street is concerned and in the 90s nobody other than deutsche bank would lend to trump, and deutsche bank were unlikely caught unawares, but knowing the risk involved, they lent increasing amounts to trump. so who were the suckers duped by trump? regardless am suspecting trump's best defense is to reveal what a transparently terrible lending prospect were trump org and that nobody in the industry would be fooled by his fabulist tendencies and outright lies regarding the worth o' trump property. have trump lawyers public admit just how little he were worth and that only the willful obtuse would be believing trump's financial statements? is hard to imagine trump being okie dokie with such a strategy. as to tax fraud... well that is a different issue and a different case altogether. edit: pretty much eviscerates judge cannon. no property interest by trump. no harm in being deprived of documents he never owned. trump didn't make any claim the documents were classified and in any event, they are classified presumptive for a pre indictment situation as in the present context. the current executive has broad discretion to decide and investigate matters o' national security, so deprive the fed o' a chance to do investigations o' the documents absent any proffer o' evidence such were seized improper is an improper exercise o' judicial power and beyond the scope o' a special master. etc. trump and judge cannon just had their lunch money took... again. first judge dearie and now a unanimous 11th circuit court of appeals. has been a bad week for trump, and is only wednesday. HA! Good Fun! ps the 11th circuit stay is not particular meaningful in the grand scope o' a possible case by the US v. trump, a case which don't exist as yet 'cause has been no indictment. 11th circuit efforts has no impact on the merits o' a case not yet brought by the doj. this whole judicial exercise insofar as the special master has been an inexplicable waste o' time and the fact the 11th circuit needed to weigh in woulda' been incomprehensible to us save for the fact it actual happened... so shame on Gromnir. but again, our point o' adding the ps is that insofar as trump possible being indicted and going to prison for obstruction or illegal possession o' state secrets, this ruling is correct but relative meaningless in that all it achieves is a metaphorical trout slap to the face o' judge cannon and team trump. it also presumptive ends unnecessary delay. converse, insofar as the impact o' the feds being able to investigate the damage trump did to security assets as 'posed to sitting on their hands, this could be a big deal... is just not meaningful from a potential US v. trump scenario.

  25. It wasn't changed to only proc on weapon hits (it does that in the vanilla game) but to only proc on weapon hits that deal damage. Reason was that Hand Mortar's Blinding Smoke (a cone CC attack) that can trigger from every one of the mortar's AoR hits also counts as weapon attack but does not deal damage. It was overkill with Avenging Storm because there can be hundrets of procs if enough enemies are there. I have no idea why Hemorrhaging and so on work though - it doesn't deal damage either. I mean I know why it works in my game despite CP: I deactivated that one "fix" in my mod installation because I like Hand Mortar + Avenging Storm.

  27. Lets’s do math, Russia invaded Ukraine with approx 250k soldiers, with the best equipment they had, and with the best elite forces, which they had. 55k of them are dead, that means another 100-150k injured/deserted/surrendered/MIA. Their best equipment is either destroyed or captured by Ukrainians. Another approx 50k arrived to frontlines as “trained volunteers” and they still lost more land than they had captured since the fall of Lysychansk, and they are losing more every day. In whose brilliant mind sparkled an idea, that 300k lousy trained and badly equipped “reservists” can still turn the current tide of the war? Putin just sent another 50k-100k of their own people to die, because Ukraine will not stop. And even before the mobilisation, he already angered almost all of his allies, who feels how weak Russia is. If these 300k will not make any more difference on the battlefield, the probability of Russia ending up torn to pieces, just skyrocketed. And I bet, China is currently starting to do calculations, how to get back all the land, they’ve lost after Boxer Rebellion.

  31. Full mobilisation is effectively today a reality. Even if it's called "partial". Because lets face it, their military infrastructure sucks and half their hardware is repossessed by Ukrainian farmers (minus the stuff at the bottom of The Black Sea) https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-62984985 "Mr Putin said the partial mobilisation was necessary to ensure Russian territorial integrity. Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky said it showed Mr Putin wanted to drown Ukraine in blood - including that of his own soldiers. The announcement applies to 300,000 military reservists." Edit: So, a quarter of a million more men to be sent to the front (if we deduct the expected 50000 deserters)

  33. If it were that easy, everyone would just announce "x is now my territory!" There would be no wars anymore, anyone could do that. I still don't believe russia would use nukes... guess we will find out soonish.

  34. Called it. Medvedev said in the Duma today that once the referendums are held and those territories become a part of Russia the strategic equation in the world will change because Russia will be defending Russian territory and Ukraine will be the invader. He also then added that Russia can use "all means available" to defend its own territory. So Putin's last, desperate plan is: Hold referenda in which 110% of the people vote to become part of Russia. Pass laws annexing those territories. Declare that Russia is now merely defending its own territory, and Ukraine is the invading aggressor. Demand that Ukraine stop its invasion of Russia or else Russia will use nukes to stop the Ukrainians. Count on the West not having the guts to follow through with its promise that Russia crossing the red line of using nukes would result in NATO being drawn into the war.

  37. Like @Boeroersaid, nope, the DoT itself is a status effect not a weapon attack. Only the roll is a melee weapon attack. But with a chanter (old siec) or the barbarian totem, because every instances tick on hit, that can be nice!

  39. Consumables? They're for counting up at the end so I can complain about how badly balanced the game is and how I never needed to use any (except potions of clarity etc vs illithids and antimagic scrolls to cheese optional fights). When it comes to Anomen I'm with Bartimaeus. There is no argument for him which can overcome the monumental negative of being Anomen. I would however take both Jaheira and Viconia. Plus Jan, Imoen and Edwin. Then again my main criterion is people whose chirps don't make me want to stick skewers through my ear drums. Apropos of nothing also got a bit further into Pathfinder: WotR. Interesting NPC selection there, can see why they strongly suggest going for a fighter since the only recruitable meatshield I've met is Seelah. Who's also the only one who is remotely normal. Does literally everyone else have to have a quirky backstory, strange mannerisms and weird class? That's one of the worst things that Bioware style games have brought us. Still, black woman paladin married to a female half orc manages not to be a hopeless cliché in execution, so thumbs up there. There aren't really any hybrid (front line, to exclude Lann) fighters either apart from Camellia- and yeah. Also 'nice' to see that the tradition of annoying characteristic draining enemies has been maintained. [yes, I am aware of the irony of having a Jaheira/ Viconia/ Jan (haha lol)/ Imoen/ Edwin party in BG2 and complaining about companions in another game being over quirky]

  42. Really, all the details are immaterial: Anomen cannot be in the party because he is Anomen. Anomen is Anomen is Anomen, and that's just not acceptable. You see him in the Copper Coronet, he calls out "fair lady" to you as you walk by, you throw his corpse into the dumpster, and then you go about your day. Seriously, I am not going to be called "fair lady" by that smarmy stupid voice and let it go unpunished, it's just not happening.

David Gaider has confirmed him as bi-/pansexual, and he is selectable to hire a male drow prostitute in the Underdark. [citation needed] Valygar was also meant to be romance option for females. Suna Seni is also involved in his romance. During development of Throne of Bhaal, David Gaider wanted to add this romance but couldn't due to time constraints.
