My experience is that the Nordic countries tend to have plenty of decent politicians. Here's a good example: the former foreign and prime minister of Finland tweeting about the war. He makes excellent points in this 10-tweet thread. There's nothing groundbreaking about any of this, but it is good political discourse, nevertheless. I wonder what @kanisathathinks about it. NB: In case anyone wants more information on this guy, it's good for you to know that the Wikipedia article concerning him is A. Stubb.4 points

I am sorry if I am wrong with my English, but everything what has an engine and swims on water has a single name in my language, and that translates as a ship in English And looks like you are correct This is what has been assigned to special underwater operations during the night. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raptor-class_patrol_boat As for something completely different, On Russian social media a lot of Russians who moved to Crimea, are now preparing to leave back home, being afraid that they get trapped there, if they manage to destroy the bridge to Russia. And are afraid of possible Ukrainian retaliation, for what Putin have done to Bucha and Mariupol. Also, rumours of Lukashenko starting negotiations with Ukraine start to circulate on Russian social media, which people assume, that means, that Russia lost the war. Most of it is definitely rumour, but it shows, that it is not just bouquets of roses on the mind of Russians living close to Ukraine, and the support for Putin's war is lower day by day Also it looks like Ukraine found a hole in Russian air defense and they managed to sneak in with few planes and bombed Belgorod.4 points

Looks like Lavrov had again his bright mood. After Moskva sunk, he immediately started threats about nuclear WW3, if NATO does not stop helping Ukraine, as they consider it as a direct NATO involvement against Russia. Few days later, he have made a statement, that Russia is not in a conflict with NATO at all. And today, in the conjunction of denazification and Zelenskyi being a jew, he made a statement, that even Hitler had jewish ancestors... And some people here are suggesting, that we should take Russian statements a little bit more serious Also two more ships "ishli na chuj" near Serpent Island Courtesy od Bayraktars. https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=741133780230854 Also considering the Gerasimov incident, there is a report of Major General Semionov being killed at that attack on Izyum. I have not seen any mentions of number of other casualties, just a mention of significant blow against the chain of command at Izyum. Also when speaking about inflated numbers, Russia has released statement, that they killed more than 200 Ukrainian soldiers in the east with air attacks in a single day. Aaaand the Kherson airport at Chornobaivka has seen another round of explosions of Russian encampment (I have lost count at bombing nr. 18 )4 points

Some of these news about Russians pillaging and looting are somewhat sad: it seems so petty of them to do this kind of stuff, especially when you contrast it with Lavrov's demands that help for Ukraine should cease. The attitude is so mad: "we have the God-given(*) right to kill, rape and plunder, but you cannot help our victims". It beggars belief. Here's the piece: https://edition.cnn.com/2022/05/01/europe/russia-farm-vehicles-ukraine-disabled-melitopol-intl/index.html (*) God-given comes from the church, from Kirill. Incidentally, newspapers and other media outlets put "alleged" in front of pretty much everything, for legal reasons (i.e. a killer's status will remain "alleged" until his sentencing even if everyone knows he did it, and Cristiano Ronaldo will have "allegedly" dropped a cellphone even if you see him do it in the accompanying video clip). It's both silly and funny, but newspapers do it to protect themselves against lawsuits (the classic piece of first advice for a journalist is: "Never call a thief a thief". He's always an alleged thief, if he hasn't been sentenced yet). The English rags don't really qualify as media, and it's really a damned shame there's a lot of people who get their information there.4 points

I think I start to understand why you like BG3 and why I don't.3 points
-
Yeah, the reason why that take's hotter than a whorehouse on payroll day isn't because it's based fully on conjecture, indirect evidence and a metric ****ton of wishful thinking. It's because if even 95% of Russia's nuclear arsenal is inoperable due to incompetence, grafting and embezzlement, you're still looking at hundreds of millions of casualties potentially.3 points

