In the beginning of June, I have posted a Tweet about destruction of Wagner Base deep in LNR with hundreds of their mercenaries blown up. At the time it was just a rumour, although Girkin the **** was tweeting little bit about it as well, in the UA, there was almost complete silence about this mission. Now finally after month and a half, there is finally official confirmation of this attack from the Ukrainian side, in a nice article, how the information is collected behind enemy lines. The number of killed mercenaries is between 50 - 200, which is a pretty big blow, as most of these Wagners were highly trained and disciplined compared to DNR/LNR "volunteers". https://kyivindependent.com/national/exclusive-inside-ukraines-covert-operation-to-take-out-elite-wagner-group-mercenaries-in-donbas4 points

Have bucket, will travel. Paper bag on head, because of course you can cat. Took me a while to notice that (a tiny robot) B-12's eyes were visible from the backpack on the cat. Which is cute. These things are not cute. They're like a cross between alien ticks and those head crab things in Halo.4 points

India just buys Russian oil and sells it to west and Greece is so nice that they help them to hide origin of the oil when Greece tankers carry the oil. https://www.dw.com/en/fact-check-is-india-violating-the-eu-oil-embargo/a-62291074 https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/greece-emerging-new-hub-russian-ship-to-ship-fuel-oil-exports-data-shows-2022-05-19/ As there is no sanctions against Russian oil in the EU, there is not illegal in what they are doing, but when energy companies in EU say that they have stopped using Russian oil they probably don't tell truth as most of them buy oil from Greece. Strangest thing is that Russia is make less money from oil than before as they sell it to India with massive discount, and also India don't seem to make much profit of the arrangement. Meaning that it looks like that EU's energy companies are the party that seems to make most of the profit, because market price of the oil is so high, as they seem to buy oil cheaper than before Ukraine crisis, but sell fuel in record high price because of oil's market price.3 points

There is no block for exporting Russian grain and fertilizers. Russia is blocked exporting grain and fertilizers they have taken from Ukraine. Russia has self blocked its exports because they feel they aren't treated fairly. https://www.wsj.com/livecoverage/russia-ukraine-latest-news-2022-03-04/card/russian-ministry-recommends-suspending-fertilizer-exports-8gJNAaRR7PBi6HvV4T3o So US farmers haven't been able to buy fertilizers from Russia even though there is no import duties, because Russia doesn't sell fertilizers. Media seem to be very lazy when it comes to details why these negotiations happen.3 points

Officially it isn't the final season and the show isn't cancelled. Since they've released the actors from their contracts and Seth M is working directly on other projects there certainly won't be a S4 any time soon though whatever is said. Re Wheel of Time: Prime (hoho) example of someone with very little talent trying to improve something written by someone with far more talent. Why Amazon thought someone whose main claim to fame was being a competitor on Survivor and had zero show running experience was a good idea for running a big and expensive show who knows. And it was incredibly expensive, but looked cheap, felt both rushed and padded for length and at times would have been embarrassed by 90s era Hercules for both sfx and- lol- battle scenes even without mentioning the non sensical plotting. Then again allegedly 10% of the entire budget goes towards paying Pike... Funny thing is that the one thing that has been universally praised and iirc has got an Emmy nomination is the one thing the show runner had basically nothing to do with and actually follows the books- the animated shorts.2 points

Here's an excellent article on current issues in the Ukraine war (and also some coverage of the Iran-Russia connection and lessons for China v. Taiwan. But most importantly, a great assessment of Putin's current mindset about the war (very troubling): https://www.voanews.com/a/us-warns-putin-falling-for-his-own-rhetoric/6667777.html2 points

If I remember correctly Swift Flurry/HBD don't generate wounds nor focus (some time ago I played a Shattered Pillar/Soul Blade, but maybe my memory is failing me, maybe they generate focus but no wounds only). However, Offensive Parry does generate focus AND wounds which makes Shattered Pillar/Soulblade an intesting combo. Offensive Parry also triggers Swift Flurry/HBD attacks which makes this even more interesting. Against weaker melee foes you will be drowning in wounds while killing stuff quickly. You will gain focus for Soul Annihilation with the parries and can spam it. What's even cooler imo is that with Nomad's Brigandine's immunity vs. disengagement attacks you can disengage at any time which will lead to all disengagement attacks against you missing which in turn leads to Offensive Parries. In combination with the Long Stride this can be a big tactical advantage' moving away from harm while at the same time creating wounds and focus, dazing the enemies AND potentially causing Swift Flurry/HBD cascades, too. Imagine you are faced with a lot of melee enemies and they start to surround you, you feel uncomfortable so you take a few steps away so that the enemies are in front of you again, collect all the disengagement attacks and parry them, gain focus and wounds, hurt some enemies in the process and then have them in the perfect position for a Soul Annihilation cone attack. You kind of also need this trick from time to time because deflection of Monk/Soulblade won't be superhigh - compared for the usual Offensive-Parry-mix made of Paladins, Tricksters, Fighters, Priest of Wael or Wizards. At least on PotD. On lower difficulties you can do a lot more parries with a little less deflection. You also need max RES and all the melee deflection+ gear you can get. This also means Port Maje's Well Travelled Supplier paid with Berath Blessing points is good for you (because then you'll get a cheap Cloak of Greater Deflection superearly). I never tried Berserker/Soulblade with WotEP because I can't see particulary nice synergies there except the stacked weapon PEN (+1 WotEP, +1 Hammering Thoughts, +2 Tenacious). Could work well with a healing-on-kill pet though in combination with SA+Blood Thirst.2 points

