RIP - I can't tell you the number of times Irenicus' dialogue comes back to me due to David Warner's voice acting. "You will suffer. You. will. ALL. suffer." I just saw him on a Midsomer Murders over the weekend, and I watched Time after Time a few months ago. One of those actors who was always a delight to find out he was in a production.4 points

I never used it before because I thought the Imbued Ammunition was as it's displayed: 8-12 dmg plus some bonuses, however it seems that's more like an ability and gets all kinds of bonus to acc, pen and damage (from MIG a second time, and even from being Legendary). On PL8 I got +2.25PEN and +18ACC, totally cancelling out -15ACC from pistol modal. Total damage is comparable to a normal pistol but damage type is vastly superior, and with higher PEN. Benefiting from MIG twice and multiplicatively means it would be crazy for Helwalkers?3 points

No. Only healing received has an effect. Note that Fighter's Take the Hit DOES work against damage over time. One good combo is a single class Fighter and a single class Paladin in the same party. The Fighter soaks up half the self-damage from the Paladin's self-immolation ability, and with the appropriate upgrade the Paladin can also immediately help the Fighter heal it back for net gain of HP.3 points

Alien 3 (1992). If not enjoying big dumb Hollywood action blockbusters is a sin, then call me Antichristus Bartimaeus, because Alien 3 is far and away the better and more enjoyable film compared to Aliens - I actually rather enjoyed it. Though that comes with the caveat that I watched the "Assembly Cut" version of the film, which is half an hour longer than the theatrical cut and supposedly restores a great deal many scenes that help flesh out the characters better. The special effects, of course, aren't nearly as impressive (or flamboyant) as Aliens, but they're fine enough to carry a solid core of a film (this film actually had tension at various points - wow, imagine a horror film having tension!). Well, outside of a few scenes in particular that had visibly bad lighting/color balancing for the xenomorph anyways, .2 points

Historically you could do a far worse list for those fundamentally western institutions the IMF/ WB. The thing about Chinese projects, even the infamous Montenegran motorway to nowhere- or gold plated Sri Lankan ports, and a host of other things elsewhere outside of Africa- is that at least they actually do get built*. They may not bring the economic returns the countries' hoped for, but they did get built. In contrast... Zaire, Mobutu and the IMF, as just one example. Though if you read that it's pretty obvious that it really is just one example. Real "Want a simple way to lose weight quickly? Then buy this cheap $100mn saw on credit and amputate your leg!" type stuff. Amazing how consistently the IMF/ WB lent money that not only didn't produce anything positive at all, but the stipulated policies associated with it made things actively worse. For decades. Almost like it was deliberate policy, which of course it was. Most of the money lent to Zaire went to Mobutu, and everyone knew it. At least he wasn't a godless commie though. Now they've just switched to "here's money to grow bananas, coffee and chocolate; don't worry about food you can just buy our cheap subsidised grain! What could possibly go wrong?" *and just blaming China unfairly excuses the home grown politicians who approved the projects. What kind of numpty accepted that Montenegran project and how much cash ended up in his Cayman Is bank account? Oh yeah, it's their current President, who's a bit of a western darling.2 points

After being a little too lax for a few months, I was doing really well with my diet/eating habits again for over a month now. Even lost the few pounds I'd gained back. Then hubby's away and I went (in person) to the store to grab yogurt and salad dressing (not worth delivery service). And bought a bag of pepperoni sticks and 2 Lindt. dark choc.-orange candy bars. And over a span of 4 hours, I ate them. I am all urgh and bloated feeling, now.1 point

1:45 - seems pretty similar to Aliens style and stuff. To be fair, I don't think it's that her acting is actually bad, maybe it's more that ... well ... some people have a facial expressiveness and/or tonal style that we emotionally connect with on camera (and make us not-uncomfortable for some reason) almost no matter what, while others simply do not. I am quite sure that if you caught a hidden/candid video of me shouting/crying in anger at something, and then tried to post it saying I was actually acting, ppl would say I was a terrible actress, if you get what I mean. I'm probably over analyzing here but eh, that's what I do sometimes. Gorilla's in the Mist is a decent movie, btw. Not a favorite of mine (I was a little bored here and there) but not bad.1 point

I love Ms. Weaver, but imo she is not the best dramatic actress (especially if it's loudly dramatic) . She is always better with more understated or quieter moments - or comedy, sometimes. I feel the same way about Linda Hamilton. When she had those "emotional" moments in T2 re: the cpu inventor, I cringed - only thing I didn't like about that movie really. Alien is a great suspense/horror film. Aliens is great action/popcorn film (except for the child actress screaming constantly) if one likes such. The extended edition of Aliens doesn't add much unless you're into the mom/daughter dynamic I guess. There are no other "Alien" movies.1 point

This table is gorgeous and the 2 first columns are informational anyway. Is that all Keyworded weapons ? I would call it "Solution 1". It requires minus 1 PEN for all weapons going from 1 damage type to 2 damage types (Dragon's Dowry, Sun&Moon, Thundercrack Pistol and Grave Calling). "Solution 2" is to remove KW from Dragon's Dowry, Thundercrack Pistol, Grave Calling, and Hel Beckoning. A vote could help. Removing KW from Sun&Moon could lead to unexepcted consequences (because of weapon upgrades), so I think going for Solution 1 for Sun&Moon could be the best, independantly from the chosen solution for other weapons.1 point

