Not sure where this is getting from but I think there was a lot of suggestions/threats from Russian about attacking NATO states, baltic ones to be precise4 points

I watched his talk, he says it will be a "Menschheitsaufgabe" - a task for humanity is a correct translation, though to me it feels a bit overblown in english. Could probably also translate it as "task for all of mankind" but idk. It's a single sentence in a 20 minutes talk, and before a few months ago they tried to avoid the topic as much as possible, so I wouldn't give much weight to it. I guess they just gave in because they got criticized hard for not doing anything and now they double down on the support. At least in public. However, keep in mind that he also said that talk with russia could resume if they end the war. So basically if russia would retreat now and completely leave ukraine, we would be inclined to act as if nothing ever happened.4 points

Unfortunatelly for Yemen, they are not seen as a Fortress against Mordor with nuclear arsenal. Like it or not, This really helps Ukraine a lot. All the Eastern European countries, with the exception of Hungary, will gladly throw as much money at reconstruction and defense of Ukraine as possible, just to keep the Orcs as far away from them as possible. Is it fair? No. Do I like that some countries have bigger value than others? Not really. But on the other hand. If Ukraine manages to win some day, rebuilding it with my taxpayer money, will make my family lives safer for decades to come (not only from military perspective, but also Neonazis here will lose their funding from Kremlin, and with it, their political power). Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for rebuilding Yemen, Iraq, nor Afghanistan. And yes… It sucks a lot…4 points

If you check, Katphood actually visited two weeks ago, so he was still kicking at least then - last time I checked, it was a hell of a lot longer than that, I think a couple of months at least. So a little bit of good news: look at all them post likes he handed out! Of course, with how things are going there, a lot can happen in two weeks...3 points

About a week ago I had all I could stand, I couldnt stand no more, of my new Transition lenses. I went back to the eyeglass store and fell on my sword fully prepared to have to purchase another set of new lenses (I kept the frames). To my great surprise, and even with me adding in a no-line bifocal, they replaced the lenses at no charge! Its a little freaky getting used to the bifocal part but they work great and I can now see up close without propping them on top of my head.2 points

Thanks everyone for all the information you've been providing! @Sarex I'm going to try the things you mentioned (not the sacrifice )next to see if I can get this issue to reproduce for me. As for all of you, is this happening 100% of the time you make posts or only sometimes? Thanks again2 points

The bottom line remains that Russia has both annexed Crimea and then later on attacked the whole of Ukraine with the intention of destroying the whole country. It doesn't matter how many broken treaties there are in the past: such attacks on sovereign countries are not justifiable. Russia's position where it demands various things from other countries is inherently untenable and unjustifiable; it simply has no power or right to demand any such things. Russia is the aggressor here, no matter how much it poses as a victim. No country or entity has or has had any intention to attack Russia, this is clear as day. The West has little moral superiority here, in that I agree with you. But that doesn't justify an attack, much less one where the intent is genocide.2 points

As in case of Ukraine, Putin would just probably count, that the West would collectively piss on Baltics with Article 5, as much as he did piss on Armenia with CSTO defense pact Putin definitely has miscalculated the western response to his attack on Ukraine. And now he just reaps, what he has sewn If Ukraine would fall in the first week, how he has calculated, I would bet my underwear, that Baltics would be attacked in the next decade.2 points

Well, says the person, who did cheat on Ukraine in the first place when in 2014, he shat all over the Budapest treaty, where Russia agreed to be a guarantor of Ukrainian territorial integrity2 points

It wasn't just the FIFA World Cup that Qatar bought through bribes... https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-63952993 "Greek MEP Eva Kaili has denied involvement in an alleged bribery scandal involving World Cup host Qatar at the European Parliament. She is one of four suspects charged, after Belgian investigators found large sums in cash in homes and a suitcase. MEPs have voted - by 625 to one - to strip Ms Kaili of her role as one of its 14 vice-presidents. Parliament leader Roberta Metsola has spoken of "difficult days for European democracy" --- "Qatar has denied any wrongdoing." --- Part of the generous "gifts" offered by Qatar to members of the European Parliament seized by police2 points

