  1. Believe it or not, I was thinking about this spell during this weak. I was unsure. Basically it is a slower Disintigrate (with about the same damages... except it benefits less from PL as a Tier 9, with an affliction on top of it that synergizes pretty well. I think that Cipher zre supposed to be a bit better at Single Target damages. Enfeebled tends to synergizes with itself, which implies I would have to reduce the base duration so the final duration doesn't change. Reflexion in progress, share your thoughts. EDIT : It could also be a hard -100% healing, replacing CON Affliction. This won't necessarily stronger, but at least unique. At Tier 9, tools bypassing Resistance are neat.

  2. I can't remember if this was already discussed or even modded (sorry if that's the case) - but don't you think Concelhaut's Corrosive Skin should cause Enfeebled instead of Weakened? According to the desciption the spell should "prevent" healing. That would be the case with Enfeebled, not Weakened (50% healing still applies). Also the spell is notably weaker than some other PL9 alternatives...

  3. Sure. For example you can have fun with stuff like Necklace of Unlocked Possibilities which will give your phantom a random unique weapon every time you summon it. I didn't try it on Dichotomous Soul though... but with Watery Double and Phantoms accessories work 100%. I'm not using Dichotomous Soul much so I'm not 100% sure there. Edit: just checked: also works with Dichotomous Soul. In case of the Necklace of Unlocked Possib. they each receive a different unique weapon.

  5. Both effects can stack 5 times. The duration discrepancy is probably an oversight left over from patch. From what i see, it got a duration nerf on patch 1.1 from 35s to 15s but devs probably missed the second effect.(or maybe second effect was added later ?)

  6. I'm using the 4th mod in the dl list, but I increase the 1.25 value https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/43?tab=files . By the way, you did a really nice job with your BPM Yes, exactely, my first reason to use this mod was because otherwise I dont use, never, watcher's ability, I want to economise them ... Yes you are right, the Insighful effect may trigger but not the weapon AoE full attack, I'm going to look about Chillfog-on-death from the Acolyte Frostbite is working with the cape, or to switch off the Effort for the Phantom (Cape of the Falling Star do superior damages than Effort for him).

  7. Guild Wars 2 fourth beta preview of the nine new class specializations coming up soon (taking the total to 27 specializations plus 9 "core" classes). Mostly I'm looking forward to the new siege turtle. A two person mount with cannons and jump packs. What's not to love

  8. For me it's usually only a factor with chanters. Pretty much all chanter invocations are extremely loud so they tend to draw in enemies from adjacent rooms. Ironically Thunderous Report on Kitchen Stove is quiet.

  9. Not too dissimilar to what some other oldheads have expressed, e.g. Hayao Miyazaki. The industry is in a bad place...but it's only in a bad place because of its audience and what they want and it being financially unwise to not cater to them. And financially exploitable subcultures being what they are, things are not likely to change anytime soon...which is good for my watchlist remaining thankfully short, but not so good for quality entertainment and ideas being told. "But wait a minute, what about the films themselves? Supporting the industry is great and all, but couldn't Anno have made good Evangelion films AND helped the industry?" My question exactly, Mr. Video Guy...my question exactly, .

  10. JoJo Stardust Crusaders 18: Arabia Fats' The Sun. Interesting stando, but the real standout moment was when the gang broke out in laughter. Because no one in this show laughs normally. Pretty interesting. I have to check out that thing in the middle Anno helped get going, because that animation looked great. But if anyone want a TL;DW

