I've had enough of thinking about collecting money vs. crafting materials or whatever. So izza cheatz. Think this is enough? ...I can make V walk/run faster, too. Just a .5 speed increase and V's Speedy Gonzales on speed. It's not a flying cheat but it'll do. Haven't tried max speed yet - I wonder if it would make the game crash. ...yes, that's right, I've lost interest in playing totally legit, already. I'll probably never finish the plot anyway (just not interested....) so why not just goof off. ...did you know you can open your save.dat file in notepad? Not that it's much use but it was interesting to scan for the occasional readable bits, for several minutes. *LC's brain, again*2 points

Now I'm really curious to see if Hurlshot will know which one of the buttons means "yeah I'm old enough to look at alcohol" and all that stuff in the pop ups. No cheating with google!2 points

The Ice King This was a build I put together for fun and it ended up working out very well with support. The main synergy targeted is witch debuffs + icefall’s dispersed suffering to keep everything near you debuffed practically infinitely. Game version 5.0 Difficulty: PotD Solo: Untested Race: Any (Coastal Aumaua was what I used for testing) Class: Witch (Barbarian: No-sub /Cipher: Beguiler) Home: Your choice (White that wends is min/max combat choice, Deadfire gives extra conversation options) Background: Your choice (Deadfire + aristocrat provides extra conversation options.) Stats (w/ BB) Mig: 18 (20) Con: 8 (10) Dex: 8 (10) Per: 18 (20) Int: 18 (20) Res: 8 (10) Skills Active: Athletics 5 Arcana 15 Skills Passive: Your choice (I went high intimidate) Weapon Proficiencies: Mace Hatchet Your choice on rest Abilities: Frenzy, Eye strike Lingering Echoes Iron Will Thick skin, Biting whip Barbaric blow Two weapon style One stands alone, hammering thoughts Bloodlust Bloody Slaughter Spirit Frenzy, Body attunement Greater focus Savage defiance Interrupting Blows, Borrowed instinct Barbaric smash Leap Brute Force, Mind plague The Empty Soul Improved Critical Spirit Tornado, Ancestor’s memory Bloodthirst Equipment Weapon set 1: Frostfall (Dispersed suffering & shattering head) Acolyte’s frostbite (Vengeful Cold & Freezing Gust) Weapon set 2: Frostfall (Dispersed suffering & shattering head) Barditto’s luxury -or- magistrates cudgel -or- Grave calling Helm of the White Void Strand of favor Guardian’s plate Kuaru’s Prize Footsteps of the beast (not essential but leaving ice on the ground while you move is very thematic) Shroud of the phantasm (unlimited resources is nice) Whispers of Neriscyrlas The Left hand of the obscured Ring of prosperity’s Fortune The undying burden (sub in upright captains belt if you will be using pull spells) Pet: Pes Gameplay: Open up with borrowed instinct then leap in and tornado and start laying waste. Get plague and body attunement out between kills as soon as you can and just try to make some killing blows w/ barbaric smash. You will see lots of cold cones from the hatchet and shatters from the mace while adding duration to all the afflictions near you. Notes: 1. This will NOT work with berserker. You will die horribly, but fast, to yourself normally. Spreading afflictions then stacking duration on your self gets bad quickly. Being hobbled 24/7 while wearing the boots doesn’t help either. I tested as a berserker because I wanted to use the armor’s “while afflicted” abilities w/ frenzy but it really made me WAY too squishy; the second tornado will terrify yourself then if you keep auto attacking and each time you kill something that terrified will get extended. 2. This build works exceedingly well with a small party including the will-breaker. If you also use Eder’s pet unlock BB you can put Nalvi on him and get better action speed. Grave calling is really good for the stacking freeze damage and is superior to the hatchet for single target fights (or vessels since the chill fog proc that Frostfall will extend the blind for). 3. The armor is more for looks than the abilities on it and could be swapped out for Casità Samelia Legacy or DoC (although I had DoC on Will-breaker so it was unavailable for this guy).1 point

Dunno what the issue is. It's Witcher 3, only interesting. And yes, I also would rather have a small number of interesting side quests (like, say... hum... the original Witcher game maybe), but that's dead and done for, I guess. Thanks Obama Ubisoft.1 point

Saw that there is a 3rd person mod out but after looking at my character's shadow while he runs makes me think that's a bad idea1 point

I don't really understand what you mean by "stationary targets" and "better Sneak Attack". Carnage should apply to all enemies around the one you are targeting with your attacks. The one you are targeting shouldn't get hit by Carnage. I just loaded a savegame with a Barb (only mod is Community Patch) and my Carnage works like it should (not hitting the initial target of my attacks).1 point

I finally know how fallout 4 fans feel like. I am really enjoying this game. The story and atmosphere keeps me pulled in. The **** u can do is massive! The side gigs and just the **** u see is Witcher 3 quality. The main story and major side gigs I’d say are better than Witcher 3 writing. It’s been a long time since I could connect with the characters or actually caring about them. The random npcs ai and driving first person sucks but doesn’t bother me much at all bc I’m always heading somewhere and the landscape just distracts me instead. Driving 3rd person fixed most of my issues with driving problems. it does ALOT of things really well that distract or at least dampen its flaws for me. I waited 8 years for this game and didn’t get spoiled and went in blind and loving the hell outta it. got 70 hours on this playthru and I’m lvl 20 and street level 40. Love just sneaking in a corner outside a building and hacking in and taking out the whole building and using mantis arms for when I can’t hack.1 point

