  1. The Katrenn fight is much easier on rainy nights. Katrenn and the constructs take cover from rain like other NPCs, and it is possible to kill Katrenn without aggroing all of the constructs.

  2. So anyway I was looking onto taking G to Spain for her Birthday. I hadn't told her yet, she mentioned once a while ago she wanted to see Europe, Portugal & Spain in particular. I was 100% up for that. I've never been anywhere in Europe myself and I can speak Spanish passably well from working in Mexico. But I'm going to keep that one in my pocket until next year. Now she wants to visit Canada. It's literally three hours north of us but she's never had time to go. I suggested going to the Stampede in Calgary in July. Well take a week and explore southern Alberta and Calgary and come back through the Dakota's. She's very excited. I think is sounds like fun. The only place in Canada I've ever been is Toronto. And that was just for work.

  5. That time etc. etc. slime (too long title) After having more or less genocided the Ogres, the Orc horde enters the swamp lands of the Lizardmen. Fortunately, the one of them with a bit of brain is their king and he orders his son, Gabiru (who has no brain), to leave their village with a Lizardman army and recruit allies amongst the neighbouring people, mostly Goblins, to help with the fight against the Orc horde. He does that for a while, straining his intellect to the bursting point in doing so. His warriors are no less intellectually challenge and start goading him into seizing power, because... he's such a great warrior, a hero and a genius, much better at everything than his dad, the king. If anyone has see The Fifth Element, it was like a throwback to Ruby Rhod and the way his sycophants were fawning all over him. I can't remember if I mentioned it before, but he really is smarter, stronger and faster than his warriors, because he got a name bestowed upon him by Lord Gelmud (who we know nothing about at this point except he also has a master whose bidding he's doing). Some particularly hilarious scenes has Gabiru basking in sunlight beams, reflected off the shields of his warriors (who points the light towards their hero), looking like a movie star posing for the cameras... Eventually believing his own delusions, he deposes of his father the king and decides to round up Rimuru's village as "cannon fodder", in addition to the 7000 goblins he already conscripted for the glorious nation of the Lizardmen. Tl;dr; it didn't go to plan and his unconscious form gets carried off by his warriors. However, Rimuru has come to the conclusion (well, not really by himself, but a visit of a Dryad, the caretaker of the forest convinced him) that the Orc Lord and his horde (200000 strong) needs to be dealt with. Gathering his villages and the 6 Kijin (ex-Ogres), he and his army squares off against the Orc army. Rimuru doesn't even get to flex any of his magic muscles as between them, the 6 Kijin annihilates a quarter of the Orc army and forces a confrontation between the Orc Lord and Rimuru. To make a long and epic battle short, Rimuru is victorious and the Orc Lord is mortally wounded. From the dying Orc Lord, Rimuru learns a bit of exposition, who the Orc Lord was before he was given a name and why he was found dying in a wasteland by Lord Gelmud. A long and devastating famine had threatened to wipe out of the Orcs, dying a slow and painful death from starvation. Gelmud used this by bestowing a new ability on the Orc Lord, who could pass it on to his people. Similar to Rimuru, Orcs can (or could, the ability got consumed by Rimuru when defeating the Orc Lord) eat not only dead enemies, but their own dead and so sustain themselves, even growing stronger and absorbing the strength of the fallen they eat. Basically turning them into an almost mindless horde of ravenous, all consuming swarm of land sharks.... but, Rimuru offers the surviving Orcs, that they can join his village. They get food and shelter in return for providing muscle and labour to they growing community. Some time during the battle with the Ord Lord (named 'Geld'), Lord Gelmud had stressful experience where his head got separated permanently from his body.... Last thing to do, Rimuru frees the Lizardman king from captivity and they enter an alliance. At a gathering, they all declare Rimuru "Grand Chancellor of The Great Forest of Jura" (with the Dryad's blessing). A few hints and about what was going on before, including Lord Gelmud's master, but not much info yet. Gabiru gets sentence exile (much to his surprise, as he was convinced he was going to die) by his father, the king. Three of his closest syco... followers are overjoyed, knowing that he'll survive, and decides to follow him into exile.

