Dusting off my old DVD collection, I rewatched Finding Nemo for the umpteenth time. One of my favourite movies As a counterpoint, wash away the sweet taste, Event Horizon was next. Somehow that movie always make me think of the WH40k universe2 points

I'm into the late stages of Yakuza: Like a Dragon. I somewhat have my final party composition figured out. I'll roll with Kasuga as Hero (all around), Saeko as Hostess (DPS caster), Nanba as either Musician or Fortuneteller (healer/support), and Eri as Matriarch (DPS fighter). In reserve Adachi as Detective (tank), Zhao as Chef (support), and Joon-gi Han as Hitman (DPS fighter). You can tag in a reserve any time(costs you a turn) so it pays to keep them sharp. I think I'm already slightly overleveled for the end game so I won't be grinding much more. I'll save getting to lev 99 for NG+.2 points

Acorn tops have little uses and are currently a wasted resource while also having the same drop rate as the extremely widely used acorn shells. Acorns should drop 2 shell pieces so as to reduce grind without devaluing the resource due to its still limited spawn while Tops should be given more uses so as not to be equally rare as Shells but while essentially being garbage.1 point

I've had problems with Galaxy too. Here's what I've leant from my now 6 years of experience using the platform: 1) Never pre download a game. To unlock the game Galaxy has to verify the game which can take as long as downloading to begin with. 2) They do something similar with patches. The data for the patch downloads first and then they alter the files within the game folder. This can take nearly as long as it would take you to download the game. 3) With a patch or unlocking game, even if the progress bar isn't moving that doesn't mean the game isn't still downloading. 4) Their servers are crap. Valve has a huge advantage here with the number and capacity of servers. Here's what I do. I never pre download a game even if I preordered it. I wait until after the official release and then start downloading. If the file size is pretty significant and if it doesn't come out on a day I have off (which they don't because no one releases weekend patches), then if a patch starts to download after I boot up my computer when I get home from work, I have to except that I'm not going to get to play that game that evening. That, or I can pause the patch before it really begins, play as much as I want, and then set it to download over night.1 point

the pandemic accelerated a trend. we sympathize-- villenueve is a victim o' bad luck or unfortunate timing. both. we expect a director to fight for a movie in which he has invested so much, but some kinda special dune exception does not seem likely in spite o' fact we were looking forward to it. after all, the industry were changing. the industry has changed. we rare go to theatre releases and am expecting we will do so less and less in the coming years. no matter how comfy you make the seats or how fantastic is the sound system, theatres is still dying. HA! Good Fun!1 point

Fleshmender's AR is too low. Put him into heavy(er) armor like Devil of Caroc or Bloody Links or even Brigandine/Plate. Even 1 point of AR can make a big difference, 2 or 3 are huge leaps in survivability. The Fleshmender's regeneration can't compete with higher AR if you get attacked frequently. Also use Savage/Stalwart Defiance. I like to use mind control like Whisper of Treason etc. against enemies who attack the Witch. Works very well if you are wielding clubs + modal or The Willbreaker.1 point

My answer to this is always "define halfway decently" for you. For me, at least, this is one of those games that runs ok even down towards 30fps, although minimally, imo 40-50fps is a far better/smoother experience so you don't dip below 30 in some spots. I'd guess 980 would be a mix of Low and Medium at 1080, some things off, depending on your tolerance levels. If you're wondering what pre-set "Low/1080" on PC looks like, something like this (first segment:1 point

For anyone using a Ryzen CPU, looks like the game was compiled using Intel's compiler which 'accidentally' gimps AMD performance (no SMT usage being most common symptom). If anyone wants to 'fix' performance on AMD you'll have to do the AuthenticAMD <--> GenuineAMD trick which tells the game you're using an Intel chip. that literally changes the flag that tells the game whether its an AMD or Intel chip, for up to 30% free performance in CPU limited situations (so practically, higher minimums and less stutter rather than 30% higher average fps). I'd laugh like a maniac if that were the reason for the poor performance on ps4/ xbone, though at least the backlash there might be enough to stop anyone using Intel's compiler.1 point