By the way: Swift Flurry/Heartbeat Drumming work very well with weapons which do multiple hit rolls with one attack. Any attack that can proc SF/HBD will lead to rolls with your main weapon. That means that an offhand crit attack (for example with Tuotilo's Palm) that triggers SF/HBD will proc main hand attacks. This is important because it means you should put the weapon that has a higher chance of doing a crit into the main hand. Sun & Moon is especially good here for the main hand because it does two hit rolls with its two flail heads. Both of them can crit and proc SF/HBD which will proc the two flail head attacks again (!) which increases the chance for a crit chain a lot. In addition to that the enchantments that may repeat a fire or frost attack also work with the flail heads --> even more chances to proc a chain of crits. Another weapon is Saru Sichr. Its DoT enchantment does a separate roll vs. Fortitude that can crit and counts as melee weapon attack that can proc SF/HBD. It's kind of working like Sun & Moon's dual heads, only that one attack roll is the normal weapon dmg and the second is the DoT. Because you can use the Morning Star modal to lower Fortitude, the chance to land crits is significantly increased (because the DoT targets fortitude naturally), but especially if you use an initial attack that targets fortitude as well - for example Force of Anguish or Skyward Kick (or Mule Kick and so on - or use Brute Force of the Barb to always target fortitude as long as it's lower than deflection - you get the idea). This setup will not produce as many crit chains as Sun & Moon + offhand weapon, but in my experience it procs a LOT more than with other two handed weapons. Also the DoT stacks like Bleedings Cuts and adds a lot more dps than one might think. Unfortunately it doesn't work against poison-immune foes. Still, Morning Stars have pierce/crush dang which is an awesome combo - the modal is very useful and the PEN is great, too. I can see a nice Monk/Fighter or Monk/Barb build with it. I'm using it on my SC Monk Xoti atm (used Sun & Moon + Tuotilo's Palm in a run before) and it's great. But admittedly I value the Morning Star modal so highly that I might be biased when it comes to a comparison between flails and morning stars. Of course Sun & Moon + T's Palm makes you more sturdy (Balanced Shield is an awesome enchantment). I'm sure there might me other weapons that work similarly and/or are well suited for a SF/HBD build (Rännig's Wrath, Spider Fang etc.) - those two above are also accessible pretty early which is a big plus imo. Well, R's Wrath can also get picked up quite early, but I guess a Rapier isn't really a "cleaving weapon" - I mean from a "vibes" standpoint.3 points