  8. I'd honestly much rather Obsidian made an Alpha Protocol sequel (Sigma Protocol?) rather than NV2. Granted, SEGA owns the IP, but it's not like Microsoft is hurting for money and SEGA probably wouldn't ask for an arm and a leg, given that they're not doing anything with the IP and probably never will.

  9. Some type of powered motorized zipline puller, with parts from the TAYZ.T a battery and some type of oil from another enemy to keep it lubricated to grind (keep it working) This powered zipline upgrade lets you zipline up, horizontally, down at a set speed without gravity been a problem. Edit: You unlock the the normal ziplines from the hedge, but maybe you unlock the powered zipline puller from the Assistant Manager and to keep it working you have to grind TAYZ.T's.

  10. My recommendation is for the addition of a rudimentary chemistry set for crafting more advanced formulas as well as formulas that may already exist. In the process I believe the addition of totems should exist in the game. Using the chemical formulas you craft and applying them to a totem you should be able to use the totems to either increase or decrease insects in the immediate environment. You could create different totems for different insects with a unique visual representation designed into each totem, much like the existing ant head ward. Typically these totems should have a countdown timer. Maybe carrying a totem in your off hand could be used to create a mobile safe zone as you walk through territories frightening off specific creatures.

  12. it might be better as you level up. as higher levels, you would gain pretty good focus AND you wouldn't have action economy issues of having to attack to generate that focus first. it's pretty slow in RTwP as well at first. Auto-attacking or multiclassing with caster is a pretty good solution for psion (though again, once you start getting 2 or 3 focus/second [12 or 18 per turn iirc for turn-based] i think focus issues disappear rapidly onec you realize that you gain that focus even when casting powers.)

  13. It's not a perfect analogy, but keep in mind that the Patriots were arguably even worse than the Warriors were during the 60s-90s, and they were "the Patriots" as we know them by the end of the 2000s after having won 3 titles. Golden State went to five straight and won 3, so it's not particularly different to me - they came out of nowhere to dominate the 2010s, and now they look to want to establish a second leg of dominance just like the Patriots did. Yeah, I'm gonna be cheering against Golden State. Well...I would be, except I like Boston even less, while I still haven't made up my mind about how I feel about Miami in relation to the other two options. Which is precisely why basketball will feel dead to me after Dallas is eliminated here, .

  14. Nope, I don't have cable, but I have access to free over-the-air channels that has stuff like Fox and CBS Sports, which would cover the majority of NFL games. NBA is a bit more spotty because like half of the games are on channels that aren't free over-the-air and also the NBA doesn't seem to have a good national TV deal like the NFL does (for example, AFAIK @ShadySands's Denver Nuggets are basically never on TV in Colorado at all because some incredibly garbage service bought the home market rights and so unless you happen to have the very specific service, it's not really possible to watch most of their games legally - correct me if I'm wrong about this Shady).

  15. Apparently, this classic 3 wounded to 1 killed ratio does not apply to the Russian army because a) wounded are left behind to die, b) medical care on the front is at an abysmal level. It's significantly worse than 3 to 1 with Russia, but the exact number is impossible to say. This bit of info comes again from a military expert.

  16. una pequeña sugerencia que es explorar mas el jardin pero bajo tierra. los hormigueros mas amplios, las cuevas mas largas y tambien que se pueden construir tus casas bajo tierra. Agregué un nuevo insecto y como seria una casa creada de una bellota. solo es una idea si les parece. soy malo con el ingles asi que fue convertido por google. a small suggestion that is to explore the garden more but underground. the widest anthills, the longest caves and also that you can build your houses underground. I added a new insect and how it would be a house created from an acorn. It's just an idea if you like. I'm bad with English so it was translated by google.

  18. A big reason for losses high up in the hierarchy is that the system is indeed extraordinaly hierarchical in the sense that initiative is positively discouraged, and in strong terms. Thus, when logistical or other problems occur, someone lower in the command chain is unwilling to make a choice, because it could be wrong and the consequences would be severe. Thus, someone from higher up the command chain will have to come over and solve the problem, which may mean long telephone calls, which may mean Ukrainians listening, which may mean sniper fire or missile strike. According to the military experts I've listened to, you don't get stuff like this in most modern armies, but the Russian army is different.