I have a 4790k, 980 and 16 GB and it runs ok on low. Seems to be ok on Medium as well, but I've not tried it a lot, will try that and let you know.1 point

am from the dakotas, and is less a gene thing than environmental... rusted out ford pickups, endless barbwire fences and the indescribable silence o' an arrow-straight highway which stretches two-lanes without a vehicle in sight all the way to the horizon under a sky so blue it would make your heart weep. we grew up with one foot in a stirrup and busting our arse on a ranch where you never quite caught up with all the work which needed be done. bruce doing a bit o' country on his last couple albums speaks to something fundamental in us. ... am suspecting the sacrilegious aspect o' the final offering may appeal to @Gorth HA! I do this too. I let every companion join the group, but I only use a fixed party. I don't really like switching teams in and out in RPGs. I think of gearing everyone up as payment for sticking around and guarding the ship. Also, I figure it reflects better on me as a leader if my followers are dressed to kill.1 point

Trying valiantly to care about any of the tasks I've been assigned today. Not really working. Of course my teammates who add no value other than "You fixed it, yet?" are a great assistance. Sadly you can't use .gifs as avatar's in Teams. I'd use :1 point

This epsiode of Discovery was glorious. I mean if you ignore the B-plot with the distress signal from the Federation starship out and the reason why Georgiou is "sick" - because she doesn't belong in this time. Yeah, sure, whatever. Other Trek shows toyed with the idea as well but usually came up with some quantum signature or other thingy instead of... stuff that doesn't fit inside the Trek canon. Anyway... uhm. The Kelvin Timeline has now been official moved to "parallel universe" territory. Not sure since when timelines spawn parellel universes in 'Trek, but who gives a damn. All hail Her Most Imperial Majesty, Mother of the Fatherland, Overlord of Vulcan, Dominus of Qo'noS, Regina Andor, Philippa Georgiou Augustus Iaponius Centarius! Also maybe turn down the lens flares? Geez film crew, geez. Just like in season 1, everything set in the mirror universe is great. The writers are having much more fun than coming up with "Star Trek" and the actors positively revel in the glory of Shatnarian overacting. The transition scene was fun too, but set in the regular 'Trek verse so it was pretty awful from an in-universe standpoint. It reminded me of Anubis talking to Daniel Jackson in Limbo at the end of Stargate SG-1 season eight. Fitting in the Stargate setting, less so in Star Trek. It just shows that Discovery is dragged down by being attached to Star Trek. And unlike with Star Trek: Picard, the show could probably stand on its own without the name. Maybe... just maybe stop spending money on trying to make this Star Trek and contact GW, make a TV show about the Imperium of Man, yes? Please?1 point

Why the suggestion: It doesn't seem logical that we can't wear Aphid Slippers the same time as wearing knee pads. It would give us more variety of appearance if we had more armor/accessory slots to fill. I would suggest 1) Head 2) Eyewear 3) Chest 4) Arms (which would include shoulders) 5) Legs 6) Feet This would be easier to implement assuming that a future update is going to no longer cause equipped armor to count against inventory. Finally, this suggestion would also play on some of the charm the game already has - it is actually akin to a medieval RPG - we have armor, weapons, buffs, big creatures, skills, bases that can be like castles, etc.. It would be neat to see our characters more adequately covered and stronger armor closer to late game. I picture a look similar to some of the lost boys in the old Robin Williams movie "Hook." Here's an example:1 point