Unlike KP, I think self-harm is preferable to watching Alien Resurrection. I watched the film at the theater. They had what they called a 'quadruple feature' midnight premiere of the film, showing Alien, Aliens and Alien³ back to back before Alien: Resurrection at midnight. The evening was quite the experience. It's incredible how much your butt will start to hurt even in the most comfortable of seats after nine hours of sitting and staring at a screen. Of course I failed to learn from the experience and repeated the same mistake with Lord of the Rings later. That was one movie less, but even more runtime. Still remember that the cinema chain had a couples' special at the time, two large soft drinks and a bucket of popcorn. I went there with a friend, and he didn't want any popcorn, but the special was cheaper than two regular sized soft drinks and separate popcorn, so we went and bought the special. Priceless look from the clerk lady. Kinda looked like she was afraid of catching the gay. Yeah, maybe not everything was better in the 90ies. That's the sort of thing that would have been hurtful if we had been an actual couple. Anyway, evening came as close to a complete bust as possible. Watching the four films back to back just shows you how much the series became gradually worse for the wear. While I'd agree that Alien³ isn't as bad as it is made out to be, watching it almost directly after Alien is not ideal. I even dozed off in the middle of watching it, which is really odd when I normally can't even sleep with the TV on.1 point

1. Sound and visual design have been pretty nice, definitely agree there - particularly the overall sound experience has been excellent. 2. Haven't had any issues with the zurks yet, as in about an hour and a half of gameplay I've only had like two attach to me thus far and obviously haven't had any game overs...but I do make a habit of tactically waiting, drawing them out, running pretty parabolic-shaped movement routes, etc., where appropriate. 3. One thing I did like about the "cat things to do" was using windows shades as scratch pads in order to open up new routes through windows. They probably needed to figure out more purposes for cat things so it's not just totally pointless window dressing, so to speak. I played about half an hour early this morning and had a better time.1 point

It works for me editing those two loot lists. Can you post the edits you've made? I added to the bottom of the items list: { "Conditional": { "Conditional": { "Operator": 0, "Components": [] }, "OutputChance": 1, "MinCount": 1, "MaxCount": 1, "Weight": 1, "ItemID": "f51bb759-c5b3-437f-84ea-ba5671d3fa27", "LootListID": "00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000", "LockedVisible": "false" } Full .gamedatabundle:1 point

Because I didn't get around to it when it was new. Trying it only once the more recent, shinier Infinity Engine games were out meant that it was a huge downgrade from the likes of BG2, PS:T and IWD2 (never played IWD1 either) and I couldn't be bothered sticking with it. I'm not sure if the various mods to improve the resolution and other QoL changes were out at the time. I'm sure it's a lot more playable these days, but it's too late because I'm just done with RTwP, and with big party-based (but single-player) RPGs in general.1 point

If everyone agrees that existent weapons should keep their keyword, then we can discuss further if putting them in line with Essence Interrupter, Frostfall and LDV is a good thing or not. Personally I consider it more of a flavor thing with no major implications (like opening doors to new powerful builds). It means you will have to switch less vs immunes/very high AR enemies (mostly on upscaled PotD): Frostseeker - helps vs constructs, big ooze, fire titan Thundercrack - helps vs bog lurkers, skeletons, death guards, some vithraks, most constructs, warden/tyrant of decay, Hauani, Ukaizo guardian, Auranic Dragon's Dowry - helps vs bog lurkers, skeletons, tyrant/warden of decay, Hauani Sun and Moon - helps vs bog oozes, some grubs, some panthers, Hauani; it makes also its draining ability less useless Grave Calling - helps vs earth blights, eotens, rathuns, menpwgras, flame nagas, Hauani, magma dragon, Fire Titan, Soul Collector Hel Beckoning - helps vs some ogres, constructs, Belranga A special case is Magran's Blessing shield - it already does crush/burn damage but it has no keyword attached to it...1 point

Stray - Two things I really like about this casual/chill game: ---sound design. From water/environment noises to enemies to yes, the cat's padded cadence footsteps and sporadic meowing when it lands, as well as the overall "silence" or bits of music. To the point when there are verbal language noises I feel like it disturbs it all. Thankfully there is little of that you must listen to. ---using visuals to set an emotional mood. Game made me feel a bit of sad early on, pensive and curious, and I have a feeling it's not going to be especially happy in the end. Not saying it's depressing, but it's not sunshine and rainbows either. Two things I don't like in this game: ---even using a controller, avoiding the zurks in those segments is annoying as all get out. Controlling the cat's movement at run/trying not to die-screen speed is very stiff/limited feeling, with some sense of too much input and game action delay (like, runsweverrunrun wait for an "x" to appear, try to jump) and It takes me several tries every time - (edit: if you mess up/don't figure something out, it's death-screen, not forgiving at all) the 2nd time you encounter them is a rather long extended sequence. Supposedly you get some auto-weapon thing to deal with them later and I hope that'll make it better. I think the game could have not used/had a direct enemy threat element at all and been just as good and/or eerie a game. ---there are cute cat things to do, but they mean nothing in terms of gameplay. As a cat person, I still enjoy them, but it would've been nice if such things were more incorporated into actual gameplay vs. just decorative. Like, you can drink out of water puddles, but there is (so far) no reason to. Maybe there should've been at least a minor thirst/hunger survival aspect.1 point

In the beginning of June, I have posted a Tweet about destruction of Wagner Base deep in LNR with hundreds of their mercenaries blown up. At the time it was just a rumour, although Girkin the **** was tweeting little bit about it as well, in the UA, there was almost complete silence about this mission. Now finally after month and a half, there is finally official confirmation of this attack from the Ukrainian side, in a nice article, how the information is collected behind enemy lines. The number of killed mercenaries is between 50 - 200, which is a pretty big blow, as most of these Wagners were highly trained and disciplined compared to DNR/LNR "volunteers". https://kyivindependent.com/national/exclusive-inside-ukraines-covert-operation-to-take-out-elite-wagner-group-mercenaries-in-donbas1 point
