  1. Just something I noted today while fighting Belranga. If you dominate her, she periodically uses an ability (Shattering Screech) that grants permanent Aware to all allies on the map. Usually this gets used on her babies, so no interesting interactions. However, the devs didn't set the ability to expire at the end of combat. If you put on Effigy's Husk and upgrade for immunity to Perception afflictions, you now have unconditional permanent Aware as long as you don't gain Intuitive through Watcher's Mien, the Fighter self-buff, or Least Unstable Coil. I don't think there's any other way to gain Intuitive.

  2. Here's some stuff I discovered about Sworn Enemy, with two paladins A and B in the same party: If A casts Sworn Enemy on an enemy, that enemy only takes bonus damage from A. B's Sworn Enemy does not override or stack with A's Sworn Enemy. If an enemy is already affected by A's Sworn Enemy and B also casts Sworn Enemy on them, nothing happens except for B losing a point of Zeal. If B's Sworn Enemy is upgraded (i.e. Pallegina's Mark of the Five Suns), it will affect the enemy parallel to A's Sworn Enemy. Both paladins deal bonus damage.

  4. The great thing about shifter is that the druid has a fair amount of spells that disable and weaken foes over time, like Plague of Insects, Relentless Storm and Nature's Terror. It's worth casting one or two of these spells before shifting and diving into melee. A number of tough encounters become much easier if you soften up the enemies first in this manner.

  5. my personal playstyle - early on i just dump spells until i run out (except maybe keep a heal in reserve) and then just shift-melee the rest of the fight. potd fights early on are long enough that this works. not much action economy at this stage. not sure if it's optimal, but the times i've done shfiters like this they've been party damage kings. mid to end game where i have a lot more spells, it basically depends on how many enemies and how effective nature's terror would be. Nature's Terror makes getting up close and personal to enemies really worth it as a shifter, so i'll aggressively shift and leave other spell casting behind if I think I can get good mileage out of a couple casts of the spell. If there's not a lot of enemies and/or they're spread out, i'll still shift because my one-on-one with shifting would be extremely effective still (but maybe i won't bother with nature's terror). If there's a bunch of spread out enemies or it's too dangerous to leap into the middle of things, I stay back and become more of a spell caster until i run out of spells and shift anyway. my stalker/shifter was more aggressive about shapeshifting in all situtations because i could still do things in shifted form, my shifted form was better (e.g. marked prey and stalker's link and hunter's claw), and it was safer (+1 AR especially).

  7. Is there a way to send a saved game file to a friend? If not then they should allow the friend or friends to save the game play when doing co-op .... It sucks when you and a friend put a lot of time into a game and can only enjoy all that hard work unless the person that has the saved game gets online to play ... also C:\Users\Your username\Saved Games\Grounded did not work!

  8. I was searching for Steins;Gate gifs and found a page with that stuff. The gifs from one episode actually look like hentai if you haven't watched it... @majestic, you don't wanna watch that episode, especially considering it happens in Faris' apartment... Btw, here is the meme I was waiting to post. Not necessarily what happens in Steins;Gate, but it will look like a spoiler to someone who hasn't watched it, so just in case I'll hide it:

  13. I especially like this combo (some damage that applies over time, be it a DoT like Plague or some ticking stuff like Relentless Storm or both ;)) when going Barbarian/Shifter. Just because of Blood Thirst. At some point, while you are engaged in melee combat, some weaker enemies will start dying from the spells and then Blood Thirst kicks in and speeds up your slashing considerably which is a lot of fun imo.

  14. That all sounds a little bit too complicated for my taste. So far I would still prefer the crit-based approach of the CP. In addition I would propose that any interrupt (that's not countered by concentration of course) will also pause Soul Mind to tune it down a bit - also fits thematically imo. I don't dare to suggest anything that's solely interrupt based although it would be the "cleanest" solution from a systems standpoint (I would like the mechanics of the Grimpoire of Vaporous Wizardry to be applied to a Psion: damage causes an interrupt - but no pause to focus generation) because of the ability to circumvent that completely with the Fractured Casque or perma-courageous.