  19. Only those people who are anti-Western who keep telling us their is going to be a "new world economic " order due to Putins War believe the $ is an unsafe currency Its the same rhetoric and grandstanding we all heard after 2008 and yet the $ is still the worlds reserve currency Words like the " weaponization " of the $ are exaggerated and ignore the fact that none of these economic sanctions occur in a vacuum. So its not like the US has ever implemented these types of $ based sanctions before and this was consequence of the unprovoked invasion of Ukraine And then most importantly the question is " which currency should replace the $ and which country should we trust as the worlds reserve currency holder " ?

  20. I too, agree with this. I feel I have to cluster everything together and then even sometimes a certain workstation won't be able to access one type of item. Another feature I miss is, (I swear when it first released on xbox) you didn't have to have the materials on you to build something from blueprint, It would work if a chest was nearby and you could just build it that way as long as the chest had the required items in it.

  21. There are items that will restore some willpower if you can find them and/or get to them, plus you sometimes restore some willpower at story points. Reducing hunger is easy enough, you feed on a human, but that may come with consequences, especially if you aren't discreet about it, given that the whole purpose of The Masquerade is to keep the existence of vampires a secret from humans.

  22. Spy x Family 7: I forgot to mention in my previous comment. Anya is 4 years old and is pretending to be 6. Imagine how it would be like going to school like that. Imagine doing the homework for kids two years older... It's Anya's first class. She tries to get the mission back on track but, despite her brave efforts, things don’t go well. Yor tries to help her with math, but an assassin’s thoughts are not the best examples for a child. So Anya freaks out and lock herself in her room. Still, she ends up studying on her own until falling asleep. At least now Loid understands he has to be a better father.

  23. Assuming you have a supported Windows version that still gets critical updates and you have no other reason to use it (if you can't think of any off-handedly, you don't have any*), just don't use anti-virus software, especially not if it comes from Norton or McAfee, but generally... just don't. Waste of money, waste of system resources and if you get unlucky, a gaping gateway into your system - or it just might kill the OS. Turn on Windows Defender, throw out the AV, buy yourself a nice steak for dinner with the money saved. *E.g. you need it to prevent USB attacks by users who don't know what they're doing when they just randomly plug in freebie USB devices, or worse, stuff they picked up from the floor. Arguably still can use intrusion detections systems without their AV parts, but they're often just part of the same suite anyway.

  26. Matter of fact a mod that does this already exists: https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/499 Uses the same data structure as other promotional item DLC for Deadfire from what I can tell, and the author mentions having Obsidian's permission to upload it.

  27. we got a 7 series viking, 48", dual fuel, (VDR74826GSS) and for what it cost, it should be able to read our mind w/o the need for us to depress buttons or turn knobs. that said, is surprising few confusing doohickeys and whatchamacallits on the viking... though am gonna admit we initial gave the "gourmet-glo" *snort* infrared broiler the skunk eye with its six freaking settings. serious? there is a feature for backlight knobs which we used once- were christmas when we had young guests. red and green. is not s'posed to be for decoration, but whatever. the linked manual reveals just how few non-intuitive features the model boasts. is designed to cook food and not do our taxes or navigate solar space travel. we prefer simple. as for washer... we got some kinda whirlpool model whatever. matty ryan and ice-t say we should wash our clothes in cold water 'cause climate change, something-something. at this point we throw clothes in, hit power and then start and hope for the best. HA! Good Fun!

  28. The Warriors were bad for about 30 years, and then they drafted well, hired a rookie coach, won a surprise title against King James, set the NBA record for wins in a season, and lost in 7 to King James. That was all before KD showed up. Now they spent the previous 2 years without KD, rebuilding depth, recovering from injuries, and getting nowhere near the playoffs. They've finally gotten healthy, they've rebuilt the bench, and they are playing better team basketball than everyone else. Are they the Patriots of basketball? I'd say they are more like the Showtime Laker or the Gretzky Oilers. As for KD being Brady, pshaw I say. Pshaw!
