Patch 0.1.2 has been released. Included with it are the following changes and fixes we've made to the game: MAJOR ISSUES Better handling of dismissing profile selection at the Main Menu on Xbox One and Windows 10 Store versions which will help prevent saved games from going missing for players on the Xbox console and Windows 10 store. Fixed an issue where if you had the "Kill Mosquito" quest prior to the patch 0.1.1 release where it wasn't removed properly and would crash if you killed a creature while that quest was activate. Fixed crash with approaching a base with traps that has an insect being damaged by one when the player arrives. Resolved an issue that would cause random crashes with juice drop combining when approaching them. GAME We cleared out excess larva from games that still had large numbers of larva in their game from the infinite larva respawn issue prior to patch 0.1.1. Fixed the "Drop All" function not properly splitting items. ITEMS/EQUIPMENT/RESOURCES Resolved an issue with Mushroom Gardens, Dew Collectors, Acorns, and other resources not respawning after their initial spawns. Reverting the change, for now, to lock containers to one player at a time since it was causing containers to stay permanently locked occasionally Fixed an issue with Slime Mold Sconces not turning back on after loading back into a game. UI Removed "Customize Marker" from the Loot Backpack UI that was causing crashes if used (was not supposed to be available on that screen) We want to thank everyone for sharing their feedback and reporting issues as you come across them, as they are extremely helpful while we continue to develop this game. We also want to remind you that the team is constantly working to try to push out updates to enhance your gaming experience continually. rich's number one wouldn't have made our top twenty (perhaps thirty,) but am admitting were kinda fun to be reminded o' a few good tng episodes we typical do not rewatch but maybe will. disaster? has been years since we watched, and compare to poseidon adventure would not have been a selling point. nevertheless, it were a solid episode, and perhaps better than we recall... maybe. will definite rewatch. am kinda happy we overcame our contrarian reaction to internet lists... and speaking o' contrarian, am thinking we actual preferred the post best of both worlds episode, family, to the more obvious choice. and speaking o' contrarian, ds9 is still best star trek. so there. HA! Good Fun! ps absence o' inner light makes sense, in a way, but am thinking it showed the rlm guys were perhaps trying a bit too hard to not just copy/paste every other internet top tng list.2 points

Well, that would be the point, really. Having Obsidian design an open world fantasy RPG that doesn't jettison every other system and all semblance of game design, for the sake of the open world. Getting combat akin to Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, for instance, would be a good start. Also, I thought Skyrim was already the shallow version of Skyrim.2 points

Last time I felt like OP was when I decided to replay the BG trilogy but faced the prospect of installing and configuring eleventy billion mods or playing vanilla (*shudder*). My backlog is made up of games I got for free, and one or two games I will get around to playing when my co-op partner is available. There are also some games I'd like to replay, but probably never will because I instead spend what free time I have in MMOs that I hate to varying degrees. I could seek help, but that would leave me with even less free time, which would in turn make me lag behind in the sempiternal hamster wheel, ultimately making the problem worse. My advice: stop worrying. You'll never play all games, watch all movies, and read all books. Throw away your checklist, and just play whatever tickles your fancy at the moment. Being productive isn't what a hobby is supposed to be about.2 points

...I can picture the conversations between her and Lilarcor. This would be the funniest thing in the world!!! edit: (I'm sure I'm not the first person to mention this)1 point

It's an open world game designed around first person view and the end of the trailer emulates Skyrim to the point it could be mistaken for a screenshot. It may have more complex mechanics and will almost certainly have a more complicated story than Skyrim, but comparisons and valid and probably something intended by Obsidian.1 point

It is very reasonable, yes. In this case you'd likely want to use Tuotilos Palm bashing shield to get fast attack speed and very good defenses.1 point

pre 2006, the post office were paying for veterans benefits of its employees. why? honest, we would need go back and look 'cause it were never o' particular interest to us. were an old rule which cost the post office billions. were a bunch o' post office issues such as the veterans benefits, as well as basic cost o' business practices, which made sense pre ww2, but were kinda poster child examples o' government inefficiency; had folks on both sides o' the aisle at a loss to explain why such stoopid were allowed to continue. is many complaints 'bout post office pension funding which is kinda being presented to the public distorted. pretty much every company needs cover pensions o' employees. 'course private companies can default, so it is a bit different. the biggest difference is actual how the post office covers employee medical post retirement and the need to fund the pensions in a ten-year period... a funding requirement which started right when the recession hit. many progressives don't like being critical o' socialized medicine and showing an example where the post office got kneecapped by needing to cover medical o' retirees does not play as well as blame bush or blame republicans. Congress fixed the post office in just the wrong way at just the wrong time and it ain't gonna be fixed regardless o' who trump appoints as postmaster or by executive order. Congress needs get off their arse and deal with the problems they created. HA! Good Fun!1 point

