  2. As a lot of people here know, it is often annoying that current hostiles effects, when reapplied, dont create a new effect (stack) but refresh the duration. That wotk in the same way for beneficial ones. There are some spells that trigger the Least Unstable Coil for a duration. These spells are listed here : Flame Shield (paladin, priest or wizard) Zandethus' Draconic Fury (wizard) Arkemyr's Mercurial Madness (wizard) Cloak of Death (wizard) Spark the souls of the Righteous (priest) Avenging Storm (Druid and Tekehu subclass) Pollen Patch (Druid) For example, a SC druid with an empowered Pollen Patch get one inspiration every second (even while stationary) and, because of Brilliant from the Least Unstable Coil, can recast Pollen Patch before this last is over. The spell is always considered as Empowered and the druid become the best healer/damage dealer I played. Note I equiped him with the Weyc Wand that really often skip the recovery. The only problem with Pollen Patch is, when an ally is down, the spell reanime him and is over. * The best character I tryed for this topic is Tekehu as SC stormspeaker. Empowering The Ranga at the start of the fight, with Sasha's sabre and the Weyc Wand give him the status of half-god of the storm : Energized and Thick Grew... is already a nice synergie Sasha's sabre refresh 3 phrases and one Empowering Point on weapon hit (The Ranga) On scoring crit with the Weyc Wand, the seal proc per 1s The Ranga in AoE The Weyc's Wand Follower of the Obscured skip very often the recovery for spell or weapon. The Ranga have a correct duration and can be refreshed when needed. ect Of course, Avenging Storm with Effort can Chain-lightning the enemies also and for the combat duration when refreshing the spell. This is some topics related : https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/126433-list-of-abilities-ans-spells-triggering-the-least-unstable-coil/ https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/126859-the-weycs-items-and-pulsing-spells/ https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/126845-encore-and-refreshing-finale-for-tekehu/ https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/126689-effort-avenging-storm-the-tempest/ By the way, for the list of abilities that trigger the Least Unstable Coil, I found another two but cant edit the topic (too old) : Eliminating Blow (Rogue) trigger this effect per bullet/ target in weapon's Aoe and work with a full attack. This is possible with a rogue to gain every inspirations with this ability. A paladin with Shared Flame could do potentialy the same.

  6. Note that this has a lots of applications in addition to unstable coil. Refreshed Empowered Spark the Soul of the Righteous or Avenging Storm is fun on its own.

  8. I once made a single class Kind Wayfarer with dual pistols (Scordeo's Trophy + Eccea's Arcane Blaster) who used all the reloading bonuses he could get. You can hit the reloading floor (can't go faster) rel. early then. This included a Troubadour in the party who sung Many Lives Pass By with Brisk Recitation. There was also a confused Berserker/Devoted who used Amra's Riven Gore and Carnage to accitentially kill those skeletons around him while attacking the enemies. This triggered Blood Thirst and cleaves from Mob Stance which turned him into an human-sized Blender. Devine Retribution of the SC Paladin also triggers when your parties' summons die - and the skeletons died faster than the Troubadour could summon them, providing an endless stream of Zeal for the Kind Wayfarer whom I simply set to AI and let him fire White Flames nonstop. He not only kept the whole party at high health but also did rely decent single target damage with those very fast pistol shots + lash. So - one of the best healers I ever had was a SC Paladin. Also one of the most boring ones to play because I didn't even have to touch him.

  9. Nope, it was day or two ago in occupied Popasna, where Wagner Group had HQs. There are also rumours about that hit, that Prygozin, the owner of Wagner could have been on site, during the explosion… He did not appeared in any Russian media since that explosion, but if this rumour is false, we will see him very soon alive and well, as he is a very prominent figure. Edit: also there are reports, that almost no action is happening at Bakhmut after that hit. And as the siege of this city was directly under the Wagner Group command, this could mean, that the results of that doxxing might be significant. in the next few days, we’ll definitely know, if the number of casualties in these two places among the officers were as high as “advertised”, based on the reports how the attacks on Bakhmut and Soledar will move forward…

  10. 750mil is the rumor I saw. Also looking at the purchase history of the company, seems like a certain Chinese company starting with a T is behind them.

  11. funnily enough, pets (not animal companions) can also get galawain's buff. normally completely unnoticable but i had a run where my obsidian wurm got the galawain's buff where they get a random tier 3 inspiration. it was actually a wee bit annoying since every time i reloaded the game or zoned into a location i'd see like the inspiration combat text float above the pet. and because the RNG seed is set at the start of the game, this lasted the entire run.

  12. Thanks again! You gave a perfectly clear and concise answer to every single one of my questions. I saw comments of yours from as far back as 2015. Do you still play the game?