  12. And a Woedica priest can enfeebled many ennemies with Writ of Mending at PL9 ; enfeebled one of them with DoT seems equivalent, what do you think about?
    2 points
  13. Corrosive Skion at PL9 is 1 spell/encounter and it "only" does corrode dmg (9 PEN). I cannot really see how this is as good as Disintegrate which gets paid with focus, does more overall raw damage and isn't even expensive. It's just too weak for PL9 imo. Not counting when Bloodmage - but that's another story. I'm pretty sure not many SC Wizard players ever take it... Lowering the base duration in order to set it to overall 30 secs again wouldn't be nice - since that would be bad for scaling with INT. -100% healing instead of enfeebled would be a solution, but I prefer systemic approaches. Introducing a "special" effect instead of using an exisiting affliction is not what I would do personally. Also it would make it kind of a more potent death sentence - since you wouldn't be able to counter it with an inspiration. I personally would be totally fine with enfeebled raising the duration to 45 secs immediately. 8 corrode dmg per sec would mean 360 corrode dmg (with 10 MIG and INT). That's not unbelievably high in the late game and most tough enemies have way more health than that. They also might have high AR so with underpenetration that would result in rel. low damage overall. And there's always the risk of grazing or missing that precious 1/encounter spell. Also it takes a long time to actually kill a late game enemy because of the rel. low ticks. So - dps is not stellar. Then it's rel. easy to dispel enfeebled with any CON inspiration and then heal the victim back up. A resistance would even prevent enfeebled and only result in weakened. At the same time: when you can't do/have any of that then it will be pretty devastating - as a PL9 single target, 1/encounter spell should be imo. In theory it's a cool spell - could be cooler though.

  14. The AoE shock deal less damages, and the Faling Star deal fire or crush damages, and both delete the Effort AoE. But the Seven bolts abilitie is really devastating. For Acolyte Frostbite, that work in a weird way : on death two chillfog appears, dealing a env. 5-15 base damages (with a low pen of 5, -75%) , blinding as espected and ticking for the duration, but nothing happen on tick. Without other source of On-death-Aoe, the ticks deals the same amount of damage, and the duration is low. I take a screenshot for the Ninagauth's freezing pillars : So the duration is longer than I previously said, and the Precision is in reality 120 (20 base + 14 Per (9+5 from Aware)+ 57 level+ 10 capacity level+ 2 PL magician+ 7 Fighting Spirit (human bloodied)+ 10 devotion of the Faithful) . That mean, with the Vaporous Grimoire, 68-78 * 5 * 3 before "reload" with Blood Sacrifice, with the condition to hit each time.

  15. Futility is also weird because it is listed under benefical effects on the enemy. You can use it to suck duration from enemies with Wall of Draining (as you can do with Cap of the Laughingstock). And I guess it can't be suppressed by Suppress Affliction then...? Stacking Action Speed penalties isn't too great though. I stacked 10 of Ball and Chain's Crushing Yoke and 10 of Futility on a Tiger and he was slower but not THAT slow...

  17. So first thing, I would only eat McDonald's if the alternative was something vile like Burger King or Subway. If I'm going to eat a fast food burger, it's going to be Whataburger. Secondly, there's been a trend of high profile chefs starting restaurants featuring simple street food like burgers, hot dogs, tacos, etc. Now some of this is a desire to break into a more casual dining market, which can be more lucrative than haute **** only affordable by rich ****ers, and some of it is trying to bourgeois-ify casual food to provide a novelty to rich ****ers. This is relevant because sometimes the former is just pretty damn good, like I love good barbecue or hot chicken and waffles to the point that I'd prefer it over most of the haute stuff some of the wealthier forum members eat, while the latter stuff like $100 burgers can go **** themselves. Now what this has to do with anime....well I think what makes both food and media work for me is feeling. Like I enjoy a stylistic romps and heartfelt stuff like Watanabe's animes, deep and horrifying **** like Berserk (90s), silly light hearted stuff like Sailor Moon, deconstructed versions of silly light hearted stuff like Madoka, and....well whatever the **** JoJo is. Sometimes you can look at them in terms of quality, ie Watanabe animes seem to have a very solid production while Sailor Moon was a low budget cash grab that somehow worked (aside from a certain horse), but I don't put much into that. The bigger qualifier for me is how did it make me feel, because at the end of the day all the technique or production values in the world can't save something that just isn't good while something good can bring subpar or mediocre things together to create something great. I don't know if this makes any sense at all, but I'd recommend anyone check out the live action movie Thunder Road (2018) to kind of see what I mean. It was made on a shoe string budget and imo easily beats out a ton of movies whose budget was gargantuan.