Hi everyone! I'm quite a latecomer to Deadfire, I just started, finished my first run to Ukaizo this month, after reading lots of build ideas from here, so I felt indebted to post mine. My first message on this forum. It was a fun to seek the most synergies to survive the PoTD mobs solo that fast, I think I find the most synergies for a melee-crit DPS build in there, after some of my test builds, then let's get on with it. At first, Berath's Blessings highly favorable for this build, especially the starting money,Mythical adra Stone and +2 attributes, I played this way. Race: Human (Synergies):1- Bloodied bonus easier to reach with Hellwalker, favorable for melee, +Might and Resolve is welcome as well Deadfire Archipelago: I wanted to max the Dexterity- Woedican Background: For power levels Mercenary- For athletics (the only skill we need except skillchecks) Weapons: Amra with Mythical Adra Stone- Wanton Gore/ Tempered Fury, Unarmed/ Tuotilo's Palm (Synergies):1- It's problematic to go Single type Slash damage with devoted since you can encounter immune enemies, but Monk class saves the day with literally zero investment. You can do unarmed crush damage to Slash immune enemies without devoted malus instead with devoted bonuses. 2-You can go with Magran's Favor time to time since playing single type weapon when devoted can be boring, enjoy one handed gameplay against lower tier enemies with Magran's Favor, not great synergy but it Magran's Favor comes legendary quality, requires minimal investment after acquiring. Battleaxes are only weapon type I know supports two different styles(one-handed/two handed) 3- %20 Crit Damage Battleaxe weapon modal comes handy with Fighter's Intuitive Bonus (%25 Hit to Crit Ratio) comes with Disciplined Strikes and other Hit to Crit bonuses I invested on. 4- Tempered Fury eliminates Frenzy Deflection Penalty useful in solo, %33 AOE useful against mobs as well. Headgear: Helm of The Falcon early game/ Champion's Helm late game optional. Synergies: 1: Helm of the Falcon easy to acquire if u have the money. Undebatable Best fit for 2 handed gameplays. 2-Champion's Helm brings extra flavor with riposte like ability, and increased attack speed agianst crowded mobs if u like. Armor= Reckless Brigandine / Blackened Plate Armor (Optional) Synergies: 1-Fighters already start with better engagement numbers, Hellwalker tends to lose health then it triggers extra armor+and damage makes you more staunch&faster at Bloodied state, where you exactly want to be. 2- Blackened Plate for artistic reasons and a lot of different bonuses (-Armor aura for more damage, Poison resistance, more Regeneration when life is low, random Inspirations when bloodied are all useful) Boots: Boots of the Stone Synergies : 1- +Dexterity +Resolve and Resistance to Might Afflictions comes extra handy while its Critical to maintain 25 might to fully benefit Amra. Belt: The Undying Burden Synergies : +2 Constitution while we need it as a Hellwalker, extra Second wind ( Athletics is a skill already to be invested to past skill checks) Damage Reduction increases with life lost makes you stauncher at bloodied state Rings: Entonia's Signet Ring- (Synergies): Stacking defenses trigger easily whilst solo 5x2= +10 total Ring of Solitary Wanderer- (Synergies): Meant for solo gameplay even by name Saves you from afflictions with +resolve and extra -%35 duration Cape: Cape of the Falling Star Synergies: All defenses including Deflection (better than either Protection-Deflection Capes) + Aoe damage when unconscious ( works with Fighter's Unbreakable Passive) Neck: Cog of Cohh (More Damage+ Aware Inspiration gives +5 Perception) Hands: Gatecrashers (Synergies): +1 Might useful to Reach Amra's 25 Might Threshold, Crit- Knockdown useful synergy for crowd management against multiple enemies Pet : Pes- +%10 Melee Damage %5 Hit to Crit Ratio Rest-Boon Officer's Stay : +2 Might+ Concentration - Rabyuna's Boon +1 Might +2 Resolve Attributes: Might: 11 Base +1 Human +2 Berath's Blessing :14 Total ( It's risky to go for more since wounds+ strong inspiration of frenzy brings +15, and handgear brings +1, Rest and Boons +3, is quite enough for good enough damage without risk reaching 35 hardcap especially if u save scam for alchemic cave+ get gift from machine) Constitution: 8 Base+ 2 Berath Blessing +2 Undying Burden 12 Total - (Limits you at the beginning but gets much better With Iron Wheel + Fit Inspirstion from Frenzy) Dexterity: 18 Base +2 Berath's +1 Deadfire Archipelago +1 Boots of the Stone (You'll hit crazy fast even with heavy armor) Perception: 12 Base + 2 Berath's + 1 Galawain's Reward ( 15 total is fair enough for accuracy, +5 from Cog of Cohh Aware Inspiraton) Intellect: 16 Base + Berath's ( longer Inspirations and Frenzy makes you finish the fight without needing time-resources for renewing them) Resolve:10 Base+ 2 Berath's +1 Human +1 Ring of Solitary wanderer + 1 Boots of Stone +2 Rabyuna's Boon ( 17 total is good enough to get rid of afflictons faster rate) Start Abilites :Constant Recovery+Devoted ( Endurance + Increased pen and Crit Damage From the start) Transcendent Suffering and Helscar (no need for ditching means of gaining wounds) Tier 1- Disciplined Barrage-Fast Runner-Swift Strikes-Force of Anguish( Force of Anguish is preferable to Knock Down since Discipline more needed than wounds for inspirations + your only skill uses wound powerpool) Tier 2- Fighter Stances- Two Handed Style (For Amra) - Determination- Confident Aim Tier 3- Swift Flurry(Crit-Speed Synergy is great) -Soul Mirror-Bull's Will-Disciplined Strikes (For Intuative) Tier4- Duality of Mortal Presence-Body Control (Another Resistance to keep your Might High) - Weapon Specialization-Vigorous Defense Tier 5-Mob Stance (More AOE+Speed vs Crowds) -Uncanny Luck (More on Crit) -Armored Grace (Synergy with Heavy Armor)- Enervating Blows (Synergy with Crit)- Unbending ( to further benefit from Hellwalker dmg malus) Tier 6- Refreshing Defense (Works great in solo since you're the only target) -Improved Critical (Needless to Say) -Iron Wheel (Endurance you needed to Negate the Hellwalker Malus) -Flagellant's Path (Move effectively Around Battlefield, the active you'll use the most) Tier 7- Unbreakable (More endurance on the battlefield) - Heartbeat Drumming ( Another great Synergy With Crit) You can optionally use Clear Out From Tier6 instead of Unbending Tier5 ( I actually go that way myself) to use remaining discipline for crowd control, instead of more endurance. And that's it, You'll have great Hit to Crit ratio, your Crits will do good damage, cause afflictions (Enervating Blows) do aoe dmg and trigger other attacks, you'll be heavily armored and still very fast (Bloodied+Frenzy+Full Dexterity+Mob Stance+Reckless Brigandine,Armored Grace,Swift Flurry and Headgear Bonus to attack speed) , 3 different powerpools to use while your might is crazy high without even much investing on it. Your inspirations will be very long, 2 second winds and one resurrection, more armor as you lose health(Reckless Brigandine) as you gain wounds (Iron Wheel) have constant life recovery, good defense (Refreshing Defense- Frenzy without Deflection Penalty (Amra-Tempered Fury) less time with Afflictions (Ring of Solitary Wanderer), Extra penetration and damage from Devoted. Quite hard to keep alive at start, but if u manage to gain level on trivial quest (not hard at solo) this build just becomes unstoppable. I guess its much more than one can wish from a Deadfire melee build I always welcome to hear your suggestions and corrections, thank you for your time if u read it all2 points

