Wait, there is an actual Murderkill River in Delaware? WTF? Ah, it's Dutch. Well that explains it.2 points

I'd rather have a consumable (with a lengthy use/recovery time) that is too costly to use in every single fight, but slowly regenerates resources during combat. Not useful due to taking too long and being cost-prohibitive in small combats, but addresses the dozen or so super long fights where running out of resources can happen.2 points

What about Penitent's Massage which gives back ressources when hitting allies with monk's fists ?2 points

It's been too long since I've posted some Moonspell: I probably linked that song three times already, and got no reactions. Guess this one won't be any different.2 points

It's a lot less embarrassing than the only metal I like, which is just...silly, fluffy video game/television stuff from a girl who's not even a metal artist and who doesn't even remotely try to sing like she's doing metal (...which is I guess why I like it, since I can't ever stand metal-ized vocals - I'll take sickly sweet and soft metal, thank you very much). At least those girls are sort of acting like they're doing metal. That and Radio Disney, of course, :2 points

I was always dissatisfied with the inventory The improved inventory was good with the 0.6 patch However I am worried that the inventory will be narrower than before 0.6 due to item repair materials at 0.7 I cant understand the upcoming item repair patch I wish I didn't patch the item repair1 point

Would like to see them implement a dodge or roll mechanic. Think this would help a stamina build using ranged weapons more, as would rely less on armour/blocking.1 point

Eh, HIM is dark/gothic rock and Moonspell is an actual gothic/black metal band with a vocalist that doesn't try to drown out their band mates incessant ineptitude. Although going purely from the posted video, you're not wrong (for the record, I like HIM ). Moonspell does have a lot of more experimental stuff too. They probably have an album for everyone. edit: Well look at Moonspell releasing new stuff that basically proves me wrong. Haha. Yeah, this is HIM 2.0 all right.1 point

So every int affliction would cause crush, or just cancel inspiration and leave drugged status without any effect? Both are weird. With trinkets there's funny thing - if multiclassed, one would have to choose which class needs resource more atm and juggle them (and grimoires, if multi with wizard). @"debate"above - too bad, that it's apparently not feasible to include any way of regenerating in separate file, for those who like it1 point

Is this rethorical question? It is not a solo game. But if you can introduce a change that doesn't make the game worse for the normal player but improves it for the ones who play late game content, megabosses and/or solo why would you oppose that? I mean if you think it's not worth the effort because not enough players would be affected then ok. But then say so. Because I can see no argument from a mechanical perspective that speaks against it. But if there are such arguments then I'd like to hear them - and not that I stopped thinking, ignore stuff or am whining. Because those attack just me but not the points I was making.1 point

Like Waski said, using No Quarter on yourself... But you have to be in combat and use a potion of Final Stand to avoid destroying yourself.1 point

So what about trinkets? Maybe items with resource regeneration effects would be better choice, than modifying abilities?1 point

What's a butt hose? Best argument for xoti as a monk or contemplative tank is probably tuolito's palm combined with her free small shield proficiency, since tuolito's palm gets you defensive bonuses, wound generation, can be enchanted to provide even better defenses, and also gets monk fist damage scaling. As a second choice, her lantern is a pretty good tank choice because it helps with defensive buffs, healing, and getting mortification back on kills is pretty nice. Plus you can enchant it for either action speed or spell reflection. That being said, IME it takes a while for her to get really good at it. Even with a small shield her defenses aren't that great, and you'll need to rely heavily on AR, which is harder for her than other classes (paladins, fighters, even barbarians have better support to get to higher AR). Litany for the Body can help, but you only get one cast until level 13, and all you need is one sickened to take away her +2 AR support.1 point

California teachers union president caught dropping his kid off at private school You have to love the hypocrisy. This is the guy that’s fighting to keep the schools closed. And why not? Doesn’t affect him does it? As scandal goes this is definitely small time. And it has nothing to do with the logistical problems public schools face during a pandemic. But it does look bad and I think hypocrisy should be exposed and ruthlessly mocked and ridiculed.1 point

I did a quick test on Dorudugan - assassin (with a 300+%lash) using Frostseeker and a scroll of Avenging Storm... Doru died in 10 regular shots. Probably not worth the effort for the Ultimate, but still fun.1 point

As title says. Many people on Reddit reported this issue too, even for Xbox version. Every time the host eats or picks mushroom, the game crashes to desktop without any error message. I was able to replicate this bug every time. The game crashes about 1-2 seconds after picking or eating the mushrooms. I picked them from the mushroom garden. Tbh I had the same issue after eating Aphid honeydew once, but it never happened again. It is worth to mention that I consumed mushrooms or honeydew from the inventory, I didn't use the quick bar. The simple solution for the ones experiencing this crash is, simply as that, avoiding picking or eating mushrooms if you're the host. The guests can eat them without any problems. We were able to play 1h 30' without issues last session.1 point

From what I've read, the difference comes down to different ingredients and different cocoa bean sources. They taste different in a sense like wines taste different. It boils down to personal preference.1 point