@Guard Dog I don't know if I agree with point 3. State enterprises CAN be very profitable - but it's hard if politicians do their best to make them fail so they can score political points. "We need to dismantle State Enterprise X! It doesn't generate profit!" "...well yeah, you underfunded it, appointed your incompetent friend as its leader and sacked half of their workers, duh." Besides, a state enterprise has the advantage of not necessarily needing to be profit-based, giving huge potential for quality if not hindered by politics. As a wine nerd I'm thankful for our state-owned wine monopoly stores that are in another league than 99% of all wine shops in the world. There's also our national oil fund...another example of how privatization isn't always the smart move. There is no set rule here. It can work. (But possibly not in a country where everyone largely distrusts the government, I'll concede that!)1 point

Rumor has it that by the end of this month (Aug 27) the "water" update will be out. Again, just a rumor but this would include lillypads, strider, and a koi fish which you can make armor and weapons out of its scales.1 point

One solution is to dual wield the saber and a one handed firearm (pistol, blunderbuss). That way you have dual wielding attack speed but only attack with the melee weapon when in melee range. Not optimal for full attack abilities, though.1 point

Just to be sure: You can insult villagers until they attack so you can kill them without being a wanted criminal. I have not tested if you can kill guards this way without being a criminal. Its been ages since I played Morrowind.1 point

ok I would love a pet Aphid .... they're just too damn adorable but I see no point in a mount, unless they open up the whole damn neighborhood if we're suddenly dealing with 3-4 square blocks .... THEN I'm ok with an Ant mount spiders are not tamable creatures ... period .... same with the Larva, Bombardier Bugs, Stink Bugs ... they are not tamable Aphids are tamable ants in the Amazon are known to keep Aphid Ranches ...1 point

I think it would be really cool if you could ride a bug or fly one. Also it would be cool to have like something you could attach to a bug and carrier like stuff around like grass planks and othe stuff.1 point

I'd like to see a grass ladder. The mechanic would be that it's not permanent like the grass foundations. It would, over time, dry and have a chance to break when being used.1 point

i like that. good idea. I'd like to have a shield, start out with Tier 1 clover leaf shield, then acorn shell, then lady bug, or stink bug as the stinkers in the game are also called shield bugs. We need ropes, a rope net to suspend items from grass to keep the ant thieves away. a rope ladder, you can you attach to the environment, like to climb in the abandoned ant hill to get to the lab. Rope could be made from combing woven fibers. a sled to increase your carry capacity. like on those treks to the berry bushes, i often find myself throwing stuff away that i wanted but need to make room for something else more important. if you could lash a sled together with a couple weed stems and grass planks that would be awesome. maybe use the dry grass chunks to make wheels and have Tier 2 as a small cart.1 point

Some sort of Grub farm would be nice, and some sort of method of stopping grass/sprigs/clover from growing back so we can make paths.1 point

I have also been wanting this feature added eventually, as sharing a world with other people is a hassle when it requires one specific person to always be available to access it. The sharable cloud save was one solution we came up, another was to have Microsoft share Majong's Realm tech with Obsidian so they can employ something similar. And if we're really just making pie in the sky wishes, offering basic tier Realm Access for Minecraft, Grounded, and any other sharable world as a part of a Game Pass Ultimate subscription would greatly enhance its value in many people's eyes.1 point

My solution to backlogs is not to develop a backlog. You don't save money, so to speak, if you never actually play/use those things you bought on sale. Such always reminds me (in an offhand/parallel way) of those old folks who would spend a dollar+ in gas to drive across town/city to save 25 cents with a coupon. That said, I'm kinda the same way these days regarding often installing a newly purchase game that I think I might be interested in (since there is rarely a "new" game I'm truly interested in), but then by the time it downloads/installs, I'm doing something else or don't want to play, and it'll sit on the PC untouched for ages. At some point you just have to either: --admit you're not going to play it any time "soon" and just uninstall it --force yourself to play it for at least two hours, or maybe two sessions of 2 hours. If, after that, you still never go back to it for weeks/months, uninstall it and consider it off the backlog.1 point