Well it also goes to this notion that only the West cares about Russia's actions in Ukraine. That's just blatantly and demonstrably false. Furthermore, even in those small number of non-Western states that have taken a "soft" approach to their reactions, it is only the governments of those states and not the people. In India for example, as that one article I linked showed, the press and public opinion are very strongly for Ukraine and against Russia. But the government is reacting cautiously because of some strategic factors. Ditto in Indonesia, Brazil, etc. And the truth about China is that even they are only publicly standing with the Russians while privately expressing very different views to Russia including that they strongly support Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. No country in the world has an incentive to not be supportive of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity lest their squishyness on those principles come back to personally haunt them in the future. And the outright comical stuff these Russian government officials, including Putin and Lavrov, keep saying only goes to cement the fact that they themselves know how bad things are for them and how completely isolated they are in the world. That's what explains the crazy stuff they spout. It's shear desperation + bitterness in the untenable global position they find themselves in these days.2 points

[CLASS BUILD] The Automated Evergreen Juggernaut a.k.a. Unbroken Fist - Solo Upscaled PotD with BPM Class: Unbroken/Forbidden Fist Concept: Undying single-target melee obliterator that pushes some critical game mechanics to dominate solo on BPM. Game Version: RTwP. I very much recommend playing with @Elric Galad's Balance Polishing Mod and the Community Patch. PotD Solo Viable: Yes, all Upscaled. Megabosses: I farmed Belranga and Dorudugan with Lover's Embrace, did Auranic properly. Didn't try Hauani. Companion: Nope. -----WHAT IS INTERESTING ABOUT THIS BUILD?----- The great thing about this build is its unique ability to win fights on full AI autopilot in almost any situation, and that it is optimized for the full BPM complement including nerfs. Very high Defenses (consistently in the 180-190 range) mean lots of incoming miss, some grazes, few hits and no crits. Very high AR (consistently in the 18-21 range) means the vast majority of damage rolls that go through are pushed in underpen or severe underpen which is awesome. Very high hostile effect reduction (-82%) means incoming CC or DoT that goes through is reduced to a couple seconds at best. Very high Healing (about 50hp/3s) and health pool (over 500hp) means damage is consistently outhealed and health is always near max. BPM is awesome here for the rework of Constant Recovery and Evergreen Vigor, and greater HP from CON. Then, Damage takes care of itself 100% through the FF ability. I carefully chose equipment, stats, permabuffs etc. to manage action speed/recovery so that Attack cycle time is 2.2s and FF curse duration is 2.1s. So the curse never builds up and we can keep spamming FF safely. Now the nice thing is that with Tactical Barrage and Swift Flurry + Nature Godlike and Hot Razor Skewers, we're almost always at PL10 which is VERY good offensively and defensively. Our Fists do an absolute truckload of damage, PEN is above 17 and Accuracy is in the 150s. Few enemies can take more than a few hits. Soul Mirror is great too for dealing damage passively. There are a few spots where we need to activate the small shield modal or retake manual control because we lost the Lone Wolf or are affected by an aura that affect RES... but that's in very few encounters (e.g. Boarding fights, fights with Ancient Fire Bat / Fire Drake) and doesn't affect the build's power - you just then have to actively play instead of relaxing and looking at things get pummeled to death. Putting everything together, I was surprised by how strong it becomes. There's a number of high-level encounters where I usually want to think about my strategy a bit, but here I just walk up to the enemy, begin the