I'd like to add on to the dye idea with the ability to stain grass and sturdy structures. This includes grass roofs. Would not affect weed stems, only grass and clover leaves. You could make the dyes by crushing flower petals, and there could also be a new "mixing station" where you can mix your dies. Code wise, this would involve adding a new "stain" layer to the grass and clover materials, with an uncolored variant of the default diffuse texture for it. There'd also need to be a color modifyer for the diffuse layer, which would copy the color values of the applied dye. The mixer building would need to use a CMYK color wheel to replicate the behavior of a subtractive color scheme. The GUI would work by having 2 mixing slots that you can drag 2 colors to mix them. You'd want to have 5 different base dies (Cyan, Magnets, Yellow, Black, and White) as well as water from a canteen. Water would delute the dye, which would be useful for black dye, as black die is incredibly overpowering. Diluted dies are transparent, but mixing diluted dies with regular dies would restore opacity. Mixing would yield two of the resulting mixture. You can put the resulting dyes back into the mixer to create a theoretically infinite spectrum of colors.1 point

Playing this game as an animator, I LOVE IT, but having a few additions would be amazing! Maybe making it to where leaves can become boats? For instance there is a place near the hedge that has these perfectly shaped boat-looking leaves. Also what about adding a grappling hook? Ya know, for those hard to reach spots? Another thing that would be neat is ladybug 'workers'. Strap a leaf and weed stem backpack to them for maximum storage spots! I personally just want and easier way to carry more that 5 pieces at a time and ultimately forget where I cut the dandelion down at...Thanks guys! Keep up the amazing work!1 point

If they ever implement shields, acorn tops could make good tier one round shields. I would also love to see more acorn shells come from each acorn. I seem to always be running out.1 point