@rjshae I dont get the reference can you fill me in? I really dont understand the US military reluctance to go fully unmanned. What the difference between the pilot sitting in the ****pit, observing a bank of sensor displays and carrying out the mission, and a pilot doing the exact same thing in a room at some base? I suppose there could be a few milliseconds of "lag" between input and aircraft reaction? I mean, its not like theyre looking out the windows to see whats going on around them. It seems to me that the meat sack is just a liability in a bomber. IMO, we also need to stop clutching our pearls about "AI" and start making some serious gains.2 points

Eh, I managed to single player self-found finish Hell once, during the time in Lord of Destruction when physical resistance was not nerfed yet and the guided arrow bug with piercing still present. All that needed was farming Nightmare Mephisto for a bit. A bit cheap, perhaps, but it worked well enough. Nerfhammer/bugfix hit hard though.2 points

Nah, different era is just an excuse to expand the MP crowd for more milking. Good quality SP games still sell like hot cakes in millions. It’s just less profitable for the stockholders2 points

@RilleL Thanks for reporting. Yeah, this is the GUI library's doing... The "number editor" popup belongs to a particularily ancient part of the library and has quirks. The widget itself is basically a glorified text entry. To explain the 000000's, It's default behavior is to fill itself with with trailing 0's decimals. I've however disabled the decimals when editing an integer, and made it so that the decimals in a float value will initially be trimmed away. But once you press the +/- buttons, the widget will again fill the entry with trailing 0's decimals. It also formats the string independently of .NET locale like you guessed. I've published a new release which *should* fix the parsing of the string that is returned from the popup on all locales. Can you verify that the latest version is working? ______ Also, Thanks @Kvellen for finding some quite severe regressions and bugs: 2022-12-13 - TalkNode Speaker and Listener options are now updated when Character Mappings are edited - Fix float values being parsed incorrectly in GameData editor - Stop incorrectly throwing MismatchFromNodeID exception when loading Quests - Fix recusion causing stack overflow when editing Quest string tables.1 point

Access to special Trickster feats, including Improved Improved Improved Improved Critical, which requires Improved Improved Improved Critical, Improved Improved Critical and Improved Critical, as well as the Completely Normal Spell metamagic feat. CN reduces spell level by one while the Improved Critical line of feats gets you to 11-20 crit ranges, depending on your weapon of choice.1 point

Not really, in NATO there are members not under any serious threat and then there is the eastern Europe. If NATO is afraid of breaking a fingernail over Kiev then it will not be willing to bleed over Tallinn. Just over the last few months in Poland, people who would blindly trust in article 5 are now calling for panic-rearming and dreading future US pivot to Asia. And that's even before we even consider what European 'guarantees' for Russia could look like, because chances are they will demand some form of NATO roll-back.1 point

Speaking of Scooter. Seems like Tidal takes notes on what I do on this forum just as Netflix does, because this is what it offered me the other week, and this is the only recent place I got Scooter exposure from.1 point

Nomenclature issues aside, the RX 7900 XT is a terribly priced GPU, much like the RTX 4080, maybe even more so. I mean, the prices on all of these cards are horrific, but the 7900 XT is particularly egregiously priced when compared to the XTX. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a price cut on it fairly quickly, much like what happened with the Ryzen 7xxx CPUs. The RX 7900 XTX, on the other hand, will probably stay at the current price for quite a while, as it's a "good value" (I'm speaking in relative terms here), will likely remain in short supply for at least a couple months, and is already being scalped by scumbags.1 point

It is horrible, worse than "I'm The Villainess, So I'm Taming The Final Boss" and "The Beast Tamer Who Was Exiled from His Party Meets a Cat Girl From the Strongest Race". Combined. You don't need to bother with even five minutes of it. Source: I watched the preview. You'll like it. Or you won't. I'd recommend it to you on the basis of it not having any of the big ole "Bartimaeus Brain Blockers" that I noticed, but your tastes are obscure, even to yourself, and maybe one of the musical numbers will open up the cold hatred in your brain. The backdrop of fascism is something that it does really well and I thought that specifically might interest you.1 point

Yeah, It may be more trouble than it's worth. I had the idea when I was making lots of small changes, but all the included "junk" made it hard to identify my own changes at a glance. It's unfortunate that Deadfire doesn't default to the unmodded value instead of a default value when missing an entry. If that were the case, you would be able to just save only what you changed. I think an option to save your mod without formatting by removing all whitespace would be a good idea. That could save a lot of space without anything functionally different, it's how .gamedatabundles-files are after all.1 point
