  1. Morrowind had the best story of any Bethesda game.

  2. hey guys, quick question, is your cpu cooler supposed to look like this (image taken from someone else's reddit post but still accurate) In completely unrelated news, my Cinebench R23 score jumped up to 15620 without any OC or making any changes, no idea why though, must be magic I guess, . Oh, and in other, even more completely unrelated news, I have been cancelled from working in IT or with computers ever again, this is my final message to all of you because my PC and other devices have decided that I'm no longer allowed to use them, goodbye forever

  6. Saw a movie trailer on youtube yesterday, which looked quite funny (a movie called "Deadpool"), so being my impulsive, rash self, of course immediately ordered the dvd from a store. Should be here in a weeks time I hope. I noticed it has a sequel, but let's watch the first one first and then decide. If it sucks, it's the equivalent of 10 us dollars wasted, and my tears will dry up fast.

  8. Stupid things happen, don't beat yourself up for it. It's the confidence that gets you, a perfect example being my colleague, regarded as a PC expert, who was in a process of RMAing a PSU because he figured that it was the culprit for his newly built PC not starting up. What ended up being the case was he didn't plug in the CPU power connectors... Still chuckle to this day when I remember that story.

  9. Every time RDR2 goes on sale on PC I think about buying it, then remember it wants a 3rd party account/signup. So I go "nope, still not in the mood for that." It's why I'm not getting the Mass Effect remaster either. Remember when games didn't need you to register for anything and you weren't bombarded with sales pitches? You just saw something on the shelf, bought it, installed, played? Those were good times. And no, it's not about muh privacy - it's games, not my medical records. I'm just tired of everything (not just game services btw) being attached to a registration process and/or constant sales and "club" messages re: the "benefits" in some pre-play UI or in my email or text msg inbox or .... Maybe one day I will just give in to it all, but so far I'm still ... Get off my lawn, companies. I'm more likely to quit gaming/the 'net at this point.

  11. Did some exploring on YouTube and found Puparia. I love It. The atmosphere of this piece is something I can't quite explain. It is enchanting and wonderous but there is a tinge of uneasiness to it. I also linked the making of Puparia in the spoiler tag. This three minute animation took three years to make. Also @majestic I freaked out a little when I say your new profile pic.

  12. ^^^ All good points. I feel like armor items get damaged much too quickly. Especially the Weevil gas mask. It makes the haze zone hard to navigate carefully because your gas mask is taking constant damage. I'm still on the fence about changing the armor repair to require original components. I think it was a good idea mostly, but I feel that some of the requirement amounts are a little imbalanced. Overall, I feel that the latest updates are adding quality features, but I feel like the overall game balance has been negatively affected.

  13. There's some really great direction in Madoka that just sticks with you, especially with Kyubey. I find that with most things (that are good) I watch it first and just get lost in it* and on subsequent watches take a more analytical eye toward scenes. *It's hard to describe this, like I get enthralled with the story that I just find myself focusing on the whole thing and struggle to separate it into components to analyze. So my reviews tend to focus on a finished product that can't really be broken down. Anyways you're forgetting one major thing.

  14. That might work, but... honestly, changing avatars with Firefox is so incredibly buggy that I ended up switching to Edge just to switch it. The upload feature doesn't work right. So... if I change it again, then only back to Ol' Bluehair. The idea came to me when I watched the films. There are several shots of Kyubey where the entire screen is filled with his face. Only the dead stare, the red eyes, and all white. I even hat to edit the pictures and move the eyes closer together, because stupid forum stoftware is stupid (and size limits like it's 1998). Madoka spoilers:

  16. Is this the most recent NBA thread? Huh. The play-in format got a gift with the Lakers and Warriors matching up. The rest are pretty much dud, but this one is going to be fun. Curry has just been red hot for months. This is the defense he faces every night, and he still won the scoring title:

  18. Strange, "somehow" Netflix keeps playing Cardcaptor Sakura instead of anything else. I guess you guys are pretty much tired of hearing this already, but it's such a refreshing change from the other shows and movies I've been watching recently. Not just anime. It continues to be simple, completely free of any overarching storyline (or even themes, or anything, really) except for character interactions that span several episodes. The show recently added a relative of Shaoran who is intensely jealous of Sakura because she spends time with him. I still have no idea what it is with this anime, but it's great. Nothing ever happens, most of the time the "action" is limited to Sakura solving a "puzzle" of a sort (the "Glow" card she captured two episodes ago was a harmless swarm of fireflies that took all of 30 seconds to capture), the animation is okay but nothing great outside the character models themselves (the animators put a lot of effort into showing Sakura with constantly changing outfits), but I'll be damned if this isn't one of the most entertaining shows I've seen so far. It's mesmerizing. And really relaxing... Could still change, of course, still 50 episodes to go, but this is fun, even if I really have no real idea why.

  19. 18 start +1 human +1 background +2 Berath's Blessing +2 Token of Faith (killing the Bounty Purakau) +1 (and -35% hostile duration if you solo) Ring of the Solitary Wanderer (same Purakau) +1 Boots of stone (Berath's merchant sells them) (boots of the white are better, but hard to get early) +2 sleeping with rabyuna in Neketaka +2 the pet Eviee (later Nalvi with +1 is better since its just enough for 35 res lategame) =30 resolve with just one fight, everything else is available without fights. in a rest run you can swap rabyuna with food bonuses (i prefer glazed chops instead of resolve or -hostile duration bonuses) to finish the 35 resolve in a no rest run: +2 natures resolve (need 7 survival, no fights needed) +1 effigys resentment +2 alchemic brew (thats hard to get early... something for the lategame) +1 Cauldron Brew (same fight as above) (with dawnstar blessing for +50% healing for the OP OPness)

  20. Reminds me of - https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/saskatoon/roughriders-beef-1.5288976 "The post on BeefProducer.ca by rancher Adrienne Ivey said that seeing the Roughriders symbol in the commercial made her clench her teeth in frustration and broke her heart as a beef producer and a sports fan. She wrote that the commercial was a "direct slam to the hard working, dedicated, honest, beef producers in Saskatchewan. The very people buying Roughrider tickets"

  21. It's not hard to have best story among other Bethesda titles Though if you count Arkane as Bethesda too, well, Dishonored has hit a sweet spot with me, although I cannot say, it is something truly epic

  22. From the linked text: "Capitalism — laissez-faire capitalism — is the ideal economic system. It is the embodiment of individual freedom and the pursuit of material self-interest. Its result is the progressive rise in the material well-being of all, manifested in lengthening life spans and ever-improving standards of living." Uh huh... laissez faire capitalism was what they had in several European countries from like 1760 to 1860... next to the dark ages, one of the darkest periods in European history. Living standards took a dive to match those of serfs in the 1200's, people becoming effectively slaves and considered property of the factory owners, not unlike slaves kept on cotton farms in the south of the US half a century later. Both were considered less than live stock and expendable before anything of value (like machinery). Hopefully the world will never see "laissez faire" capitalism again.

  27. As long as Germany (and Germans) do business with China, they are in no position whatsoever to lecture anyone else on the subjects of human rights and environment issues, being a knowing accomplice to the violation of both. Claiming otherwise is hypocrisy. At least I know the Australian federal government is a bunch of no good cretins owned mostly by the mineral and fossil fuel industry and they've made no secret of wanting to promote coal and it's like at the expense of renewable energy projects (and runs de facto concentration camps on remote islands to process "asylum seekers", although lets be honest the genuine asylum seekers are an almost non existing minority amongst the economic migrants) They don't pretend to care about the environment (and actively fight windmills in true Don Quixote style, to prevent renewable energy from getting a foothold in Australia) or human rights (it's not profitable for the Liberal Party)