fight and grab a beer while I watch things unfold. Namely: all of Splintered Reef, the Ancient Liche Battlemage, the Ancient Fampyrs, the Witches, many SSS and FS fights, Dragons, Nemnok etc with no or very limited intervention from my part during the fight. -----STATS & BUFFS------ Race: Nature Godlike Background: Aedyr – Hunter FINAL STATS WITH ALL PERMABUFFS AND NO-REST BUFFS AS OF 5.0 (without combat buffs): MIG 27 (18 Base +2 Berath +1 Gift from Machine +1 Rabyuna’s Boon +2 Alchemic Brawn +2 Hot Razor Skewers +1 Effigy Resentment Eder (HAHAHAHAHA!)) CON 15 (8 Base +2 Berath +2 Alchemic Brawn +3 Girdle of Eoten CON) DEX 16 (7 Base +1 Godlike +1 Rabyuna +2 Berath +2 Alchemic Guile +2 Amira’s Blessing +1 Boots of the Stone) PER 23 (18 Base +2 Berath +2 Alchemic Guile +1 Savage Cunning) INT 12 (7 Base +1 Godlike +2 Berath +2 Alchemic Wits) RES 35 (17 Base +1 Aedyr +2 Berath +2 Alchemic Wits +2 Nature’s Resolve +2 Rikuhu’s Blessing +2 Rabyuna +1 Cauldron’s Brew +2 Eviee Pet +2 Token of Faith +1 Solitary Wanderer Ring +1 Boots of Stone) ADDITIONAL PERMABUFFS: Food: Hot Razor Skewers Adratic Glow All Trainings Dawnstar Blessing Luminous Adra Potion Nature’s Resolve (Accuracy) Savage Cunning (Survival) Galawain’s Gift Magran’s Blessing Immunity to all Sigils Infamous Captain, Bonus Skills, Champion Stats, Port Maje vendor, Fully discovered Map, Bonus Money… invested all 105 Berath’s Blessing Points SKILLS Mechanics 13 then max Athletics, Diplomacy 12 then max Survival. ----- ABILITIES ------ FINAL ACTIVES (ALL CRUCIAL UNLESS SPECIFIED) Fighter: Conquerer Stance (Yep! Best here). Tactical Barrage (key), Refreshing Defenses, Unbending Trunk (optional - I keep it as a panic button but never ever used it. Could pick some nice resistance passives instead). Monk: Swift Flurry. Iron Wheel. PASSIVES (ALL CRUCIAL UNLESS SPECIFIED) Common: Fast Runner (Optional). Arms Bearer (Optional). Weapon & Shield. Two Weapons. Tough (Optional). Improved Critical. Fighter: Determination (Optional). Rapid Recovery. Weapon Specialization. Superior Deflection. Armored Grace. Weapon Mastery. Monk: Soul Mirror; Crucible of Suffering; Heartbeat Drumming. -----GEAR------ Weapon Set 1: Kapana Taga (Mythic , All Comers, Lone Champion), Tuotilo’s Palm (Mythic, Precision Striker, Balanced Shield). Weapon Set 2: A scepter or whatever for destroying Sigils early on. Head: Nothing. Neck: Token of Faith. Chest: Patinated Plate (Mythic, Bronze Juggernaut, Constant Rebound). Cape: Cape of the Falling Star. Gloves: Bracers of Greater Deflection. Rings: Ring of Protection + Solitary Wanderer. Boots: Boots of the Stone. Belt: Girdle of Eoten Constitution. Pet: Eviee. That's it. Let me know if you have any comments or questions!2 points

Indeed. Berserker/Helwalker is a... daring combination. On the other hand: the wound generation through the twice-boosted self damage from Frenzy is pretty fantastic, hehe... If you have really potent healing options in the party it can be quite fun to play actually. Forbidden Fist/Berserker with very high Resolve has the advantage that the confusion of the Berserker will no last long (especially not wih Clarity of Agony) and you can use Berserker Frenzy to gain wounds. And if you stack enough RES and not too much INT and also get some -x% hostile effect gear you can heal a lot from removing hostile effects like Confusion and the Forbidden Fist Curse. Nearly enough to balance out the self damage. Still a rather squishy combo though - but not nearly as squishy as Helwalker/Berserker. Shattered Pillar/Berserker is less cool imo. You will still get the self damage - but you won't get any wounds from it. That's a synergy not taken and I can't see many upsides of a Shattered Pillar to balance that out. Indeed the best combo of Monk/Berserker is the Nalpasca. Wounds from Frenzy + wounds from drugs + wounds from Enduring Dance (potentially) is a constant stream of wounds (and works well with Rooting Pain by the way) without going down too quickly (like Helwalker). I think it also fits nicely thematically - drug infused rage and so on.2 points