If Hershey uses local milk there's no reason to add* butyric acid as a 'preservative' at all, unless for some reason they want to store it longer term. Higher acid products tend to have longer shelf lives than 'straight' milk by a factor of maybe 4 times. Of course long term storage kind of defeats the purpose of fresh local sourcing. To be strenuously fair to them, there are seasonal milk shortages as cows dry off and have to go through another pregnancy cycle to start producing again, but those are managed and staggered, unless the US system is significantly different from elsewhere, and those limitations are present in Europe/ New Zealand/ anywhere else too. Overall, if they are selling butyric acid tainted chocolate as a matter of course it would be 100% a deliberate choice presumably to save money. *technically if it's lipolysed it's breaking a 4 carbon acid group off the end of a fat molecule rather than directly adding butyric acid, though the effect is the same. Naturally it would be lactic acid sending milk 'off' most of the time which is not fat related but lactose sugar metabolism, iirc. Butyric acid is from the fat elements going off instead, or in this case adding an enzyme to cleave it off.1 point

Agree with OP. New item repair mechanic just makes the game more annoying rather than difficult. Would rather they introduced a weapon repair kit similar to armour glue to use instead (and obviously continue the use of armour glue). Since weapons now need materials the same as their crafting gear, don't really see why quartzite should be used anymore either. Which is worse? Now more grinding out mobs to repair gear. Already had to farm quartzite, and web/berries for armour glue. Now have to lug around a bunch of different materials and constantly grinding certain bugs. I'll probably not use the bone dagger anymore now it needs sunken bone to repair. Just makes the game more repetitive rathen than add any level of difficulty.1 point

Turns out Epic gave me GTA5 at some point, so I decided to give it a go - I didn't really play many Rockstar games, mainly side series LA: Noir, Max Payne3. I got Elder Scrolls syndrome - played for couple of hours, wasn't terribly engaged and I found it too boring to continue. I had most funs playing tennis. I am somewhat torn about giving RDR2. I would love a good Wild West game, and it is definitely more my style then whatever GTA is. It just looks so not very interesting.1 point

It seems that Systemshock remake is back on track. There is new demo available on Steam and GoG. It's pretty generous when it comes to content - first level I believe. I died before reaching the end, though I feel I have been reaching the end (playing for about 2 hours) - I don't think it supports saves right now. I never played Systemshock1, UI just seemed a bit too prohibitive, and so far I liked a lot what I played. It still feels like an old game but in good ways. There are few kinks - these is one bit when you play a game of Plummer while levitating - that was super awkward. I assume the Plummer minigame wasn't done in real time in the original. But overall, good stuff.1 point

I don't know, Riker was also the focus character of the best clip show ever. Have you forgotten Shades of Gray?1 point

I've had a lot of success and fun with both Bleakwalker/Skald and Fighter/Skald using 'Thrice she was wronged' and it's upgrade as the primary invocation and having a mix of situational chants as passives. I'd get the Ice and Tornado invocations, too, for when they were better options for a given fight, but Thrice she was wronged is strong the entire game.1 point

What do you mean crunch? Having a lot of work to do in a short period of time with deadlines? Why does everyone get all upset about Game developers doing that? Accountants have to do that at period end every month. That's just the nature of work isn't it? Some periods are busier than others.1 point

Well this may be the exact dilemma with reviving that franchise. The two games were very different from one another, and for many fans they liked one or the other but not both. I for one loved 2 and hated 1. So exactly which way do you go with 3? More like 1 or more like 2?1 point

As someone for whom BG3 is meh but who loves the Forgotten Realms and craves an FR game (which is not the same as craving a D&D game), Obsidian making NwN3 is exactly what I myself have been hoping for.1 point

I look forward to the monthly updates and some of the changes can make one thing better and another worse. The 0.6 update for instance made acorn parts more common and reduced the glut of acorn tops, but it also reduced the availability of acorn bits, making keeping oneself fed more difficult. I think the changes to armor and tool/weapon repair is an example of something that is not really an improvement. Requiring large quantities of spare parts will make field repairs either impossible or completely undo the benefit of moving our equipped gear out of our inventory moot. I can fill my inventory with quartzite, ant parts, lady bug parts, berry leather, bone mint.... Or I can carry 2 of everything so I can fall back onto my spare item when it breaks. Another option is that I can carry peblet items and only use my tier II gear when it actually makes sense in order to save myself the cost in materials for repairs. Honestly if this is what you had in mind, keep the old style repair go back to having my gear in my inventory because the increased damage on death and the difficulty of making field repairs means I am just going to be spending more time running back and forth to base instead of actually playing the game. It feels like 1 step forward and 2 steps back. The whole item/gear wear isn't realistic to begin with since in real life these items would last a lot longer than they do now. Another option is keep with the plan and increase durability. A jaunt around the yard can easily wear out weapons such that I need to make multiple repairs to them during the course of my adventures. Exploring the hedge lab for the first time for instance could easily find you running out of critical things just when you need it far before you can complete your adventure. Or is it your intent to force people to build a base and shuttle in supplies prior to doing any exploration?1 point