  13. This sounds amazing actually, never noticed that Divine Retribution says ally and not party member (this kinda makes me wanna roll SC paladin). I have a followup question. Do effects that specify party member count animal companions? Specifically thinking about abusing Ghost Heart with it of course (with Neriscyrlas' Hope and Burden and whatever other effect I find if I start researching it). A quick note on the build I outlined: it feels amazing on easy to moderately hard encounters, but in the really hard ones I'm crying for my usual turtle Herald with the Shieldberer LOHs.

  14. Too bad, I think it would have been interesting to hear the though process if indeed Rasputin was an inspiration for Durance. But thank you for your time, and for looking! Very much appreciate it.

  16. you know, i always thought tekehu had pretty interesting subclasses but not necessarily a WOW character, but between this and Effort, it's funny to me that Tekehu has become a monster of a cheese character, all because of that recurring avenging storm cast

  18. Managed to finish the game. Was quite fun, though you still have to be a good D&D optimizer to play even on normal difficulty. And I swear some enemies have bugged DCs on their abilities... Played as a Trickster. Was quite fun, a bunch of fun stuff to do. Took the special Trickster ending. I'll probably replay the game as some other path, at some point. Maybe Lich, or a goody two-shoes Angel.

  19. Durance was written by Chris Avellone. He's not working at Obsidian anymore and I don't recall a thread or post where this was addressed (could have missed it of course). Maybe there's some place on the Internet where he said something about this. All I find is memes.

  21. We need roof pieces and floor pieces the will allow us to connect square structures to rounded structures. As of right now its weird/costly work arounds, triangle pieces blocking up stairs, or just dealing with holes. I also had another idea for building. When in the building view maybe you could add a faint red mesh over terrain/objects that players are not able to build on/through. Would make life a lot easier for us when choosing our base locations/layouts. I personally like to choose different locations from the streamers i watch or from different save files, just to keep it interesting. I also have noticed the entrance to the oak lab is a bit illogical. Busted door, working door, busted door. Shouldnt they all 3 be busted? If any should be ok maybe the outter most door. Maybe that door being busted is also what is causing the wolf spider issue (im sure that fix wont be that easy though ) Much love for you and this this amazing game! Grounded is a master piece and im getting so anxious to see it in its completed form.

  23. The amount of combat in the IE games would make turn-based gameplay untenable (unless you want BG1 to last approximately 200 hours in a utterly miserable slow slough where each battle with every random wolf takes a couple of minutes instead of 10 seconds like it does via RTwP), so you can throw out 90% of that as well. I don't really see how the IE games would benefit from being turn-based, particularly because they kind of already are - enemies generally operated in a (albeit somewhat chaotic) turn-based manner, it's the player that can bend and break the rules by operating outside of that structure with micro-managed movement, reactive targeting, intelligent ability sequencing, concerted character tactics, etc., .

  25. Played and finished The Bard's Tale: Tales of the Unknown. The remastered version, I mean. Even with the revamped character progression and the added option the game runs a little too long and overstays its welcome at the end. It became much more enjoyable after I stopped bravely facing every enemy I ran across and just ran from fights tha would be too long drawn out or flat out annoying, like having multiple groups of spellcasters at high ranges. Why bother, just run, the next fight is just around the corner anyway. All in all, for an almost fourty years old game, that was pretty good. Well, with the added quality of life from the remastered version. I'd be much less positive if I had to draw my own maps. While modern gaming sure feels like it has lost a certain charm (and perhaps it just doesn't feel like it), some things are best left in the past - although I'm willing to admit that might be just a matter of having much less spare time. Drawing dungeon maps was a nice part of the immersion back when Eye of the Beholder was new, but after a hard day's work, I'm not really in the mood to fight monsters and the game. Not sure if I want to immediately continue on to BT2.

  27. Hello First we are enjoying the game now to the BUGS..."PC steam multiplayer" Quick select inventory keeps breaking and other player becomes invisible. When broken the quick select become unusable i cant put any item into it and the number to quick select will not select/do anything, the Give Up option temporally fixes issue but it quickly re-breaks... it might correlate to the black ant hill by the garbage as that is where it first broke and is where it re-broke after the give up fix was first applied. If i need to send any game file for diagnose just tell me where to find it and i will send it TY

  28. Baldur’s Gate III: The Black Hound. Icewind Dale and NWN2 + expansions are probably my favorite incarnations of FR, I like how Black Isle and Obsidian, and Sawyer as a game director, approaches the setting and thought BG3 sounding very interesting, even though using the BG name was a bit if a cop out. And even after the game was canceled, I wish Josh had had the time ( / had been allowed?) to finish the NWN2 module he was working on.