  18. Dunno what the point of that even was, somehow managed to be tepid and cringey (much like Moiraine and Lan's bath). You're told they're all ~20 a couple of times in dialogue. And that really is the problem with the 1st episode, so many of those changes took up time but weren't needed. Yeah, Egwene going for an involuntary swim is a metaphor for channeling saidar. Book readers don't need that though, and watchers don't have the context to 'get' it. Same with the 'rumours of 4 ta'veren'* line. Book readers go wtf? because that's contextually a stupid rumour while watchers go wtf? because they have no idea what ta'veren even is. *

  19. Yeah, between its innate abilities and the spells in the Brawler's Grimoire, it can come up with painful combos (no wonder they're the same go-to combos for many Battlemage builds out there!) while being quite durable, plus its minions can be a pain. Well after all, it's called an "Ancient Lich Battlemage" not a "Juvenile Lesser Wizard Slayer Xaurip" so I suppose it should offer a reasonable challenge! edit: one of few fights where Arcane Dampener can actually be useful if you can land vs. its high Will.

  20. Hello I have had grounded for a long time. I think it's all going in the right direction and love every single update thus far. All i wanted was too add to this great game. New Creature/ Weapons: ( I hear that Wood Termites are coming... Maybe... so they won't be added ) 1.) Earthworms: I think these would be great addition, when it rains they rise to the surface and maybe when it's dry out they dig underground. Combat could be every time you hit them the could multiply cause you cut them in half. There benefits could be more food related and fertilizer for crops. 2.) Earwigs: These are very common in most places. Earwigs could work to be getting a level 1 scythe and/or blade cause of their pincers. 3.) Ground Beetles: These could be very strong opponents, you could have to throw a bomb flip them on their backs and attack the soft belly. Could be used to create Beetle ( Crusader/ Persian Immortal ) armor/ Shield and could make Bolas to Trap/Capture insects 4.) Crickets: These could be a cool way to introduce homemade alarms, or instruments. They jump a lot and could introduce a little different fighting dynamic due to the jumping 5.) Flies: These would be great to add to the garbage section, they could also be used to make like goggles using their eyes, some type of flying contraption using their wings. They could also be used to introduce Maggots but idk what to do with those. 6.) Wireworms: I like the idea that theses could work like the Graboids from the movie tremors lol. Would love to have a enemy that burrows underground and tries to grab you and bring you under. 7.) Daddy Long Legs/ Cellar spiders: These would be really cool could build stilts, spears, maybe trebuchet ammo. Combat could work by having to take it out of his legs, his attacks could be like he drops to bite. 8.) DragonFly Nymphs: This could work as the Wolf Spider of the pond. They are vicious bugs and normally are rulers of the pond. They could be used to craft a Nymph Trident, Maybe even a Nymph Harpoon Gun. They have the ability to shoot water out and be able to get away, this could be a interesting dynamic in combat with them and maybe for some special crafting idk. Locations: 1.) Raised/Normal Garden: Could have Tomatoes, Carrots, Sunflowers,Squash and/or Whatever Vegetable/Fruit. This could be where a lot of the creatures I proposed could be and maybe there could be higher chances of combat cause the bugs are trying to get the food, so they will have a higher chance fight each other and you. There would be tons of places to put a boss battle if this came to be. 2.) Fire pit: This could be cool ( or hot lol). We could get ash, sinders, burnt wood. We could use this almost like a citronella to keep bugs away from your base. There would be no bugs ( cause they hate smoke ), But you would have to deal with the smoke and heat from cinders. We could find burnt carcass of bugs, Maybe a Field Station/ Research Facility. We could get fluid from a broken zippo lighter or be able to scavenge things off of matches. We could make molotovs, exploding arrows, flaming arrows and ash bombs or make a smoke gun to scare away insects or put bees to sleep. 3.) Stream: It would be really cool to have a stream come off the pond or be its own thing leading to another pond with like a mini waterfall. There could be a Research station behind the waterfall. This could make it so that we could have like a surfboard, raft, or Tube to float down on. They could sport a high variety of insects and resources. More things in the water would be awesome. 4.) Outdoor Mini Fridge: Could introduce Cold dynamic, would be nice to get ice, and other cold weather things BOSSES: 1.) Praying Mantis: I'm sure everyone and their mother has been asking for it. The potential for this creature are so gosh darn high. A Praying mantis Level 3 scythe, There armor could look live the Grim reaper. The fighting style would be bite jabs and grabs with its claws. Some have the ability to camouflage that would be a awesome fighting dynamic. 2.) DragonFly: This could serve as the Boss of the stream. There wings could be used to make gliders, Body could be used to make Knight and Shining or Dragon Armor because of their vibrant colors. They fly very fast and come in on precision strikes. The weapon i had in mind was like a Dragonfly Halbert, Pitchfork, or Pike. 3.) GrassHopper: These guys are pretty big so that's why i made him a boss. I did some research and these guys can be vicious, there mandibles are like chainsaws. They much very high and bite can be quite painful. They could produce a saw or the Macuahuitl ( Aztec Saw Blade ). There armor could also be inspired by a Aztec or Native American Armor. 4.) Centipedes: This would be terrifyingly great! A super long and terrifying enemy. He could be inside of the Shed, or in a stump. The Armor could be like a Egyptian style. The weapon that it makes could be a Khopesh Sword ( The Curved Sword ) or a double bladed scimitar . 5.) Escaped Pet Scorpion: This would be the only way i think we could get scorpions in the game. It would be the best place to fight it in the sandbox. Weapon could be Scorpion Scythe or Sais 6.) Escaped Pet Tarantula: This would be a cool way to get another big spider fight. Viking Armor would be nice, Weapon could be a two handed axe 7.) Garden Snake: This would be awesome! Like the Koi Fish this would be a scary roaming huge boss. We could make a Snake Whip and Snake Leather and other cool stuff Weapons: 1.) Throwing Stars: Could be made from any mandibles and will add to the strength depending on which mandible is used 2.) Trebuchet: These can be put to defend your base from invaders or be pulled. 3.) Catapult: These can be put to defend your base from invaders or be pulled. 4.) Roman Centurion Style Shield: It could be made from a type of Beetle if added These were just some of the things i thought up thanks!