Thank you for the feedback guys) To resume all that, there seems to be 4 variants: leave CP:Keywords as is. With new FireWeapons, FrostWeapons, ElectricityWeapons, CorrodeWeapons keywords. And Ring of Focused Flame not adding +10 acc to weapons which had Fire keyword. (but make sure that fire/frost procs are not lost on Sun & Moon attacks; and 25% fire proc on Sun&Moon first head attack benefit from that +10 acc and Scion of Flame) make Ring of Focused Flame add +10 acc to attacks keyworded with both Fire and FireWeapons (and thus recreate vanilla feel) make Ring of Focused Flame add +10 acc to attacks keyworded with Fire, and also to Firebrand (but not other weapons) remove these new keywords completely, and thus undo Phenomenum's work. Note: elem/phys weapons won't be able to deal damage to respective elem-immune enemies @Boeroerit would be also great to hear your stance on this ^2 points

Only bit they really could have cut was the very start, and the obligatory 20/21st century pop culture reference. Orville s3e8- liked this one just about unreservedly.2 points

IIRC aren't Fire Naga not fire immune? They simply heal instead of taking damage. They actually have very low Burn AR to heal more from burn damage. I don't think they have fire immunity to begin with, so I don't think it's the same situation as Essence Interrupter not dealing damage to keyword shock immune, or And Sip From the Marrow instakill not working against acid immune.1 point

I agree that it would be much simpler to just take away keyword immunity from monsters and give them damage immunity instead. This is likely a minor buff for the player but would make the rules much simpler, especially since you often can't see keyword immunities in their descriptions. This might have minor ramifications for poison/disease immune Paladins and shock immune Furies but otherwise I think keyword immunities on monsters is just arbitrary punishment for the player right now, who often only realizes the monster is immune after trying a spell on them.1 point

Offensive Parry does not have a cone. Only your active attacks do. Other triggered attacks like Riposte, Mob Stance, Barbaric Retaliation etc. do not have a cone afaik. If you're playing a single class Barbarian and just want to counter-attack everyone to death I'd suggest you treat deflection as a dump stat and make use of Barbaric Retaliation instead.1 point

I have discovered that seedless jam is apparently vile. I had not previously known this due to only ever having had jam with the seeds in it, and I certainly did not expect the difference to be so stark. It is an error that will never be repeated.1 point

From what I remember, some weapons were made elemental when the arcane archer was introduced, to offer people more weapon choices. The changes proposed by MaxQuest are basically more nerfs introduced to the vanilla game, but don't fix the main problem... Personally, the problem that bothers me the most is the fact that monsters immune to an elemental type are also immune to other damage types because of the keyword immunity. Also the same monsters take damage from the same elemental damage they're supposed to be immune if there's no keyword attached to it (lash damage for example). My solution to this problem is to make monsters immune to the respective elemental damage (by changing their armors), instead of elemental attacks (remove immunity to keywords). As for the weapons tagged as elemental I keep my previous suggestion - give them a second damage type to justify the elemental keywords, instead of removing them - or let them like they're now.1 point

Good question…to be honest I don't know I tested one other thing: How much exp does each party member get? By looking at the actual character sheet exp, not just the console. For the test, I always disarmed the same trap. As a solo char: Player char gains 280 exp (as expected). With Aloth in party: Player char gains 126 exp. Aloth gains 126 exp. Total 252 exp. I have no idea why this is different from last time. With Aloth dismissed: Player char gains 144 exp. Aloth gains 129 exp. Total 273 exp. Unfortunately, the numbers are inconsistent and don't "divide" easily. So I still don't know exactly where they come from. I'm not sure whether this is an oversight, or by design. It may be for "carrying" dismissed companions along, so they are not too far behind your level, if you pick them up later. But one thing seems certain: Avoid hiring companions just to get their gear. Even if you dismiss them immediately, you'll get lower exp for the rest of the run.1 point