This is just a collection of ideas and thoughts ive had about the game since playing it. I will break everything up into groups to better clarify my ideas. Please if you have any thoughts on these ideas or additions let me know. Thank you. Base Building Base Building is an important part of the game and i think the variety is lacking. It doesnt seem fully flushed out which is fine considering the development phase of the game and i have no problem with that these are just my ideas and im sure some of this is probably already in the works. Pebblet Walls Roofs Triangle Pieces Palisades Stairs Doors Windows Clay Walls Roofs Triangle Pieces Palisades Stairs Doors Windows Wood (A New material maybe gathered by chopping branches or saplings. This could be processed by a new workbench like a saw table which could require parts from a new enemy. (maybe the blades of a praying mantis. Alternatively maybe we make a saw from those blades to cut down wood from a resource.)) Walls Roofs Triangle Pieces Palisades Stairs Floors Doors Windows Crafting Decorations Weapons Rack (Like the clay Dummy but for Weapons) Couch Alternative Light Sources (Something that may specifically attach to fences) Tools Rack (Like the clay Dummy but for Tools) Meal Prep Water Filter (Could be connected to a larger water source and then must be connected to a sink to provide a more permanent water source) Sink (^) Refrigerator (To store cooked foods to add more value to foods cooked on fire instead of everyone just using jerky and acorn bits) (Could be a cool way to introduce a resource like ice the fridge may require a new piece every few days and thus keep the player more active in the daily activities of the game) Stove (Allow the player to use other parts of the bugs in recipes thatd provide other buffs than just food some may hydrate, damage buffs, temporary health buffs, etc)(Would open up a whole cooking storyline and different recipes and they could be stored in a fridge) Cook Book (This would reveal new recipes as players discovered them and can use as a reference for cooking) Utilities Sap catcher should be able to hold more than one sap Saw Table (Previous Reference Wood) (Could also be used to break apart bug parts that may have other uses once broken down) Catapult (It would be cool to fling myself across the map and use my glider to float down to safety)(Death if not deployed lol) Campfire (This is more than a light source...Id suggest the ability to put materials in it thatd have different effects. Maybe use lily wax as a natural bug repellent for like 10 feet or something, or put in bug parts as a natural bug lure and the different part could lure different bugs) (This could add variety to fighting and players activity during the night) Wood Pallet (To store previously referenced new material) Clay Pit (To store large amounts of clay in instead of needing to use chests) Pebble Quarry (Store all your pebbles in) Juice Collector (Similar to the Sap collector but punctured into the Juice Box for Juice) Dye Station (Maybe add a new set of mobs or resources that can be turned into dye that could be used on buildings or armor) Kiln/Furnace (Could be used with clay to make specific items giving more purpose to clay)(Could also be used with sand) Armor/Weapons/Gear (Some of the gear in the game isnt fully flushed out itd be cool to maybe make complete sets of armors like the Aphid, Weevil, Mite and Bird Feathers Personally i think there should be gear for every mob in the game) Genuinely i think the idea of having a special ability maybe even if its just associated to certain armors from certain bugs would be a cool idea for the game. Some Ideas Night Vision Goggles Higher Tier versions of the same Armor Like Ant armor LVL 3 that give 10 carry capacity More specific abilities or buffs granted with each armor set when worn in full (Example each ant armor grants plus 1 carry capacity but when worn in full its plus 5 totaling 10 carry capacity) (Or if there was Gnat armor maybe it gives you small wings for a light double jump) (Bee Armor could have a damage enemies on hit effect when attacked) More fully body Armor Armor Dyeing Character Clothing (This could be through a cosmetic store through micro transactions i wouldnt care itd be cool to stand out) Food Pouch (Could be used to hold food instead of taking up inventory space like a canteen) Bigger Backpacks (Craft able, Swappable, Customizable) (I wanna put the team on my back) Stackable Throwing Weapons (Small Knives, Shuriken, Axes, Spears) (Specifically Disposable throwing weapons as disposable as an arrow) Throws weapons should have more of an effect maybe my spear when thrown causes the bug to be stuck for a bit if its against a wall Fire Arrows Binoculars New types of gliders (Maybe one made from berry Leather or a bugs wings) New Bugs Praying Mantis Firefly (Armor lets you be your own light source in and out of water) Bees Pill Bugs Beetles Water Striders (Make Armor that lets you stride on the water) Horse/Green/House Flys Crickets (Can jump really high) Mosquitoes (Vampiric effect with armor on) Butterfly's Dragon Flies Black Ants (They could be used for World events with the red ants and go to war with each other) (could also be used for a seperate armor set of black ant armor and red ant armor maybe even a combo so players can stay neutral) Wasps (Very Scary) Queen Bee (Bee Hives baby, Honey, Honey Comb, Honey Nut Cheerios) Scorpions (Credit: Dgrim) Caterpillars (Credit: Dgrim) Centipedes (Credit: Dgrim) New Animals (Alot of these may be more worth while in world event type situations) Squirrel Owl (At Night) Dog and a Dog house Skunk Fox Stray Cat Snakes Pets and Taming (Using Spider Web to capture Bugs and Tame them) Aphids (Could find me Nectar or aphid Honeydew) Weevil (Could Smell out danger) Gnat (Could help find resources) Ant (Could Carry stuff) Soldier Ant (Fight or Move Fast as a mount) Lady bug (Carry Stuff and good protection moves slow) World Events Sprinklers (Flooding) Neighbor Kids throw a ball into the yard Lawnmower (Cuts some grass very Dangerous) Bug Raids (The bugs get aggravated in the yard and very hostile) Weather (Seasons and maybe the weather is reflected) Dog Playing in the Yard 9Might keep a certain area off limits or if your brave enough to go you can get a specific item only during that time) Resources Sand (Could be used to make glass maybe to stop gnats or other bugs that fly from getting in your windows) Ice (This could be used in the fridge "Previous Reference") (this could probably be implemented through a split cooler in the backyard may require a special armor to hold off the cold weather maybe a mite fuzz armor...fuzzy armor) DLC/Purchasable Content Different Characters/Kids to play as Different skins or outfits to wear as those characters Different Scab or backpack styles Let me know what you guys think or if you have any ideas or differing opinions about what ive mentioned and why i appreciate hearing from you all thank you.1 point

With all the buzz about Cyberpunk 2066, I decided to watch Johnny Mnemonic. I had no idea how close to reality this movie is. The year is 2021, there is a a global pandemic, and Big Pharma rules the world. This crazy guy just boosted his memory implant from 80 GB to 160 GB. That might be enough to download Cyberpunk 2066. Unfortunately his courier load is 320 GB. Yikes!0 points