  24. if kingmaker is any measure, wotr will never be fixed. is just a matter o' it being fixed enough to be playable, which is an admitted highly subjective threshold. don't hold your breath waiting for fixed. that said, am not sure how one guesses as to whether or not the game is stable enough to be playable. playability, we would argue, is also extreme build dependent. most o' the major quest bugs has been addressed, which is a pleasant shock. however, a few builds is hurt more than a little by bugs which has been 'round since at least the first beta. at some point waiting is gonna be offering severe diminishing returns, unless yours is a build which is crippled by bugs and if such is the case, you may never see a real fix. but am gonna repeat, 'cause am genuine surprised by the admission, most major quest bugs has been addressed by owlcat. new bugs do indeed pop up with each patch, but wotr quests is in a far better place than we woulda' imagined for late november if you had asked us to prognosticate in the month pre-release. HA! Good Fun!

  29. The deviled eggs were so delicious that I went ahead and used the rest of the dozen today to make more. Granted, I don't really have a ton of options of what to do with eggs in my truck. I didn't bring a frying pan, just a small pot with a lid to use on the small hot plate I have. Anyway, I'm curious what folks mix in with the egg yolks. I use a fairly standard recipe: Lots of mayo, a little mustard, and a little horseradish, plus the customary sprinkle of paprika on top after the filling is in the egg. Side note: I'm not sure how available it is in other parts of the country, much less internationally, but Duke's mayonnaise is the best. It's made in Richmond, VA and you can find it everywhere in the Virginias and Carolinas, but I haven't really noticed it in other places. You can toss Hellmann's in the trash, Duke's is better and usually the same price, if not cheaper, and Miracle Whip was made by either a lunatic or a psychopath, that stuff is vile. Anyway, does anyone put anything else in their deviled eggs?

  30. Georgia didn't have a hate crime statute on the books when the men were charged. They were, IIRC, charged in May and the Hate Crime law was signed in June 21. Difference between Malice Murder and Felony Murder is explained by a local station: https://www.11alive.com/article/news/crime/ahmaud-arbery/malice-murder-felony-murder-difference-ahmaud-arbery-death-trial/85-d13db692-cff9-4b4d-be73-5eba5ae22054