https://edition.cnn.com/2022/05/02/energy/germany-russia-oil-embargo/index.html Another good move by Germany in its opposition to Putins War, to quote from the link "Germany can't be blackmailed, we know there is a dependency on natural gas from Russia, it is a reality. We need time to reduce this dependency," he told CNN. "This is the situation of the contracts and we do not change because Putin needs rubles for his war chest." Germany has reduced its consumption of Russian gas to 35% of imports from 55% before the war in Ukraine, but says it needs to keep buying from Moscow at least until next year to avoid a deep recession" Germany also agreed to send heavier military equipment to Ukraine. Hopefully this will end\reduce the unwarranted criticism towards Germanys response to the invasion of Ukraine2 points

This is the same thing I mentioned previously from an article in a different source. Apparently, despite all their previous claims that they had no claims on any Ukrainian territory and only the Crimea because of "special circumstances" from the Soviet era, now the Russians are claiming that all territory in Ukraine that was part of "new Russia" during the 19th century Russian empire belongs to Russia. But the Russians are apparently running into an unforeseen obstacle: the local "Russian" separatist leaders in these areas are angry because what they wanted was independent statelets that they could rule over and exploit as warlords, and not simply to be used as pawns by Russia for Russia to take those lands.2 points

Well just today there was a major article in the Wall Street Journal (unfortunately behind a paywall) quoting several top Russian officials including our favorite Russian jokester, Lavrov, claiming Russia now intends to carry out a broader global war against the US and the West in retailiation for the US and the West aiding Ukraine in their not-war with Russia. Lots of blather from the Russians about how this is all now a plot by the West to keep Russia down blah blah blah.2 points

Bind it to the barb without any hesitation - Disoriented means -10deflection, -1AR, -5per, +50% recovery which helps the entire party, not just you. Pick also Spirit Frenzy for more AoE debuffs. Lord Darryn's Voulge is a great weapon overall with just one drawback - it can't be enchanted over superb. However the berserker/devoted bonuses to penetration, the disoriented debuff and the dual damage ensure you will never ever need to switch weapons. Now the good things: LDD can be obtained basically as soon as you leave Port Maje the static charges are applied with every hit (carnage included) and are triggered on crit (which you will do very often) - that's basically like +10shock AoE damage on top of your carnage the Bolting Strikes proc is great - it triggers very easily and gives you +15% spd (stacks with all your spd buffs) and +15% shock dmg the shock damage and the fact you will crit a lot will help you overpenetrate very often The berserker/devoted is a crit build (crit bonus from Frenzy and from Disciplined Strikes stack) and it's a good thing to use items with procs triggering on crits (like Boltcatchers, Left Hand of the Obscured, etc). PS. The berserker has a pretty harsh self damage - especially at higher levels. To make things go smoothly there are a few key items which can help you completely negate the self damage (coupled with the Rapid Recovery of the fighter) - Devil of Caroc's Breatplate (removes confusion and regenerates health on crits), Three Trolls Stiched, Voidward, Ring of Greater Regeneration, Bone Setter's Torc/Footprints of Ahu Taka... Also a nice and easy helmet to get for this build is the Helm of the Falcon.2 points

Every application creates its own raw DoT stack, so you can very quickly absolutely doom an enemy. from a sheer devastation PoV, I think Streetfighter/Helwalker would be the best. Of note, a Wizard/Helwalker or Wizard/Streetfighter can permasteal Vatnir's spiritual weapons with Minor Grimoire Imprint, and that is something . Yes they got hit by the nerf bat really hard because they were enabling stupidly powerful multis...2 points

