It feels artificial to me too. Thus the question: if the resource regeneration would be allowed to go on (so long as there is Brilliant effect), would that be ok? Provided that we would also make changes to SoT, WoD and Shroud of Phantasm. ---- Re: another Brilliant effect: I like Boeroer's idea with restoration of Empower points. But I also like resource regeneration because there are fights were it is indeed needed. In case you need Russian translation here it is: (the names are in line with PoE1)3 points

It does, after season 1 each part is at least 39 episodes. It's probably best* to watch each part as it's own series, because they are somewhat independent and do have a new cast of characters for every part. *Unless you can't get enough of Dio That's how it goes, you start watching because it's a meme but keep watching because it's actually a fun and enjoyable show. It never really makes sense though.2 points

we were in university and law school during the years you mention, so is not a shock apartheid were a big deal for the people we most often interacted. on the negative side, am thinking all too often sa apartheid were (still is) used by americans as a contrast. in the eyes o' too many, apartheid were real racism and a whole lotta americans felt better about themselves by condemning the evils o' apartheid while kinda ignoring the continuing systemic racism in this country. am thinking many americans don't realize just how long overt discriminatory lending practices existed in the US (well into the 70s), and is not as if the resulting income disparity which such practices contributed to sudden evaporated. fix the income disparity issue in the US is hard and is less overt than apartheid, so many o' our fellow university students raged 'bout apartheid and felt a whole lot better 'bout ignoring the race problems here in the US. HA! Good Fun!2 points

The ugly/scary scenario would be for Texas and other unmasking states to start spiking again, right when the new strains are starting to take off here. He's taking an awful risk just to demonstrate his macho Republican bona fides. Giddy up.2 points

Thanks for the translations @Boeroer@Elric Galad@lewis_cb! I managed to locate vithrack luminaries in PoE1's stringtable entries, here are the official translations de Vithrack-Koryphäe es Luminar de Vithrack fr Sommité Vithrack I'm sorry to keep bothering you, but could you confirm that I've inserted them grammatically correct? de Dieser geheimnisvolle Trank wird aus gelösten Vithrack-Koryphäe-Hirnen destilliert und mit der Essenz eines unerbittlichen Adra-Animats aufgeladen. Yeah, that episode is...well, it's just not that great - but yes, thankfully just 10 minutes-long. And now you're onto episode 16, which is significantly better, to say the least!1 point
-
Hm. The advantage of 10 minutes episodes though. They're over quick when they're not particularily good. Sailor Moon SuperS feels like a slog in comparison.1 point

They are. I even feel disappointed when one of them is gone. SM S 321 point

Oh, right, I forgot to add: Finished Phantom Blood now. I also finished the first Cardcaptor Sakura episode, and the second one. I'm enjoying this one a lot, and that after only two episodes. Sakura is totally endearing and her best friend Tomoyo turns into a complete fangirl the moment she finds out that Sakura is actually a magical girl. I wonder if that keeps up, because currently she's chasing Sakura everywhere with her camcorder and documents her fights, and she insists on giving Sakura pretty costumes to fight the monsters in. Tomoyo comes from a very successful business family and has her family's servants and bodyguards drive her around. Inlcuding a van full of costumes to choose from pre-battle. It's hilarious and adorable, and the dialogue is fun. Sakura remarks that there probably aren't many elementary school girls that have body guards drive them around, and she comes back with "Yeah, but elementary school girls that can use magic are probably even rarer", that had me laughing for a good while. The english dub is a little less fun, somehow. Video timecoded for your conveniece, as usual. Jesus Christ that dub is bad, do yourself a favor and watch this one with subs. Edit: Oh, right, and Steven Universe:1 point

gd comments is particular funny given the schnook du jour is cuomo, the democrat governor o' ny. (pause to let people reflect) nothing? am suspecting a few folks may need have to google elliot spitzer. might wanna also google recent nj governors (democrat) as well? and has gd already forgot anthony weiner? keep in mind Gromnir is old enough to be recalling gary hart. is not always easy to predict when democrats and republicans will dig in to defend one o' their own. perhaps democrats woulda' rallied around franken if not for trump and his numerous sex scandals. with the me too movement in full swing and democrats trying to show they were not hypocrites, franken had zero chance to remain in office. if story broke a few years earlier, who knows if results would be different. HA! Good Fun!1 point