Good) Firebrand looks like a good candidate to get into first category. It is a summoned weapon, and description says it is made of pure flame. And yes, I am ok with upping it's PEN if it is changed to fire damage only. The question is: do we want it to deal damage to fire blights and magma dragon or not. I don't care much neither about this aspect. Just a bit of consistency I don't think so But would expect the game would add automatically the +1 PEN from elemental talents to weapon lashes Those are surprisingly not lashes, but rather damage procs. The 25% fire damage proc happens, when the character deals damage with flail attack that has Fire keyword. The 25% frost damage proc happens, when the character deals damage with flail attack that has Frost keyword. Needa check You want the first main attack to benefit from Ring of Focused Flame? Yeah, I was thinking about Elemental keyword added to spell too))1 point

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/24/world/middleeast/american-commandos-russian-mercenaries-syria.html I occasionally read the wikipedia page about it, because I love that story so much. It's exactly what you expect from idiot leaders, their lies and propaganda.1 point

Yes, you can do that with most (all?) of the companions. If you don't take them the first time they will wait in a fitting spot for you to pick up later (see Pallegina at VTC headquarters etc.). Very nice testing that shines some new light on the XP distribution!1 point

Huh, Iran too... Saudi Arabia has become a major buyer of Russian oil https://www.reuters.com/business/energy/exclusive-saudi-arabia-doubles-q2-russian-fuel-oil-imports-power-generation-2022-07-14/ Supposedly they buy refined oil cheap and sell their own crude to western countries at premium rates.1 point

i guess my response is rhetorical - why would you personally choose one or the other? off the top of my head, i don't know what is particularly great about berserk in conjunction with SB. I can see Shattered Pillar being a great focus generator with swift flurry. Would you still want to use WotEP over monk fists?1 point

Yeah, it's not a traditional platformer. I could tell that from the videos, because I dislike most of those almost instantly on sight. I'd call it more of a story driven visual walking and ... not puzzles, but look for items/find the solutions to progress story type of thing. Example, need a # code to open a door, have to find the code somewhere in the area. Need to get up somewhere, have to do something with something to be able to do so. It's not difficult but occasionally I was hunting a bit before I noticed. Since everyone plays at a different speed, not sure how far you are in an hour. Game says I've done 2.5 hrs. and I probably spent a lot of that in the Slums area, leaping around trying to find all the items and figure out what I was supposed to do. I quite enjoy it. It's really simple and yeah you just follow "x" prompts (there are many "x" marks that lead nowhere, too) but I like the hunt for the music sheets for example, and I'm curious about the history/story. Edit: I like B-12, too. So far, outside of "cat, well animated, cute stuff" and the moody/eerie visuals and atmosphere, I'd consider it a good/fun but not great casual game. I don't think I'd play it more than once, unless there are different endings or something. The only thing I haven't liked is the save system. It seems to save at checkpoints (single slot), and while I was going thru the slums, I thought about exiting a few times but the game would say "last checkpoint 12 minutes ago" and I didn't want to lose progress so I kept wandering and doing stuff, trying to find a point where the game would save again. I'm not clear yet if it saves on exit regardless and I didn't want to risk it. So that was kind of annoying. >.>1 point

Stray. The only thing I saw proper of this game was its initial announce, and I recently heard about the highly positive reviews. So I played about an hour...and I wasn't terribly impressed. It's effectively a dolled up and slightly more exciting than usual walking simulator, and a seemingly completely linear one at that. For some reason, I expected there to be like...platforming of some kind, something to take advantage of the unique element of being a literal cat, but this isn't a game where you can jump or even accidentally fall off anything. Maybe I went in with the wrong expectations.1 point

More thoughts... Allow the stone arch to be placed at a 45° angle and not just 90°. Yes to half walls, and half roof pieces too (both vertical and horizontal). Fix the feathered corner roof piece to actually overhang and cover a corner (as it actually is just a curved roof piece). Either make both a true corner and a curved roof pieces, or widen it at the corner enough to cover the large gap that is created. Allow more wall and other pieces to overlap/phase (not give the "location obstructed" message) with curved walls, and stone arches, to better aesthetically connect, build, and close gaps. Yes to beams for design and structural purposes (connecting two arch walls at the top for example). Add a curved arch opening, stone door frame, curved crenelated half wall, and stone stairs (maybe make these L-shape). Not saying we need Valheim levels of options, but a bit more flexibility with what we currently have, and addition of a few key perceived missing pieces would really make the sandbox feel complete.