I dislike the getting bonuses from killing your own summons which limits what i've tried and can suggest. I think this build would benefit from it but doesn't need it, it just takes you longer to get going and against "boss" enemies with no weak enemies it can be harder. Ravager - Beserker + Nalpazca Can self-buff Might, Dex, Action Speed, Crit Chance, Pen, Int, Con... the only thing you can't improve (except for drugs/potion) is Perception/Accuracy (Monk "can" but need to not get hit or you lose it). A Priest can fill that Perception hole for you. Just need to make sure you keep healing that Beserker damage. Xoti is a great support Priest for this character, Triumph of the Crusaders is a personal favourite. There's a lot of synergies between them, monk wants Crits and Barbarian boosts crit rate and damage, plus lots of others interesting combinations: Frenzy gives 30% hit to crit rate and so many of the Monks abilities give you something on crit. Enlightened Agony can remove the Confused affliction. Stunning Surge if it crits refunds the cost and the stunned affliction gives defensive penalties. The free wound generation from Nalpazca drug taking can feed Torments Reach (+25% bonus damage + foe AOE damage & stun). Bloody Slaughter increases hit to crit chance and crit damage to help finish enemies off under 25% health, especially when combined with Frenzy and the Monks Swift Furry and Heartbeat Drumming to then trigger your on kill abilities. Enervating Blows to apply Weakened on crit, that lowers Fortitude so more likely to get stun on Stunning Surge. You might take Brute Force because of this if you have a spare point. Weapons? A lot of the monk abilities are Primary Attack so a two handed weapon could work well, single target or AOE: Oathbreaker with Scales of Justice can add a bit of AOE damage on kill. An axe so gets bonus Crit damage. Amra has AOE but it hits friendlies so need to be careful. An axe so gets bonus Crit damage. Karaboru is an interesting one as it has a chance of AOE damage on crit. Whispers of the Endless Paths is an obvious one for VS groups but will want a good 2nd option vs a single target. Wahai Poraga is a good early option but its another AOE that can hit friendlies. Lord Darryns Voulge is interesting as I believe Carnage applies the stacking effect. Duel Wield is also a good option since both attacks have the chance of triggering the extra hit on crit. The Tuotilo's Palm shield is classed as second weapon so can add a bit of damage on Full Attacks and has Transcendent Suffering applied so the damage scales whilst you have the defense of a small shield plus the option of the small shield modal to boost your accuracy. Maybe Sun and Moon with its double hits would work well giving another chance of the extra attack on crit. When I played this character I just used fists or Sabres, looking at these options I want to try it again!2 points

The build details are below, and here are 2 videos to give a bit of flavor. 1) The Menzzago encounter in Splintered Reef and 2) the first encounter with Infested Librarians in Forgotten Sanctum. They're not the hardest fights in the game but they're good enough and you can see how the build carries itself all by itself when Menzzagouille la Fripouille and all his friends/tentacles go to town with Missile Salvos etc. to no avail. And when those pesky Lvl 22 Monks with Tier 3 Inspirations try something similar, without success.1 point

I have been thinking about the reason for this constant gaslighting and embarrassing lies that come from Putin\Russia Since Putin came to power its become normal for them to lie and basically deny any allegation of human rights abuses, war crimes and other actions. This includes war crimes in Chechnya and Syria Assassinations of Russian dissidents throughout the world the killing and arresting of journalists within Russia poisoning of Navalny the rise of institutionalized bigotry where the Russia media and state ignore it the rise of a nationalistic Russian Orthodox Church that doesnt help things state sponsored cheating\doping in most sports events ensuring that no opposition political parties can campaign freely and fairly This has been going on within Russia for the last 20 years and the Ruskies just deny any of it is true and Russian apologists say things like " you cant trust Western media " yet they happily parrot the likes of RT and other similar Russian houses1 point

Thanks for sharing this! BPM's Evergreen Vigor is indeed nice for any build with significant healing. I was very curious about this when you first mentioned this build in another post. That could be a bit hard due to Helwalker taking more damage per wound, which I think affects the self damage you take from the Barbarians Berserker Frenzy. In addition I think the +10 Might would also increase the Berserkers Frenzy self damage as Might is applied to the damage frenzy does to yourself. Then when enemies attack you, being a Barbarian means your Deflection starts lower so your going to get hit and then hard because of Helwalker. Maybe a better player could make this work but personally I think Helwalker is easiest to use for ranged builds. I'd suggest Shattered Pillar instead of Helwalker if you really don't want Nalpazca, the penalty is in effect just "less bonus" of +5 INT & 10% Fire Dmg Lash instead of +10 and 20%. INT is handy for a bit more AOE on Carnage and the monks abilities (Torments Reach) but I think the extra duration on your abilities is the biggest benefit plus longer afflictions on enemies. Also on the plus side if no one attacks you and you are successfully attacking something then your generating wounds. The other option of Forbidden Fist i'm not sure if it would work in the style you want as you really need high RES for that subclass. It feels more like a tank build to me when I have high RES, though still does good damage. There are some tricks to gain wounds, which then can heal your Frenzy self-damage but thats not really my style so someone else would be better explaining them. Hence I went with Nalpazca as its simple to manage, passively gaining wounds regardless of what's happening and keeping your max wounds of 10 for the Turning Wheel bonuses.1 point