Maybe something like MIG 16 CON 10 DEX 16 PER 16 INT 16 RES 04 You need to use your defensive buffs in order to not get interrupted a lot because of your bad RES and mediocre CON. A Priest with Holy Meditation also helps. Use Infuse with Vital Essence if your health is running low. If you want a bad-ass looking melee makge there's nothing more stylish than Argwes Adra imo. Later there's also a helm for it. Both can be obtained in the mid game. If you like Sanguine Plate's look than that's also fine. The fitting helmet will also come later. Here's the four plate armors that have fitting helmets: White Crest (Stalwart Village), Argwes Adra (Endless Paths of Od Nua), He Carries Many Scars (Readric's Hold in Act III), Sanguine Plate (Defiance Bay) For more inspiration about stylish gear combos in PoE check out this thread:1 point

I feared they had used the direct translation from any dictionary. Koryphäe... that's like a exceptional expert. The Vithrack Expert, sure. But if that's the official translation then what can we do. I corrected it right in the quote. Embarrassingly I also had an error in the following sentence because in between I switched from "die Mixtur (sie)" to "der Trank (er)".1 point

6 European countries have suspended the use of Astra Zeneca vaccine following blood clots in those who received it. They are utterly incorrect to do so. Now I know affirmative action is popular around the world, but putting the intellectually challenged in charge of vaccine supervision is going a bit far. Frankly, the regulators of Austria, Denmark, Estonia, Luxembourg, Latvia and Norway should be summarily fired for incompetence. In a month's time they'll be bemoaning the lack of trust in vaccines having contributed completely needlessly to it themselves. 22 30 cases of thrombosis in 3 5m people is slightly less than the expected amount, suggesting that if anything the vaccine prevents clotting (it doesn't, of course, but it's better statistical analysis than those clowns have made, with apologies to clowns for the comparison) especially when it's administered primarily to oldies who are intrinsically more prone to blood clots than the general population. If all 30 people outright died- and only one has- there would still be a net decrease in death rate vs not vaccinating by more than an order of magnitude. And finally, one of the symptoms of covid-19 with a fairly long half life is... blood clots. Anyone who has had covid19 then been vaccinated is at an increased risk not because of the vaccination, but because of having had covid. So not only is the prevalence slightly lower compared to pre covid times, you'd actually expect post covid prevalence to be higher due to covid causing blood clots. Credit to the EMA for pointing most of that out, but they were far too polite about it.1 point

Just to give a technical recap : 1) vanilla game is bugged for Shifter only due to DurationOverride parameter below 2) BPM corrected it by setting Duration Override to 0 but also implemented duration scaling by PL for Spiritshift and fixed 4 ticks for raw DoT 3) It would be possible to implement a more conservative solution that only sets Duration Override to 0 (but not the other changes). Maybe @Phenomenum and @MaxQuest would want it for CP. On a mission to prove there can be only one -heim, the cultists of the Purple Toe go hunting for wyrdstone but find themselves surrounded by vampires and their minions: They try to grab strategic positions and pick their engagements against sometimes stupidly lucky opponents: It is a very close fight, but they survive, though one brother will suffer from lingering internal injuries and Thrice-Amnesiac Lopt the berserker reached a point where his goldfish like memory has him completely confused: They straight away headed back out to gather more loot. Again they were attacked (this time by a rival cult) but had time to regroup, grab a lot of loot and stash it in their wagon, then form a tight defense around it.1 point

@HurlshotI believe they recently added a Vulkan option on Windows (On Linux Vulkan is default, this is what I use, with an option to use OpenGL). I'm not sure whether the Windows default is DX10/11 or DX12, but you might want to try Vulkan, if you haven't already. The game will freeze for me, sometimes (though not often) for as much as 6 or 7 seconds, when autosaving, but it runs relatively well otherwise. I'm (most likely) on a different OS, so we're comparing apples and oranges, I guess. I do hope they optimize the game performance some more.1 point

It's amusing because Trump is very much a RINO. The term is about allegiance to Trump, rather than the individual's Republican credentials. I can't remember how many times Mitt Romney has been labelled a RINO by the Trumpies, but he certainly isn't a Democrat.1 point

@LadyCrimsonI'm sure I still have a ton of crafting to unlock. You unlock crafting via finding new materials and killing bosses. I've killed 2 bosses so far, there are at least 5 AFAIK. I'm sure there are several biomes I haven't visited yet. I'm just starting to venture into the plains (after getting horrifically murdered my first trip into it) as I make my way toward the third boss, Bonemass. Here's everything I've explored so far: That right there is as big as many open world games in their entirety. Here's what it looks like zoomed out to show the size of the full map:1 point