  35. Correct. Woodskin wouldalso work. Pollen Patch and Garden of Life as well iirc. Beetle Shell, too - but's that's not really useful unless you want to cast a long-lasting, pulsing spell (e.g. Moonwell) and then retreat into the shell and let the pulses profit from the raised PL. Even bothering yourself with Tanglefoot would work I think. Woodskin and Form of the Delemgan are the best options imo. I personally would pick staff and pike and switch based on the spells I want to cast and also based on the enemies' AR. Having crush and pierce as alternatives is good - having both at reach is even better. +3 PL from the staff is better than +2 from the pike... but the latter is universal while the Spine of Thicket Green "only" works for Beast and Plant spells. Vion-Ceth bonus is only +20%/+30% dmg which is pretty lame overall imo. I think you misunderstood. It converts poison/corrode damage should you get hit by it - not when you are causing it. Anything that raises MIG and INT since many of his spells are DoTs which profit a lot from a combined MIG and INT score. They are pretty bad. You can cheese the Fire Stag though: if you prevent death (for example via Barring Death's Door or Shieldbearer's Lay on Hands) you can trigger the self-destruct of the stag but it won't die. You can then trigger that action over and over again... Aspect of Galawain is cool visually - and you can make it quite tanky with "Wild Growth" (the robust spell you can use on summoned beasts - it has no duration and lasts as long as the summons lasts). But honestly... for its Power Level it's pretty lame and especially weak offensively. The Sporelings are excellent though. You can controll them. At higher levels they last for a really long time, they scale properly and get big health pools - and if you use both Wild Growth spells on them they can tank well. Also Call to the Primordals is a very good summoning spell. Some of the Oozes have special attacks (for example Plague of Insects - inlimited uses!). Multiclassing with a Helwalker is a good choice as well imo - since you will get bonus MIG, bonus INT, unlimited (paid with wounds) summons (Dichotomous Soul) and bonus ACC (Dance of Death) and casting speed (Swift Strikes). They do stack. Riposte and Offensive Parry can get triggered by the same miss. Wizard also does work bc. of the self buffs. With Wall of Draining you can later keep up all the self buffs forever. You can also prolong stuff like the deflection buff of the Mask of the Weyc (stacks with everything except Arcane Veil) and the +50 deflection from the Escape Cape (stacks with everything except Escape itself). Ciphers generate focus with Offensive Parry (but not Riposte). Shattered Pillar generates wounds with Offensive Parry (not Riposte). Swift Flurry/Heartbeat Drumming trigger from Offensive Parry, too (not Riposte). I think it even generates phrases for Skalds if it crits. Steel Garrote gets health from Offensive Parry (because it also causes dazed). But generally Trickster/Fighter is a good combo for this. Also because Refreshing Defense (+20 to all defenses) stacks with Mirrored Images (+30 to deflection). I prefer Unbroken (because Ryngrim's + Disengagment Attacks) but Devoted is fine, too if you want to stick to WotEP at all times. By the way: Riposte and Cleaving Stance both use the cone AoE of WotEP. Offensive Parry is single target. You might also want to look at the Great Sword "Effort". It has an enchantment that works like Vengeful Defeat and they stack. Immolation does raw damage - it doesn't work with Rekvu's Scorched Cloak. Parallel resurrection effects get all triggered at once and thus will be wasted. If you get two Rings of Reset (one by exporting/importing a character who wears it) you can stack them in the stash after use and the depleted one will get "reloaded". That way you can use it 3 times/encounter. It's a bit cheesy but the only way to really make such a build worthwhile imo. Else you will have debilitating injuries all the time.

Granted, I've read the first book at least 14 times (and probably more like 20) since I reread the whole series every time a new book came out. It's not like I would be asking for a scene for scene copy of the books, but they could have at least kept the feel (the raucousness of the Winespring inn in the show was completely wrong) and the significant plot points from the books (such as Rand/Mat/etc. seeing the Myrdraal before the attack.)