  15. That is a matter of taste. I find the visuals of D:OS games to be extremely unappealing. BG3 is better but still not what I would prefer. --- The reason why they took Unity3D was most likely that they crowdfunded PoE as the last straw before going bankrupt. Unity3D is cheap and easy to use. It also allows mixing 2D and 3D content without modding the engine a ton. PoE was done as a spiritual successor of the old infinity engine games. Something like Larian's look amd feel (including rotating camera etc.) wouldn't have achieved that. Then, if you want to make a sequel that doesn't look fundamentally different from the first game you have to stick to the engine I guess. I think most players don't realize what an effort it is to develop an inhouse engine and which immense downsides such an approach has. I'll just name two for starters: - it takes a huge amount of time, know-how and money... while it per se doesn't generate any profit - if you employ new staff you have to school them for your inhouse-tech. This takes time and money again. It may also repell people who'd rather pick a job where they a) can start right with what they know and b) can improve their skills with an engine that other potential employers might be using as well. There's more of course but those two hurt the most imo. Well, having to deal with so many different platforms (Win, Mac, PS, Xbox etc.) is equally painful, bit I never released a game so I can't say for sure if this is a mess that hurts your business equally bad. I only produced "normal" software and even there it was so annoying to tailor your software to all the different platforms, browsers even until frameworks emerged which did all the work for you. I suspect games are no different in this case. The only advantage is that you can build an engine that fits your ideas 100%. But even then I'd argue that you're almost always better off modding an existing one or developing plugins/components. The only case where it might make sense is when you need a near to 100% optimized engine for a super demanding game, like most AAA+ tiles are, and you can't achieve it with existing engines. But games like PoE are not such games. I worked as a programmer, software engineer, project manager and then business owner long enough to have learned the hard way that if somebody suggests new inhouse solutions for stuff that can be done with existing frameworks you must take them to the broom closet and slap them to their senses. Maybe at the time Larian was starting with D:OS there was no engine that fit their special needs. Also they might have had a lot of legacy stuff and know-how from all the games they did, back to the original Divine Divinity - so it might be they didn't start from scratch.

This High Schooler Invented Color-Changing Sutures to Detect Infection that is complete brilliant... and so f'ing kewl. however, we were disappointed to read the following: "After graduation, Taylor hopes to attend Howard University, study political science and eventually become a lawyer." oh well. problem solving is an important skill in her chosen field, but somehow this feels like a waste o' talent. 18. Well I am happy to say I am officially employed again. I will no longer be a parasite living off the body of the state by drawing unemployment. Not that I had any qualms about that! A friend and former business partner has started a new company designing and building private 5G networks. He just signed me to a one year contract as a RF Performance consultant. Plus I’m buying a 10% ownership stake in the business. Our first zoom meeting is today and I will get to meet the design team. There are three design engineers and one performance guy. One of the engineers on the design team I’ve known for years. The other two I’ve never met. I have been doing a lot of reading catching up on the intricacies of n260 mmWave 5G. When I last worked in cellular 4G LTE was just rolling out. It has come a very long way in a very short time since then. A lot of catching up to do.

  24. Why is Obsidian - This is specific to Xbox One consoles. Grounded is not addressing or they are choosing to just ignore us. I have talked to Xbox and they continue to tell that it is not there problem and to contact Obsidian. We get this error: Out of video memory trying to allocate a rendering resource. Make sure your video card has the minimum required memory, try lowering the resolution and/or closing other applications that are running. Obsidian is working on new releases but are ignoring the fact that 1000's of people are are not able to get into a multiplayer game and play with each other. FIX this Out of video memory issue first please - than fix the issue of the multiplayer. Just give us the old Grounded game Release 10 and forget the Release 11 . It's of no use to all of your devoted followers if you can't even play it in multiplayer with friends and family and not have errors or getting kicked 5 times in 4 hours. Sorry for the rant but I just think they need to stop the updates and address these issue first before releasing anymore things to the game. It is so frustrating. P

Dear UC Santa Barbara: Don’t let a petulant billionaire build a prison dorm on your campus "Munger’s “revolutionary” design is really about jamming as many bodies as possible into as little square footage as possible — well beyond the typically soulless dormitory high-rises on campuses around the country (which at least come with windows)." 32. You never know when they'll strike! @Halloween: Had approximately 400 kids come by. Live in a very small town, but the particular street I am happens to be where most of the Halloween action goes down, so kinda get caught in the crossfire because of it. Was shocked to see a number of kids in some anime-related costumes, including a few girls in Sailor Moon outfits - again, small and rural town, so that was a little unusual to me. There must be some closet weeaboos around here somewhere... My own nieces went as Mario & Luigi (don't @ me, they adore those silly plumbers, my youngest niece is always telling people she wants to be a plumber when she grows up...and/or a princess, and yes, I really do mean she's said she wanted to be a "princess plumber" before), and we saw another couple of kids that also went as them, plus a couple of Bowsers and a Peach as well. Sadly, my own favorite Mario character, Princess Daisy, was utterly unrepresented as always...what a scam, .

A hard reset on my Xbox don´t solved the Problem... nothing works. Do you have any Ideas how i can play again? I want to see the new update so bad.