Cole Strange may wind up being undervalued by the media in hindsight, the weird thing is that they gave away Shaq Mason for almost nothing. They had a proven good guard, gave him away for a 5th round pick, then picked a guard in the 1st round that may or may not turn out to be good. If he winds up being a perennial All-Pro then well done, but what are the odds of that?1 point

My biggest WTF moment of the draft was the Patriots taking Cole Strange in the first round when they very likely could have had him in the second or even third, to fill a hole they themselves created when they gave away Shaq Mason for pennies on the dollar. Realistically, Cole Strange's upside is essentially Shaq Mason and Shaq Mason isn't that old, he most likely still has several productive years left. It just doesn't make any sense.1 point

Braised short ribs and mashed potatoes. The meat was fantastic, but I think I need to cook the sauce down instead of just straining it. On the bright side, I now have a sizeable amount of beefy red wine liquid that can be used later this week in something.1 point

Komi Can't Communicate: s1 part 2 episode 13 Naijimi uses the Behelit to sacrifice their friends and......oh wait, wrong anime. Uh, there was a guy version of Komi and some videogames. I don't really remember much else because I was cleaning up the kitchen with Komi playing in the background. As the pattern seems to go for this show, I'm more bored than offended like @majestic seems to be. Netflix is also trying to get me to watch Bubble, which I may check out when I'm in the mood for a sledgehammer (of exposition) to the face. Well we can't have that. Sorry Shinji, you'll have to get in someone else's robot.1 point

That eBay listing is for 8x8GB sticks, so that's not going to be practical. That said, depending on your case, you can increase the RAM clearance of the D15 by raising the fan somewhat. Just move the wire clip up a few notches until the fan is right up against the side panel. Hopefully that can widen your choices a little. 3200C14 will generally be expensive Samsung B-die, but Hynix-based 3600C16 is a decent alternative that comes reasonably decent at stock.1 point

The conservative approach is to dump completely resolve, keep constitution and dex at 10 and spread the rest of points between might, intellect and perception. A more aggressive approach (especially if you play with +2 all stats from Berath and stack resting bonuses) is to dump also constitution and pick later Tough ability.1 point

I was kind of surprised to be honest, but I guess I haven't been playing newer games. I thought about duping my own memory but it's around 8 year old model now.1 point

I was playing it a lot. But i didn't really get anywhere because i was testing out all the early early game things. I beat Radahn and after that i got back into Destiny 2 again to get my max pinacle level. And now i'm trying to get back to Elden Ring but i also have to get back into Monster Hunter Rise before expansion arrives at the end of June. So lots of playing to do, so little time because of work.1 point

Their last two drafts were good. Everyone after the Darrell Reeves up to Joe Douglas' hire were bad. We had something like a decade or more terrible drafts that were clearly terrible at the time. The last two years were good but Douglas had to get rid of a bunch of guys, clear cap space, trade for picks, and finally collect talent. It's taken three years and yes I do expect to see some results this year (not playoffs--the AFC East is too good to expect that).1 point

After 5-starring a few "cities", I reached the spot in Death Stranding where as soon as I run outside it's the first boss fight. Which is a good spot to copy the save directory elsewhere as a "if I ever restart, saves me some hours, save." But...while a few new missions are always nice I guess, about the only thing I was seriously interested in re: Director's Cut is the ability to use zip lines with the luggage sleds. That would have saved a lot of trips back and forth. OTOH, there was something peaceful about traveling across miles dragging those hover sleds behind me. ...but not like that's the biggest motivation, so now watch, I won't want to play it any further for weeks. >.> ...oh wait, look, a cheat mod that removes weight limit (height limit still in effect tho, my funny bone was disappointed not to be able to have a stack 300 feet high on Sam's back...) and enemy detection status (MULES just stand there jittering in place like they've had 10 gallons of coffee/don't fight back, BT's and heavier rain graphics don't show up at all). Maybe I will keep (re)playing after all! ...maybe. There was also a super-speed run cheat but that one caused Sam to fall through the ground into empty void-space a couple times so I crossed that one off the usable list. >.>1 point