  40. For me, a 5/10 is "poor", 6/10 is "alright", 7/10 is "good", 8/10 is "great", 9/10 is "fantastic", and "10/10" would be perfect. And with my 75% subjective/25% objective rule, if you thought something was truly objectively trash but you love it anyways, 7 to maybe 7.5 is about the highest that I'd ever give it. From the sounds of it, you don't think it's particularly close to trash, but you also didn't quite love it, so maybe 7/10 is just about right. I give out 6-7/10s pretty easily - as long as I mostly enjoyed it and it wasn't actually badly made, it's not too difficult to get that 6 or 7. 8 and above is what's difficult, because an 8 is supposed to be "great", and what is "great" does not come around very often in my eyes. I think I've said this before, but when I watch RLM videos about movies/shows, I evaluate not just whether they liked it, but what they actually say about it. They may call something fantastic, one of their all-time favorites, one of the best things they've seen in years, etc., but I may very well know right off the bat from what they actually say about it that it doesn't appeal to me at all and there's almost zero chance of me enjoying it, so I don't care about it at all, and just watch their video for entertainment. On the other hand, they may say they simply liked something and get just a few sentences into actually talking about it before I close the video because I already know I want to watch it before they really go in-depth into it, and I'll watch the rest of the video after I've seen it. In a way, the same kind of process applies to your posts when you talk about a show like Nanoha - it's not just whether you or somebody else likes it (even if I implicitly trust the judgement of the person talking about it!), the specific things mentioned about it are what actually informs me whether I think I'd enjoy or hate it. It's a style and artistry thing. Miyu is a bit dark and definitely tragic, but it isn't really over-dramatic in your typical ANIME DRAMA fashion. The show isn't constantly trying to hammer into me the idea that Miyu's circumstances sure are the Big Sad, or that she's this totally normal and relatable character, or heck, that we should even necessarily be rooting for her at all times. Miyu was a show where one moment, she expressed concern because she heard a woman's scream far off in the distance, and literally the next moment she smiled and basically said "all is right with the world" because her fears were apparently assuaged when she then saw a dude jump off like a fourth floor balcony to his death. It was a show where I initially strongly disliked one of the secondary "protagonists" in Reiha, that I actually then started to like when she instead became a primary antagonist because I, like her, started to question Miyu and her methods and what she had been taught and thought that hey, maybe Reiha actually has a point here (even if I don't necessarily agree with her entire outlook either) and also, what she has personally had to deal with has kind of been a rough deal as well. It's a dark but soft and grounded anti-magical girl show at its core, with some unusual interfacing of smaller, nicer character moments and dark ideas and themes. It wasn't a perfect show by any means, but it's the only one of its type and it worked for me. But most importantly (), it's a show where the promotional posters look more like... ...instead of... The style, the artistry, the intended tone, the appeal, the...everything is, uh, a little different, to say the least. As always, I'm a big believer in shows/movies being what they're selling themselves in at least tone, style, and intended audience, and Miyu literally immediately interested me based off of what it was selling itself as soon as I saw it and and it held up its end of the bargain, and Nanoha...would likely do the same, except in the exact opposite way since very little about it, except for the good things you've had to say about its general writing quality, is even kind of appealing to me. Between... 1. The mentioned fan service... 2. Too much action... 3. Over-dramatic action... 4. Lack of (or way too "big" i.e. not grounded, not relatable, not interesting, or not even funny) character stuff... 5. "Epic" story stuff... (note: this is what I love about Miyu and Sakura over e.g. Sailor Moon - grounded and low-key stories that are incredibly personal to our characters instead of generic END OF THE WORLD-type nonsense that I usually just want to get over with as soon as humanly possible...if you want an epic, world-ending plot, you're going to have to really build up to it and get me into it a la Steven Universe...which of course, had its own problems in the ultimate execution of it, but at least still did a good job of getting there over the course of many seasons) 6. The general aesthetic...and holy crap, kill these character designs with fire, ye gods it's so incredibly bad - I know even newer anime gets so much worse than this, but man... 7. idk probably other things I just don't see it working out in any way for me. I like things to be done in a particular way, I want things to look a certain way that fit the tone and (non-visual) style of the show, certain styles of voice direction make my skin crawl, I want all the elements of a show to marry each other and form their own specific and cohesive style, and I just...you know, as always, I'm very particular. And I've always said that I experience what I hate much more strongly than what I like, so if even one element is misused or out of place in a major way, or something does the complete opposite of appealing to me (especially something fundamental that you would notice in a new show right off the bat that's going to be constantly there!), the entire house of cards collapses before it's even been built and there's virtually no hope for me to like it. Now, the chances of a show having such incredibly terrible music that I immediately hate the show in question are pretty low, especially because music tastes are malleable to a degree and different styles are appropriate for different shows...pointless and inappropriate nudity and/or fan service that involves the main characters that I'm supposed to like and take seriously, on the other hand? Yeah, that could do it, .

  41. the biggest mistake villeneuve made in his dune is the failure to recognize the pug factor. a couple minutes o' scenes with pugs coulda' changed the whole tone o' the film. maybe not. HA! Good Fun!