It is a pretty big game but I also think it's fairly easy to see how it could have/was supposed to be bigger and more. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving this game but I'd be lying if I said that it was as interactive and branching as it was talked up to be. It's pretty linear with almost nothing really mattering. Still easily my game of the year though PS I wanted Silverhand to be more Bowie but I can't really complain because I'm such a Keanu fanboy.1 point

Part of why DS9 was so great, some of the actors really went the extra mile. Armin Shimmerman is another one that comes to mind.1 point

Hey just a tip for this one. If you open the spinning wheel menu (as if you were going to spin something) you can just drag-and-drop the finished items into your inventory.1 point

A lot of good ideas here. I like the fire ant idea especially. Also, you make a very good point - even if they didn't add them as spawnable creatures, there SHOULD be crickets making noise at night!1 point

If they'd said Epstein had been murdered Assange probably would have been extradited. But instead he 'committed suicide', while supposedly in supermax and under suicide watch, showing they were incapable of preventing people from killing themselves. Absolutely hilarious.1 point

"Opinion by Ashton Carter, **** Cheney, William Cohen, Mark Esper, Robert Gates, Chuck Hagel, James Mattis, Leon Panetta, William Perry and Donald Rumsfeld" All 10 living former defense secretaries: Involving the military in election disputes would cross into dangerous territory another situation wherein the shocking aspect o' the story is not what fits within the four corners o' the piece. "As senior Defense Department leaders have noted, “there’s no role for the U.S. military in determining the outcome of a U.S. election.” Efforts to involve the U.S. armed forces in resolving election disputes would take us into dangerous, unlawful and unconstitutional territory. Civilian and military officials who direct or carry out such measures would be accountable, including potentially facing criminal penalties, for the grave consequences of their actions on our republic." every former defense secretary not in the dirt were concerned enough to state what should be axiomatic regarding a possibility which four years past woulda' been unthinkable. carter, cheney, cohen, esper, gates, hagel, mattis, panetta, perry and rumsfield is reminding military officials o' the oath they took to defend the Constitution. dismiss as impossible trump invoking the insurrection act in a last ditch effort to maintain his grip on the resolute desk ignores the dozens o' previous trump actions which were previous unthinkable, improbable and even impossible. am personal still in the "improbable" zone, but such does not blind us to a real possibility which for us became considerable less improbable today.1 point

LOL I wouldn't count on that. Witcher 3 is a bit different than niche titles like Pillars. Let 'em die. No sense kicking a dead horse.1 point

(e): Just noticed Gromnir posted this already, so consider this a reply to his post: The description says "blackmail", but I listened to all of it and didn't really hear anything that could qualify as blackmail (there are no threats or really anything he's holding over the Georgian Secretary of State), so I think that's a little sensationalist, but it was still amusing listening to Trump's pathetic and corrupt pleas.1 point

I bought some cranberry lime mixer and sone vodka in the hopes of taking advantage of my wife with some ****tails tonight. It worked out somewhat, but she does seem to be somewhat immune to vodka. You see, she spent a year dancing in Japan in her 20's, and now she has move onto something called Shochu: Anyways, I am drunk, and she is fine.1 point

I don't think there is such a thing as "bug-inducing content". I agree that Owlcat's effort was misguided to some degree, but I can easily forgive that because it was a result of ambition. I trust they will do better with the next game. For me, P:K is clearly better than Tyranny, hotfixes or not. The entire system in Tyranny is off-putting, as is the thematic starting point, although I do agree that there is more quality in the writing.1 point

Deadfire is, indeed, a strange beast. The story doesn't really work if you look at it carefully; it's just strange that the great revelation of PoE is essentially ignored in Deadfire, and then there's the paradox of the apparently urgent chase for Eothas, on the one hand, and the fact that the game is clearly designed so that you're meant to also explore the entire archipelago, on the other. It doesn't add up, it's just weird. However, the game's still great. I will happily agree with everyone who thinks that the game's foundations are shaky, but the game is still great.1 point

No, Feargus is not directing Avowed. Afaik he's not directing anything but is completely occupied with his role as CEO. When I said that Avowed is his "baby" I meant that he wanted Obsidian to develop a first person RPG since Skyrim came out - and now successfully pitched the idea to Microsoft.1 point

How about an interstellar post-apocalyptic setting in which the habitable planets of the galactic empire have been turned to rubble by giant death machines? That would save the developers the trouble of building world settings; instead it's all bases built from surviving freighters, outposts, recycled spacecraft, and other relics. Your job is to help rebuild a federation of new colonies, while destroying the last of the death machines.1 point

I typically only have mixed drinks when I am out with my wife, and typically we explore new drinks during our Vegas trips. But I am clearly missing all that with the pandemic, so I decided to throw some cheap bourbon in with spiced cider. It turned out pretty well! Itch is now scratched.1 point

For those peoples who have access to PS and want a create watercolor for character, but don't know what to do exactly. I desided to make dedicated topic (maybe it should be pinned), becose it's will be easier to find this information, rather than i simply post it in Portraits topic. Also becose i want to provide a detailed step-by-step guide, and this lead to huge size of posts. This technique i'm using long enough, and it was used for my Enhanced Companions Portraits mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/pillarsofeternity2/mods/297 The time needed to process one portrait may be vary, but usually it takes about 15-25 minutes. If you know what you need to do, of course. So don't be too scary - once you learn the core principes, you will be able to do this very quick. All typical settings for brushes and filters you can see on screenshots, but they a not mandatory and may slightly vary depends of material (dark portrait or light portrait etc.) Let's go... You can open screenshots in original size by mouse click.1 point
